I'll cover the basics of this amazing device first and then go into a little more detail.

What is a NSD Powerball?
Definition: NSD Powerball is a finely engineered and precision crafted gyro consisting of a rapidly spinning rotor enclosed in a solid [hand held] outer sphere. Bascially it is a gyroscope. It helps with sports and fitness especially carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, tendonitis, wrist pain and grip strength!

How does it work?
You set this rotor in motion using a cord or your finger and build its speed by subtle rotation of the wrist. It contains no motor or no batteries. All of the energy comes from you and the stronger you are, the faster you will be able to make your NSD Powerball spin.

What are the benefits of the Powerball? It is totally non-impact at low speeds and medically recommended, NSD Powerball is a masterful creator of soothing, therapeutic resistance with which to rehabilitate RSI & Carpal Tunnel conditions or strengthen broken bones. Non-impact at low speeds and medically recommended, NSD Powerball is a masterful creator of soothing, therapeutic resistance with which to rehabilitate RSI & Carpal Tunnel conditions or strengthen broken bones. At higher speeds, the pulverising forces building from within its core are key to a powerful muscle building process in the forearms, triceps, biceps and shoulders, making it an ideal training product for all sports enthusiasts and body builders alike.

I've been using this device for about a month and LOVE it. I have carpal tunnel, tennis elbow and wrist pain from all my years as a bodybuilder and power lifter. I've been trying everything under the sun to help with the pain I have daily. Nothing has came close to pain relief... but then came the Powerball!

At first the ball was a tad difficult for me to get going and kinda hurt my elbows a bit. It started "working" the muscles in my elbows in a way they really needed to be, it hurt at first but the more I used the NSD Powerball the stronger my wrists, elbows and forearms became and the pain has been dramatically reduced!

Be sure to "LIKE" them on Facebook. Ask for Scott, tell him you saw the NSD Powerball here on my blog. Bulk orders have a nice discount as well.

Where do I buy one?

Go to NSD Powerball

I want to thank NSD for allowing me to try this device. I will continue to use it daily! I promise you that if you give it at least a week you will love it! It does exactly as it claims.

There's a lot to say about this product. It is one of my favorite supplements and I use it daily. It is creatine monohydrate. A joint Support, Insulin, and Muscle Volumizing Complex making it perfect for use pre, during or post workout. No loading phase is required thanks to its advanced 3-Energy Creatine Complex featuring Di-Creatine Malate which is responsible for minimizing water retention and increasing energy production from the powerhouse centers of your muscle cells (the mitochondria). Continuous cycling of Phosflex

For regular use, mix 1 scoop (45g) mixed with 8 oz. of water or more based on your desired preference for consistency. Consume pre, during, or post-workout on training days. Phosflex can also be taken within 1 hour post-exercise to restore glycogen levels when combined with Androrush (pre-workout), and Recelerator (post-workout) for maximum gains in performance, size and recovery.

Connective tissue connects your muscles to your bones and bears most of the load as you lift weights in the gym. Whereas most products focus only on muscle, PHOSFLEX promotes the recovery of muscle and connective tissue in hard-training athletes, beginner through advanced. If you feel stiff and sore following heavy workouts, then use this formula made by the scientist at Betancourt.

Creatine Monohydrate is the most studied and proven form of creatine. It supports ATP re-synthesis by increasing muscle levels of phosphocreatine. The addition of di-creatine malate and creatine alpha-ketoglutarate to PHOSFLEX takes ATP re-synthesis to another level three levels, in fact. While creatine increases muscle phosphocreatine levels, malate and alpha-ketoglutarate support the function of the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, a metabolic pathway involved in the re-synthesis of ATP.

Phosflex has proven to be one of the very best Creatine products on the market today, and the amazing flavor is a big plus! My favorite is Fruit Punch. I have tried the Watermelon and its very good as well. My lifts in the gym have improved nicely and I'm not as sore as I normally am a few days after my workouts. My training can often be intense, but PHOSFLEX keeps me going!

