The Dimension of TIME and the MATRIX / WEB of TIME therein - ANARCHY and ART - a story of innocence, power and the WATCHERS.

THIS IS A STORY about before the GREAT WEB OF TIME - a myth that blends the ancient archetypal gods and energies, the "matrix" therein, the "FATES", and one innocent human - Marthaa Damuse.

BACKGROUND TO MYTH FOR A MODERN AGE PART 5.

Some of the names/gods in this myth have varying roles. As with mythological stories, throughout history: Many interlink, some are confusing and interchangeable stories. There is artistic licence in the following story, however, the essence, has always been the same

Long before TIME began, Ouranus the Sky god (and son of CHAOS - who was fathered by CHRONOS - the great "father of time") mated with Gaia, the earth goddess.
The ensuing daughter was called RHEA. RHEA, in turn, had a child called ZEUS, fathered by Cronus.
When Zeus became all powerful over EARTH, his mother, Rhea had a disagreement with him, resulting in a BARGAIN. The bargain was this:- that the EARTH would be the domain of ZEUS, which he would RULE OVER, and that a small ISLAND would be the domain of RHEA.
It was on this island, where RHEA lived and ruled completely, that the MUSES also lived.
Living with the MUSES, were some mortal beings. These mortal beings dwelt in the gardens of Rhea's beautiful and peaceful island, where they learnt from ,and were instructed in, the crafts of all the MUSES.
One such human that lived on the Isand of Rhea, was called MARTHAA (MARTHAA DAMUSE)

AND now my story begins.

In the HALLS of ELYSIUM, the great gods celebrated the wresting of the world from GAIA and RHEA. The Greatest god of all these gods - ZEUS - had finally attained everything he desired, and at such a small cost - only one tiny island did he lose, in this BARGAIN with his Mother, RHEA. This was the Island of the MUSES - RHEA's ISLE.

As the gods celebrated in their GREAT HALL, they congratulated ZEUS for his mastery of the world.

And as they all feasted, ZEUS withdrew, to ponder his greatness.

WAS there nothing more that he could control?

His insatiable desire for power had increased dramatically, now that he had gained domain over the world. WHAT MORE COULD HE DO?

Deep in thought, and IDEA came to him. HE DECIDED TO outdo all the gods before him, once and for all. Zeus was going to prove his greatness throughout eternity and beyond.

The IDEA came to him in a lightning flash. - HE WOULD CREATE the FABRIC of TIME! A Great WEB, that would give him power over TIME, the domain of his ancestor CHRONOS.

A great WEB, that all of the immortal gods and mortal beings would be in awe of. And by this WEB of TIME, ZEUS thought "I CAN CONTROL EVERYTHING IN CREATION ITSELF, and even beyond"

And so ZEUS , in close consultation with the other gods, prepared to create the WEB OF TIME. THIS was to be his masterpiece. This would deliver him eternal power. A power greater than that of even CHRONOS. ZEUS was finally going to outdo his father, his mother, his children and all of the GODS.

AND so, with his mind fixed on GLORY, and with the help of the other gods, the WEB of TIME was CREATED.

Now, while this was all going on, in the HALLS OF ELYSIUM, unbeknown to ZEUS, the FATES WATCHED ON.

And Clotho, the first FATE, spun her thread of cotton onto her SPINDLE.

Meanwhil, on RHEA's small island, the MUSES sang, danced, told stories, and painted. They sculptured, carved, harmonised and beat their beautiful drums, that they had taught the humans ( mortals of the island) to make. The harmony and love that was on the isand grew and grew. The humans that lived on the island all became well versed in the ARTS. MARTHAA DAMUSE, was one of the mortals, that became well versed in these harmonious arts.

And the FATES WATCHED ON.

"I HAVE CREATED THE GREATEST OF ALL CREATIONS" boomed the great god ZEUS. BE in fear and awe, my fellow gods. THIS WEB OF TIME defines my GREATNESS.

THE other gods, in the Elysium Hall admired him, feared him, congratulated him, and asked, in curiousity, "but how will it work? What IS this WEB of TIME?"

Zeus replied - "MY WEB of TIME - it is MY controlling and all encompassing POWER. IT is the power to control everything. EVERYTHING!!!"

The other gods were all speechless. They could hardly wait to see this WEB of TIME work.

And the FATES WATCHED ON.....

Now,while ZEUS and his fellow gods celebrated, Hermes had been taking some time out, to fly about the world, in discovery of new things. The world was a constant source of inspiration to his MIND, and his curiousity was insatiable. He flew to the fartherest corners of the WORLD. With wings outspread, Hermes began to hear music on the WIND. Flying towards its source, he hovered over the ISLE of RHEA. .

Little did Hermes realise that the FATES had led him there - to the Island of the Muses.

And Lachesis measured the thread with her ROD.

As HERMES flew above the Island, he spied down below, a most intriguing mortal. She was dancing and singing in a RAINBOW, as the other mortals and the MUSES drummed and chanted, in perfect HARMONY.

HERMES became instantly enchanted by the mortal's ARTISTRY, and flew down, taking her into his ARMS, and carrying her away, before any of the Muses could stop him. He flew high into the SKY, with the human - Marthaa Damuse - and she clung to him, singing her beautiful songs.

And the FATES WATCHED ON.....

Carrying Marthaa back to the HALLS of ELYSIUM, Hermes landed, in front of ZEUS, saying - "behold this mortal - such a thing of interest to me - I wish to keep her here, to find out what makes her sing and dance so." ZEUS replied, "of course - this mortal is nothing. Do with her, what you wish"

..... and then THE GREAT IDEA CAME!

"WAIT! demanded ZEUS "HERMES, before you take her to your home, let us all have her here, in the HALLS of ELYSIUM, where I can show our fellow gods, how my WEB of TIME works."

Hermes agreed, knowing that Zeus was the all powerful, and submitted the mortal, Marthaa to ZEUS's scrutiny.

"COME here! Stand before me, Marthaa Damuse." commanded the great god. "You will witness first hand, as a mortal, before my fellow gods, the power that is MY creation - the WEB of TIME!!!"

Marthaa stepped forward, with a song in her heart, carrying the beautiful visions and memories of her Island Home. She had no fear.

The other gods, including Hermes, all gathered around to see.

ZEUS took his WEB of TIME, newly created and not yet seen fully by any of the other gods.

He held it out his huge arms, and then, with all his might UNFURLED it into the space before them. It spread quickly across the entire Halls of ELYSIUM.

As it spread out, wrapping about the HALLS, it quickly extended all about the entire WORLD.

It was extensive. Its FABRIC permeated all of existence.

IT was the final proof the ZEUS was the god of all gods.

AND THE FATES WATCHED ON.

The WEB OF TIME was so well built, that in its mathematical precision, unfoldeding before them all, the gods erupted into applause.

"Marthaa Damuse, mortal being" boomed Zeus "experience power that has never been before. GO into my WEB of TIME, and demonstrate my ultimate POWER, for I AM ZEUS"

Marthaa stepped forward, and into the RIGID WEB of TIME. She began to touch the powerful strands, as they encompassed her.

And as she touched the strands of time, she SANG. And then she began to dance. And she danced and sang her way further into the WEB'S structure. Marthaa touched the strands with her art, and her HARMONIES, born of the MUSES teachings. She touched, with her heart song, the FABRIC of TIME, that surrounded her.

And as she sang and danced, with her heart as her drum, her artistry began to dramatically change the GREAT WEB OF TIME. It began to unravel. It began to CHANGE. It began to be NOT WHAT ZEUS had made it

AND the FATES WATCHED ON

And Atropos CUT THE THREAD.

Further and further through the WEB, Marthaa Damuse danced and sang her artistry. More and more, the WEB OF TIME changed. It was becoming less and less how ZEUS had envisioned it would be. ZEUS howelled in horror, as he saw his greatest achievement turn to his greatest folly. Suddenly, Zeus's power WEB was gone, changed, out of his control. The other gods laughed at his downfall. Mostly, they laughed in joy, with MARTHAA DAMUSE.

Marthaa Damuse kept dancing and singing. With her creative HARMONIES the WEB of TIME seemed to respond, and change, and become something entirely different to what ZEUS desired. And the WEB of TIME became not what he thought it would be.

