As I crawl through the virtual dumpster I call The Internet...

I used to collect marbles when I was 9. Back in 1968..you could find marbles at many stores. I fashioned a bag to hold them. I grabbed a needle and divined my creation. I hemmed up the top to thread through a shoe lace. It was over a foot long. When my family left for Brazil, I gave my marble playing buddy the entire bag. My dad teased me that we were going to the Amazon Jungle. We watched a Nat Geo show on TV. I cried a bit. When we landed in Rio De Janeiro...OMG such beauty. The girl from Ipanema was truly walking. I also discovered Heart Of Palm in a vinaigrette salad. It is calle Palmito!

Enough reflective thought.

I am proud to have found a most beautiful and symbolic marble circa 2008.

Papa's Marble.

It has meant literally the world and is an honored day of expression!

Last year, YouTube changed the criteria for uploads less than 3 minutes long. You have to tweak (hack, lol) the embed code or make it longer...I am unable to truly post it on my ancient Blogger blog. I am not patient enough to figure out the hack at this time.I am in a rehab hospital receiving inpatient Physical Therapy. Perhaps during my bone break recovery at home. I can aspire to be a simple hacker, lol.

I have remained mostly consistent since 2009ish

I will be outtie today, from my inpatient rehab. It has truly been miraculous how quickly I can get on the fractured thigh (femur). Most generally, securing the thigh with a rod and screws is a standard surgical procedure.

I am Titanium...

As I crawl into the Virtual Dumpster I call THE INTERNET...

The Statue of Liberty's French name is La Liberté éclairant le monde, which translates to "Liberty Enlightening the World" in English. The statue is also known as "Lady Liberty." Many replicas hold the torch.

In 2018, I designed my Peace Globe with Lady Liberty. As a second-generation American, I am enamored by everything "Libby" represents. I was excited that she was not only here in the U.S.

In Lviv, Ukraine there is a version of Liberty that I included in my current Peace Globe. In September, the historical district where the Ukrainian Libby sits was bombed. I became aware that an organization has made ethical guidelines to protect History.

UNESCO stands for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Unesco actually has listed World Heritage protected sites.

I googled to find out if the Ukrainian Libby survived. She did!

I am having a hard time with what was said at the Presidential Debate. It makes me sad.

My mom was a war child in WII whose family starved for 3 years. My Grandfather died of a starvation-related disease in a P.O.W. camp. My mom's oldest sister stayed in the city. She was killed by sniper fire. Others in the city were rallied to trucks under the guise of food only to see a machine gun. This is WAR. So a phone call?? A PHONE CALL.

Somewhere historically, a former President will speak his mind and advise his party of good ideas like let's say...how to stop a war in a day with a phone call...Couldn't hurt (anymore victims..)

I wish when it was said, someone could give him a phone...

Somebody offer their cell phone in the audience.

Maybe everybody just raise their cell phones and chant HERE CALL NOW PLEASE!

Post thought: I need to be more politically inclined and educated to be responsible for choosing a national leader. You should watch what you say, but what you say does not determine if you really do your job well...IDK.

So many words and so many promises. And I have obviously have a personal grudge on WAR. Many people are ruined and sadness abides. It's not a trivial topic.

Niagra Falls! Slowly I turn Democratic step by step inch by inch.

Conservative has an angry swag and not sure who is right or wrong...but two choices dominate.

I hear a man tell the World that he has a plan that would stop the wars inflicting Ukraine just with a phone call. It would never have happened on "his" watch. An American with access to his party minions in the Senate and Congress. He travels from State to State. As time passes, the body count rises and destruction continues. This is what he will do the day after IF elected.

To speak of holding solutions in one's pocket when the pictured Holy Sister is praying in a shelter?

For shame, Sir.

I find things...

Today one thought..

Flowers in a field grow lovely upon the planet.

Why is it with humans...these beautiful plots are at odds?

I believe privilege has just as many colors as this field. Each tries to portray greater importance or greater oppression and need. WHY?

Is not the road ahead you New Territory? Why are you looking back and dictating a woeful journey?