Q: What is Xtend?
A: Xtend is the ultimate, sugar-free, BCAA-containing drink mix to be consumed during exercise. Whether you're a physique athlete, strongman, powerlifter, traditional athlete (e.g., football, basketball, baseball, soccer, etc), endurance competitor, or just looking to significantly change your body composition through resistance training and nutrition, Xtend is ideally formulated to maximize training intensity and support your goals. Xtend was the first and has become the most well-recognized and used intra-workout catalyst product because it not only works... but it tastes great too!

Xtend contains an incredible:

•7000 mg of BCAAs in an ideal 2:1:1 ratio of Leucine:Isoleucine:Valine
•3500 mg of Leucine
•2500 mg of Glutamine
•1000 mg of Citrulline Malate
•1171 mg of Electrolytes
•640 mcg of Vitamin B6
•And, ZERO Carbohydrates or Sugar

Xtend was recently reformulated to dramatically improve taste and ingredient solubility - Xtend is now spoon-mixible - and to provide added functionality for workouts or events under the most grueling of conditions. Xtend is available in 6 mouth-watering, refreshing fruit flavors to make every workout an incredible one.

Q: When's the best time to consume Xtend?
A: Two university studies suggest that Xtend is significantly effective at increasing muscle mass and strength, and reducing body fat when consumed during exercise or immediately prior to and after training.* It's recommended that you begin consuming Xtend immediately prior to, and continue sipping on Xtend throughout your training or competition. Many users also report significantly improved gains when Xtend is consumed immediately upon waking-up in the morning and/or sipping on Xtend throughout the day.

Q: How much Xtend should I consume for it to be most effective?
A: For best mixing results and taste, pour 8 fluid ounces of filtered water into a shaker cup. Add 1 scoop of Xtend. Cover or close the shaker cup. Swirl the shaker to create a vortex effect and draw the Xtend powder into solution. Then, once the Xtend powder has fallen into solution, shake vigorously for about 25 shakes. Enjoy! For endurance athletes that may add Xtend to their hydration pack, it is recommended that Xtend be mixed in a shaker cup or pitcher and then poured into the hydration pack (as opposed to mixing directly within the hydration pack, as doing so may cause the hydration tubing to become blocked). NOTE: If you find that some of the BCAA material settles at the bottom of the shaker cup, you may not have used the correct dilution ratio of 1 scoop of Xtend per 8 fluid ounce of water.

DOSING CHART
There is so much to say about this product that I do not know where to start! This is a product that stands in it's own category. ALONE. There are a ton of pre-workout drinks on the market and as we all know some are great and some are just plain CRAP. Then there is CRAZE. By far the best pre workout drink I have ever tried. Now, I am a huge fan of another pre workout drink but I am always 100% honest in my reviews and have to say, as far as effectiveness, you can not beat CRAZE.

The energy, drive and focus are just above the rest. No jitters, no caffeine high and no crash. The mental focus of this product is the best part. You mentally are more into your workouts, whats going on and nothing can break your concentration!! Its you and the weights doing work!

The flavor is grape and pretty darn good in my opinion. Yes, I have had better tasting but not better effectiveness. This product has delivered 100% of what it claims and honestly I have only seen 1 less that great review. It has a rating of 9.5 out of 10 on Bodybuilding.com and 124 reviews and growing daily.

So, if you're looking for a kick ass product that will give you the best workout you've ever had then look no further than CRAZE.

*What is it?
The HRT stack is a combination of 4 top quality supplements that will fuel your workout like nothing else!

*What's in it?

Animal Flex

Like other Animal supplements, is complete and comprehensive. Each pack of Animal Flex consists of several key protective complexes: (1) a joint construction complex to help repair connective tissue; (2) a lubrication compound to help cushion the joints from lifting; (3) a support complex to help promote recovery; and (4) an essential vitamin/mineral blend to underscore optimal joint health.