He realised that he did NOT have total control any more. He saw that his control had DIMINISHED, almost entirely. Suddenly everyone could see ZEUS clearly, and he seemed rather pathetic, old and weak. Those who had followed him, all saw him in a new light. The light that had been shone by the tiny spark of creation that was Marthaa Damuse

And Marthaa danced on, into the infinity of TIME and then beyond, to where true love welcomed her home. The pathetic Gods could no longer see her.

And, as for the gods - their world had changed forever more, their power taken from them as a lesson to those who would assume to wrest too much power from the CREATOR and the CREATOR's beautiful blue planet - the EARTH.

The CREATOR LAUGHED....

the beginning......

when the all powerful entities of earthly archtypal "gods" surpass themselves in their belief of grandeur,mastery and self absorbtion, at the expense of the EARTH and innocent beings , there has always been an overwatching failsafe. THE FATES:- THE over reaching, all encompassing CREATOR designed these failsafes to deal with the abuses by the "gods" upon the CREATOR, and the beautiful BLUE PLANET - EARTH.

The innocent one's who follow the creator's LAWS - (when the gods dared to surpass themselves, beyond what was in line with the CREATION STORY), shine a light on the abusers, and the watchers take action. This is a CREATION LAW PRINCIPAL.... harmony, arithmetic, geometry......

** the corps(e) names are many regarding collusion to harm the earth/oppression of the innocent majority/bullying. The number FOUR is symbolic. 4 can mean both growth and oppression. The idea of the above poem is to remind us, that with divine action based on peace, inner transformation and awareness (& elevated mass consciousness), the binding by colluding powerful hidden people and corporate machiavellian activities, can be turned about.

The Movement of occupy wall street is a collective consciousness anarchistic movement, that has sprung up from a collective groundswell. Many dedicated workers are trying to keep the movement in PEACE, SELF RESPONSIBILITY and Self Empowerment. It is a movement of Anarchy, and if anarchy is conducted with love and peace at it's helm, then the voyage ends more quickly and more successfully for future outcomes. Justice is at the heart of this movement. Justice for fairness and openness. Justice (economic and social)for the majority of Humans that occupy the WORLD.

The collective consciousness of the world has had enough - millions of "last straws" are being laid out as I speak. This Occupy Movement is the tip of the iceberg. It is a mainstream movement. All types of people make up the world. This is the beauty and the terror of the HUMAN WORLD.

Human Oppressions stem from the opportunistic nature that is the human form. The natural ecosystems, beautiful Wildlife, innocent souls - these things are all INTERCONNECTED.

OUR heartbeats are the drums that play the tune. The tune is changing.

I believe that is is best to POINT out the transgressions, let the WATCHERS do their work, and hand all of it over to GOD, then just get on with actively healing yourself and taking responsibility for your own actions and helping others who need help, due to their situation and innocence. You may think otherwise. If you are not hurting me, then I do not have a problem with it.

Human Nature, when faced with destruction, comes out fighting, flees or freezes (and submits and dissembles). These are deeply primitive human urges for survival.

These urges can either serve us, or destroy us.

There are many forms of destruction, ranging from individual self destruction (self harm) to mass destruction (extinction).

Healing is also a VASTE DOMAIN of HUMAN NATURE, as is empathy and compassion.

There are many forms of healing, ranging from individual healing and self responsibility to MASS HEALING (helping others, taking responsibility for others).

Humankind has collectively played out many form of destructive behaviours. When the destructive behaviours become complex, and perpetual, a new paradigm emerges - that of SPIRIT and Mass Consciousness ELEVATION.

Small things that we, as individuals, do in our lives, become very powerful, when collectively expressed.

The mainstream approach of the powerful elite towards the mindless, unconscious (albeit caring) masses have been somatising, repressing by drugging and fostered by addictions.

The building of industrial / technological cities, supression of knowledge within wisdom frameworks, and uneven distribution of wealth have been driving a machine type existence for many humans of the world. Whilst machines, technology, industry, growth and ungodly knowledge give us many advantages in life, it is usually at the expense of other less fortunate beings.

This current (2011) playing out of events has its roots in thousands of years of human archetypal patterning. Not all human populations have evolved the same way. There is, however a concentration and pattern that has emerged. Certain historical families, cults, certain processes and systems, certain earthly "LORDS" have gained opportunistic, inherited power that has become highly abusive, cruel and ungodly.

This is the ugly side of humanity, becoming clear for all to see.

WE LIVE IN A DICHOTOMOUS CONDITION, in this earthly plane. A truth to one, is perceived as a non truth to another. What elevates us is compassion and love, tolerance and WISDOM.

Self responsibility is the way forward, especially if it is done in the light that God always has shining for us, in our hearts. There are, however, some very dark, hidden agendas afoot. When the WATCHERS - Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael, Michael - take action, instead of merely WATCHING, the butterfly takes wing, and great changes take place.

Peaceful koala asleep in your tree

and now, for some philosophy.........................

The idea that God is a just yet awesomely terrifying entity is entwined in many religions and
spiritual beliefs.
God's creation is all about us. We were given the keys to the car, so to speak, when we (humanity) grew to the stage of KNOWLEDGE of ourselves, and awareness of others in more than just our primative cognitive abilities.
We grew into this knowledge for reasons only "known to god". I will not presume to understand
the planning and reasoning behind this. If, indeed, there IS any!
It is enough to say that Universal and Cosmic laws may hold the key to some understanding of why humans experience their sentience and self awareness, their knowledge and intentionality.
If you are an atheist or an agnostic, bear with me.

I have spent much of my life living in existential lifestyle and thinking. For many years, I felt that all there was was what was HERE, in the NOW. History evolution lead us to this point, and our actions and thoughts would take us beyond this point. To me, for many years, there was no over-riding "god force/entity", there was just EXISTENCE - albeit on many levels.

You can either believe in god, or not believe. Other than that, you may be undecided.
Some of you may even fit into another category of belief system that does not fit into these three.
Hats off to all of you. WHY?
Because it is HOW you live, that determines your life. Whether you believe in god or not,
or are undecided - WHATEVER - it is HOW you live your life that determines your overall reality. And.....
HOW YOU LIVE often determines (directly/indirectly) the reality for others on this planet.
(I include all living and non living things on the planet here, as it has become known,
by scientific lessons, that everything on this beautiful blue planet is inter-related
to some degree.)
And now, back to God.

Stories and myths about God and gods/goddesses- great spirits abound. Some are ancient, some were born just moments ago, as I write this. God, and man's concepts of God are an ever evolving process.
The older, more deeply primitive and magical gods as well as the more modern gods and GOD hold power. Power in our collective human psyches, in a way that we still cannot accurately describe.
Poems, songs - these things, and art in general, have a greater ability to explain these things, than intricate scientific and metaphysical writings.
God, in its awesome revelation, is evolving as I speak.
God's law stands over us - above, below, beside and through us all. Beneath that law of god stands natural law.
Natural law is above , below and through us, and we, as humans, have transgressed both God's law, and natural law.

We break, bend and rewrite God's LAW everyday we knowingly (in knowledge) kill, steal, cheat, lie, transgress over those who are unable to defend themselves.. The list is endless. Humans have eveloved (oops -sorry - EVOLVED) new ways of transgressing God and natural laws, and we now do it daily.
Spirit, from God, or the divine entity that is creation and the creator process, has come to
earth and known itself, through human sentience, self awareness, knowledge and wisdom.

Awareness of God, the spirit, the "son" /"daughter"of god that is in all of us, is a largely undefineable, non scientifically verifiable "thing".
Many different peoples and individuals, have their own unique awareness.
Their perceptions, their cultural background, their desires, needs, their mental/emotional/physical states -these things create "filters" that help us as individuals and groups (clans, cults, communities etc) recognise certain moral and human / animal instinct survival decisions.

I will now explain something rather unusual in my life, that I have not really come across
in many others' lives. You may say that it is delusional, mis - informed, ego-based, naive, new age
- whatever. That is your perceptive stance, and you are well entitled to your stance.

Your thinking, your belief system - if it isn't hurting me, then, I have no quarrel with it.

