Dental Again

Just came back from the dentist. The job was done great, but looking at the bill of how much the rest of work would cost me makes me realize that I am not taking both vacations this year. Next dental appointment is on March 7. Stuck on adventure in Castle Empire. Saw Plants vs. Zombies on 2bucks sale and purchased it even though I have it on CD. Played that most of yesterday's evening and most likely I will play it this evening as well. Bought three lottery tickets (usually, just one): maybe subconsciously I am hoping to save on dental bills. Hardly doubt it...and that makes me even sadder.

After ordering from Ju Feng (bean curd vegetable soup, bean curd with broccoli, ice tea) for lunch, I got a brand new dish for dinner: minced 5 large tofu cubes (Sunrise brand) fried on two kinds of oil with cubed, thinly sliced sweet pickles, chick peas out of a can, cilantro base, thinly sliced garlic clove, pesto sauce, soba soup base (30-35ml) for 10 minutes on each side *without salt, topped with Parmesano-Mozarella-Romano flavored soy cheese flakes that melted all over it in a very short time. Something in this mix made crust of tofu slices taste like egg whites, for some reason. Overall, the dish tastes really good. Very big on protein for a vegan. I came up with a great idea: build a cafe in a shape of a closet, with floors like shelves: "as I was coming out of a closet" could finally disassociate itself from the skeletons theme = idea for someone with money.

Dental

Had some small fillings done tonight, just came back. At work ate just couscous and split pea soup with breadsticks. Now I have to wait two hours before eating anything. Drank two Liquid Ice at work: the ordered box is disappearing pretty fast. Good dentist: no pain, excellent results. Insurance will cover one more session, then I'll have to spend my possible vacation money to fix the rest of mouth. Too bad I can't afford titanium implants...maybe in next life, if I'll somehow get born here again. But, most likely, if that happens, I won't be able to afford them in next one as well:) It was not as cold as I expected, but it started snowing by 3-4 pm and it just now slowly warms into steady drizzle.

Today was an interesting day: seemingly plain and not so busy, yet there was some major bridging done. After work I prepared a full saucepan of Ronzoni large shell pasta and ate it with soy cheese flakes and pesto sauce. It was very tasty. It was quite hot outside, with strong sunshine, yet the weather stations predict tomorrow will be a cold day.

I purchased Duke Nukem Forever for 5 bucks on Steam (midweek madness sale)...and the game was worth it. I like the multiplayer option, interesting idea to set up your own apartment as you progress in the multiplayer. The game, overall, was rather good for a first-person shooter. Progressed to level 38, I think, in Castle Empire. Decided to improve economy of place before starting any new adventures. Eating soy tofu pups on blueberry bagels, drinking cherry juice. Жизнь удалась...

New monitor works great. Computer is overheating though, because of Steam: I should purchase another cooling unit, but I need to get a new tower for it first. Maybe if I will get another bonus check sometime... Visited parents, ate veggie soup and zucchini-like dish. Bought stuff at Rite Aid, Meat Supreme, new grocery. Got a haircut at Katherine's place. Decided to replay Mafia II since Castle Empire is getting too familiar and slow. I think I still like that game as much as before, which is not a usual thing.

Bought Honei cabbage buns in Chinese supermarket, along with bean curd pieces and five-six instant mushroom soups. Buns were tasty and completely vegan. Ate the whole bag. It was somewhat busy week at work: lots of calls, lots of writing. Gums are healing, teeth are not aching. Next appointment is February 8. In the morning it was icy rain, then regular rain. Weather forecasters predict there will be another rainy day tomorrow. Talked parents out of buying me an apartment: I am comfortable as I am and they don't need them to spend their savings in this economic situation. After wearing suits all day at work for a long time developed a fear of being perceived rich: it would be like a stain on character and place me in a rather doubtful affiliations. It's better to rejoice in what is given by life.

From Dust...to dust

Just came back from another visit to dentist. Yesterday found out From Dust was on sale ($5!) and purchased it on Steam. Well, game is based on singular engine possibility, so after playing for 4 hours, I am not sure I will play it for a while...it gets repetitive. It looked more exciting when advertised. Also, today I found out that there are official mouth rinses made with hydrogen peroxide, which I bought in Rite Aid. Along with that I got Minute Maid lemonade 2L bottle, large canister of Folgers ground coffee (on 1/2 price sale). Eating mostly ready-made Chinese mushroom flavored Ramen noodle-like soups for the third day. Don't feel like cooking.

Tomorrow is going to be a heavy day, I think. I am starting feeling it in my head even tonight. I got bored with Castle Empire a little bit, maybe it's been too long of playing same game, so I downloaded APB Reloaded (free version) and played that for a while. I also played some Tropico 3. Also, played Nation Red for an hour or so. Very intense shooter. Parents brought some seaweed snacks, expensive vegan soy cheese - ate that. Bought large bottles of lemonade and ginger ale, sliced canned potatoes and chick pea cans. Weather was cold, some snow on crosswalks, but otherwise no effect of a yesterday's snowfall.

