Yes that's right, paper can be quite the filler and protector when enough is added. And if you want to go the route of the paper shredder, you can find these relatively inexpensive. I got mine at Wal-Mart for $17.88 + tax. You can take all that unwanted paper and junk mail and put it through your paper shredder, give it a good stir, and viola instant packing stuff. Didn't even really spend that much on it, just maybe a dime or two for the electricity the paper shredder uses.

It's cost effective, you are in a way recycling, and for the most part decluttering your home or office of this unwanted paper stuffs. So why not give it a try, even if you don't run a business it could just as well help you as well in saving at least a little bit of money.

To make money doing nothing more than what you would normally do on Myspace!

Feedback......Feedback!! Get It While It's Hot!

With scams galore running rampant across the world, feedback has become a really important factor to online merchants and sellers. Feedback lets your customers know how you are performing in the views of others. In many cases feedback can become the deciding factor on whether or not you make a sale. So it's best to be on your best behavior, no matter if the sale went bust or was successful.

Getting feedback can be done in a variety of ways. If you have created your own website, you can sign up for a guestbook service and provide clickable links for your customers to click on and leave their comments. A few web services that I have found such as Yahoo Geocities and Free Webs have guestbooks readily avaible for the web creator to use.

If you are feeling the need to be a work-a-holic, you can have your customers e-mail you their feedback and design your own fun and informative feedback page.

Link Referral is also a great way to get feedback of your site. If you are able to edit the html of your site you can select the feedback you have gotten there and copy/paste the code given to you, within your html document. Which will give you something like this:

<td 1="" bg valign="top" style="color:#999999;"><span 1="" style="font-family:arial;font-size:85%;color:#ffffff;">Our Reviews

<td 2="" bg style="color:#eeeeee;"><span 2="" style="font-family:arial;font-size:78%;color:#000000;">"Nice selection of items at really great prices. The one I use and highly recommend is Ecrater. Ecrater is 100% free and is fairly easy to use and operate. It will also send a friendly reminder to your customers, after 20 days, to leave you feedback, if they haven't already done so.

However you choose to get your feedback, remember to remain courteous to your customers, feedback is only optional and is not required for the customer to leave. So don't go about annoying the heck out of people just to get a better rating for your online store. Your feedback will build up over time, so just be patient and you will be rewarded. It may also do some good to remember that not all feedback will be good or as you expected, so don't fret to much if one or two customers decides (despite your best efforts) your services weren't up to their standards. You can't please everyone and in some cases it's a waste of time to even try. One can only do their best! Good Luck and I hope you receive good quality feedback.

Informative Article

I don't have much time today to write out a full blown article of my own, since I have a variety of different things going on all at once today. I've only been making money online for close to a year now, and I've noticed a few things that just tick me off to no ends. There are a few people I know that recruit people to program after program just so they themselves don't have to do any work on the program. If I wanted to continue to work for people I would have never started my own business and still be working as a cashier in Wal-Mart. Needless to say I have stopped signing up under these people, is it being childish on my part for doing such things? Well maybe a little, but like I said I didn't go into business for myself just so I could waste away my time online to be working for someone else, who doesn't even put that much effort into it themselves, besides luring in more unsuspecting individuals.

I have my fair share of referrals to such programs as Mylot, Hits 4 Pay, and a few others that I have waited to receive my first payout from and know as legit money making sites. But I still continue to be just as active with each program, and I don't become apart of so many that it takes up all my time to just get through them everyday. If I become inactive within any program, I delete my account, so I don't feel guilty for making money off of someone else's time. Am I being stupid? Well some might think I am, but to me I'm not, I was inactive in such and such site and didn't really work to deserve the money in the first place. But hey that's just me talking here, for some that may be the way to go, but I just think it's wrong.

I don't mind so much the team aspect of what referrals are suppose to mean, but when the creator or "leader" of the team doesn't make any effort him/her self than what you got is not a team, but another form of a boss looking over your shoulder every time you sign on to "work" ready to pounce on you and rip into you if you decide to stop "working" for even a millisecond. Maybe I'm just missing something here, what that something is I don't know, but would surely appreciate it if someone could tell me what it is.

Tips For A Smooth Running Business

In this article I will be going over a few things in which I have already discussed in previous entries. Mainly I will be outlining the important things and gather them all together in one article so as you can have a list to follow, that doesn't go into an in depth description.

Tip #1: Do some thinking before you start.
Ask yourself if you are really ready to take on a business type atmosphere. Go over your financial situation and ask yourself if you are stable enough to be able to sustain yourself, your family, and a business. And most importantly what product and/or service can you provide that your customers will be interested in.

After you have thought about it and are 100% certain that you are ready to start your own business. Read on to Tip #2.

Tip #2: Make your business legal.
These days most businesses are required to have a business license and tax id. If you are unsure as to whether or not your business will require these, talk with your county clerk. Your county clerk can help clear things up better than I could, since each area is different on this subject.

Tip #3: Advertise, ADVERTISE!!!
I can't express how important this is in mere words. Without advertising your business no one will know that it even exists. There are many ways to advertise and get the word out about your business. Some of which I talk about in these articles: Blogvertising, Internet Wonderland: Business, Traffic Exchanges, Social Networking, and . You can also advertise in your local newspaper, send out fliers and business cards to people you know, and/or place fliers and business cards where people will instantly notice them.

Tip #4: Customer Satisfaction.
Behind every good business is their customers. Without customers a person's business would not go anywhere. So keeping your customers as happy and as satisfied as possible will help your business prosper and grow into the business you have dreamed about.

Tip #5 Money Management.
Having good money management skills will not only keep you in the black, but will also stop a great big headache from arriving in the future. Keeping financially sound in your business will not only keep your business running like clock work, but will also keep providing you a way to taking care of your family and yourself for years to come.

Tip #6 Hiring Employees.
Before hiring your first employee, make sure that you are able to afford paying for them and for health insurance. It is required in most states for all businesses which have one or more employees to have some type of insurance available. Checking with your area business bureau will help in this area.

When deciding who to hire, be sure that the person can be trustworthy, has some sort of experience within the area you will be placing them in. Training should take no longer than a week, but if you prefer to train the employee for a longer time period that is up to you. Never hire more people than you can afford, and make sure your employees mind their manners and aren't scaring off the customers you have worked so hard in getting.