I see Angels. I see Spirits. I see beyond "time" and I know my place in the spirit of things.
I align myself with God, and can see some very disturbing and saddening events in this world today, which will eventually lead those who travel with the "destructor" to a place that I will not go, and chose NOT to go to.
Many - many, many times in my life, I have become aquainted with what many may call "dark and tormented" souls.
People who perpetually kill, steal, lie, torture. Some practice these actions - or, for the lack of a
better word " dark arts" - knowingly.
Others have come from such a tormented background themselves, that they are clinically psychotic, in such a way, that they habitually see nothing wrong with the actions that they continually take. Some of us, seeing the wrong that we have done, act out and intentionally accept our remorse, find LOVE, and come back to divine ways - albeit it still in our ridiculously wretched human way...
Some of these people are in the borderline area - close to the "light" of God and LOVE, but too immersed in their moment to be courageous enough to travel - in an instant- into God's arms and, what the more religious of us, may call salvation.
How audacious of me to re-write my own version of what is good, what is bad.... how dare I judge?
I try NOT to judge - and when I do, I find that it is a quick spoken word or thought that I quickly try to be aware of, and then reflect upon. There are differing types of "judgements". God's Judgement is the greatest that I know of. I have seen it in action. God's judgement travels through the world quickly, and thoroughly.
God's judgement surpasses man's little courts and legal procedure by eons, by universes, by more than the greatest minds alive and dead, combined, can conceive. My ego sometimes wants a fight - to transgress across others paths and stop them.
That is my ego - battling for a place in existence - MY EXISTENCE. However, the blue planet,
that we all call home, is now reaching a most abysmal scenario -soon, the population figures
will no longer be rising. They will beign to fall. They may fall sharply. They may dwindle to nil. When the global population begins to fall, then we will know that we are, collectively, on the way out.
Heaven help us then.

These times, upon us now, are largely ignored by our leaders, the egos, the evil folk,
who are hell bent on delivering themselves to hellish ways.
Those who see the "light" - they ultimately are ok. Time, in this little planet of ours,
is short - very short - in the cosmic grandeur that is existence.
You are smaller than you think. You are, indeed, NOT WHAT YOU THINK.
After your life, before your life, and during your life - are other things - all not what you think they are.
We paint the scenarios of a beautiful heaven, a ghastly fiery hell, with our human emotions,
thoughts and experiences.

Thinking and Storytelling go hand in hand, and I have just been reading Can do Better's posting and subsequent comments for the article "The Six Cluster of Denial - Death by Storytelling" (posted August 18th 2010 by Tim).

The article and responses give wonderful insights into humanitys' historical cognitative "smoke and mirrors" mythologies. These articles are worth reading. You do not necessarily have to agree with them, but give your brain a walk in the unfamiliar path of human patterned historical thought, and associated "norms", without all your pre-conceived human "conditionings".

The articles are well worth the read, and offer substantial food for thought, in a world of story telling gone mad...... tread lightly my friends.

The National Parks and Wildlife service has been told that the Rufous Bettongs live in this area, and yet, the bioenergy people have come in and decimated the habitat. This "bioenergy" is one of the biggest myths in our current age. Better to use less, buy less, destroy less, and tread lightly. MW.

ASAD, Syrma - Al Ghafar and the transiting Sun in early Scorpio, October 25th 2009

The Sun is about to transit the Fixed Star Syrma,(at approx. 4 degrees Scorpio). It is currently reaching the approaching conjunction as I write this. This fixed star is in the constellation Virgo, and also holds place in the greater Ancient Astrological presence (Arabian/Persian astrology)- ASAD, the great LION, who is a most wonderful guardian of the ancient heavens and life on earth.

On the 28th October, 2009, the Sun will transiting 4-5 degrees Scorpio, and the Moon will pass over the last degrees of Aquarius and first degrees of Pisces. This is a great time to prepare for the later CONJUNCTION of JUPITER and NEPTUNE (23-26 degrees Aquarius) over the 2009 Christmas period.
The later degrees of Aquarius, in the Zodiac have symbols connected with butterflies, violets and recharging of the spirit.

The fixed star, Khambalia - lambda in Virgo (at approx 6 degrees Scorpio*), is also soon on the "visit" list by the Sun (end of Oct. 2009), as it transits through the celestial sphere. This is a great time for penetration of secrets. When this conjunction of Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron (approx 23-26 degrees Aquarius) occurs at the end of December, Mars at 19 degrees LEO Dec 28th 2009) will be opposite these three heavenly bodies. And whilst Ursa Major is far from Mars by declination, there will be correspondence between the two, via the fixed stars - Tania Borealis and Merak.

Mars will also have connections, late December with Ras Elasid Australis (Algenubi or Epsilon - LEO). Some cruelty, on the part of Authority and those of heartless disposition may be afoot.

And a final note - the world IS a beautiful place when LOVE is in our hearts, and whilst the hard-arsed devils of humanity's archtypal "monsters" appear to be on the loose, and somewhat hell bent on planetary destruction, the word of LOVE, when pressed to the wind will gather great force over the coming months. And Mass Consciousness is on the move in a way that it has not been for tens of thousands of years.

Giri and the 22 Arrows of Truth - Myths for a Modern Age - Part 3

Once upon a time, high in the mountains beyond the mists of time there lived a hidden community of gifted beings.
One such gifted being was Giri.
Giri was an old monkey, blessed with magical insights, grey haired and of kind disposition.

Some years before this story is written,Giri's friends held a most excellent party.The Party was to celebrate Giri's Birthday. One of the guests who came to the party was a Magician. The Magician was now retired, but had once ruled the Fates of Time. Also attending were Giri's friends the Rat, (Giri's dearest friend), as well as all the other beings who lived up high in the misty mountains near Giri's home, including the Tiger, the OX and Dog.

The birthday party was a huge success,and Giri received some beautiful gifts. The Ox gave him a wonderful box of integrity chocolate, wrapped up in steadfastness and honour.The Dog gave him loyalty, and a most beautiful present it was! The Rat gave Giri a little pair of spectacles so that he may see into the darkest places, as he worked. And finally, when it was time for all the guests to leave, the ancient Magician handed Giri a square purple box, wrapped with a large yellow ribbon.
"This is for you, Giri", said the Magician. "I have kept this little present for you for many years, and now that you have become older, and your grey years are upon you, it is time that you received a little toy, to help you play, and re-awaken some of your childhood adventures again."

Giri expressed his deepest thanks to the Magician. Carefully he untied the long yellow ribbon, and opened up the purple box. There, inside, was a little metal wind up Rabbit. The Magician smiled saying, "The wonder of the Metal Rabbit toy is this, Giri. Before you go to sleep at night, wind up the tiny key at its back, then place it on the stand at your bedside. While you sleep, it will help to impart your dreams with some wonderful and intriguing adventures."

Giri thanked the Magician for the beautiful gift, and waving goodbye to all his friends, he settled in for the night, cosy and warm, by the fireplace.

Soon, as the day had been busy, sleep seemed to be the order of the evening. And while the owls and possums outside began to stir for the night, Giri readied himself for bed. Climbing under the warm covers, he spied the little Metal Rabbit, sitting by his bedside.
Giri reached out to the Metal Rabbit present and taking it up gently,he wound the tiny key at its back. The shining little Metal Rabbit began to hop around his bedside table with a quiet whir and slowly Giri began to close his eyes.
As he drifted into sleep he could feel himself being lured into a very different kind of dream state. Once in a deep hibernation the dream proceeded to take its hold………………..

Dark energy waited close by.

Giri, wings outstretched, lifted into the air. Flying high above the mountains he observed the goings on in a large clearing beside a forest.
Shovels worked and gardens were being tended. A Tiger walked amongst the thinning trees confidently watching for on coming enemies to devour. A White Rabbit burrowed around impatiently, whilst a Sage Rat enjoyed home making. Looking over through the bushes, Giri called to his friend the Sage Rat, who was busily sweeping out the kitchen. “Oh beautiful Rat, are you having a nice day?”

“Yes little Monkey, but my ears have been hurting me. I fear that things are not as they appear.”

The Tiger had vanished into the deep forest by now, and his glowing eyes were hidden from all except for the Rat, who could always see easily in the dark.

Quietly the White Rabbit loped up to the friends.
The White Rabbit had recently escaped from a mad hatter’s tea party full of screaming queens and smiling red haired cats. He was not feeling himself, and was trying to find peace in the garden that he was making. The White Rabbit offered tea, smiling in a benign manner. Tea went well and Giri left, a little unsettled, to go back to his home. “Strange dream” thought Giri.

As he departed the garden,night fell. The Tiger began to wail. The Tiger’s wails woke the little Rat, who had been resting and who began to despair that all was not really well.
Roaring and screaming, the Tiger’s glowing eyes became destruction.The Rat fled into the nearby forest as the Tiger’s claws lashed at her, snarling in his pain.Fleeing into the night,she cried “ Giri, Giri! Please use your magic! Help me!”

