MEGAN DON was born in New Zealand, where she was nourished by the Maori culture and her connection with the land.
She spent many years traveling to pursue her interests in spirituality and mysticism, which took her to India and the Middle East where she studied the Hindu Bhakti and Islamic Sufi traditions.

Returning to Melbourne, Australia she sought to find the mystic element in Christianity. This led her to become deeply aligned with the Carmelite Order and it was here that she first encountered Teresa of Avila. Megan was 26 at this time. She also spent time with the Cistercians, the Franciscans and the Benedictines. Through meeting and being nourished by many advanced contemplative souls, Megan was given the foundation for her own unique spirituality to flourish.

Today, Megan is a Spiritual Director and Retreat Presenter and lectures and teaches workshops on the Mystical Pathway and the Divine Feminine. She has taught at Esalen Institute, California, Omega Institute, New York, and Kripalu Insititute, Massachusetts. She is also a frequent presenter at Unity and Episcopalian Churches in the United States. Megan also leads spiritual retreats and pilgrimages to sacred destinations in Europe.

Megan’s work is now also concentrating on the Celtic and Gnostic Traditions, the life and consciousness of Mary Magdalene, the Tree of Life and Kabbalah, and the Gnostic Gospels. She travels frequently to France and Ireland to further her explorations, which she looks forward to sharing.