It is behind and you are moving forward. Don't use the pavement of old to make your roads. The roads ahead are fresh and New Territory. It has had many a bump and pothole...and the road ahead will require the same skills to surpass and leave those bumps behind!!!

Together on the soil called EARTH look how beautiful we are!!

I believe there is hope when you walk upon the Earth as if it were a Monet Garden. Enter the realm..smile and breath the air generated fragrantly by the fauna of beauty. (Some roads are stinky...rely on your instincts to stay clear and reflect the light diverse).

We are beautiful. Together as a garden.

Let's behave. Let's respect the garden.

Brave New Vocabulary

I read all this New World Vocabulary.. Apparently JK Rowling author of the Harry Potter series had a faux pas Trans Gender twitter tweet that set the community aflame. So Normative expression is a thing now and can be offensive in a literary fiction series..Like why didn't Harry kiss Malfoy?

Draco+Harry DeviantArt

Well the internet if you don't know already has photoshopped that already long ago so it can be framed and purchased by anyone who thinks that's hot. I guess now they need to include all other non-normative alternate realities to satisfy the non-normative reality of the world..

The following was written in some internet news magazine...using descriptive new language...

"It is written across the seven-volume series and its spinoffs, in the rigid heteronormative gender roles Rowling imposes on all her characters, the infamous lack of diversity, and the pathologizing of non-normative expressions of sexuality."

I would like to mention nobody was harmed in the making of this gif and it does not present any political stance and I would like to remain safe in my home.

As I crawled in The Virtual Dumpster I call The Internet...
For my offspring...
I posted on Blog4Peace day years ago and revealed a couple of times of my mother's family being refugees from WWII war torn Philippines. My mother died a year ago and I am the only one left to recant the story to my own progeny. I leave it imprinted on the world wide web.

My Mom Luise Rosalewski (Maiden Name)

My Grandfather's name was Albert Rosalewski. He was German/American working for a Stevadore company in Manila. This is a picture of pre-WWII mom with grandma and grandpa and aunt.

My mom is the youngest. Missing in the family portrait are two aunts, Eli and Katy took off to the US with Navy husbands. Eli returned with toddler Carol before the Japanese occupied the Philippines. Her return was explained that she did not care for the way Americans treated foreigners in Atlanta, but mostly because she was raised privileged and had no domestic servants in her home as she did in the Philippines.

When the family left Manila for the Interior before the Japanese occupation, Eli stayed in the city confident the Americans would step right in. A decision that ended in her death during the violent occupation of Japan in Manila. Her child had already been with the rest of the family in refuge in Pompanga (the interior to the NE of Manila). So seeing the location and distances from Pompanga and Manila, there must of been traffic to and fro later on in the occupation. My mother told of visiting Grandpa and trying to feed him something. He died of a starvation related disease.

Mr. Todd and Mr. Rodgers were on the cover of Life magazine (The San Tomas Two they were called) survivors Santo Tomas where my grandpa died

My mom's best friend was Evelyn Rodgers. I got to meet her in the San Francisco Bay area where my family relocated. They also knew Esther Todd. Those are their dads above. My grandpa was their friend.

After the war, when my family relocated, it was important to "network" with others. My mom and grandma would always approach any Filipino with a friendly family name sharing. I ended up with many aunts and uncles...even if they were not related.

Blanca and Nannette were students at UW Madison Wisconsin. I was 9 when I met them. Their family was related by marriage. My uncle Manoling (Manuel) had a sister named Nena who was Miss Philippines in the 1930 something who was also my godmother (Ninang). Blanca and Nannette babysat for my mom and we had Thanksgiving 1967 together. Also learned of Salmonella first hand. Their parents lived in the Philippines. Their father was a Judge in Quezon City. He knew the dictator and wife...They tell a story about a woman who was in The Palace entourage who worked with Dictator Marcos. At a dinner as guests to the dictator, she was wearing a lovely jeweled necklace. Imelda Marcos asked the woman if she could borrow it. You don't say no to the Dictator's wife. Months went by. The woman had encountered Imelda at another social gathering and made a mistake. She asked about her necklace. Her husband lost his job. I think they either said he is lucky to not have disappeared or did disappear.