Suddenly, the Rat was far from the nightmare garden, and was sobbing under a tree as Giri ran to her side. “You poor dear, the night is full of fragmented fear and despair, you will be safe here.” The evening passed quietly at Giri’s home. The little Sage Rat recuperated well from her ordeal. As the days progressed, she became less nervous, finally venturing out to find her way in the world once more, knowing she would always be welcome to rest at her friend, Giri’s, place.

The dream was starting to disturb the Monkey’s sleep by now, and suddenly, he woke up with a fright. This was no dream!

There was the Rat. Beside the fire, still slightly sobbing in her sleep, after her run through the deep forest from the Tiger and Rabbit’s home that very evening……………………...Giri gradually realised that the Rat must not return to that beautiful wild garden where the White Rabbit and Tiger lived.

“Dear Rat, put this all behind you. For your health and sanity, prepare to leave and seek you fortune in the greater world. There is much love and joy out there for you”.

Later that day, the White Rabbit sought to ask Giri’s advice as a professional magician. He quietly came upon Giri in the market place, “Oh Monkey…have you seen my friend the Tiger, or……...perhaps….. The Rat??”

“ Rabbit, you are very clever within yourself. You must know where the Tiger and the Rat are. My time is precious and cannot be taken except for the good of the whole. Be careful what you ask for, Rabbit”
“Well, the Tiger says the Rat has put him under a spell, and I am not sure of how suitable the Rat is to be near the Tiger!” exclaimed the White Rabbit, sniffing tearfully, “I am so worried about them..... um.. both”

Giri patiently tried to help, quietly hoping for the White Rabbit to depart. Then,as soon as the White Rabbit was gone, he frantically searched for the Metal Dream Rabbit, wondering if a dream might provide answers that he was looking for. Giri pondered “Now where have you hopped to?” (and why was the White Rabbit beginning to look like the Metal Rabbit?)

It was all seeming a little like a bad dream again. Giri decided that he could understand more, by asking his Magician Guide. Calling into the high mountain peaks, Giri cried “Please wise friend, help me to unravel the intrigue of this nightmare. I suspect that the Metal Rabbit is controlling my dream. He is trivialising everyone for his own ends”

Suddenly, there was the retired Magician, standing beside Giri.
The Magician Guide said “That Metal Rabbit is asking too much of your good nature, and energy to take care of problems that he himself has caused. Getting rid of the Rat seems to be the undertone of this dream, Giri. You have helped get rid of the Rat, because she has continued in search of a better life. But that is only because you, Giri, sensed that the Rat had much more waiting for it,despite her great love for the Tiger."
(Giri had some time ago, suggested that his dear friend the Rat might be better off away from the little garden and homely life that she had tended for herself and the unhappy tiger.)

Meanwhile, the Rabbit is pestering you Giri, and feigns liking the Rat.
"But Giri, wake up!!!"
"Ask the Rabbit - Rabbit you seem to dislike the Rat, yet you seem to have much control of the unhappy tiger?- Do you notice the rabbit starts to back off, and is no longer friendly to you Giri?”

Giri wondered about this. His kindly magical powers had been enlisted. But used for selfish means? Giri had only ever wanted to help,but now it was looking like a power control trip on the part of that seemingly friendly Metal Rabbit.

Time progressed, the dream continued….. Giri began to fight for sanity as the dream changed again and again.
The selfish Metal Rabbit and the unbalanced Tiger, together with other mischievous animals of the dream state. They all began to overwhelm him with more confusing stories and ever increasing demands.

The retired Magician, by this time, had enough of the dreaming.
He announced “The dream state has been suspended, and all dreaming is halted until the Metal Rabbit stops trying to control the dream. It is disturbing the Spirit World!“

The Magician then gave the Rat 22 arrows of truth in a guilded case.
"Here Rat, shoot these 22 arrows using only love as the aim. The Rat shot off all 22 arrows, with the blessings from all Great Angels of the spirit World, and as each one fell, intrigue dropped from the Monkeys dream. Finally, Giri was able to surface into the real dawn.

Finally waking, Giri looked over to the Metal Rabbit, now back in its little purple box. The tiny wind up key was no longer there, at its back. The little present that had held the promise of many adventures was now just a metal figure of a rabbit, still and shining, but just an ornament.
Feeling sad that it had needed to control so much, Giri went out into his garden. In the morning light,he counted his blessings, then, continued whittling away at the long slender arrows . “21, 22. There, Rat! Now, we’ve just begun!"

Madison Waters 1.5.01

This is the updated second edition(18.10.2009) of this story.The first was written back in 2001, as a much shorter version, and only published in a small magazine (4,000 circulation in SE QLD).

The characters are based on real persons, but given a fictional/mythological context. The Monkey, Giri, still lives in the high mountains, surrounded by wise and loving friends. The Rat did indeed leave to see the world, and is happy in her own beautiful garden now, with a loving husband. The Ox and the Dog continue spreading their gifts of loyalty, integrity, steadfastness and honour. The unhappy Tiger died a sudden death, outside his home, (where he lived, under strict control by the Rabbit.)
The last time I saw the rabbit, he appeared to have become somewhat humbled, as the consequences of his life came upon him and his machiavellian ways.

The Tiger still visits me in spirit, and I always remember his deep love for the Rat, and how he wished to escape the Rabbit and spend his life with the Rat. It was, however,not meant to be. The Ox told me of his death, an hour after the tragedy and I had to break the news to the dear Rat, who was at the time, travelling the world.
The Rat and myself have a friendship that will last beyond time and space. The events have taught me, that no matter how devious the "political" entities, the "developer" consortiums and individual power players in the world are, time will always catch up with them, and their deeds are often watched on by "powers" greater than you and I can ever conceive.

The Magician is still retired, and enjoying a peaceful life. And the arrows of truth have all been released.

In the scheme of things, action (Environmental Action and Activism) to change the world can come in three forms:-

* Identifying the critical issue, passively supporting change for the better in your heart, but recognising that beyond that, you can do little else, except heal your own inbalances and heart.

* Identifying the critical issues, actively supporting the change for the better and recognising that balance, focus and the "heart" and "energy" behind those actions are to be considered as foundations to those actions.

* Identifying the critical issue, understanding the passive and the active response, then going beyond. Going to and working with, the underlying issue that has caused the initial problem is in this category. Going to the spirit of things, addressing them in a way that can help cause a massive shift in mass consciousness awareneness, thus facilitating change without really becoming involved in the individual issue.

Phantom Koala and the Goanna

"Dearest PK" asked Goanna wise
"why don't the Trees now reach to the Skies-
why is the Rain so late to fall?
I know many things but with these, I stall."

PK slowly shifted to see
who questioned him so from beneath his tree
"Why Goanna, you smarty, didn't you know
The government let them clear the trees, so....
The rain doesn't come, the wind blows hard
and everyone's mowing down their back yard
They've channelled the water away from the streams
and ruined the chance of our childrens' dreams."

This disturbed the Goanna who said, "But PK, surely not everyone acts in this way?"
Well, PK just laughed and pulled at some leaves
"It's what's in ones heart - that's what to believe
Does it make sense to kill? does it make sense to steal?
Does it make sense to eat much much more than your meal?"
"Well, that is what they do - the clearers of land, they kill all the trees and they make out they're grand. Then they take all the water and pump it away
and they tell us that industries show us the way.
They hop on their jet stream and swan round the world
praising themselves with their grand flags unfurled
saying 'We have the answer - we are the best'
(though to you and me both - we know they're the pest)."
Goanna thought deeply on PK's last words and dreamily saw that it was quite absurd
"So why do they panic and call each day drought, why do the leaders still hold so much clout?"
"Oh Goanna! Dear friend, you wise brave old soul
because they can't see from their justified hole. They've dug down so deeply, their egos as spades - that the only thing left between them and the hades-

is redemption and love. We must give them a hand, to clamber back up and to save our sweet land"

Astrological Predictions, Ego and the Winds of Change

The practice of fortune telling for money is a dubious process. Divination has become a methodology employed by many people to create scenarios that more than often, seek to soothe either the soothsayer's ego or the seeker's unfullfilled desires. Divination by sharmans and oracles is a centuries old practice in many cultures.

And today, there is a new breed of "prophets" and diviners creating diverse stories and predictions across the globe. Many of them have short and limited experiences. Some are authentic, many (most?) are not.

