Art exhibition with friends

2013-06-07T10:13:00.002+08:00

This is my first art exhibition at Taiwan university. My art works style quite different with before. Last time I used to use digital painting, this time I try some different media and style. Actually I'm studying Fine Arts at Taiwan now. Before that, I was a Visual Communication Design's student. I found that I like hands drawing more than digital painting.

This is a part of the show space.

These are some illustration for my first picture book, original painting. I used watercolor, color pencil and soft pastel.

My first picture book sample

"Believe in yourself" - watercolor 54.5 x 39.3cm

"Waiting" - Japanese Painting 45.5cm x 53cm

"Love" - Japanese Painting 91 x 72.5cm

IF ~ Wild

2013-04-14T20:30:00.000+08:00

Say Hi to Illustration Friday again. ^^

This week's topic is "wild". My illustration is a little girl who lives in wild and enjoy the wild life with wild animals. Haha~!!

The medias I used for this work are acrylic, color pencil and ink pen. ^^

Take a short trip with Red Balloon

2013-04-14T01:18:00.002+08:00

This was an homework for media experimentation, I tried out acrylic mixed with oil pastel on the small canvas card, and draw all the pictures into a short story about a short trip of a Red Balloon.

These story line inspired by Mindy Gledhill's song "Anchor", a very nice song. I've already learnt to play this song with ukulele ^^ Love this song so much.

Experiment of Bauhaus - Poster design for WWF

2013-04-01T23:45:00.001+08:00

This is my homework about Bauhaus. I used the Bauhaus typography to design a poster for WWF. I tried to change the type form, arrangement, combined with color and shape to do some design. I used the WWF's slogan as the text in this poster and arranged them into an elephant with some shape. I never try this kind design before, quite interesting.

Last time I have wrote a posted about Blue Grass' friend - Lacca, but I haven't introduce his other friends, the sunflower and mimosa. The sunflower and mimosa can be founded in my few illustrations. You can found them in "IF-Cultivate" and "IF-Diary".

Earth Day

2011-04-21T22:07:00.004+08:00

Earth Day is coming.

Last week I let my students did a project about Earth day. We complete the art work all together.

This is the Earth I draw for them. Why I draw the Earth without green color? You will find the answer under here.

See, some trees "grow out" on the Earth.

More and more trees....

Yeah~ All students "plant" their trees on the Earth. Good job, my kids. ^^

They are the"gardener" who plant the trees on the Earth. Still have some students not in this photo. Love them much. ^^

#20 Thumbs Up Kids' 11 _ Pantun

2011-04-15T22:41:00.010+08:00

This is my first post about my freelance in this year.

These illustrations are for a Malay poem - Pantun. Pantun is a Malay poetic form. It originated as a traditional oral form of expression.

Actually I tried to translate the poem into English, but this is too hard for me to do that. Haha, so just enjoy my drawing.