Yesterday's trip to dentist was initial success. Next appointment is in February. I got tired of Castle Empire and now playing Tropico3 again. Went to Meat Supreme store and bought fried eggplant, a pound, with several NY pretzels and buns. Have a strange feeling that something is not right, but don't know what it is. Maybe it is something that has to do with work. What else could be important? Weather is cold, slept in a sweater tonight, with closed windows. Now heating apartment with stove, and it does not get warmer even though it's been on for an hour. Felt like people around are withering away. Everyone got older all of a sudden. Must be poor economy, financial worries. Forgot to pick up jacket from laundramat. Have to do it tomorrow. Received Popular Science and Popular Mechanics issues: nothing interesting this month. At all.

I have a feeling tomorrow will be a challenging day at work.

I use old monitor that my parents had before buying a new all-in-one computer. My previous Dell monitor worked its 10 year service and just died on me. Since I haven't played any Steam games, only Castle Empire, for the last two months, I was surprised to find out that I can't play most of them due to low resolution of the monitor. It just don't go past 1400...and I had to buy a new monitor. So I purchased it today, it should arrive in a week: Viewsonic. Hopefully, it will come without any frozen pixels, as some write in the reviews. Outside is somewhat cold weather. My teeth are not aching, but I feel the need to take antibiotics...still some swelling on gums. I will continue my dental escapades on Wednesday.
As of now, it appears I can afford the dental work and rental payment together.

Went to a good dentist on Kings Highway, on emergency basis. First time I had full anesthesia: as soon as I counted to 20, I woke up disoriented, for some reason dancing on one place and trying to concentrate my gaze...and then I was told it was successful and over. Got my antibiotics, help from parents with transport and food, finally back home with a bandage in my teeth. The bleeding is almost completely stopped, I feel much better, and pain medications are working great. It was a good day after all. Hopefully, I won't wake up with doubled cheek the next morning. Amen.
P.S. I have a feeling cocksucking lords of ever-fucked characters will be going to shake my other teeth now to get some resources...I don't know if there is a point to get bridges... could be a waste of money... Oh, well, it's that time of history...what can anyone do?

It looks like I am staying home today: my eye is swollen, I am taking antibiotics and pain meds: my teeth got infected and the left part of face is all blown-up. Hopefully, it will clear by the end of long weekend. I will try to stay at home throughout it and I guess I can't visit parents, or they may get some eye infection. Already called my work: hoping they will understand. Saw an MD yesterday after work, took some pills: didn't prevent escalation. Next Wednesday I will see a dentist and (who knows?) maybe my two teeth won't bother me anymore: they'll be removed.

Sort of busy at work. Ate rice and fried potatoes, with ginger ale. For some reason was tired enough to take a nap after work at home. At dinner had hero sandwich with chick peas and sliced pickle. Weather is not cold again. Springy, sort of. Decided to replay Matrix: Path of Neo. Stuck on the last scene. Still working on leveling up in Castle Empire. Dreams are crappy lately. Not the usual excitement. However, noticed that I drink less coffee. Switched to lemonade instead of mango juice for now. Usually it's cranberry/pomegranate juice time - guess, growing older. Maybe global warming. Next Monday is a holiday - great - will play computer games all day. I feel more relaxed this week. Emotions are getting number, that's the reason most likely. Everything is great. No complaints so far. Good life.

Today I have a dentist appointment. Leveled up in Castle Empire and spent 10 more dollars on it. The New Year was usual, met it w/parents at their apartment. I had pasta yesterday, maybe I will cook it again for dinner. It turned out this year that my mother was putting eggs into matzo balls. Each time I would ask her if it has any eggs, making sure, and she would lie. Truth came out accidentally, guess I won't be eating any more matzo balls. I forgave her for lying to me for a year: I should have expected it, she just was more convincing this time. Knowing mom, if I'll find any rat poison in food, I will forgive her as well: I would blame myself for not being more careful.

Had a slight headache most of the day, at least it felt like it. The weather is very cold and windy. Went to pick up package from China at Flatbush postal office - they did not deliver it right. Had little to eat for lunch, just a single portion of rice - felt proud of not overeating, but then was invited to office party in one of the departments and ate a lot of tasty salad, spinach dip, some veggie sushi. Today I found out that Monday after New Year's is a day-off. I have a dental appointment that day. Read my blog: it's very boring. Just like my life. Thought about it: better than too much excitement that leads nowhere good.