Observations, marking of the seasons by the fixed stars , and the correlation thereof with human activity, mundane or personal, can be an extremely useful tool to find timing for events, opportunities and potential developments. The insights offered by the astrologers of past eras hold a wealth of mythological stories that still hold relevance today.

Use of magic with these two above procedures of observation and correlation can create a somewhat precarious reality, that may carry with it a substantial consequence from the "fates" or "judgement from God". The use of Magic can also be a truly divine process, when used in an innocent, selfless and free from ego context.

It is best to reflect on these matters when embarking on the somewhat dubious but often modern day popular human activity of asking for a practicing occultist to intercede on the part of another, using magical spells or divinations, and creating an outcome that is ego driven or fear driven. The winds of change can come from many directions and carry upon them all types of unpredictable outcomes.

Even love driven, or what is supposedly "love driven" gain from occult practices can be a highly dubious affair.

The path that is taken by the authentic student of occult ways is necessarily riddled with tasty morsels offered straight from the "devil's" smorgasboard of "dainties". Oh, how sweet may they seem. How innocent, tantalising the choices may seem. Take care lest your ego trick you!

The student of God and pure LOVE, however, does not take these choices lightly. Mostly, they steer away from the dubious practices of foretelling the future or trying to change someone's "destiny".
The choices between the "devil" and God can be easily recognised for what they are. Best they be either ignored or "marked" for exactly what they are - temptations, little pavers to "hell", that step at a time, that will take the seeker steadily away from God and toward an ever harder to extricate oneself from hell on earth sensation. Staying with God and in the light is the ONLY CHOICE.

And so, if you feel compelled to choose? Choose wisely when seeking out an occultist or magician. The accrued magical power of occult practices thousands of years old, hold with them, the archetypal old "gods". These "gods" can be unforgiving, fearsome, mocking and ruthless.

In an earthly sense, many of these practices may be seen to hold sway..... for a while. Many seem to create a path forward for the ego encrusted "seeker". The extrication from the contract made, with regard to employing the ancient powers may not be so easy. And, after this life, there may be "fate" consequences, that are still not conceived, but relentlessly played out, in the world of spirit, beyond time and "the matrix". To be able to divine is a gift. It is a gift to be used for humanity, to help humanity, either personally or collectively. If you have this gift, use it wisely.

For myself, a general rule of thumb has been, in astrological practice, to remind the "client" that it is a story - for fun, enjoyment and personal well being. On a mundane level, I still find that astrology is best used as a creative story to help others understand patterns and processes that are reflected throughout the earth, the heavens and all the spaces in between.

There are some absolutely beautiful, authentic astrological and divination websites across the internet. They are created by caring souls who share their insights with others, give knowledge to our collective humanity's consciousness, and help awaken our own spirit to its worth. When you find a website that has the qualities of honesty, innocence and true good, YOU WILL KNOW!

The NASA Mission to the moon and the destructive measures of humanity now are linked together in a way that everyone cannot deny any more. Above is the What Watch generated Astrological Chart generated for the time of the impact. 12.30pm GMT 9th October 2009.

I am writing this, because I am wondering if anyone else, who is of an astrological mind felt the massive "shift" in what I described as a shift in mass consciousness at the time. Possibly it was the emotions of all the people who viewed the event. I wasn't aware of when this event would actually take place, but suddenly I was up and onto the computer, looking at the Astrology, because these was an overwhelming sense of change in the way I felt mass consciousness, and how it perceived itself.

anyway, I shall let you do more research yourself, I just wanted to mark this time as rather important for some reason.
I suspect that the many people, who have created acts of wanton and ego riddled destruction on the beautiful wildlife, plant life, ecosystems and natural heritage of our blue planet shall find that their consequences are catching up to them.
This act of "bombing" the moon (albeit in the name of science) has little wisdom, and a fair bit of foolishness. There will be people who admire, who are in awe, who are trapped in their justifications of the "plastic" world, that will just stay in denial and say how grand it all is. Forgive them, and quickly move on. Some of them are innocent. This is no longer a time to have a fight. That time has past. It is very much a time to feel remorse, then move on in love, both toward yourself, and others.
Meanwhile, the earth will keep turning, and our hearts will keep beating, but I suspect that mass consciousness will never be the same again, and like pandoras box - everything is open now, and we can't go back.
Be courageous in these times, look forward only, never back, and allow the spark of God's light and love to enter your hearts to carry you forwards.
These are times of extreme fortune, and as we know - fortune, the domain of Zeus, can be either horrific, or fantastically good, but always a double edge sword.

I for one, would like to say "sorry" to the Moon for the abuse that humanity is conducting on it. For our destructive Land and Water custodianship practices that we collectively exhibit- toward this dear protective and nurturing satellite of the Earth -my deepest apologies.
This reflects our collective stewardship of the Earth itself . The technology that we have from NASA that has helped the world is undeniable. I am not pointing blame at this "corporational institute". What I am saying here is our mass consciousness can now, no longer deny the consequences of our destructive behaviour towards life on EARTH.
And like the Luck of Jupiter, that is probably a good thing.

Industry and corporate greed has a face, so carefully hidden, that it is a sick secret, chronically denied by wealthy "corporate and political" gamesmanship. Have compassion here for those less fortunate - those people who are dragging us into extinction - those people who, at the expense of biodiverse health, spend their life weaving more and more denial into their complex lifestyles as their ego slowly eats up their spiritual credibility and worth.
Individual champions who work , often without realising it, to alert us to these issues and who have lived simple spiritually worthy lives are few and far between. ( I am not counting myself amongst these, so don't get too worked up - I am constantly working on my inner healing.) However, mostly, we follow blindly, falling prey to that human condition so well known to many Australians -
"she'll be right, mate".
Well, "SHE" is NOT right. "SHE" is very sick. The parallel of the collective earth to the individual
human health condition is astounding.
* We fill our lungs with toxic fumes just as we fill the earth "breath" with the same.

* We clothe ourselves with functionless adornments just as we adorn our society and lifestyles with functionless "stuff".

* Our inner organic systems of liver, heart, arteries and colons areas are as choked as our wetlands, habitats, waterways, and estuarine systems.

* Our skins and bones brittle, diseased and ill as are our soils, infrastructures and urban expansions.

* Our minds have become narrow, hollow and depressed just as our biodiversity has become thinned, weakened and sad.

* Our irrational minds, bent on extremities of lust, hate, greed, glory and imbalance are as extreme as the weather patterns that we greet each day. All the while our precious blue earth turns in space.
To echo the words of John Keel, "the universe does not exist as we think it exists, and we
don't exist as we think we exist"
Much of my life I have been gifted with visions. I have travelled beyond time, through the eons and watched many events and process, both past , present and future. I have been beckoned by both the "devil's" gifts of abundance and "God's" gifts of abundance,and know that love is the pathway, always through time, no matter how painful it may seem at the time, love is the only healing measure that works. Abundance - it comes from within and shines out.

Compassion comes from God and works through us. It is one of God's greatest gifts to us, if only we can unwrap this precious gift and share it with ALL. Remorse, self acceptance and the hard yards of love yield an eternity of bliss. Disdain, denial, the easier yards of hate driven anger and our ego's thoughtless actions yield an eternity of suffering and torment. Choice, through our free will, comes to us through our stories. The stories we play in our head, the stories we hear from each other.

Choice through LOVE and innocence, comes straight from God. The choice to adorn ourselves in the same clothing that our rich "emperor's wear, cut for them by those deceiving "taylors", is up to our free will. Our innocence, nurtured by love allows us to move beyond the idea of any choice and instead, walk hand in hand with God.

Baba, Benoit and Lucy, the Burringbar Crows grow up and leave the nursery

Baba, Benoit and Lucy, the young Crows that have grown up next door to me have now officially left the Nursery. Two days after, I took this photo of Benoit the young Crow who became my friend, the three youngsters took their final flight from the nursery area. They were about 1 year old when they left the nursery area. (August 2009)

Their Mother and Father have told them to join the Crows that fly about in the wider open spaces of the Valley of the Crows. Lucy tried to come back one day, and the Father told Lucy to go again. He flew at Lucy, and they got into a foot "lock" together, and then the father just threw Lucy into the air. Needless to say, Lucy flew off. Life seems hard for them, but that is their ways. I love the crows for how they are so strong and to the point.