Universal Animal Pak

Since August 8, 1983, Animal Pak has been helping competitive bodybuilders get the most out of their freakish training routines by providing all the nutrition they need, plus some they didn't know they needed. For 27 straight years, people like you have made Animal Pak the #1 selling training "pack" in the world. In fact, more competitive bodybuilders have cut their teeth on the Animal Pak than any other bodybuilding supplement in history. Why? Simple. Animal Pak gets the job done. It works. First time.* Every time. Animal Pak has stood the test of time.

Universal Animal Rage

Animal Rage. As a hardcore trainer, you need to take advantage of each and every workout. You don't have time for crappy, half-assed workouts. If you're half-assing it in the gym, you're half-assing your training and that ain't getting you closer to your physique goals. And it doesn't matter how great your diet is because to put first things first, business needs to get done in the gym. If you want to progress in this game, every rep counts. Every set counts. Every workout counts. The most hard-training, hardcore, elite bodybuilders demand optimum performance from every training session. To get the most out of the workout, one must tap into their inner rage.

Universal Creatine

There's bad creatine and good Creatine. Then there's great Creatine. What's the difference? Manufacturing quality and form. The only clinically surmised form is Creatine Monohydrate Powder. The best creatine monohydrate is manufactured in Germany. Our creatine monohydrate powder is a German creatine that's so pure, it's patented. It's one of the finest in the world. ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is the energy source for all muscular contractions.

*Is there a weight lifting routine I can use with this stack?

You can use any routine you like really, but why now the HRT routine itself? I am currently using the HRT program myself and I am getting the best gains I have ever had! I am hooked on this style of training. Very effective and a major butt kicker! So, if you want to go to the next level of training then try the HRT Routine today!
It's called The Super RAM. The Super Ram is a training device for the bench that helps protect the shoulders and aids in support of the bench press movement. This was my very first time ever using such a product so I was a bit nervous but was I ever impressed!

At my last meet I RAW bench pressed 355lbs. I then took about 2 weeks off then began training again. I did a few warm up sets then started going heavy. I put the RAM on and got 365lbs EASY. Here's the video:

After this set I felt really strong and confident so I raised the weight to 385lbs. I have never benched 385lbs before in my life. Here' the video

As you can see the weight went right up! The Super RAM is an amazing tool and I'm glad i have one. I will continue to use it and better my bench. Thank you to Anderson Powerlifting for sending me the Super RAM. Please be sure to go by their site and check out all the items they have. You cant beat their prices and their customer service is top notch!

What makes The Super Ram unique?

•One piece chest construction - this is not simply two knee wraps sewn together to form a chest panel. We start off with a 9” (23cm) wide elastic panel created specifically for Titan, specifically for this type application. We then fold and shape the panel for each specific size to create a solid one piece energy storage system unique to The Ram and the Super Ram.

•Made in the USA - constructed in the USA with American made raw materials. This means higher quality, better performance and better durability.

•Heavy duty construction – built to perform, built to last. The construction is the heaviest on the market.

•90° hemispherical sleeve design - exactly mimics the bench shirt design created and introduced by Titan. This allows:

◦lifters to benefit from effective assistance when training shirtless as the movement mimics the actual bench groove

◦geared lifters to benefit from assistance training knowing that because the design is the same, there will be a direct translation to shirted benching.

Who should use what?

•The Ram – designed for single ply lifters

•Super Ram – a much heavier version of the Ram. This is intended for lifters in unlimited, multi-ply federations

WHAT DOES SUPERPUMP MAX DO?

•Increases Endurance Capacity

•Fights Muscle Soreness and Fatigue

Directions For SuperPump MAX:

As a dietary supplement, take 1-3 scoops with 8-24 oz. of cold water or juice (8 oz. of fluid per scoop) 30-40 minutes prior to training.

First, let me explain what MYO-T12 is and what it does.

What is Myostatin?

Myostatin is a protein naturally produced in your body that increases as you age. Myostatin limits muscle growth. Reducing Myostatin levels helps build lean muscle mass and dramatically improves workout results. MYO-T12 is the World's Only Clinically Validated Myostatin Inhibitor.