Tip# 7 Don't get in over your head.
Remembering not to take on more than you can handle, will really help in keeping things running smooth for you. There will be less stress associated with your business and you will be less likely to drop your business altogether. Keep your head about things and it should work out eventually to the way you have it planned.

Not one business that I can think of hit it off overnight, so don't get it in your head that your business has to be an overnight success. But with work and determination, your business will start to take flight for you.

Looking For Content To Write About

I still have a few articles left in me to write about the business side of things, but I would like to hear from my readers. Ask yourself will it be beneficial for me to hire employees? How many should I hire to begin with? Am I making enough to pay my employees? In this article I will be answering these questions and a bit more. Like stated in previous posts in no way am I claiming that I know everything or that what I say goes. This article is just to share information, how you take such information is up to you.

Moving forward...........

There comes a time in every business owners life that business becomes so much that it gets hard for just one person to man alone. It is at this time that employees become a beneficial part of the business. They can help move the products faster, help keep the inventory up to par, and help with keeping the customers happy.

Before hiring even your first employee you will want to go over your finances and make sure that it will be within your business' budget to pay not only your employee(s) but also pay for health insurance as well. Now days it is mandatory for employers to have their employees on some sort of insurance. By clicking here you can find out just how much it will cost you to get insurance at a group rate (after of course filling in all the required information).

After you have decided that it is within the business budget to hire on employees, you will want to establish that the person(s) you will be hiring are trustworthy, have some sort of background in the area you will be putting them to work in. After all you still have a business to run and don't want to be wasting a whole lot of time training these first employee(s), of course you will want to show them how you run things, but this should take no longer than a week. Also you will want to keep in mind not to hire more than you can afford. Like stated previously, "don't get in over your head". Getting in over your head can almost instantly be the failure of any business.

Something To Think About
As time goes on, you may experience further growth of your business. At this stage it is entirely up to you once again to think about whether to hire on more employees or take on the extra work yourself. Remembering not to go over budget at any period will help keep your business running smoothly as possible.

Just as a piece of advice, before hiring any employees, you may want to do a trail run, by finding volunteers that would be willing to do the work you would be offering to employees in the future. This will give you the chance to see for yourself how well you stand up to the position of boss and evaluate how other people view you in such a position.

In closing, I've always believed in having a friendly working environment for everyone. Get to know your employees, become friends. Let it be known that respect all around is a vital part in sustaining your business and rude behavior won't be tolerated. In my own observations, businesses that make sure their employees behave themselves and are friendly towards the customers receive a higher chance of those customers returning than those that have employees that are rude and don't give a care about the person they are assisting.

Here's to much success!! Have a good one and I hope this has helped in some manner. No matter the question feel free to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Take care and all the best to all.

View my profile on Money Space Online

Come join me and my friends at Money Space Online. In fact there are many different ways and strategies to having a successful business, what I will be talking about in this article will only be a few ideas and tips. If you so choose to follow them, than that's up to you.

Now on with the show!

As stated in some of my previous blog articles I have been in business for myself for a great many years now. Through that time I have learned a great deal of what to do's and what not do's when generating advertisements, drawing in customers, managing inventories, and managing that all important money stream. Believe me it was not easy getting through that first year. It was tough, it was a lot of work, and a lot of will and determination went into getting me where I am today.

I can almost hear it now, "It's so easy to start a successful business. I know I can make it my first year!" At one point I thought this myself, been there done that, can make the t-shirt..lol! That's where many fail, they get it set in their heads that starting and making a name for their business in the first year is easier than what all the people that have been in business for many years may have stated. But it is wise to listen to people who have been there, they really do know what they are talking about. I know all about the excitement and about being head strong, but even if this is my best advice ever, you will want to find someone who has been through most, if not all, the ropes in creating a successful business. Ask them questions, not silly or annoying questions, but well thought out questions, ones that will let them know that you are really wanting to go into business for yourself.

After you have had your questions answered, you may want to sit down and really think about it for a good long while. Making sure you are really ready to take on something this big and most importantly making sure you have the financial back-up to sustain you through the first year. So you don't want to be quitting your job, until you are sure that your business will be able to support you and your family (if you have one that is). Whether or not to make your business a sole proprietorship or have a partnership is also a decision you will want to be making at this stage. You'll also want to be sure that you are prepared for the work ahead. When I say work, I mean WORK!! You can't expect to sit on your bum all day and do nothing, and still pull in profits. It don't work that way, never has, never will!

If you don't believe me, all you have to do is continue reading below to see what I mean.

Getting Started

Getting started is the hardest part of the process. Depending on the business venture you are taking on a great deal more money is going out than what is coming in, in that first year. That is why it is important to have a financial back-up plan or business budget plan in place, so you aren't putting yourself into debt before you even get a chance to really begin.

Once you have found a product or service that may be interesting to your customers, you will want to make yourself legal, by going to your county clerks office and getting yourself a business license, tax id number, and whatever else may be required for you to have a business in your area.

After you have got all that taken care of there will be a great deal of advertising involved to get your business noticed and starting to draw in customers. If you are doing business off line, you can run an advertisement in your local newspaper, create fliers and/or business cards; leaving them at super markets, laundry mats, gas stations, etc. If you are one of the many that prefers to do business online, there is a whole host of advertising services you can go through, many of which are totally free. Here are a couple articles I have written that talk about advertising online: Blogvertising, Using Social Networks To Their Full Potential, The Ins And Outs of Traffic Exchanges.

Customers

So now you have a steady supply of customers demanding your product and/or service, what do you do now and how do you keep them? You already know that a business wouldn't be a business without it's customers, so being on your best behavior and being professional is a start. Treat them with respect and if a problems arises, take care of it instantly. Don't let it build into a bigger problem by ignoring it.

As an example I treat all my customers as if they were part of my family. Since I hold my family in high respects, this respect transfers over to my customers, they feel welcomed and don't feel as if they are just another John or Jane Doe that someone could give a care less about. When a problem presents itself, I take care of it in a timely professional manner, which leaves the customer satisfied and wanting to return again.

Offering a discounts periodically, will not only draw in new customers, but will also draw back existing customers. You can have special discounts as well for loyal customers, and other such specials to keep them coming back for more. The skies the limit really when it comes to getting those important customers and keeping them.

