<p><span class="caps">WEDNESDAY </span>- It&#8217;s another evening of great music with Eddy&#8217;s jam session. Guests artistes grace our stage @ Cafe for some sweet sounds. 9pm onwards @ Cafe. For some intellectual discourse and fact acquisition &#8211; join <a href="http://mim.io/139792" title="May's Blink Bl_nk" target="_blank">Blink Bl_nk</a> for this month&#8217;s session: A Black Jack Edition &#8211; classic grab bag this month, with talks on hardcore travel, culture difference and a media theorist take on fire safety. Syaheed will be on the decks and Isaac and/or Chew Lin will be on hand to provide the quiz questions and witty repartee. So please come join us @ Space from 7:30pm onwards</p>

<p><span class="caps">THURSDAY </span>- Quill Potter hosts the weekly Comedy Improv Night @ Space. It&#8217;s a mere $10 cover just to see if the wannabes on stage will tickle your funny bone &#8211; a night of possibilities &#8211; there are sure to be gems in the rough. Without a doubt, one of the more engaging diversion you&#8217;ll partake in.</p>

<p><span class="caps">FRIDAY </span>- It&#8217;s live jazz and with Grey Lyons leading his merry men of Darren Moore on drums and Chok Kerong keys for a snazzy night, enveloping your senses with sharps, flats and a tune or two. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. And we&#8217;re please to play it dirty with <a href="http://www.facebook.com/MugicSoundsystem" title="May Mugic" target="_blank"><span class="caps">MUGIC</span></a> @ Lounge from 9pm onwards &#8211; featuring Dang, Kentaro and Uly on deck.<br />
Head over to Piedra Negra for some South American vibes with Lime Events and some chill out energy on 1st flr while we kick it up a notch on the 2nd flr. 9pm onwards</p>

<p><span class="caps">SATURDAY </span>- It&#8217;s the sultry voice you hear clear across the night almost like wrapping yourself up in velvet in Autumn &#8211; a voice that warms and chills simultaneously, we&#8217;re pleased to have Alicia Pan on vox, Willy Gathright on bass, Aynsley Green on keyboards and Erik Hargrove on drums. 9:30pm @ Cafe. And we be ending the weekend with a bang with <span class="caps">COMM&#8217;UNION</span>:  the yummy icing of local DJs for a night dedicated to electronic music. 10 DJs, belonging to different crews gather for an evening that promises to be rich in groovy beat, full of melodies and spiced with subtle sounds. From deep house to techno to electro fidget to minimal and soul, we serve you a varied buffet, giving you the choice between two rooms to make your own musical menu. A calling for all music lovers. 9:30pm onwards @ Lounge and Space</p>

Featuring her Middle Eastern performance troupe, herself, percussionists &#8211; Bobby Singh &amp; Fuji Imaransan and Danny Koh &#8211; Magician Extraordinaire. <span class="caps">SGD</span> 55 includes a Middle Eastern Buffet Spread and an unveiling of Danny&#8217;s highlights for 2012. 8pm onwards @ Space</p>

<p><span class="caps">FRIDAY </span>- it&#8217;s the smooth chocolatey voice of Fendi hitting our airwaves @ Cafe from 9:30pm onwards. Pure soul. come. Norman and gang take it up several notches with SoulStrut @ Lounge with some bass and house. 9:30pm onwards</p>

And then it&#8217;s <span class="caps">OOTINI</span> Band featuring Boey Yinghao, Mariam John, Robin Ng and Wendy Phua @ <span class="caps">SPACE.</span><br />
Traipsing from flamenco, reggae, and tango to calypso, whilst conjuring odd-time rhythmic spells, Ootini is a spectacular gamble purveying world music with inflections of progressive rock. Citing diverse influences like Opeth, Nitin Sawhney, Rupa &amp; The April Fishes, Pat Metheny and Sara Tavares, Ootini&#8217;s music tips a nod to the intrepid listener with a discerning appetite for cultural explorations. A mere <span class="caps">SGD</span> 5 for cover.</p>

<p>And come <span class="caps">WEDNESDAY </span>- it&#8217;s Matrix Jam @ <span class="caps">LOUNGE </span>with invites to all musicians for jam session from 8pm onwards while Tropic Green &#8211; a 7 pc doing only original jazz compositions with Susan Harmer on lead performs at <span class="caps">SPACE.</span> The musicians bring the music to life with their individual interpretation and the result is music which delights both the public and jazz musicians alike. Tropic Green has been reviewed as &#8220;a captivating, intriguing amalgam of fresh ideas and jazz performances &#8230;&#8221;</p>

<p><span class="caps">THURSDAY </span>- new DJs arrive fresh @ Lounge with some chill out time for those prepping for the weekend. And it&#8217;s Comedy Improv Night, hosted by Quill Potter for all those with refreshing materials. <span class="caps">SGD</span> 10 for cover to <span class="caps">SPACE </span>from 7:30pm</p>