I learned that in a dictatorship you must watch what you say or bad things happen to you.

KACHINA MAGIC

2021-10-21T14:36:00.001-05:00

As I crawl in The Virtual dumpster that is The Internet..

The spirit Kachina

Years had past

and then I saw

The Spirit Kachina

Upon sight

the word escapes

and I whisper...

K-A-C-H I-N-A

as if the wind

escapes with

an utterance

a corporeal rush

A-W-O-K-E

The kachina concept has three different aspects: the supernatural being, the kachina dancers, and kachina dolls (small dolls carved in the likeness of the kachina, that are given only to those who are, or will be responsible for the respectful care and well-being of the doll, such as a mother, wife, or sister).[from Wiki]

I live in South Texas on the coast.

The weather is getting to where you can go outside (to exercise) and actually not die of heat stroke. I'm starting to ride my bike to burn off some of the COVID emo weight gain.

Yes I started eating carbs. I didn't do much activity. I gained 20 lb since January 2020. And then recently gained five more.

My living situation is that my daughter and son-in-law are really good cooks.

I downloaded the MyFitnessPal and now I'm watching everything I eat and exercising.

The thing is...My Fitness Pal will give you a cap based on your goal calories , but if you add your exercise, it will add more to that cap of calories. I thought, " OH HELL YEAH eat more" I think this is how I gained 5 lb last week. One day I put in the 10 mile bike ride before dinner and it told me I could eat a whole bunch of stuff. So I've learned that fitness pal you need to edit in the exercise as you're going to bed. Water. Lots of water.when thinking of snack just think it is a call for water.

A perk about riding on the roads is finding stuff like you see above. Those are car-crushed metal pieces I found two together that were not the same and then later just recently found another one that matched the first one.

This was a call to creation. The first two, I found a year ago when I was actively artistic. I instantly thought Kachina.

I have been awoken back to blogging due to the fact that November 4th is coming around and Mimi Lenox actually she or her Facebook page reminded me of this. However, Mimi will travel throughout the blogosphere and have kind words to represent the peace that her movement inspired.

Awaiting me on my reading list is this post by a blog named Bohemian Valhalla. The first picture on her post was of a Kachina. All the things and all the pictures she had were so interesting. Her writing keeps you occupied throughout each frame of the wonderful Curios she encounters. I'm going to share the one that I saw with the link to her website.

[SOURCE- BOHEMIAN VALHALLA]

So this is amazing to me because it was last week I found on my bike the piece of car-crushed metal that called out Kachina (again) to my mind. Weirdly looking like the twin of one I had found a year ago.

I also saw a box full gourds (of all things) at a Karaoke place I went to same week.

I have not seen a Kachina or a gourd in a way long time.

I have meant to construct the pieces into what I see by using other media. I think I need a tin cutter and find some colorful craft beer cans or other reclaimable materials.

After Hurricane Hanna last year, I noticed so many palm branches on the ground. I just saw so many possibilities. Dead wind blown gifts to come alive in my mind.

I have since given away some of my best fish. The best thing about this is that I'll never run out of material to make it out of it's all free except for the paint and the glue and the twine... I just love getting in that mode and having the time to be in that mode.

So after exercise or maybe somewhere in between my exercise, I can stop by a park and read this website with heck of information on the Legends of the Kachina.

I would like to find a match for the pieces that I found and recreate them with a twist.

This song is a contemporary song entitled KACHINA.

It is also the first song of a playlist entitled K A C H I N A.

Blog4Peace 2021- Sifting The Amber Waves Of Grain

2021-10-03T03:00:00.001-05:00

As I crawled in The Virtual Dumpster that is The Internet...

It has become an issue. Intolerance of the past. Re-evaluating that of old. Digging deep and not so deep to see the imperfection of our past and removing History from our eyes.

It is like sifting the "amber waves of grain" with your index finger. Yes, there is so much dirt beneath the beauty.

The stories of our past have been written. They are progressions of our human journey. They are tracks upon the roadways of our lives. Life has etched the faces of mankind. Life goes on. We live and learn. Remember and go on.