You will also want to make sure you continue advertising and getting the word out about your business. The advertising never ends really, so it's important you don't forget this important part as well. Word of mouth is good advertising, but it helps if you make the effort to do some advertising yourself.

Managing An Inventory

Though not every business requires an inventory, those who sale products, will want to keep a small one to begin with. This keeps the products you are offering at hand and you can ship them to or be able to replace them quickly. You will want to keep a list of the products and quantity you have in stock and update this list daily. Keeping an updated list is important, so that way you will know when you are about to run out of this or that, and can order ahead before you do run out of that product.

As your business grows you can add to the quantity of products you have in stock, but try to keep an inventory that is at a manageable state. This is important, especially for those that are running their business in a sole proprietorship fashion. Getting in over your head at any stage is not a wise business decision, and can lead to unwanted stress and could possibly lead to dropping your business altogether.

Money Management

When in business it is important that you know how to manage money well, so that way you are keeping your books in the "black"(meaning you have money) instead of going in the "red" (meaning you are going into debt). Some say that the smartest decision is to have two bank accounts; your own personal one and the other for your business. I don't find this necessary however. What I do is keep a very good record of the days profits, half of those profits are for my personal use, the other half is not touched unless it is for business purposes. Though it is entirely up to you how you want to handle your money, just make sure it is a wise and well thought out decision.

Food For Thought

There is a wealth of business opportunities out there for one to grab a hold of. It is up to you to find one that is suitable for you and your lifestyle. Scheduling your time well and being part of something you are good at, will be a beneficial part of your business. However you choose to do business I wish you much success! :) And remember don't let it get you down if you aren't successful within the first month of opening, set small attainable goals for yourself and continue pushing forward to where you want to be. It took me nearly 3 years before my business became successful, so unless you are some sort of miracle worker, don't expect your business to be an overnight success.

Over a thousand items for every occasion! It's free and you have a broader freedom to do as you please, unlike other advertising venues out there. When placing an advertisement as an article on your blog, you can get as creative as you want to be, describe your products, services, business, etc; to whatever extent you feel will get the profit machine coughing out streams of money, and place as many pictures as you would like and think does the advertisement justice.
Yes blogvertising is really for the creative minded, but can work for everyone, if at least enough effort is placed into the advertisement to capture the readers interest and get them clicking where you want them to be clicking.

Advertisements can be as simple as a posted picture with some text explaining the item, service, etc to well laid out descriptive pages. Though you will want to remember that you will want to keep the graphics to a minimum, since graphic heavy advertisements can drag out some computers. Remembering that not everyone has a state of the art computer system and/or a high speed broadband connection to the internet, will keep everyone happy and in the mood to buy your product and/or service.

Example of Simple Advertising

37747 - Love Bird Glass Container
Limited quantities available. On final note if you are offering an online payment method to your customers make sure that you are verified and have a way to present to your customers that you are indeed verified. This will make sure that you are trustworthy and just not out to scam people out of their hard earned money. There are many online payment processors like PayPal, AlertPay, and many others.

Also you may want to learn a bit html so you can add other little tricks and designs to your advert.. On this article I cheated and used the tools that blogger has to save a bit of time, since I have a few other things to be getting done in a hurry also. For a great site that teaches html courses click here.

Have fun and happy blogging! Any questions please be sure to contact me with them. I will surely answer them to the best of my knowledge. :)

MySellerSpace Explained

In this article I will be explaining in depth the different sections of MySellerSpace. Plus how to place your widget within a social network profile and/or inside a webpages html coding.

More advanced computer users may already know this information, but the intentions of this article will be focused more on a beginners level.

Even though MySellerSpace is fairly easy to use and does have instructions through most of the processes I will be going through it step by step to give you a better understanding so you can start without much or any confusion.

Section One: Account Information

This section is pretty self explanatory. Clicking on your "My Messages" link will take you to your messages of either inquiring customers or whatever may have been upgraded by the admins of the site.

Your "edit profile" link will take you to where you can update your personal data. Such as e-mail, city/state, zip code. I'm sure you get the idea.

You will also notice a blue "Manage/Create Widgets" button, this we will be getting into in section three of this article. So keep your pants on we will be getting to the good stuff shortly. :)

Section Two: Adding Your Listings

You will want to pay close attention to this section. I will be describing how to create a listing the will (in hopes) get you instant sales. You can experiment with this section as you wish, to see what works best for you.

When you are first beginning you should have a box that is like this one:

If you can't see all of it on your page, scroll over until you have the box in full view.

Step one: Title
You will want to place a simple but descriptive title for your item. Something that catches the eye and interests your customers from the beginning.

Step two: Price
Name your amount, but keep it reasonable. Not to low or you won't make much of a profit from it, too high and you risk scaring off your customers. Keeping in mind that you will want to price the item on whether it has been used or is a new item. Thinking of an amount you would pay for the item personally, can help in pricing an item you aren't to sure about. If you really want to get into it and be competitive try searching for your item online, and see what other's are selling that item at and make up your mind according to what you have seen.

Step three: Categorizing
You will want to make sure you place your item(s) correctly within this section. This will ensure that your item(s) get the most exposure, when people are looking for items of that category.

Step four: Description
*IMPORTANT* This step is the most important and will most likely be the deciding factor on whether or not your item will sale. You will want to be as descriptive as possible about your item, making sure to add in shipping and handling charges, if it's local pick up only, new or used, what payment types you accept, and how you prefer to be contacted.

Step five: Adding A Photo
Make sure to have on hand a clear picture(s) of your item(s). Place these pictures in a folder on your computer where they are easily accessible and is easily remembered. Once you have your pictures placed on your computer you will want to click on browse (or if you know the file path of your picture you can type it in) and point toward the pictures location. Click open to place the file path in the box provided. (You will want to make sure all your photos are in .jpg format)

Once you have completed this you should have something that looks like this:

(ex. description: Based on the gothic novel by Mary Roberts Rineheart, this haunted house thriller casts Agnes Moorehead as the eccentric owner of a house with a million dollars hidden in it. Bodies begin to pile up as the mysterious "Bat" tries to find the money first. Vincent Price brings his sinister, silky elegance to this film as well.
Genre: Horror/Suspence
Running Time: 80 minutes
Year: 1959
Starring: Vincent Price, Agnes Moorehead, Lenita Lne, Gavin Gordon, Elaine Edwards, Jonh Sutton, Daria Hood
Classic Black & White
Shipping & Handling: Add $1.00

Payment methods accepted:
Paypal (Please send payment to bluerose2000@comcast.net w/note stating which dvd(s) you are purchasing)
Money Orders & Personal Checks
(Please contact me at bluerose2000@comcast.net for payment details concerning Money Orders & Personal Checks))

After making sure everything is on there correctly, click submit. You now have submitted your first listing. Repeat this process until you have all the items you wish to list.