<p><span class="caps">FRIDAY </span>- It&#8217;s a swaparoo with Aya and on Friday, we have Alemay&#8217;s voice hitting our airwaves while Christy Smith entertains on bass and Mohammed Noor keeps the rhythm on drums. 9:30pm onwards. Good Times return on the 1st Friday of the month with, well, <span class="caps">GOOD TIMES</span>! 9:30pm onwards @ Lounge and donate generally for the artistes!</p>

He is recognized as one of Southeast Asia&#8217;s finest jazz talent, in demand across Australia and Asia for his skill as a pianist, arranger, musical director, performer and composer. So join him and friends from 9pm onwards. <br />
And if you&#8217;re looking for <span class="caps">ECLECTIC, </span>head on up to <span class="caps">SPACE </span>for <strong>The Blackberries</strong>. The 5-piece Rock/Pop band was formed in Singapore 3 years ago, they&#8217;re a veritable United Nations of musicians, featuring Shanghai&#8217;s answer to Dolores <span class="caps">O&#8217;R</span>iordan of The Cranberries on vocals Berry Ni, and four lucky lads who get to play along with her &#8211; True Brit Mike Sutcliffe on Drums, &#8216;Suff Effrican&#8217; Richard Kohler on Guitar &amp; Vocals, fellow Shanghainese Roger &#8220;Waters&#8221; He on Bass Guitar, and New Zealand&#8217;s 67th most famous export, Greg &#8220;Lord Saxmonster&#8221; Sullivan on Sax, Vocals and pretty much anything else he can get his hands on to play. They play an eclectic mix of spruced up 80&#8242;s, energetic nineties and modern-day classics, always looking out for those one of a kind &#8216;Oh Yeah!&#8217; tunes that are seldom heard but instantly recognized and loved; they also play a number of Berry &amp; Richard&#8217;s original songs. Together they&#8217;re the musical equivalent of spending an evening rummaging around a record store pulling out all your favourite tunes. </p>

1) Zai Kuning&#8217;s solo of vocals and flamenco guitar will bring a new perspective to musical art. Entry to <span class="caps">LOUNGE </span>only costs a mere <span class="caps">SGD</span> 10. <br />
As an artist, Zai Kuning employs a wide range of practices from video to poetry , music, theatre, dance, performance art, installation art, writings and photography.  Since 1989 Zai live among many other artist in Tang Da Wu premise which later called The Artist Village (TAV), artist colony discovered by Tang Da Wu who is the pioneer of introducing performance art as a an extension/form of expression among many visual artist. Being interested with physical culture related to rituals zap formed (1994) Metabolic Theatre Laboratory (MTL) during his residency with The Substation, Home for the Arts. SIngapore. <span class="caps">MTL </span>is a dance theatre group led by Zai as director, performer and trainer. Its main objective is to search for physical language and movement deeply rooted in the South East Asian rituals.  Since 2000 zai have extensively travel within Riau Archipelago insearch of the Orang Laut (Sea nomad who is one of the oldest inhabitant of Singapore). He completed his short film &#8220;RIAU&#8221; 2003. <span class="caps">RIAU </span>is now a permanent collection of Fukuoka Asian Art Museum and Singapore Art Museum.</p>

<p>2) And if you&#8217;re looking for some new sounds, check out <a href="http://www.terivercheung.com/?p=383" title="'NufSaid" target="_blank">&#8216;Nuf Said&#8217;</a> @ Space for their <span class="caps">ONE NIGHT ONLY </span>pit stop in Singapore. This original 6 pc funk/soul/jazz band flies in from New York City and has been performing creative original songs as well as fresh arrangements of soul and funk tunes. The band has developed its unique sound featuring strong soulful vocals combined with raw high energy, hiphop &amp; funk influenced groove and burning yet sophisticated jazz instrumental improvisation on stage.</p>

Given that it&#8217;s also the last Friday of the month, Pushin&#8217;On takes Lounge and Space by storm and unleash funk, soul, hip hop, electro mixes which not just give pleasure to the ears but will encourage those booty to do some hard shaken&#8217;. Entry fee- by donation and be generous please.</p>

<p><span class="caps">SATURDAY </span>- All hail <span class="caps">AYASCHOOL </span>- jazz made totally accessible. It&#8217;s sometimes really difficult to juggle mainstream and esoteric but we think that Ayaschool has managed to keep the spirit&#8230; introducing new beguiling sounds to the uninitiated whilst keeping things lively and interesting enough to the jaded. 9:30pm onwards @ Cafe. <span class="caps">CUE THE MUSIC </span>means the boys (and sometimes girls) from <span class="caps">CHROAM </span>takes over Lounge with some beat-sy electronic mixes. The feathered serpent deity from Mexico, Quetzalcoatl, is a ruler of the mythico-historic city of Tollan. Quetzalcoatl is also the name of the grafitti by <span class="caps">JABA </span>cloaking Piedra Negra&#8217;s wall. Expect <span class="caps">TAIMA, </span>our famous mexican &#8220;multi-instrumentalist&#8221;, outside with his guitars and flutes for some traditional mexican songs. DJ <span class="caps">GONZO,</span> DJ Shellsuit and Mr DJ <span class="caps">SANAKAN </span>rule Piedra 2 and you won&#8217;t stop dancing till we close!</p>