Mark upon mark it declared I WAS HERE. I WAS HERE with all my human imperfections. I WAS HERE with all my attempts to figure it out. I WAS HERE.

The theme of this year's Peace day is "Courageous Peace in a Time of Great Change".

80 years ago on October 31st the Mount Rushmore Monument was completed. 4 days ago.

Taking a moment to remember in this blog post. Sometimes to move on you must continue to remind the Present of the Past and keep them in their place as you travel towards the FUTURE.

The two source links below are must reads. The second link Cabinet Magazine has information on the battle of the Indigenous tribes to regain their land,

In 2015, it was reported that money held as a reparation (refused in 1980) had grown with interest to 575 million. This money was refused by the Lakota then and still now. The Cabinet Magazine article depicts a time of violence hate and murder.

"Before it became known as Mount Rushmore, the Lakota called this granite formation Tunkasila Sakpe Paha, or Six Grandfathers Mountain. It was a place for prayer and devotion for the Native people of the Great Plains."

[source-NatGeo Mag]

Upon completion, there was a great "hoorah" for Mt.Rushmore Presidents Monument was called a symbol of freedom.

I darkened the contrast to see the lines better and find the faces of the grandfathers.

I believe I found them. How about you?

American presidents—Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln—carved into the Six Grandfathers between 1926 and 1941 by the sculptor Gutzon Borglum.

Matthew Buckingham’s image of what the Six Grandfathers,(renamed Mount Rushmore after New York Lawyer Charles Rushmore in 1885), might look like in the distant future was included in the issue as a poster. It can be purchased here.

[source]

I think of the picture by Matthew Buckingham. To the Lakota the hurt was carved upon their fathers in stone. The future picture, although it will take much time, will emerge new faces.

In this song, Aaaron Lewis sings of remembering.

"Look at my face. All the stories that it tells I can't erase. The road is long."

It has taken time for many faces to newly emerge.

May these faces be a collective example of Peace and Love.

Today I think of faces of old and faces of new and faces of the future. It is an energy in motion, It has properties that scientifically must allow to settle and balance and move forward.

As I crawl in the Virtual Dumpster that is The Internet...

Sometimes I like to think that talking to a perchance stranger is a random angel with a message. This year I've encountered a random stranger sitting at a karaoke bar. I must have said something about my wine and he continued and told me that he had a heart transplant 35 years ago. He's drinking 7UP (you know you don't have to always drink booze in a bar)....

Upon thinking...I was aware at near 10 yrs old in 1967 when I read the Life or Newsweek magazines.

My parents subscribed. It was big in the news everywhere.

So...first of all...at 10, I was surprised that a South African was white...And the pic was full of white people. Not lyin...I was 10.

So now after all this time I research.

ALMA'S Y2K STORY

{named changed due to statute limitation uncertainty}

Raised once-upon-a-time a seemingly White child of Middle Class with good financial habits type of privilege.... Alma... embraced the dazed and confused Counter Culture at age 15. Her romance with sweet Mary Jane led her to stronger drugs and she became a mid life failed adult and all the same ol' story obstacles, excuses, and laments.

True stoner, never claiming Weed as GATEWAY. It did provide access to desperate vain weight loss amphetamines then Meth resulting in a family collapse.

Alma never got arrested, even when witnessing the "Great White Hope" arrival of Meth manufacturing friends promising wealth and warning her about what happened to Scarface. You just can't tell a fat girl not to dive in a chemical promise of weight loss and wealth, though!

Addicted and one foot ahead of the Law, her addiction was too apparent. She still had dignity!

Crying at the bus station, she left the words to her children, "Always go with the heart", as she pounded her chest. She went on to say, "I love you, remember DRUGS did this. DRUGS ARE BAD." The kids went to the separated-from father in a neighboring state.

Happy Y2K (literally year 1999 end)!

After 3 months living in a shelter, then joining the Carnival, she ended up in a cheap studio apartment right on a street next to a park that accessed the Colorado River 12 miles from Mexico. She got a job!

