The Delaware Football Roundup is a weekly podcast focused on Delaware football, which debuted in Sept. 2017 and ran through the end of the football season in Nov. 2017. Each week, the podcast recapped and analyzed every element of the Blue Hens’ matchup — including game highlights, coach and player interviews and a preview of Delaware’s upcoming opponent. Brandon Holveck and Teddy Gelman co-produced the podcast and were regular on-air contributors. Michael Baumohl and Ahmed Qadri also made on-air appearances. A complete archive can be found here.

The annual Delaware Press Association Communications Contest is open to all professional communicators in Delaware and encourages and rewards excellence in communication. The contest is judge by out-of-state communications professionals to ensure impartiality and provides an opportunity to compete in various print or electronic broadcasting fields.

Gelman and Holveck were also awarded first place in the college writing category for “Psychological warfare: Over 14-year career fired volleyball coaches ‘operated on a platform of fear.'” The article was published in The Review, the independent student newspaper of the University of Delaware, in May 2017. The piece previously won the C.A. Tilghman Sr. Journalistic Award, which is given annually to the best article or series of articles published by The Review during the academic year.

The Delaware Football Roundup and “Psychological warfare,” will be competing for national honors in the National Federation of Press Women Communications Contest.

The Delaware Football Roundup is one of three shows featured on the Blue Hen Sports Cage podcast network’s feed (available on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Stitcher and Tune In).