Meanwhile, Benoit, Baba and Lucy have flown overhead, but very high. They are not allowed anywhere near the ground here, when they fly over. Benoit has been seen chasing hawks away from the area, but he is very high up in the sky.

And just a few days ago, about 7 young crows came flying over the area, in a group - led by Benoit. He paused to see me, whilst high up in the sky, then, as the Parents chased the young crows away, they had to leave. Sometimes I hear Benoit down in the valley. I know it is HIM, because I have an instinctive "hearing" for his voice. Don't ask me how THAT works, but somehow, I just "KNOW" it is HIM!

On the last day before he left, I showed him a fifty dollar bill, and this is what he said...........

“All it takes today it seems, is having

some money to follow your dreams.
The day comes up the sun goes down
and life goes fast in every town.

This stuff you eat that feasts on you
I’m finding it mighty hard to chew!”

The Baby Crows are ten months old

Baba, Benoit and Lucy, the young Crows living near the Burringbar Range (NE NSW, Australia) are now almost ten months old. They regularly visit the main group of Crows in the valley nearby, and often spend their nights away from the vicinity of their nesting tree, the Crow's Ash on the ridge.

Their eating skills and dexterity have greatly matured, as has their capacity to understand my directions. Their language is dramatically increased in sounds and strength of sound, but still holds the slight "huskiness" of being a young crow.

They somewhat remind me of dogs. Although when he is feeling boistrously active, Benoit has a sensitivity, that he finds hard to put to practice. This is the time when he may peck at my ear too hard. But a word - especially a very "sensitively put" word - more like a "feeling" expressed to him, and he then is much more gentle.

The whole process is much like teaching a puppy or baby how to be gentle - the approach is the same. Showing the crow that gentle is "soft" and "friendly" and "loving". Benoit knows exactly how to differentiate "soft" from "hard".

Benoit and Lucy both regularly like to fly in, nearby and say hello. I still put clean water outside, in the garden, daily, for the birds.

The dear little crows talk in a low language, trying to "mimic" our words. Lucy is still somewhat slower than the other sibling Crows but like Benoit, has taken to coming in to talk with me.

Baba is still the most cautious of the three, regarding contact with me.

They all like to garden with me, but particularly, again, Benoit and Lucy. I am doing a small landscaping "project" outside my shed. I am making a nice flat area to put a couple of chairs, table and umbrella. The Crows have been helping me, in this task, and spend time picking through the soil that I disturb, as I create my new garden area. It is nice to work away with the little friends so relaxed, close by.

Benoit has become so fast and smart, that at times, the parents are seen to reprimand him, as he display great gusto to trying to take everyone's food, when I throw out fruit or meat scraps for them. He is much larger than Baba and Lucy. His flying skills also show much more speed and agility. He is, in short, a superb looking youngster.

He is often away from the rest of the family, throughout the day, doing his own "crow business", and quite often, I only see him briefly, when he is coming through my way, or the others are nearby to my home, and he flies in to be with them here.

As I write this, I can hear Benoit calling out about half a kilometer from here. His voice is still softer, like a baby Crow voice, but Benoit's voice is the loudest of the "Babies". He makes me smile, as I hear him going about his early morning.

Back when the crows were about 7 months from their September 2008 hatching - this is what I had to say about them:-

"Baba, Benoit and Lucy have now been flying for over about 6months. This makes them about 7 months old. Their eyes show slight blue color, but still appear brown. Their vocal ability has improved strongly, and although they still are very soft in many of the louder calls, they display a great variety of language.

Due to Benoit's encouragement, the other two young Crows - Baba and Lucy, have decided to come closer to me, when they visit my garden. Benoit and Lucy have just spent the last week hanging about together, and Lucy would fly in, afterBenoit, when he comes to visit, and ask for meat or mandarines or grapes.

Lucy has begun to walk up to me, and will sit still for a long time, just looking at me nearby. Lucy has a very soft temperament, compared to Benoit, and is still clearly everyone's favourite.

Some mornings, we all gather outside, and I garden, and pull back from the area I have dug up, and the Crows fly in and gather the worms and insects. Sometimes, I gather the worms, and throw them onto the roadside, for the Crows to eat. They quite like the worms. They love big grasshoppers, also, and fat heliothes caterpillars.

Benoit has taken to walking on the roof, and her makes great noises, as his large crow feet run across the metal roof. Benoit likes to make noise. He is, by far, the noisiest, busiest, fastest, brightest crow, of the three siblings. In fact, quite a handful for his parents."

Myths for a Modern Age

Since the beginning of time, our ancestors have sat under the stars to tell stories. These stories have been passed down, through generations and often have an astrological component. They are a collective treasure of information about humanity. These mythologies and symbolic epics carry a wealth of insight into the human condition, here on earth, and how we relate to God and God's Creation that we are part of here.

Christine holds a wealth of wisdom in story telling and perception of the human "way".Meeting with her professionally some many years back, I learnt a number of valuable lessons (insights).

We are all telling stories.

That is what we do. I give you a story, you give me a story. Well, in this blog, no one is actually writing back to me, and exchanging stories yet, but I am ever hopeful!!

However, this perspective :- that we are all here on earth exchanging stories, is a beautiful view of life and human exchange with the world.

Exchanging stories with Christine back in the nineties, also made me think very hard about my own perceptions and discernments concerning issues such as roadways. This needless, senseless road kill and habitat devastation that comes with human settlement and movement. Perhaps the real question surrounding these issues is:-

"WHY SHOULD THIS EVEN BE AN ISSUE?"

Now of course, on the surface, this carries a very valid and practical assessment of the situation.

WHY this should even be an issue?

The real issue is NOT about worrying how to help the animals in their habitats by and near the roads, not about designing roads that legally support current "environmental technologies" for aiding flora and fauna continuity corridors. These things are clearly important, and are a response to the given current environmental human condition situation .They are, however, extremely inadequate.

AND, it is not necessarily about putting up more signs for koala crossings and ducklings crossing the road. Although these things are clearly important too - and the tireless work of conservationists, animal welfare workers and the many people who just care for animals in their lives and love nature.

However, I suspect the REAL QUESTION TO BE ASKING is.....................

How did we arrive at this point where we even need to consider this immense "POWER" over life and death, in our daily lives? And......

Where does "I" or "me" fit into all of this?

And Where do YOU, my dear reader, fit into all of this?

Well, ..... right now - I am madly telling stories - visual, via the environmental advocacy collages, and the stories that are in the bluecray articles.

And hopefully, some of my stories will inspire you to go to the edge of your comfortability zone, and try a little "surrender". A little "faith" A little "humility" in all of this mad challenging world of today.

But above all - I would like to alert you to your individual power and your own personal stories.

You now wield an amazing amount of power, wherever you move and live. Have respect for this. Possibly, if you are reading this, you own or have at your comfortable disposal - a computer, a car, a home - or at least, so many possessions that you surely cannot travel about with them - all on your back.

However, you may travel about a fair bit also. You may be a patron and participant in your society in some way or another. You may be overwhelmingly connected to a vaste amount of paperwork, processes, bureaucratic rituals, documentation, complex communications networks. This complex matrix of events is symptomatic of ourselves, as individuals, in many ways.

Learning to re-relate to nature is one of the challenges of this matrix of human processes.

As cities and high density urban areas of 24 hour lighting and atmospheric pollution/phenomena are on the increase, the skies are often unseen by people, the world over, every night.

The world of Astrological stories and observations to mark the timing of the cycles of nature and the heavens is largely physically unrelated to sky observations these days. It is largely generated by machines, paperwork, the hard work of some untiring mathematical and astronomical wizards, that bless us with their precise calculations, direct astronomical observations and knowledgeable application of divination, symbols, mythology and etymology.

We have become somewhat "disconnected" from the SOURCE:- The NIGHT and DAY SKIES.

But mostly, what is it that we end up exchanging? - it is stories.

Astrological stories are now accumulating, as more and more astrological thinkers exchange stories, ideas, methodologies and mathematical reasonings via the speed of the internet and mass consciousness exchange..

Also, many of the stories now contain components of modern thinking, reflection, philosophy and "setting", however the basic fact is still there.

We are all exchanging stories.

Tonight, the Moon (emotions and environmental nurturing connections) will be rather close to Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron (knowledge, vision and healing), in the night sky above Byron Bay, NSW, Australia. You should be able to see the Moon and Jupiter clearly above the horizon about 11pm tonight.

