First Post of the year

I was going to post about the highlights of last years, but I never expected my year to start the way it did.
On the new years party I ate something that upset my tummy, I felt sick for over a week, this wasn't normal my tummy hurts, I feel nausea couldn't even see any kind of meat because I was about to puke. Kriss told me I was pregnant, I say no it was imposible, (long story short due to my health problems I can't get pregnant) so I was sick with no reason.
Well last friday I thought it was enough of been sick and gave Kriss the reason and got tested:

What a SURPRISE!!!! I'm pregnant!!!!!

I can't explain why now I'm pregnant, for 3 long years we try, we pray and cry about the fact I didn't get pregnant! and now all of the sudden there is a baby for us. its a Miracle!

I receive the blood test by email, when I open it I didn't understand what positive mean, had to call Kriss so he read the test, we start crying happily for this awesome news. The first thing I did was to call my parents; that day all my aunts were at my parents house, my dad was telling them he had a dream, he receive a call from the tv station for a casting, he was going to play the part of a grandpa on a movie but they didn't select him because his hair wasn't gray enough lol 5 minutes latter I call with the news and everyone was screaming!! they are so exited with this new baby that is coming.

On Monday I went with my mom to get the ultrasound, my baby is 7 weeks old, we hear its little heart beat, it was the best sound in the whole world all I could do was to praise the lord for this life that is growing in my belly, I cry every time I see its first picture, its so tiny and perfect.

I know my life is going to change, its going to be upside down but I wanted this for so long I'm going to enjoy every minute of it .

Christmas Presents

This year I've decided to make the Christmas presents we are going to give. I separate then in 2 types of presents, one for the boys of the family and the other for the girls

For the girls I bough these cute bottles and fill them with hand sanitizer then decorate them with stickers and ribbon.

Sorry for the bad pic lol but I was to lazy to rotate it, I mede boxes for every single hand sanitizer bottle, A total of 10 of them, I know I'm crazy!

For the little girls I made socks cupcakes really cheap and simple

For the boy was easy I made these cute bags and fill them with hot weels for the little ones and candies and dry nuts for the adults, there are a total of 16 bags!! I know this is crazy!! but it was fun now I'm waiting for them to see them on the 24!

The best way to start using all the stuff I have is making ATC, I'm trading these beauties with my crafty friends, is so easy to try new techniques in this size of paper to bad I'm running out of paper lol

Tim Holtz Obsession

I've been scrapbooking for at least 6 year, so far I have mores supplies than competed albums, on of my favorite techniques is using alcohol inks to make little flower and stain everything well the addiction has increase now most have everything from Tim Holtz lol

The good thing is I have a great friend who loves Timmy ( the name we gave him) as much as I do so she is torturing me to ge more stuff (like I'm going to believe that :D) My friend Monica and I have decided to learn as much as possible about Tims techniques and give our stuff the best use.

Last night I was curious of how much of his stuff I had, well lets say I'm impress!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! this is all the stuff I have in my apartment, need to add the dabbers that are in my parents house lol

They look so nice all together it just makes me want to play, most of this stuff is old I I haven't use it before like the hammer it was missing for 2 year, "surprisingly" it was in Kriss tool box, I wonder how it got there mmmmm.........

I'm impress that I only have 1 distress stickles, just ONE!! I need to fix that soon :D

My alcohol inks are all worn out those poor thing have suffer most of my creative attacks along with my perfect peals, since I like the shinny effect they are wayyyy better than using glitter to get that shine I was looking for.

Mini misters are the best things on earth! they are one the of the cheapest spray bottles I bough, their mist is great perfect for working with the the inks and the perfect pearls.

and finally my new masks! I'm in loooveee with these I didn't expect they work as good, the are perfect for all of my projects!!

I was invited again to be part of EL TALLER DE VERONICA show, its a craft show on tv from a friend of mine this is the second time I'm on the show and I loveee it, Veronica is so funny we did have a great time:

It was the second time for the 3 of us been on the show we have were more relax this time

The best part was the food!! as part of the celebration of the 100 episodes she had another guest who brought pupusas salvadoreñas they were great!

Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza Puffs

I found this recipe at the Plain Chicken for pizza puff and I try to make them but I had a little problem I didn't have all the ingredients in my kitchen, I had the cheese the peperoni and jam but no flour or baking powder to make the crust so this little guy help me a lot:

The Pizza crust from Betty Cocker is the easiest way to make pizza without the mess of doing the crust, just add water and all the ingredients you want to have in your pizza puff, put them in a cupcake mold, bake them and you have a great snack!

I don't know if I have blog material in me, my poor blog has been neglected may times in the past so I'm not sure if I can compromise myself to keep it regularly but (there is always a but in here :D) I'l try to post more often not every year lol

Thanks to my friend Monica Soto I will take her advice and give a little love to my blog! <3

Now I'm living in a cute apartment, I rent from my cousin so is a tiny piece of land that was made specially for us so far we have everything we need even a fridge (we live 6 months without one) we are slowly filling the apartment with all the things we like.

