How About Those Fuel Prices!!

Hello Boater Friends!

Summer is over, you have turned backed your clocks and fuel prices have come down!! How about that for timing! I guess we can't complain, and if you are going to boat in Florida this winter you are catching a break.

Those of you who are putting your boats away for the winter will no doubt keep your summer boating memories fresh in your mind. Those are much better thoughts than bail outs, elections, war and the like.

By the way, what were your best boating memories from the summer? I live on the West Coast of Florida and remember a great fireworks display on the 4th. We were cruising just outside the jetty at Venice, FL and the display was awesome. I also remember a hot day, but great trip to Aquapalooza at Cayo Costa! Fuel prices were high, but there was still lots of boating fun to be had.

I am from Maryland and spent many years boating on the Chesapeake so I hope to hear some "Bay Boaters' ring in with stories. How were the crabs? Did anyone cruise over to St. Michaels to the Crab Claw for a big feast?

Hello to all of our "Boater Friends"!

Thank you for visiting and we have been at work adding items to make our site more interesting and useful. We are making progress and will continue to improve as we go.

I have been searching to find the right picture to create a header for this site. Looking for a picture that just says at first glance "We Enjoy Boating" If you have any favorite pictures that you would like to submit we will be happy to consider them to become the background for the "Boater Friends" header. On this post we are going to take you back in time! Take notice of the Beautiful 1957 Chris Craft Capri. This boat is in extremely great shape and makes you stop and take a pause. Those days when these boats graced the water were no doubt a special time in our boating history! If anyone tuning in has any stories or comments please fell free to share them with us.

I would like to carry this thought one step further and invite you to watch the video at the bottom of this blog. You will see an outstanding video of the 1939 Trumpy "Eleanor" which was owned at one time by Howard Hughes. It is a special video and one you will certainly enjoy!!