Below is an Astrological Chart for 11.32pm AEST (Byron Bay, Australia ), showing that as the Moon, Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron conjunct, the 26th and 27th degrees of the constellation AQUARIUS become important. Also, the FIXED STAR Gienah, in the Constellation CYGNUS, is very close in longitude.

Public knowledge, vision and healing flow well with individual expression

but there remains much to be UNCOVERED and recognised by our individual "selves".

The Earth - at Byron Bay, here in the Southern Hemisphere, has Winter Solstice on the 21st June 2009 (3.46pm AEST). The WINTER SOLSTICE presents many opportunities for RITUALS and MEDITATIONS.

With the presence of Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron in conjunction, in the domain of CYGNUS (the Swan)and AQUARIUS (the Water Carrier), we can expect that "rights of passage"/ "growing Pains" and the water and emotional cycles will come into focus.

This Winter Solstice should be a tremendous experience for letting go and starting afresh.

to exploit any remaining habitat or vegetation community, when surrounding lands are already under stress/severe stress
to clear, then clear again, then again until little seedbank is left within the locality or region
to alter water courses and flows by many small ways or larger ways through development, infrastructure and agricultural means

These things, and many more, are sympomatic of large components of Australian Society in the last two hundred years or so. These things are well entrenched in many of our memories, daily practices, belief systems and national image.

Vast coastal developments stripped bare of any remaining vegetation and machined, ploughed up, dug into, reshaped and recontoured causing vast upheaval for vast numbers of animals, vegetation communities and water catchment ecosystems.

Salted water tables, acid sulphate soils exposure. Roadside, watercourses and other corridors continually, little by little, being cleared and stripped or sprayed.

This is what habitat clearance is. This is what habitat destruction is.

And until sustainable development is clearly understood in our urban / rural mythologies and self image, then we are all a little in the dark before that dawn when everything becomes a little clearer!

There is plenty of land and water, in the world for everyone to share. There is abundance of food and crops and animals all over the world, and if everyone shared, then very few would starve.

Violets, Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron

"AMID RARE BOOKS, AN OLD POTTERY BOWL HOLDS FRESH VIOLETS"

Tonight, in Byron Bay, Australia on 16th May 2009 at 10.50pm(AEST), the waning Moon will rise, followed shortly after by **Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron in conjunction.

By midnight (AEST), these heavenly bodies will all be above the horizon, in the eastern sky. If you were to stand at the Eastern most tip of Australia, at Byron Bay, you would see the Moon rise first, then not long after, bright Jupiter will rise.

** Neptune and Chiron are not visible to the naked eyes, but trust me, they are all conjunct at this time (appear together) in the sky, at almost the same longitude.

Jupiter, Neptune and the Moon are also very close (17th May 2009), by their declination. (approximately 15 degrees south of the celestial equator).

Tomorrow night, (Sunday 17th May 2009), at about 11.30 AEST, these bodies will rise in the Eastern sky again, but this time, the MOON will rise just after Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron.

THIS heavenly configuration will ALSO occur again, in one month - on 13th June 2009, just after 9.30pm (AEST)

Just before the WINTER SOLSTICE

**This conjunction is a rare event. Occurring last time, in September of 1945, this conjunction, in 2009, will be a longer conjunction, and last until the end of the year. This means that the MOON will pass by Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron each month, in conjunction, until the end of the year.

The Sun is heading towards the winter solstice, with the DARK of the MOON occurring (AEST ) on 23rd of June 2009, about two hours before dawn, through to almost sunrise.

This is a powerful time, for alignment of many of the things, that these solar system bodies represent.

Let's have a look at what these "planets" represent.

Firstly the Sun:

Your individuality, essence, the vital forces in life. The positive , masculine forces of life.

The Moon?

Your emotional centre, the rythm of earthly life, the nurturing energies and our feminine receptive sides.

Jupiter?

Jupiter is about knowledge, expansion and management of that knowledge, philosophical boundaries and widening of horizons. Great luck, both "ill" and "good", are associated with Jupiter. Jupiter will take you on a journey to your higher mind.

Neptune:

Neptune aligns, in life, with matters of faith, inspiration and vision, serving to the whole, secretive associations, multiplicity and subconscious activites. Neptune rules the great age of Pisces, that has occurred during the past 2000 years. Neptune rules alcohol, oil, narcotics, death process and sleep.

Chiron:

Chiron is associated with healing and journeys through spiritual discovery, in the earthly realm. Part of Chiron appears to be about learning to be human. Taking all the inherited human failings and abilities, and learning how to apply spirit, to assist soul transformation, in our earthly states.

Chiron, is in part, a teacher, and a healer. Often that part within us, that is waiting to be heard, as a small courageous voice, constantly reminding you to "grow beyond", "get over" learn that lesson", change that habit".

Now, all of these planets - the Sun (SPIRIT) ; the Moon (emotion); Jupiter (expansive knowledge); Neptune (spiritual vision and faith); Chiron (our inner healings) are forming a harmonious trine, at the end of the air signs - Aquarius and Gemini, over the coming month.

This helps us get our little "thinking caps"on, and apply ourselves with some ease. Mysterious providence prevails, lost opportunities are glimpsed, possibilities abound, and some chaos can be found.

However, prevailing over all of this is the symbolic Masculine (creative) becoming less and less, toward the point of the Winter solstice. The Dark of the Moon coinciding with it, veils the symbolic femine (receptive).

This can be a deeply pivotal point - of change, life and death - at this time. Harmonious flowing of Vision, Knowledge and Healing come with this HEAVENLY configuration and the stories it releases.

This coming month has endless possibilties for re-writing old ways, faith-testing moments of luck, institutional fortitude and some fantastic opportunities for "natural magic".

The monthly moon cycle, as it decays into the dark of the moon, this month, will do one more round, of the earth, and then? It's WINTER SOLSTICE.

Stewardship - the Balances

Land, Water and Air Stewardship , to be fully understood, can be strengthened via bonding with nature at early ages in growth of the child. Children can perceive contradicting messages, within their surrounds, as they gather information to help them through their early childhood days and beyond.
Respect of all living things, and beyond, to the very air they breath, the water and land they live upon and the ecological contexts : all these things are best tended to , at an early age. However, therein lies an issue or two.

Firstly, if the very mechanisms that are instruments for education (parent, family and teacher groups, community and government) uphold social patterns that contradict sustainable, natural stewardship issues, then the dichotomy could, in time, become rather apparent to the youth and earlier childhood group. The teacher, perhaps not even able to pass on truly sustainable living knowledge.
Secondly, should the task of responsible enviromental educational systems actually be put into place, what of the vast array of non sustainable economic practices that should gradually be percieved as just that : vastly unsustainable. This is not a very pallatable outcome for an educational policy maker.

Yet, should a system be honestly put into place to, as a national educational objective, promoting love of the land, nature, respect, and continuity of sound ecological practices, then the skills to transform a nation can be created via youth who at least understand how to help nature balance itself.

At a practical local level, and within the regional context, strongly integrated land stewardship practices are best practiced and passed on at early childhood development stages. This integration of respect for the land, is far from happening in mainstream society. The way of the market, the economy, the "world" is so strongly about lack of respect. Society functions with many blind spots to consequences of their actions.
Regarding policy and directives for early education Australia wide ?
This is where the practical land stewardship framework begins - it is built here and travels beyond, into future adulthood and social practices.......
How does the current land stewardship "adult" faction rate, at the time of writing (April 2009)? I suspect not very well... there is much need for improvement here, regarding the process of land stewardship education.

A wise developer once told me that to successfully plan for development, the following rules of thumb can work for everyone:-

leave the surveyors and engineers till the very last
consult local wildlife and environmental experts first
fit the building of homes and infrastructure around the wildlife habitats
go gently, use as little machinery as possible
do not squeeze as many "home blocks"in as possible - rather, let the circumstances of the land dictate how many "home blocks" there can be
when you know where all the animals live and how they live, then, and only then, bring in the surveyors and engineers

I believe this is true for all catchments, all land, all developments. Water considerations should also be dealt with in this way, firstly consulting local catchment authorities and local water knowledge to understand the nature of water above and below the ground. Monitoring this water, and altering the catchment only to benefit the sustainability of the catchment's well being.

The Decision to become an Organic Gardener

When you decide to grow Organically, truly organically, then you never look back. You watch the soil grow, increase, become thicker, more teeming with life. The humus layer starts to multpily.

When your decision has been made, to only grow organically, sharing your food with the other animals in the living garden can be full of compromise.

