“Ride ‘em don’t hide ‘em”

For RSM members and their friends

The ride begins wherever you and your Pre-1980 motorcycle are on the morning of June 21, 2014. Begin with enough time to arrive at 1227 Prescott Road, Manchester, Maine at 10am.

There, Priyadarshi George and Barbara will provide Coffee, Tea and Muffins. You can share old bike stories and your experience on keeping old bikes going. P. George can then guide the group along some lovely back roads to Farmington. (Some dirt roads may be included; knobbies will not be needed.)

We will arrive in Farmington for lunch (your own expense), where there are several restaurants to choose from. If it is a small group we may be able to get into one of P. George’s favorites, Soup for You Café. If there are more people or just different tastes, Farmington provides several options for lunch. George will have another route for return to Manchester if you like, or you can enjoy your own return route.

If you are not headed to Laconia and you have an old bike, e-mail P.George at priyadarshi@artsoflivinglearningcenter.com by June 18th so he can plan the amount of refreshments. Please include any dietary restrictions you may have.

Steve Garrett will be at Street Cycles at 8:45am to meet anyone that doesn't know how to get to the starting point.]]> Antique Motorcycle Ride

Those who attended the pizza/movie night at Pat's Pizza in March saw the beginnings of this effort. Our club has a long and rich history and I'm asking members who have digital files of club photos to send me your club photos to be included in this slideshow. I was amazed when I started going through some of the ones I found, but I know many of you probably have many more. Please e-mail your photos to vicepresident@bmwrsm.org and when I have the whole thing together I'll begin bringing it to our club activities for viewing and as a tool to recruit new members. I'm going and the member I went with last year has committed to go again.........anyone want to join us? This is one of the nicest events in the Northeast Region, you can camp onsite or hotel it right down the road. I have always camped, but this year I think I'm going to do The Seneca Lodge for a change and travel without all the camping gear. We'll ride over on Thursday, August 29 and stay at The Seneca Lodge, the Rally is about 2 miles up the road and opens on Friday morning. If you've never been, you should go.....it's the best and you'll be glad you did.