After you have completed adding your items, right under that you should see a list of all the items you have placed on MySellerSpace. With this list you can edit and/or delete as necessary.

Section Three: Creating A Widget
Now the fun part begins. Now you can click on that big blue button mention previously in this article.

You should now be seeing a screen like this:

(reduced in size to save some space)

Step one: Give your widget a name
You can keep the title that is provided, or you can customizer the title to your liking. For example I have given the name "DVD Sale" to my widget.

Step two: Choosing a size
I like to generally keep things small, since it saves space for other things within your web page or if you are doing the social networking thing more space on your profile.

Step three: Choosing your colors
Scroll down until you see the link for "Color Customizer" This will allow you to pick the colors that go best with your profile and/or webpage. Remember you will want things readable on it, so make sure you will want to pick a background and text color that is suitable for the potential buyer to read. You don't want two really bright colors together, those can throw some people off, and are hard to read. A dark background with a light color text or a light colored background with a dark color text should do the trick nicely and is easy on the eyes.

Once you have created your widget to your liking, click on done. You should now be seeing a page with html coding on it, your widget, and places that you can add your widget to. Further explained in Section four below.

Section Four: Getting Your Html Code and Placing It Correctly

You will notice that you can automatically have your widget placed for you just by clicking on the corresponding site and putting in the information to your profile or blog. Though in most cases your widget will end up in some other place than what you have told the automatic placer to do. So in my personal opinion it is best to place the widget yourself, by copying and pasting the html code (provided to you in the yellow colored box) to the area you think will give your widget the best exposure.
Here is an example of the widget placed on Myspace: (You will need to scroll down a bit)My Profile

Now for those who are wishing to create a site in or around this widget I suggest getting an html editor or web page designer program. I use Nvu as my html editor and this program is really easy to use and makes some really nice pages to boot. In the future I may create a tutorial on how to use this program, but for the time being if you have any questions about using the Nvu html editor you can get in contact with me and I'll help to the best of my knowledge.

After placing your widget there is nothing further you need to do. The widget will automatically update for you when you place or take off items from it. The only time you will have to repost the code is if you the name of your widget or colors.

Well that concludes this article. I hope this has helped in some way, if you still have questions, please don't be shy to ask. I will answer as quickly as I possibly can.

Here is the MySellerSpace widget in action:

contact me about my items | Get Your Own!

Here's hoping to many sales!!!! :)

*Note: If interested I have created a group for MySellerSpace users on Money Space Online. I am pretty certain that if one was to run a search on any search engine thousands if not millions of different social networks would come up on screen for you to stare and gawk at.

Many use social networks for your basics finding old friends that one may have lost contact with, keeping in contact with old and new friends, making friends, to have fun on, or join one just to have bragging rights to the fact that they are part of one. Over the years I have been part of sites such as Myspace, Friendster, and Hi5; I started to realize that these social networks can work for any business oriented person in many different ways.

Believe it or not my very first marketing campaign I ever ran (once I wised up to the fact, it was just as much work online as it is off line to run a business)was on Myspace, posting bulletins about specials and discounts I had running at the time. Making sure to embed a buy it now button or placing my contact info within so people could directly buy from these bulletins. Now granted some social networking sites don't allow this sort of stuff to be posted within bulletins, but that is where blogs come in handy as well or heck some even allow you to advertise right on your profile.

I cannot stress enough how important social networking can be for the business owner. Not only do you have a way to get your product(s), service(s), business(es) exposed for free, but it will give your customers the chance to know you, the owner.

Here is an example profile I have on Myspace for my business. You will notice, no matter, what information I provided I kept it short and friendly. Also I included a link back to my profile that goes into further depth about me. This gives the potential customer further insight into who I am, what I like and dislike. It works, you just have to trust me on this.

More Business Oriented Social Networking Sites
Though Myspace was my beginnings in social networking, as time has gone on I have found, with the help of some great friends, access to more business friendly social networking. These can be used in the same way as your normal, everyday sort of network, but really have no limits, except the general content, and making sure you apply to their guidelines.

These business friendly social networks allow you to advertise directly on your profile, post advertisements in your blog, and a few even let you post advertisements in your bulletins to others.

Some of these business friendly sites are: Money Space: This social network is very friendly, helpful, and allows business owners to advertise their products with blog entries and on your profile.

Rotatrix: This site allows you to promote your business, with the added benefit of making some extra pocket money, doing nothing more than what one would normally do on a daily basis on a social networking site.

Dollar Space: This site allows you to promote a variety of things. With also the added benefit of making a few extra dollars.

Apsense: I haven't used this one personally, but have heard good reviews of this site so thought I would get it out to you, so you can check it out for yourself.

There is a variety of business oriented social networks out there, you just got to find one or two that you feel most comfortable with promoting things in. With any social network it is wise to make sure you understand the guidelines that have been outlined before doing any promoting or marketing on them. One doesn't want to get banned before even getting the chance to do any promoting.

I hope this article has helped in some way, if you know of other sites that are good for promoting a business on or have questions please don't hesitate to get in contact with me.

The Ins And Outs Of Traffic Exchanges

Throughout the years I have been a member of several traffic exchanges. Some of which have benefited me greatly and others that weren't even worth spending a millisecond on.

In this article I will be outlining several different areas of a traffic exchange, as to give everyone a better understanding, so some time is saved and I can hopefully save someone from pulling their hair out too much lol.

I will be talking about manual vs. auto surfs, surfing ratios, surfing campaigns, ad trackers, and ways to manage your time wisely if you decide to join several. That is a lot of ground to cover, so I will try to keep as short and simple as possible. With that said let's dive into the world of traffic exchanges.