Growing organically is a way of living. It isn't just growing some plants without adding fertilisers and pesticides. It is about caring for nature, loving the land, rejoicing in harvest, being resourceful and finding, eventually, that you are "tuned" into nature cycles that you never even realised existed before. Growing organic food is also a great way to connect, at a deep level, with the land you live on, and often it is also a great opportunity to connect with the community about you.

The Decision to Share

The sharing of garden space with animals brings more dynamics into the garden. If pest identities decide to also live in your garden, then understanding their ways, is one of the best things you can do.

Animals are often food opportunists. When they see food laid on, they can come in large numbers - a bit like a big free pantry, in the yard.

If you find yourself overwhelmed with large populations of an animal, plant, insect, fungi, whatever - try to understand "WHY" this so called "PEST" has become your enemy!

If you have an idea that in your garden is an ENEMY, then have a think about going back to spraying and non organic ways.

Perhaps you are more able to deal with the "PEST" that way?

Pesticides offer a short term alternative with long term consequences - toxic food chains, support of large petro chemical and bio-engineering/seed technology companies, loss of biodiversity to name a few long term consequences.

However, if you get yourself OVER the knowledge HUMP, and into the realm of foresight, "tuned in-ness", receptiveness to your land that you care for, then you may just realise that the "pest" is symptomatic of the environmental situation.

Whilst some pests are better managed at a regional level, some can be handled at a very localised level.

If you try to "control" the weeds, fungi, insects and other animals, it is best to let nature help you. Observing, some learning, a few rules of thumb, and suddenly, you are an organic gardener. And, if you garden the way I do, then you possibly become a rather "lazy" gardener, allowing nature to do MOST of the work.

Hence, if you decide to weed a patch in your organic garden, it is quickly re-invented as a home, by the life that is already within your garden.

Seed in the topsoil,from past crops, might emerge.
Frogs from nearby shelter will come to graze on the insects.
Small snakes hidden beneath logs may come to find the frogs.
Small birds, nesting in your trees and shrubs may come to eat the larva of insects
Delicate wasps will take spiders to their young.
The list is endless..................

Biodiversity of an area decreases with sudden death of vegetation - although many scavenging animals may arrive to quickly clear up the dying plant and animal life. Animals will leave an area that has been sprayed by a herbicide, that has been badly burnt, that has been mowed over and over again. The first opportunists to re-enter the sprayed/burnt/mowed zone may come from nearby. They may come from your organic garden refuge.

When people decide to create a garden, a revegetation project or a habitat restoration program, often they are faced with land and plants that appear, on the surface, to have little in common with their end product VISION.

The land that is chosen, for the project, may be weed infested, lacking in humous, toxic, boggy, or dry and rocky, perhaps even overgrown with large trees that are an vigorous environmental pests.

There appears, today, to be a large preoccupation with the spraying of glyphosate and related type herbicides that give a quick knockdown, leave limited residue and are easy to apply.

Once the project area is sprayed, then the death appears, animals and plants disappear, food chains are disrupted, habitats become useless. This is also the same for large scale slashing and mowing - there is an overall slowing down of micro habitat, until a new wave of life-force enters the system.

Over time, as this destructive process is repeated over and over again, on the same piece of land, the over-all biodiversity begins to get checked. The overall life force dwindles. Should the harsh, larger elemental forces ( fire, flood, drought, high wind, heatwave ) also act on that piece of land, then it becomes even more challenging for nature to reinvent the marvellous biodiverse patchwork quilt that protects and lays across the land.

Well, I have probably written enough on this subject for now. The choice is yours, if you grow organically. The choice is also yours if you chose to used herbicides or harsh action on habitats (slashing, burning, over cultivating).

The choice, however, does not belong to the animals that live where you decide to do your project.

And so, before you begin any project, anywhere, on a piece of land - be it for revegetation, restoration, organic gardening, engineering purposes?

Have a look at where it is & what is there.
What is living there?
How does it relates to the environment there.
Watch what happens as you move in with your sprayers and mowing equipment.
Watch what happens when you approach the project gently, without large mowing and spraying operations.

What about the Deadlines?

No time? Too busy? In too much of a rush? Gotta do it NOW? Then, at least, have a thought for the animals that live , where you will kill off life.

Where do you think they will go? And how busy will THEIR LIVES be, once you have changed their home and habitat?

Offer a Lifeline!

The alternative is gentle hand weed removal, cutting of plants by scythe, shears, and other hand operated tools, laying over of weeds, possibly a brushcutter, mulching, and seeding with alternative, less invasive species. Gentle fire, gentle habitat re-arrangement, gentle disturbance.

Get it? Why rush into it wielding your power, when, in the scheme of things, life is so vulnerable these days.

And so.......

If you eat from the land where you live, or nearby, then you can become more at one with the natural pulses of the environment about you.
It is a very "grounding" experience to constantly eat from near to where you live, especially if the food is healthy, grown with love and delivered fresh to your table.
And, very often, you will have food left over, that can be shared, both with the animals that live in your garden, and people who live nearby.

And so......

If you help repair the habitats and land about you, whether by yourself, or with a group of volunteers - become one with the land first and foremost.
Take the time to look, feel, observe.
Fly up, high in your mind's eye, follow it's contours, see the land in it's context.
Walk the land with your heart, to find it's hidden wonder.
Delve into the soil with your imagination, to understand the basis of the property - its humus levels, earthworms, beetles, fungi and water balances.

Help others understand and see the benefits of overall careful land stewardship compared to the scientifically and socially geared "spray it with glyphosate" and "mow it repeatedly" policies.

The Reward of Gardening Organically and Sharing the Land

Thousands of little lives, saved. Thousands of little lives keep their habitats.

Thousands of answers as to why to become an Organic gardener!

The goanna leaves the dead bank of grass, after his meeting with PK and Litoria. The butterflies follow too. They are all sad that Rufous Bettong may not visit for a while.

Phantom Koala, Chin Ting and Litoria talk with the Goanna about Rufous Bettong's disappearance and big boots

PK (Phantom Koala), Litoria (the Frog) and Chin Ting (the Dragonfly) have been having adventures together. They came back from their holiday at Egg Rock (across the NSW / QLD border), and decided to visit Rufous Bettong, in the Burringbar Ranges, south east of Mt Warning.

When they got to Rufous Bettongs Burringbar home, they found him GONE!!

Where had he gone? Why did he leave? Where WAS HE???

They arrived at the gully nesting spot, where they usually found him, this time of year, and to their suprise, the gully had changed!! It was all bare, the grass had died, and fallen over, and the many of the smaller marsupials that lived there had gone.

As they bravely moved out from the forest shade, and into the sunlight of the bare gully, they met Goanna, who showed them a big boot, lying in the gully.

"There's your culprit!" said Goanna. "That's why Rufous Bettong is no longer living here. It was the bigboots! The ones that wear those BOOTS!"

Phantom Koala was not suprised. He had seen the big boots everywhere, in their excavators, trucks, cars, on their mowers, in their nests, in their gardens. He had even run hard from one trying to catch him while he was visiting the Tweed Coast.

"So what happened then?" Litoria asked. "What has happened to Rufous Bettong?"

"Why", huffed the Goanna who was lazily sunning himself next to the big old boot "why, Rufous was just napping here, on day, minding his own business, when the whole place began to smell of death. He heard the big boots coming close, and he sneaked out of the gully, and hid near that log there, till night time, then he moved up further into the hills. Oh, one more thing..... Rufous didn't leave that day, he stayed here for a few weeks longer, and finally the poison smell went away, and he stayed back in the gully, under the dead grass, in his old nest. That is, until a bigboots came along and stood on his tail - after that he packed up and left- he says he is not coming back here for a while, because it is too smelly, full of death and he is scared of big boots."

"What about the grass? What happened to the grass?" asked Litoria, still very puzzled.

Goanna looked at Litoria, sized her up as a meal, then decided she was too small, not worth it. "Well, Litoria dear, the grass is dead from the big boots and their poisons. - you are lucky you weren't here when it happened, 'cos we all know how you little Frogs feel about poisons!"

PK and Litoria were sad about Rufous Bettong moving, and after talking with Goanna for a bit, they decided to follow Rufous Bettong's tracks into the higher ranges. It was going to be another long journey.

Luckily Chin Ting had flown up high, and spotted Rufous Bettong far up in the Forest. Chin Ting could show them the way!!
