It's been a while (a year) since I last checked out my blog. I had a lot of interesting experiences while I was on a hiatus so I figured I could share some with you guys:

Went to Singapore w/ my Family

That was the highlight indeed, of all the things that I did last year and i'm sure as hell want to be back there! Singapore is a very nice country. People are nice and the environment is so green. Inspires us I.T. junkies to work and live there.

Bought a New Smartphone

Being a gizmo lover means I gotta have a plethora of gadgets every time I go. But most of the time I find myself carrying more than what's necessary. Enter Smartphone. It's a phone/media player/gps/pc. That's all that I need rather than bringing each of those gadgets with specific purposes. Gotta love them Smartphones.

Found out that I am a much more effective writer than a talker

I find it very ironic that, back when I was younger I thought that I'm one of the loudest people you can stumble upon. Fast forward today and you rarely ever see me make an effort to make friends. I was confused but then I found about this article: http://giftedkids.about.com/od/socialemotionalissues/tp/introverts.htm I was in awe when all signs pointed that I was an Introvert. But i'm happy as well because now I know a lot about myself and it also drives me to read and write more.

Hence the need to clean this blog with some of my nonsensical posts back then, I needed to reinvent myself back then so I took the time off so cleaning my blog is a start! Now I just need to find motivation to be able to continue with blogging. Let's get started!

This time, the Rockets get to have a say about decisions about the Rockets.

Last season, when Tracy McGrady decided to have microfracture knee surgery, ending his season, the Rockets found out by watching television.

They thought they sort of deserved to play a part in the decision-making, particularly since they were paying him roughly $20 million and their doctors had said for months that he could play his way back into being a star player. But it was his body, and his decision. And they were not exactly surprised. At that point, they did not necessarily disagree.

He had said publicly the previous week that he was not even considering surgery, but they had set up the appointments. They knew he was not traveling the country looking for a good barber.

Rockets coach Rick Adelman was livid at the way the announcement was handled. McGrady described it as a misunderstanding, and really, going public with the decision before discussing it privately did no harm. It wasn't the announcement that ended his season.

A season later, however, he clearly has not learned from the experience, or simply does not care if the Rockets object to his announcements. He said during the summer that he was 99 percent back and would be ready to practice with the team at the start of training camp. Things did not work out that way. According to the Rockets, he still has not gone through a full practice.

Then on Monday, in an email to Yahoo! Sports, he said he would play next Wednesday.

The problem with that was that Rockets general manager Daryl Morey had already said on Monday that nothing had changed in McGrady's timetable, that he won't play until the team considers him to be 100 percent and that he would need to be checked out in a full practice before he will be permitted to play a game.

Next full practice? Nov. 23.

One would think he would have to go all out for more than just one practice. Rick Adelman, who this time would seem to have some sort of say about when McGrady plays, has been clear that he does not want to repeat last season's failed effort to let McGrady (and Ron Artest) go in and out of the lineup based on how injured body parts felt at any particular hour.

McGrady has, however, been consistent. He went public when he decided his season was over last season, and has gone public when he thought it would begin this season.

Like last season, handling the decision this way, while discourteous at best, really won't make much of a difference. This season, however, the decision is not up to him. He'll play when someone else says he'll play.

In his blog, McGrady praised his teammates' for their strong start to the season. But he had stolen the attention from their play and put it back on the guy who is not playing. Worse, while Morey has said McGrady is not going through full participation in practice, McGrady said in his blog "I have been practicing, training, and rehabbing hard for my return to the court.

"I'm going full speed at practice and am not being held out of drills anymore. I'm hoping to get out there as soon as possible, and with everything that my doctors have been telling me, it sounds like that will be sooner rather than later."

The Rockets refused to play along. Morey released a statement Monday evening saying "no timetable has been set for his return."

In other words, this time, they will decide. And whether McGrady disagrees, if he was trying to pressure them on Monday, even if he believes he still calls the shots, won't matter. This time, despite McGrady's announcement, it's really not up to him.

Level Up! Live 2009

Ahhh... Levelup! Games. I've been playing alot of Online Games and the 1st MMO I had ever played was, Ragnarok Online. Wow, that was a long time ago. Things had changed.. More and more people are hooked into Online Gaming. So, Levelup! Games hosted it's 4th Consecutive Annual Games Convention, a.k.a Level Up! Live 2009. It was Held at the World Trade Center Manila at November 7-8, 2009. It's really fun to be in these events. It really makes you proud to be a Gamer, seeing thousands of people sharing the same passion with you! I've been going there too annually ever since LU! Live 06. These Conventions Hosts to 8 National Tournaments, Guild Booths, Activity Booths, And the Level Up! Cafe, in which you can go there and try all the new games that they offer. Level Up! also announced that they would be releasing a First Person Shooter MMO, named K.O.S. Online, maybe at the 1st Quarter of 2010. That game looks good! Kudos to Level Up! on bringing That game here in the Philippines. The experience there was so overwhelming! I would go there next year too, for sure. I took a nice amount of pictures there so, enjoy! Cabal Online

Cabal Online is a flashy fast-paced MMORPG which takes you to the world of Nevareth. I think the game is quite fun but, it's kinda boring when you grind at later levels. I currently have a level 56 Force Blader there(Mercury Server.. Add me up :P). The skill animations of every class is so uber cool and smooth. But my only comment is that the Maps are kinda small for this kind of MMO, unlike Perfect World or Lineage II or WoW. But the game's still highly addictive though, and IS better than Perfect World. I just hope that Ragnarok Online 2 launches soon!

Siam Shade

Siam Shade is so awesome! I like the drum beats of Junji, Kazuma's back up vocals, Daita's catchy guitar leads, and mostly Hideki's unique voice. I love their live performances especially on their V7 concert when they sang "Dreams", it was so cool! Even though they are disbanded i still think that they are one of the great bands in Japan ever! I also like MAXIMUM THE HORMONE and M.O.V.E. now hehehehehe.... Hideki in DETROX sounds more like M.T.H. now, but i still like it.