Manual Vs Auto Surfing
Now as you will notice that their isn't much of a difference between a manual and auto surf, and may think I'm just wasting time writing a bunch of non-sense, but their is a difference to them. With manual surfs you have the option of having several run at once, since you have to click a picture, word, number, etc; to move on to the next advertisement. Auto surfing rotates the advertisements automatically, but the downfall to auto surfing is you can only one or two going at a time. Anymore than that and you risk missing the little extras, which can lead to your account being penalized and/or being banned for not paying attention. That's basically where the differences between the two end.

You will notice that, with the exception of a few, most traffic exchanges have games, extra credit links, and trivia questions which you have to participate in, in order for you to continue to be a member of the site. These are annoying yes, but it gives you something more to do than just sit and stare at ads for however long one prefers to do such. Plus these extra things tell the site that you are indeed human and not a "cheat bot" as they like to call them. *Cheat Bots: Programming that simulates a human. Originally designed for online gaming, these programs have been known to be changed to take on traffic exchanges. Though if found to be using a cheat bot, the user is automatically banned without warning.*

Surfing Ratios
On most traffic exchanges you will notice something like this: 2:1, 1:1, etc. This is stating that for every site you view, your site will be put into the view of someone else. For example if you see a ratio of 3:1, this means for every 3 ads you view, your advertisement(s) will be put into rotation once. Sometimes these ratios are designed for giving the viewer credits. In this case the ratios work in the same manner, just you are needing to surf that many advertisements before you gain any credits to go towards your own advertisement(s).

Surfing Campaigns
On some traffic exchanges you will notice that you are able to set up campaigns. Within these campaigns you are able to set up as many views to your advertisement(s) as you feel that you will be able to gain credit for. These campaigns can be set to repeat forever or as long as you feel you will have your advertisement running. One site that I have found to be good with campaigning on is TS 25. At TS 25 they will automatically update the views to your advertisement depending on how many sites you view within any given period. This really saves on having to update your campaign manually.

Not every traffic exchange you become part of will have the option of creating campaigns, but it comes in handy when you are not sure that you will be able to surf on a certain day. Once the campaign has done it's views and you are out of credits the way the campaign is designed, your advertisement(s) won't run again until you have sufficient credits in your account. Again saving time, that many of us just don't seem to have these days.

Ad Trackers/Rotators
These you have to be really careful with and make sure that the traffic exchange allows them. Most traffic exchanges will allow them if you become an upgraded member, but I'm still on the prowl for one that allows free members to place them, without any consequences against them. So if you know of any please feel free to get in contact with me.

The ad tracker/rotator I go with is TE Toolbox, this one is easy to use and you are able to set the priority of your advertisement(s), meaning if you set it to high that advertisement will have more views than whatever you have placed with the rotator. Free members are allotted 5 sites and I believe upgraded members are allotted up 200 sites. There is also another ad tracker that seems to work for those who use it and that is www.trackthatad.com. I have not used this one personally so don't know all that much about it.

Ad trackers usually keep track of how many hits each of your advertisements have had, some of the better ones can even count clicks, but those usually are really expensive and a pain to use, so unless you have the money and time time for them I don't really recommend the one's you have to pay for.

Managing Your Time
Traffic exchanges can be time consuming if you are just starting out and haven't really set any personal goals. This is where manual exchanges and campaigning play an important role in managing your time correctly. With manual exchanges you can have several open at once and still be able to keep up with the trivia and/or any other game link they wish for you to participate in to make sure you are an active human member. As mentioned in a previous blog article, I mentioned that setting a certain number of page view per traffic exchange will help in keeping the site happy and you as an active member of the site. You can set any amount you wish for yourself, but make sure it is something you are willing to do on a daily basis, and can keep up with.

Misc Information One Should Know
You will notice that a lot of advertisers on traffic exchanges only have one page with a link that opens in a new window to their site. These are called "splash pages", meaning you put enough information on them to draw in the viewer to clicking on your link and finding out more about your product, service, business, etc. This is where creativity comes in to play, but you don't have to do this, you can just place your referral link (which is already directed towards the home page) or your site link. But being creative with your advertisements, can really bring your services to the attention of those who are viewing your site.

Traffic exchanges can be an extraordinary way of advertising and making a statement for yourself. They really do work if you give them the chance to start working for you. They aren't an overnight magical thing, but with the right amount of effort you will see profits coming in and viewers to your site on the rise. I hope this has been of some help to those needing a little bit more understanding of traffic exchanges. If there is anything I have missed and you would like to know more about, please don't hesitate to get in contact with me, and I will do my best to better explain it for you. Take care and brightest of blessings to all!

Brain Freeze: Getting Closer To Turning Another Year Older

Thinking that it was still in the month of July, I just now came to the realization that it is August 1, 2007. Realizing this has set me on a course of thinking of the past year and how it just flew right by me. It was a good year, but isn't it always the normal course of things, to hope for the year ahead to be even better? I do hope it is, but I can't tell the future and what it may hold in store for me.

It's hard to believe that in eight days from now I will be turning twenty-six. It doesn't seem like it should be, but alas I must come to the realization that it is to be. My mother wasn't kidding when she told me, "you should enjoy your childhood. Once you reach adulthood, time flies faster than you can blink an eye." Boy was she ever right. It doesn't feel like five years have passed since turning twenty-one, but boy howdy they surely have.

This month is also one of the hardest for me to get through. 16 years ago, this month, my father passed away. It's the strangest thing, but each August, I grieve the whole month. I miss my father so much. I know I should focus on the happier things, and I know he is always with me, but it's not the same as actually being able to see him, spending time with him. It's a hard process to go through, but I survive it the best I can.

Anyways, before I start crying, time to flip back to talking of other things. I do look forward to my birthday this year, just not turning older. I've told many now, that I am going to stay twenty-five forever, but hehe I know that is not possible. It's about to drive me batty, everyone tells me they have plans for me on my birthday, but they haven't stated as to what yet. I have to wait til my birthday..bah humbug!!! Surprises get on my nerves, but I usually end up liking them in the end. I'm strange in that sense.

Well I need to get going, and conclude this blog entry for today. Mowing is beaconing to come forth. Need to before my lawn turns itself into it's own rainforest..lol. Take care!

Internet Wonderland: Business, Traffic Exchanges, Social Networking

I've been in business for myself for a great many years now. I've jumped many hurdles and taken some beatings in the process. All in which lead to me being a successful business owner today. It was not an easy road to travel.

