Having worked closely with The Property Centre in Gloucester for more than 6 years, BML were finally commissioned to take on the tall task of developing a brand new website for the company and it’s two subsidiary brands.

The main driver behind the site was to make property searching more intuitive and engaging and also to encourage more registrations and valuations.

The old site was tired and uninspiring. The new site we have designed puts the user and social media at the fore, with a fully customisable property search function, user accounts, social sharing and a focus on data collection and customer retention.

Built on a custom PHP framework, the new CMS shares content on the companies two other websites – themortgagecentres.com (due for release shortly) and mpower.co.uk. This means that updating the content on one site automatically updates the relevant sections on the other two sites, saving a huge amount of administrative time.

The proof of the new site’s success can be measured in it’s visitor numbers – over 400 per day in the first month alone with each user staying on site for over 5 minutes on average. Now that is what is known in the trade as a seriously impressive launch!

BaxterBruce are a specialist provider of training and consultancy services to the financial and insurance industries.

BML Creative were approached by BaxterBruce to help design a brochure to promote their Solvency II training services.

The client had a great deal of dry material that lacked coherence when it came to putting it into a brochure format. BML provided the client with guidance and instruction on how to structure the content so that it flowed more logically and became a more digestable and enjoyable publication to read.

The new brochure includes aspirational climbing images which help to provide a dynamic edge, whilst the uncoated offset paper stock that the brochure was produced on, gives a highly tactile feel to the end product making it a more enjoyable read.

BML Creative were approached by Tarmac & Trail to help them develop a brand for their new high street shop.

The brief was a tricky one. The Tarmac and Trail shop caters for cars, bikes and motorcycles and the client wanted a modern, dynamic and mutlidimensional design that encompassed all three aspects of the business.

Our idea for this was to use products that were clearly related to each product group and bring them together as one motif. After much experimenting we came up with this design which uses the steering wheel of a car and a bicycle sprocket to create a bepoke motorcycle helmet.

The end results is a one-off design that will undoubtedly help the shop to stand out from its competitors on the high street.

BML were approached by up and coming singer/songwriter Kelli-Leigh to produce the artwork for her debut EP -
I Am Here.

Kelli is a hugely talented artist who also tours with Adele as one of her regular backing singers.

Kelli had some fantastic PR shots, but they all encompassed a variety of styles. We advised Kelli on the shots that we felt worked best with the music on the EP. We also wanted to bring the dynamic, edgy nature of her music through in the design, so we focused on bold, modern shapes that gave a real intensity to the layout.

As part of the project, we also developed a new identity for Kelli’s brand which really helped to improve her marketing image.

BML were approached by Tour de Force Productions based in Skipton, North Yorkshire to design a new logo for their start-up business.

The company specialises in events management for ethnic communities. Bringing in the best foreign musicians, singers, comedians, and performers to UK shores. The bold striking identity uses the idea of a spotlit stage and a microphone, that suggest performance without narrowing down the genre to any kind of specifc art form.

The design was produced in single colour, giving it high impact whilst offering substantial savings oin print costs for future marketing material.

To accompany the new logo we also designed a set of matching corporate stationery, including double sided letterheads and business cards, plus a compliment slip.

Following a successful pitch against some top regional design agencies, BML Creative were selected to design and produce a new prospectus for Gateways School in Harewood.

Gateways is one of the areas leading independent schools offering an exceptional education in glorious country surroundings. It was vital that the quality of their prospectus reflected the quality of the establishment. So, we set about creating a design centred around high-end materials and understated beauty.

The cover of the prospectus is created by using a clear foil, debossed into a Mirri Silk paper stock, creating a truly elegant front cover.

The interior of the prospectus is printed in 5 colours on a highly tactile Howard Smith Think4 uncoated stock. This was selected for its brilliant image quality and for the close colour match to the reverse of the Mirri cover. The design also features delicate translucent end papers which lead into the main prospectus content.