One day, Alma came home from work and there was someone all wet peeking out the laundry room that held one washer and one dryer. She speaks in English and says, "Can I help you?" Her self reconstruction was trying to not do drugs and not be a bitch so she spoke an alternative to, " What the fuck are you up to?" She gets closer and sees a scared boy about 15-16 yrs old and then speaks in Spanish ,"Tienes Problema? Que esta aconteciendo?" Translating to , "Do you have a problem. What is happening?" He says, "Soy mojado" , which means I am wet. She can see he is dripping and says, "Claro que." He shakes his head looking around scared and says "No Yo soy MOJADO!"

"Oh shit", her mind thinks, "WET oh duh!" I guess that it is a correct term on the Border when you jump it by crossing the river. I thought it was a bigot term, but guess not if you are Hispanic. The part of the Colorado my friend Alma lived near was 11 miles from where it hits Mexico. This boy had swam upstream against the current for at least 11 miles. The flow is cold in the winter time.

She goes and gets a towel. She tells her neighbor, "Hey this kid (who was shivering) just swam 11 miles upstream from Mexico and says He is wet!" They all laugh. Another neighbor says they shouldn't help him and call the cops. Alma tells the cop caller neighbor that here at "Heartbreak Hotel" we all are up to something no good.

Alma let's the boy call his "uncle" who lived two blocks away. The man comes. He tells her that the boy does this all the time and then gets deported in a week. Alma admits that if she were young and healthy, she would be crazy like that on a weekend with friends!

A thought..

The laws have not just begun with some recent-tough-talking President who starts pointing out possible revival of the Eisenhower Era tactics...I speak always on HOW IS IT that Candidates come around like heroes with their old geezer "when elected" policies like the ideas were just born before election? Why not offer it anyway earlier in life? When I am fucking elected conditons? POLITICS >>>Oh it's just a Game Of Thrones-LIARS.

Seriously, Alma was on the edge of her American world feeling hollow due to her losing control of life and children due to drugs. She still smoked weed and was on and off doing speed. She did have a job making 600 weekly. Doing drugs had been to her a change from a happy hippy party to a white storm of tweeker madness of which she really hated. Later that year, she quit for good and moved North. Eventually she meets up with her kids. Sober for 16 yrs and a grandmother.

I asked Alma why she didn't call the cops? She said, "After being around so much failed attempts in life, how could I spoil the success of a fresh young boy?"

I had come across an audiobook of On The Road, by Jack Kerouac that narrated well for me to listen to without falling asleep. Unless the reader of the audiobook reads in dramatic tones...I WILL fall asleep

I read this book over the summer vacation in the late 70's. My father recommended it. The author of the book was from UC Berkeley. An English professor wrote the book in 1951. My father studied all the way to Doctorate circa the same time.

I then wondered if Earth Abides, by George R. Stewart (the book I had read that summer) was an audiobook.

Wow...It was discovery! Better than an audiobook! A radio series!

I am a self defined Apolitical Bitch. That does not mean I have no opinion. It is a passive aggressive way to be a hypocritical silent finger pointer that wears no party hat. Ai WeiWei bio-Get to know him

My #1 vote is their #8 It is called CORONATION.. The pose is graceful as the Great White Heron and as strong as a Martial Arts stance. The Artist Ai WeiWei is from China. Just two years prior (2018) to this striking picture, his art studio was demolished (unannounced) in Bejing {CLICK HERE}

If our planet has a soul, perhaps a wake up to all eyes on China in 2020 where the people live like secret battered wives and call the blow in freedom's face merely an accident or as Ai WeiWei's studio was referred to as a gentrification. In a generic labelling of Earthling...the house of China holds pretty much the most people. The most Earthlings have worn heavier crowns than The Corona.

My #2 choice is their #3 called Time by Garret Bradley

The look of LOVE

The Post gets a bit yellow sensationalist...but also has entertaining vivid articles like the old day magazines. (in Apolitical Bitch hypocrisy opinion.)

As I crawl in the Virtual Dumpster that IS the Internet...