We have a great view we can see all San Jose downtown and Aserri from it :D

This is the best acquisition we have, it was almost free we just bought the table and the chairs were a plus

this is the front of our house I use that corner to scrap is a nice please to be since the view is great

this is Gabo's room we finally have a bedroom for him we are so glad we are able to be in a 2 bedroom home

and the best part of my home our orange wall, Kriss did the mural and we love how it look

Finally I have time to blog! I can't believe it has been this long since the last time I was here, everything has change, I have change and the people around me changed too.
I got a new pet, a bunny name Yoko she is the sweetest thing on earth! I moved out of my parents house to my In Laws house, now I'm moving again to a new apartment with Kriss.
As today I start a new life that I didn't imagine it will happen so soon, never in my life I imagine living alone with someone without getting married first, but here I am packing all my stuff to move them to a little apartment I'm going to be sharing with Kriss and Gabo.
We are going to spend our first Christmas as a family in our own place and this new year is a new year of blessings for us, we are luck to be around wonderful people, family has been a great help during these days, and I know they will always be by our side.

Para mi proyecto utilice las tapas de los refrescos gaseosos para hacer los centros de mis flores, es una forma de reciclar el metal de las chapas y permite manejarlo de múltiples formas....... pero este es el momento en que se preguntan y las fotos???? mi adorado papá uso la cámara ayer y la dejo sin baterías así que lo siento chicas en la noche subo las fotos :P

In 2007 I went to an scrapbooking event in Alabama to meet my online friends, I had a blast I wanted to make a cute album but never had time to do it, this holly week I started working on it,( just 3 years later lol, ) I made this LO when I meet Christina Padilla one of my favorite scrapbooking artist and friend, she is amazing!! During that trip I had a group of paparazzi taking pictures of me lol (since I was the only one from outside the states) one of my friends capture the exact moment I talk to her for the first time I had to make a LO of that moment I just love the way it turn out!

I've been scrapping for 5 long years and I just discover alcohol inks, I can believe this cool ink is available here, is not cheep but is worth the money I pay for it, still need to buy the rest of the tools and color, like every single cool thing in scrapbooking you have to have everything lol.
I got just 2 colors lettuce green and orange and I got gold to mix them with, I can't believe the final result is soo beautiful even my mom was bragging about the buttoms I made lol

Mini Vacation

Kriss and I went this weekend to Orotina for a mini vacation, it was so much fun, we took the new rode to Caldera so it took us 30 min to get there, it use to be almost 2 hours through the old rode, we stay at a little hotel called "Las Palmas" my parents recommend it to us since they stay there all the time, we arrive late on saturday since we went t Tati's bachelorette party early, but we still had time to enjoy the pool and do so shopping, I forgot to pack Kriss flip-flops, a tooth brush and the tooth paste, shampoo etc!! I always forget to pack something lol

On sunday we woke up early to enjoy the day, and it was HOT!!! I couldn't stay for long next to the pool it was extremely hot!

Then on Monday we came back home but first we went shopping!! It was a great day! I love this mini vacation with my sweetie

I took this pic just to make my brother mad!lol he stay home all weekend :P

these are my old slippers, my dear friend Maybell bought them for my birthday a long time ago, I love them deeply but they are now old, they are not comfortable anymore so I keep waiting and waiting to get new ones since these were hard to replace until today I found this:
thease are a newer punk version of my old slipper they even had a pierce nose!! they are awesome!! this ones Kriss bought them for me, I love this guy he saw them and say Look this are just like you!! all cute and punk lol!!

BTW the teriyaki chicken patties taste really good!! best experiment ever!! lol

29!

29 doesn't sound like a big number when is used in measurements, counting hours, days, or months but when is used in years is a lot specially since is MY age!!! lol

this year my birthday was a really special day, I got tons of phone calls from my family, my friends from all over the word left me messages on FB, and the "little surprise party" at Kriss grandma's house was the cherry on top, I can remember last time I had a birthday cake, with my family we always celebrate birthdays going to a nice restaurant for lunch or for dinner this year was not the exception, my family and I went to Fridays for lunch, as usual the food was great! but again no cake.

At night Kriss family was waiting for me with a big cake, it was just a small group of people celebrating my birthday but it meant to world to me, this kind of things are the ones that keeps me from killing Kriss most of the time ROTFLOL

Now I'm getting used to the idea I'm 29 and next year I'll start a new decade in my live, and for that occasion I want a BIG party!! lol

Yesterdays lunch was so great now I'm starting to think this bento idea was a complete success I love it, I love having real food for lunch and not having to order fast food, plus is so easy to make because the night before I make my food and give some to kriss, and he is eating healthier too.