In the beginning I thought I knew everything I needed and had the know how to be successful my first year of doing business online. Heck why not? I had already established myself as a reputable business person, in the area I live and had a few out of staters that ordered my products through mail order catalogs. Boy, how my thinking would be changed in only a month. My first mistake was being lead to believe that all one had to do was post a product online and it would sale. Let's just say I never listened to that person again. Yes, feel free to laugh at this point. Laughter is good for the soul, and heck I'm not afraid myself to laugh at my own mistakes.

Doing business online is no different than doing business off line. This is something that I should have realized earlier on and would have helped save me a lot of time and grief. No matter what product(s) you are trying to sell, advertising and getting the word out about your product(s), services, and business in general; is the key to getting those sales coming in. Now I know how pricey advertising can be, even more so when one has several different ads running at any given time. When you are wanting to go the way of several advertisements running at the same time and money is tight, than basically you want to stay as close to FREE as possible.

At this point, if you are the creative type and are familiar with html, you may want to start creating some eye catching advertisements to place on any social networking site that allows such things to be placed on your profile page. Best advice, unless expressed on the home page, ask the site administrator before hand. So you don't risk getting your account deleted. Some of your more business related social networks are as follows:Money Space Online, Rotatrix Friends, Dollar Space, and Hash Bush. These sites allow you to place ads on your profile, but don't make it a thing to place your advertisements in comments to other members. This can cause you to get banned.

Social networking is a great way to get your business and products out there to the world. Plus it gives you and potential customers the chance to get to know one another before hand. Sometimes striking up friendships before hand can be better for a business, than not, but always make sure that you conduct yourself in a professional manner.

If you are one that prefers to skip the creative side of advertising and your site allows frames to be added to it, than traffic exchanges may be for you. Though you have to be willing to put some effort into surfing a number of sites to keep your site active within the traffic exchange's site rotator. These sites are generally free to join, with the option of upgrading to a certain member status or to be able to add more sites than what you are originally allotted as a free member. Some traffic exchanges that I use frequently are:Magic Highway, Royal Surf, Clicks Matrix, Traffic Dodgems, and Traffic Syndicate 25. When joining make sure you read through all the information given to you before you start surfing and adding your site(s) to any traffic exchange. Having the best understanding of a traffic exchange will save you from any trouble in the future.

After you have gotten familiar with any traffic exchange(s) you have joined, make sure to add your business site or any other site you are needing traffic to. After you have accomplished that much, you may want to take the time and think about setting a certain number of sites you are willing to (or have the time to) surf everyday. For example at any given time I have three of the above stated traffic exchanges going and have set my maximum sites viewed to 300 per traffic exchange. Since I like to multi-task a lot it is quite easy for me to view 300 sites per traffic exchange, in a timely fashion. Remember I said you would have to be willing to put some effort into this to make it work, you just can't add your site(s) and leave it at that, that is not how traffic exchanges work. If you don't have the credits or have not surfed even the smallest amount of time, your page(s) will not get placed into the site rotator and be viewed by other active members of the traffic exchange. Hence you could possibly be losing tens of hundreds of potential buying customers. So be sure to stay active in the traffic exchange(s) you have joined, and don't join more than you can handle in a day.

More tips to come so be sure to be on the look out for them. Take care and if I have at least helped one individual towards greater success in business than I will be content. Blessings to all.

Internet Wonderland

Throughout the years it has come to be known that I am a computer nerd, internet junky and a few other names in which I just don't have time to think of right now. Within that time I have stumbled upon a few oddities, some of which I will not be linking to within this blog, due to content issues and generally the site just being rather gross in nature. Why even give mention to such smut? Well, I would like to get it out there and hopefully any parent who reads this blog entry can be on the look out for it, so their children won't end up with corrupted minds like myself..haha!

Topping the charts at number one is Rotten.com. This site is not for the faint of heart. With it's scenes of death, destruction, and nudity. It is more for the sick and twisted that walk amongst us. This site should have been banned long ago, before it ever gained popularity in the internet world. But who am I kidding if it were to be banned than those sick little monkeys who like this sick b.s. would most likely be broadcasting it over television as some sort of late night special, for all the other sick little monkeys that like watching that sort of thing. The site's name says it all folks "Rotten" it truly is.

This next site came close to tying with site number one, but Joe's Cartoons will take it's place as second best or as I should say second worst. Joe's Cartoons is a site ran by a very sick deluded man (or woman, you just never know how it goes online these days)who creates interactive cartoons such as "Frog In A Blender", "Froggy Fun Wheel", and a selection of other twisted cartoons that maim, kill, or torture any number of animals and people. I don't know what happened in this person's childhood, but I know I certainly don't want to know what could have happened to corrupt this cartoonist's mind. And to think there are some out there, that think this site is funny. I guess I must be missing the humor of it, cause I just don't see it as funny.

Coming in at third place is My Death Space. Certainly not as sick or gruesome as the first two, but does rank up there in the oddities category. This site keeps track of all those that were once part of Myspace, but by some manner have met their untimely demise. This is the first site of it's kind to be broadcast on the news that I have seen, or even be publicly talked about. Which makes me wonder, just how far does the public's fascination with death really go? Truthfully, if I were to die tomorrow, I would be definately coming back and haunting this person, if ever my death was showcased around like some sort of trophy.

Well that wraps it up for the oddities I have ran into lately. Their are a few more that are entirely worse that the ones I have spoken about here, but I am really pushing it with the first two I have mentioned, and don't want to get in trouble with the advertisers I have as part of my blog. Yeah sometimes censorship sucks, but without it this world would be worse of a disaster than it is now.

Now that I have gotten the oddities out of the way. I would like to introduce you to some family friendly sites that I have had a lot of fun at. I can only hope that you have as much fun as I have at these sites, heck I hope to even have a talk with you at one of these sites.

My number one family friendly site is Atlantis Games. This site is for every age to join. You can collect a certain number of tokens which than in turn you can put into drawings to win even more tokens or free downloads of your game of choice. This site gets an A+ from me since it has it's share of word games that can help with the little ones reading and spelling skills.

My number two pick of family friendly sites is Gamesville Games. This site is loaded with games that all ages can play, but is basically geared towards a more adult audience since money is involved. The site is friendly and helpful towards all, with bad language censored if you are one that happens to keep the chat box open.