(music below should autoplay. Some browsers don't support it. It is how my blog rolls)

In the beginning of the WTF'ery I watched the Today Show and they were talking to some dude in Italy. The reporter asked of the feelings in Italy and the man from Italy says "All the nana's are dying and the country is in Mourning!

I cried.

I AM A NANA BUT GO BY GRAMMA. I DON'T TRY TO ALTER THE NAME TO SOUND LESS OLD. I PUT IN THE FUCKING TIME. MY WHITE HAIR AND WRINKLES ARE SIGNS OF CHARACTER AND LIFE. BITCHES BE CALLING ME OLD..CAN FUCK OFF!

AND CORONA...SUCH A GREAT BEER WITH LIME AND SALT...

DON'T FUCK THAT UP!

At age 12 I visited my family in California with my parents. My Uncle Charlie would sit in front of that TV set watching the news all the time.

At age 14 I visited my family in California with my parents. My Uncle Charlie would sit in front of that TV set watching the news all the time>>>oh & he liked crackers with potted devils roast beef on them.

At age 20, I visited my family in California with my parents. My Uncle Charlie would sit in front of that TV set watching CSPAN all day. I jacked some of his crackers lol.

At age 32 I visited my blah blah blah same shit different year.

At age 39 visited my family in Cali... UNCLE CHARLIE LEFT THE HOUSE TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND DIED.

My soul is a speck of life in the whole of Earth's light..

I want it to shine as long as possible.

It cannot dim with the shadow of politics, negativity and conflict.

The Bible used the term GOOD NEWS.

But narrow is that road and many are the beliefs.

In the literal concept of GOOD (gee double OH dee)...

Make what GOOD we can in life

Squeeze all the juice from Life and drink up...Bitches!

And kill that nasty COVID critter DEAD DEAD DEAD!

As I crawl in the virtual dumpster that IS the internet...

I find things...

I put them here...

I have no filter.

This is Ghostemane.

This is his most recently released album. It is like Industrial Rap.

Unusual and unique.

The auto play below of Koko The Clown from Betty Boop is what drew me in.

This is a nice pick out of the Virtual Dumpster for me.

As I Crawl In The Virtual Dumpster That Is The Internet....

We fight for PEACE.
The struggle for Peace is a conundrum in life.

We can give the elements weight atomically...but can you put a weight stamp on our souls?

Nov. 5th will determine how we weigh as Americans.

A bit of rock and roll lyrics that fit the mode of the times.

Below is a time lapsed chronology of WAR

And then some cerebral punk rock fits another mode...

This is what a local treasure in the Coastal Bend Ty Dietz wrote of a friend....

He is on Amazon.

My 6 yr old grand daughter saw him play at a local restaurant and calls him Ky Beats.

My auntie never recovered mentally from the loss of my cousin in Nam.

Fighting for peace....WTF IDK

On and On The Fuckery!

When I crawled in the Virtual Dumpster I call The Internet

As the WTFuckery Pandemic continues....

much art and literature proves to be now relevant to realtime.

Medical thriller/horror genre is now defined by me as WTF'ery Clairvoyance?

Far less cryptic than Nostrodamus. Or any divine voodoo we need to dissect and

fight over WHO is right. Just fucking wild ass shit!

Movie released 11yrs ago.
Girl on right is holding paper towel roll.

ALL I KNOW IS WITH ALL THIS WTF'ERY.....

Why is THIS not happening? Imagine if they all just showed up at a Trump rally.
The ultimate WTF'ERY!!!

"WTF'ery Pandemic"

2020-09-05T08:46:00.000-05:00

As I crawl in The Virtual Dumpster that IS The Internet....

"WTF'ery Pandemic" is what I have labeled THESE TIMES. What the Fuckery..RIGHT?

So Alexa chose a My Soundtrack to compose for me...It started with Primus FRIZZLE FRY.
It should be on autoplay as you are here. It is how my blog rolls...musically acompanied!

Crawling the Net and discovery is one of the main reasons I started blogging. When I was recovering from an unusual car accident, I had lots of time to use the computer. I did not want to spam on Facebook or MySpace... I enjoyed the aspect of creating an Electronic Footprint. Blogger holds it for me.. if my family misses me...it will be here long after I go.