Almost passed current level in Castle Empire. Meat Supreme's fried eggplant is clearly of better quality than the eggplant I buy at Met Supermarket, although it is more expensive. Got a haircut. This is the last week before the New Year's. Yesterday I visited Alice, today is a payload day. It's been raining heavily for many hours. Tomorrow it's predicted to be a Windy Day. It will be busy at work as well, I think. Made a pretty tasty mushroom souffle yesterday. Still did not pick up a suit from dry cleaners. Still getting New Year's presents for family members together. Parents are coughing, sneezing, aching. For some reason received a negative bill for natural gas. Checked my records - I did not send any payment, so unless someone has been paying my utility bill, I'll have to pay it back when the mistake is found. Peace on Earth. Piss.

Holiday Weekend

Tomorrow I will visit parents, on Sunday I will see my grandmother, Monday is all to myself. It's a long holiday weekend. I went to NetCost Market on 16th and Gravesend Neck Rd, bought a lot of food on sale, drinking Essentuki 17, eating sandwich w/mushroom salad, playing Castle Empire. The weather was somewhat cold, but not too cold. Same expected over the weekend, without any changes. I bought another lottery ticket, didn't win again. I don't think lottery is for me. I'm not lucky in it.

I overate fried eggplant sandwiches. Busy day at work. Got some presents from coworkers. Tomorrow is last day of work, Saturday, Sunday I see parents, grandmother, and MONDAY is a true holiday: no work, nobody to see, quiet and peaceful, playing computer games.
I should check the oil meter. I gotta change oil in about 100 miles. I don't feel seasonal depression. Maybe it's large amounts of caffeinated drinks and coffee. It was the hottest day on record today, around 60F.

Everything went as usual, except this time grandmother did not wish any Poland Spring water. I started a high level adventure in Castle Empire and realized I don't have army high enough in rank to defeat the boss, so I had to cancel it. However, I played a 2 day adventure in under 10 hours and received a lot of XP points. bored
P.S. accidentally found an excellent toilet paper called Panda. Surprised at quality.

Took one of the suits to cleaners, visited parents, after that went to King's Buffet and ate three plates, as usually. On the way back bought chick peas cans on sale. It's cold outside all day long. Same forecasts for tomorrow. I'm feeling some Christmas spirit...most likely from overeating at Chinese restaurant. It's joyous, yet somewhat detached. Some may perceive sadness in it, but it's acceptance of things as they are. Tomorrow I will visit my grandmother: I have to remember to buy some water for her. I should probably dry clean more suits. I'll think about it tomorrow.

It's 3:30am, I just had two hours of sleep tonight. Castle Empire is on maintenance and not accessible. Tonight after work I am going to an "office holiday party" at El Caribe. Most likely, I'll come back home about 1 am. I ordered avocado sushi and miso soup at work, ate couscous. At home I ate baked potatoes. Bought shopping bags' hooks for car for easier grocery shopping. Received few more packages with holidays' gifts for parents. Tomorrow I will order an eggplant at the party: they have really good eggplant dish. This will most likely be the most positive highlight of tomorrow.

I finished my soup after eating a lot of matzo balls, salad and vegetable soup at parent's apartment. It was still good, but of course second day is not the first day, when it was just prepared. Newspapers write about moon eclipse, but it was not visible where I live. I took a bath w/iodine. Tomorrow morning I should get faster internet. Just finished another short adventure in Castle Empire, almost made it to the next level, built a new building. It was cold today. Tomorrow will be colder, based on the forecast. All the same...

Yesterday was much busier day than today. Actually, most of the week was busier. I keep ordering New Year's presents to family members online. Sometimes it feels like I am subconsciously jeopardizing my possibilities of fixing all teeth. At work I ordered from Ju Fang, a Chinese restaurant with the formerly best tofu and bean curd dishes. I guess they changed the chef: same meals I ordered before taste very different and far from better. Right now I am eating a well-prepared soup with chick peas, miso soup base, some vegetarian soup base, Japanese noodles, with added ginger pieces, vegeta, lots of Peruvian salt, boiled red onions and margarine. Even though the soup tastes awesome (I got 2 portions made), it does have a faint smell of ginger, which is not so great. I rarely cook with ginger anyway. Most likely this will be the last time, because I don't like its smell. Still playing Castle Empire, finished another adventure, but did not level up. Spent another 25 bucks on that game to get some new Christmas Edition content. It's my New Year's present for self. Nothing else is new.

getting faster Internet without spending extra money

Medium level of busyness at work today. After work: espressos, double portion of fried cubed tofu with herbs, salt, vegeta, then a large bun with margarine. Finally couldn't wait with tooth pain and scheduled the appointment for January 2nd, one day after my new, better dental insurance goes into effect. Honestly, can't wait for that time, tired of taking non-prescription pain medication. Purchased Shiquan Dabu Wan from Alice, ran out. Decided to get faster internet - comes with free TV which I am not going to watch, but for extra 10 bucks I am getting 50 Mbps increase in internet speeds. Still cheaper than my current price. Technician will come with new modem, etc. this Sunday 8am to 12pm. It's been raining all day, heavily at times.