My number three pick of family friendly sites is Pogo. Although the people there don't seem to be as friendly, I still give Pogo an honorable mention for it's games. There are many games there that consist of spelling words, which in turn can help a child who is learning how to spell, or even read for that matter. Again another adult audience type site, but still very child friendly also.

The above listed are free to join. With the exception of Pogo, but that is only if you wish to become part of their club they have going. But from my experience you have as much chance at winning the jackpots as you do as a free member.

Well this concludes this session of Internet Wonderland. I hope you have enjoyed reading and for the most part I really hope you stay away from the odd sites mentioned, and have a great time with the game sites that I have listed. If you or someone you know, knows of an odd site or a family friendly one please let me know by contacting me through either this posting or by e-mailing me at bluerose2000@comcast.net. Make sure to include in your subject title if the site is an odd one, or is family friendly. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to be hearing of your own experiences online soon. :)

My Journey Through Social Networking

I am no new comer when it comes to social networking. Though through the last year or so I have been introduced to some that really work for each purpose I come online for.

You have your basic sites like Myspace, Friendster, Hi5, Fubar, My Yearbook. Which are great sites to find old friends, make new friends, or to keep in contact with family. Even though they aren't great for the business aspects of one's life, each has their own style and fun factor to them.

A few months back, I was introduced to a whole different concept of social networking. One in which mixes marketing, business, and pleasure all into one money making bundle of fun.

With sites such as Money Space Online, Hash Bush, Rotatrix Friends, Dollar Space, and countless others that are out there. You are able to place the ever popular Google Adsense on them, create creative blogs to post, and sale whatever your heart's desire on them (as long as it conforms to the policies and terms set by each site). You can do business your way and meet and make interesting new friends all in one deal.

My personal favorites of the above listed are Money Space Online and Rotatrix Friends. Why only these two? Well my friends and dear ones, I have found these two to be the best to show professionalism, and still treat you as an equal, no matter your skill and understanding level. Although I basically only use these sites for making business associations and friends, they have helped me with my own business to. I can send people to my profile on either Money Space Online or my other profile on Rotatrix Friends, this helps people put a face to a name, get to know the individual they are doing business with. It certainly has helped with bring attention to my business and getting products sold.

Though you don't have to take my word for it, you can certainly find out for yourself , by signing up to any of the above listed social networks and try them out for yourself whether you are the one that is trying to make a life of making money online or not. They can be beneficial to anyone really.

To those who make their living online, I wish you all the success you can manage. To those who don't, I still wish you much success and hope that maybe one day you'll at least consider trying to make a few bucks online. All the best to all! Have a good day.

MySellerSpace Widget

Have something you need to sale? Sure there are people out there that may say that it is, but really I think they are living in some sort of dream and forgot how to be a part of reality.

In general, in order for a person to make a decent living for him/herself, they have to work many hours a day, in some cases working overtime or at least hoping for some overtime.

And to think owning your own business would be an easy source of income, you'd better change your line of thinking right now. The only easy part about that is making your own schedule.

Coming from my own experiences, past and present, many hours have gone into advertising/promoting, making catalogs, and generating websites. With a considerable length of time spent in generating a returning customer base. Not as easy as one may think it is, when doing most of the work alone. If you think you can prove me wrong, than surely I suggest you give it a go and see for yourself.

Even those who make millions everyday have to work hard at what they do to get those millions of dollars everyday. And those that say "there's nothing to it really" are just blowing a bunch of smoke up where the sun don't shine. They are lying through their teeth to suck in the next sucker who happens along.

If making money was as easy, as these so called money making gurus lead people to believe, then why aren't they giving away their secrets for free? The answer to this question may seem obvious, but the real answer lies within the fact that the only reason they are making the money they are is because they have suckered you into believing that their system is really that easy, and there is no work involved. Get a clue, to make their systems work, you have to be willing to spend many hours on the computer, generating websites, downlines, getting people interested in purchasing whatever product you are marketing, promoting website after website, and all this other stuff that those so called money making gurus never mention within their advertisements. And if you think they'll be there with you every step of the way, you'd be wrong again. Maybe the first two steps, but after that you are basically left to fend for yourself.

So you see, unless money is just being handed to you or money really does grow on trees and I just haven't found one yet, making money is very hard work, and if you aren't willing to do that work than you will be watching your "money stream" shrivel and dry up quicker than you can snap your fingers.

Mornings Are Evil: Day Three - Eight

You know what computer problems SUCK!!!

Hello again everyone! Hope you are doing well. Yes I have returned to further torment you with more insights into my twisted world of trying to become a "day" person once again.

Day 3 ~ Wednesday, May 23, 2007 ~ Another uneventful day. Is there a pattern starting here or am I just seeing things? Spent nearly the whole day wanting to kill my computer, but refrained from doing so. Why? Well apparently swearing at it and calling it everything under the sun is more fun for me, than taking a sledgehammer to it. If I were to kill it, than what would have in my day to give me problems and keep me on my toes..haha! Really could do without computer problems though they are a royal pain in the ass.

Day 4 ~ Thursday, May 24, 2007 ~ Guess what? Yep you guessed it another uneventful day. Man this is starting to get boring. I did, however, cave in and took a short afternoon nap. Although I am uncertain as to whether it helped in any fashion. I still got up feeling like during my sleep I had been transformed into a zombie. Oh well as long I don't start having cravings for human flesh, I'll be stable enough to get on through the days to follow.

Day 5 ~ Friday, May 25, 2007 ~ Went out to see about an FHA loan. That is about how excitement filled my day was. Being close to a holiday weekend I'll probably won't hear until Tuesday whether I got it or not. Crossing my fingers, but well that's a government assisted loan so with my luck they'll probably say "You kidding me. What was she thinking? Like we would loan her money!" Afterwards came home and sat on my rear end and worked on the computer some more, and watched TV. YAY! So much excitement I can barely contain myself here.

Day 6 ~ Saturday, May 26, 2007 ~ Woohooo it's getting to be my first week of making it through this transition of becoming that day person I have been speaking about so fondly. Still feeling like that ever so present ubber zombie, but the feeling is getting a little less, and now I can relax a bit, knowing that it won't come to the point where I will have that insaitable urge to eat human flesh. Did laundry, and more cleaning, that was about the extent of my day. Oh yeah can't forget WORKED til nearly bed time. That was a bit tiring but I made it through ok.

