The Times Wine Critic, Jane MacQuitty wrote a good article on 28th March 2009: Spanish Wine: a Red and Wine Revolution talking about the great changes in the Spanish wine industry in the last years. I totally agree with Ms. MacQuitty. There have been many changes in the wine industry in Spain and now with marvelous wines and a very good relation quality/price, I think Spain has a privilege situation and our wines a great potential in many markets. But read this article and leave your comments.

I find this article because someone tell me that our red young wine Higueruela 07 were in a selection of wines mentioned in the article as examples of the new Spanish Wines (…lots of delightful, bold, earthy spice. So, too, has the unusual, inky, violet-scented alicante bouschet grape-based 2007 Higueruela Tinto from Bodegas Tintoralba in Almansa). Great!

La crítica de vinos de The Times, Jane MacQuitty, ha escrito el pasado 28 de marzo un interesante artículo titulado Spanish Wine: a Red and Wine Revolution, hablando sobre los grandes cambios que se han producido en la industria vinícola española en los últimos años. Estoy totalmente de acuerdo con lo que comenta Ms. MacQuitty. Ha habido muchos cambios y ahora con maravillosos vinos y una muy buena relación calidad/precio, pienso que España tiene una situación privilegiada y nuestros vinos y gran potencial en muchos mercados. Pero lee tu mismo el artículo (en inglés) o la reseña en español que se encuentra en la página de ICEX y deja tus comentarios.

Encontré este artículo porque alguien me comentó que nuestro vino tinto joven Higueruela 07 aparecía en la selección de vinos mencionados en el artículo como ejemplos de los nuevos Vinos Españoles (”…lots of delightful, bold, earthy spice. So, too, has the unusual, inky, violet-scented alicante bouschet grape-based 2007 Higueruela Tinto from Bodegas Tintoralba in Almansa”). ¡Genial!

Everybody talks about an uncertainty period, a year to forget.

For me, 2009 is not going to be the best year but I think there are going to be also good opportunities and in fact at this moment we have some interesting proposals.

It is a year to work hard, think how to make things different, take care of every single detail and of course to improve the relationship with the customers.

Ha empezado el año 2009. Todo el mundo habla de un año de incertidumbre, de un año para olvidar.

Para mi, 2009 no va a ser el mejor año pero pienso que se van a dar buenas oportunidades y de hecho en este momento ya contamos con propuestas interesantes en la bodega.

Es un año para trabajar dura, pensar como hacer las cosas diferentes, cuidar cada pequeño detalle y por su puesto mejorar la relación con los clientes.

PRIMER, como su nombre indica, es el primer evento donde se pueden catar los primeros vinos de la cosecha. Nacio con la filosofía de potenciar los vinos de Maceración Carbónica, y ya en su XI edición se ha convertido en un clásico de los eventos enológicos de nuestro país.

Esperado tanto por aficionados como  profesionales es siempre una interesante muestra de lo que nos depararán los nuevos vinos del 2008 y un marco inigualable para probar la intensidad de aromas y sabores que nos deparan los vinos de Maceración Carbónica.