I have been adding wine to the grocery list. I bought a gallon of Carlo Rossi Sangria a week ago and got a hair up my ass and after drinking 2 more glasses...I tossed the rest of it down the drain. I think I was self medicating. It was like my WTF'ery sedative! Someone told me that they wondered why she
was drinking so much mixed drinks. She was thirsty (she said lol) and then started drinking water, instead. Ok...

[source]

This morning I woke up and was shaking from the a/c being at 71 degrees, but it made me wonder with all that wine drinking if I was having DT's. It made me laugh at myself.

I am in control. Amazingly healthy. Applying for college to study Art Studio. I also want/need help in digital art and production.

You can actually get a degree in Photoshop?Well I never ventured into Photoshop due to it having to be a monthly subscriber...but Adobe Art software is something I will want and add to my studies. I want to do plaster casting and mass produce unusual home plant container. Like Medusa heads and Egyptian chicks.

Oh shit gotta go to Etsy and check out 3D WALLPAPER MEDUSA omg!

TIM CHANEY BIRTHDAY DEDICATION-Meet us at the station!

2020-08-03T13:27:00.000-05:00

A respected blog friend named Tim Chaney has passed. I re-dedicate this post to him. See you at Terrapin Station. You can now kick it with Jerry!

Again I repost because I had Tim on my mind thinking August and Tim...I am a couple of days late...people in my life hold memory and connections in my mind. August and Tim...I felt you. Peace my Kindred blogger!

My bags are packed in my soul for the day I get on that train to Terrapin.

Google Image Search -
The Grateful Dead Art = About 1,180,000 results (0.37 seconds)
Grateful Dead Art = About 1,970,000 results (0.41 seconds)
Dead Head Art = About 15,900,000 results (0.56 seconds) not exclusively Grateful Dead
I tell you when the window appears on the seaches, there is a burst of color and beautiful psychellic art and hard to choose which to post!
Inspired by a blog I follow "Blast From The Past-Blowin' In The Wind" [link here]

I GIMP'd it with a sheet of
Orange Sunshine LSD with Tim Leary signature

This and the following

There is an art venue called "Blotter Art"
spawned of course from LSD art.
The source is marked on the pic.

I like how busy this is

You can take time

finding things.

Ticket and "Silky" for Jerry's Last Concert
I lived in Vegas then they were at
Sam Boyd that year. Didn't go.
Saw all the Dead Heads in town.

I went to see The Dead in 1978 in Madison, Wisconsin.

I always thought their music a bit mellow for the imagery of a skull and all.
I guess ya gotta be there to know it. Hearing it for the first time in a long time. Makes me feel young and strangely wanting a Suburbia Submarine Sandwich from a place I worked around that time frame. OH now typing it I am thinking of the Pepsi Pepsi Gyro Pepsi guys at the Gyro place I ate my first Gyro. Authentic Greek guys. On State Street in Madison, Wisconsin.

In 1977 ish actually owned a copy of Skeletons In The Closet and it was a special yellow vinyl edition. I liked the art is why I bought it.

I really admire how the Dead Heads followed the band.

The pictures are mostly from Wolfgang's Vault. These were printed as posters and playbills back in the day.

NEOWISE...meh!

NEOWISE stands for Near Earth Object Wide-Field Infrared Survey Explorer. It is named after the device used that sighted the comet for the first time.

How fucking boring is that?

I can't imagine the lack of romantic thought in these analytical scientists. Please! the universe is beautiful and speak of it with beautiful words!

I would of liked that they honored it with some SciFi pop culture. My own choice would of been Star Wars. I would of honored the lovely Carrie Fisher. The way she died. So sad that her mom died shortly after. The love of mom and daughter. Omg...what a way to go. And the fandom and the hard work it took to CGI her Leia persona after death! People who are critical of Disney and the Star Wars saga after Lucas Film can just FUCK OFF AND DIE.

RIP Leia and Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds.

I would of liked them to call it:

The Leia's Lament Comet