Day 7 ~ Sunday, May 27, 2007 ~ Oh my! Only played video games all day. My thumbs are hurting. It's been so long since I have done something like that. Mainly played spyro and Hydro Thunder, but hey I love this games, so shush it. Hey! I told ya to keep quiet, no teasing allowed..hehe. Even I need a break sometimes. I don't really need to be on the go constantly, but it sure helps keep the boredom at bay.

Day 8 ~ Monday, May 28, 2007 ~ Hmm! The day has only really begun for me, so don't have the slightest clue what I will be doing today to keep myself from giving in and just going back to my night owlish ways. But it'll probably involve more cleaning, more video games, and more work. With the hour or so stop and break time, for a BBQ I will be going to later on today. Memorial Day is here, so it's the best time to get filled up on BBQ'ed food..hehe. Well so is the Fourth of July, but I am usually to busy watching and setting off my own fireworks to really enjoy BBQ the way that it should be.

I may even go swimming today, don't know that's still in the thought process. But it very well could happen since it's still early morning and it's already getting hot here. Decisions, decisions. Oh hell I'm going!! lol. Well that just about sums it up. Hope I didn't bore people to much, if I did well that's your problem. Not in the mood to deal with anyone's problems today. Take care!

BloggingAds.com

Hey everyone it's me again. Yes I survived through my first day of joining the world of the day people. Time for round two. Day one was pretty much uneventful, with the exception of my landlord coming over and rudely beating on my door while I was trying to watch a movie, was relaxing after just getting done thoroughly cleaning my kitchen. When I say thoroughly, I mean it. I pulled out the stove and refrigerator, and swept and scrubbed the floor under them. Reorganized everything (even though it didn't really need to be), afterwards scrubbing the ceiling and floor. Yeah went a little overboard, but anything to keep myself from giving in and just going back to bed.

It is strange when you are trying to make a certain transition how quickly your bed can become your worst enemy, especially in a fast manner. But I guess that is fairly common and easy to do when you stay at home most of the time. Can you blame me though, gas prices are becoming extremely high and it's just not a wise decision these days to just go off on a joy ride. Well never really was a wise decision, but it is nice just to get out of the house and not have really any set plan in mind.

Today I'll probably thoroughly clean the living room, again just to beat that urge to go back to sleep. Yes can you tell I am determined to make this day thing work. Why? I really don't know, guess it's just needing that feeling of actually accomplishing something, since it seems so long since the last time I have really accomplished anything. I don't really know what sort of feeling I'll get from accomplishing tackling the task of not feeling like at any moment I am gonna just fall over dead in my tracks, but in the long run it could very well benefit me. Who knows though that's in the future and I don't have no way of telling what the future holds in store for me.

Well once again it is time for me to get off my butt and go do something. I feel the sleepiness trying to set in so need to go wake myself up again. The bed is not gonna win this..haha!

Mornings Are Evil: Day One

I'm generally a very versatile individual, with really no set schedule. However, I'm also the biggest night owl you'll ever meet. I love the night, no traffic, no pesky unknown individuals coming to your door trying to sale you something that most likely wouldn't be worth even a single penny, and most of all it's quiet and peaceful.

But as of today, Monday, May 21st, 2007 my night owlish ways, have turned into sunrise awakenings and noise filled blunders. Joining the realm of the mindless walking zombies, robots of this modern society, the endless stream of day walking souls. It astonishes me how vividly alive these individuals can be when still at 8:32 am I am still trying to wake up, just so I can get into some sort of morning "routine". Did I just say routine? Nah I must have been hearing things.

AHHH! I can hear my bed calling me or is that just another deprived of sleep induced halucination or some secret signal my brain is sending out to me, to foil my plans of this transformation into dayhood. Hmm! *Goes into pondering mode, but finds that thinking at this hour is just not happening* Um, yeah on that note I best be getting a move on things if I am to ever accomplish this feat of trying to actually be a functioning individual in this day world.

91 Year Old War Veteran Gets Beaten And Carjacked

I don't even know how to express how angry I am about this story I heard, excuse me read about in the news.

While trying to get into his vehicle 91 year old Leonard Sims, was brutally beaten while 5 onlookers just stood around watching as this man threw punch after punch at this older gentlemen, afterwards taking Leonard's car.

I've seen the video only once and by clicking here , you can view the video for yourself. I don't know about you but to me it seemed that those five that just stood there, looked able enough to help Leonard out. I could not just sit by and watch an older person getting punched and beaten. To me that just proves how non-caring this world has become. I actually cried for this man, and I don't even know him. For anyone to do that an elderly person is just so very sick in the head and needs to be locked up for life, or wait til his this man's age and have someone beat him like he did Leonard.

It's total b.s. and disrespect. *sighs* And people get after me and are trying to make me feel bad that I have pretty much kept silent on certain issues arising. How can I be proud of fighting for something that on a daily basis I see how bad things are becoming despite the many efforts of people voicing out and fighting for what they believe in. It's all well and good to fight to make things better, but what is becoming better in this country of ours. Not even our elderly are respected this day and age, and this news story only proves it.

The Wandering Mind & Sleepless Nights

Over the years that I have been alive on this Earth, I have noticed that my mind often likes to wander off the subject at hand, more so even as we speak. It takes great effort these days to keep on track. More so that I find my business venture becoming more and more of a bore than really anything else. Maybe it's the fact that I spend to much time in my house, working and doing nothing more than the everyday "routine". Some say I should just get out of the house more, but what for, so I can be spending a ton of money on gas and even have that feel like it's just becoming "routine" too.

I guess having a wandering mind isn't so bad, but it's even invading my sleep. At this moment I am drained it feels, but yet if I tried to go to sleep I would just lay there tossing and turning. Thinking endlessly of nothing important, but thinking none the less. It's funny how the mind works sometimes. One moment could be emptier than the darkest void, the next so full of thought that you don't know whether you are coming and going. Of course I am only talking about mine. Fore I don't know how each individual mind works. It's probably a good thing to, cause well than I probably would never get any sleep.

Even this writing thing, though I am crappy at it, hasn't really placated my mind. So much for me thinking that I could silence my mind once and for all by doing something as simple as that. All I know is I need to do something to silence this mind of mine, before I am so tired that I can't even move. I'm sure one day I'll think of something.