What does MYO-T12 do?

*Preserves and Build Lean Muscle Mass
*Increase Strength and Endurance
*Enhance Workout and Fitness Results
*Accelerate Recovery Time

When I got MYO-T12 30 days ago I couldn't wait to see and feel the results it claimed to offer. I admit I was skeptical at first, as I am with a lot of products out there, but MYO-T12 soon changed my skepticism. I could actually "feel" the product working with 24hrs. I felt more youthful, energetic and had a pep in my step again. Within a few days I noticed my strength levels increasing, my muscle mass was improving and body fat was coming off nicely.

I wanted to try this product as I prepared for my next bench press competition, to see if it would be a worthwhile asset or a waste of time. Well, I am VERY happy to report it proved to be a very vital product for me! My last competition was in June 2011 and I maxed out at 335lbs on my RAW bench. I am excited to report that using MYO-T12 I am now able to rep that same weight 6 times!! Yes, MYO-T12 does work!!

I have tried several of the flavors Big Blend comes in, but my new love is the Chocolate Latte!! It mixes smoothly and no clumps. The flavor is second to none! By far the best whey protein I have ever tried.

•Multi-Species Proteins:

Big Blend prepares your stretched and strained muscle fibers for an "anabolic storm" by feeding them precision-processed proteins from Casein, Milk, Brown Rice and Whey.

•Amino Acid Derivatives:

Amino acid derivatives like Nitrated BCAAs, N-Acetyl l-Phenylalanine, Glutamine Ethyl Ester HCl and L-Leucine Alpha-Ketoglutarate offer unique pharmacokinetic properties not available from food.

•Digestive Stimulator's:

Low-calorie, low-glycemic brown rice bran, carbohydrate and enzymes stimulate your digestive tract and help optimize the anabolic efficiency of Big Blend's many proteins and amino acids.

Calories

120

Serving size: 1 scoop
Calories per serving: 120
Fat: 2
Carbs: 3
Pro: 22

Big Blend is the very best Whey protein on the market in my opinion. You just cant beat the quality, ingredients, flavor and price.
Ive trained for all of these but find Power Lifting to be my thing lately. Its a lot of work, heavy weight but totally worth all the sweat, blood and sore muscles. I recently entered a bench press meet in which I placed 1st in my age/weight class. I was very excited to get the gold medal! It made all the hard work worth it. Well, I was hooked and decided to train for another meet that is coming up October 22nd here locally. My goal is to place 1st again of course but I really want to beat what I maxed with last time. I had 3 attempts at bench and all 3 lifts were good and I was able to max out with 335lbs on my 3rd attempt. Now the time has come to beat that number and go on to hopefully beating the RAW bench press record which is currently 425lbs. As you can see I have a ways to go but I have until I turn 45 to beat that number. Unless someone beats me to it! I compete in a great organization called the USPA. A great group of people and basically everyone is family.

The USPA is responsible for sanctioning local and regional events where powerlifters can compete in hopes of qualifying for the national level events. The USPA sanctions the National Powerlifting Championship, National Benchpress Championship, and National Deadlift Championship in all age groups, giving athletes a chance to see how they fare against competitors across the country. Top competitors are selected by the USPA to compete in World championships- the World Men's and Women's Powerlifting Championships comprised of the Open, Junior/Teenage and Master Divisions and the World Bench Press Championships, and World Deadlift Championships comprised of the Open, Junior/Teenage and Master Divisions.

The USPA allows raw, single ply, and multiply gear and requires lifters to walk their squats out of the rack for raw and single ply. There is a USPA National Power lifting Championship, National Bench press Championship, and National Dead lift Championship. There are also State, American, and World records.

The USPA has many great athletes, some of the worlds finest lifters compete in this organization. Lifters such as:

                                                                             Al Caslow
Protein Crepes!! There are many versions of crepes you can make so there will be more videos!
Muscle Egg egg whites are pasteurized liquid egg whites and are an excellent source of protein for athletes and anyone looking to add more protein to their diet. A drinkable egg white that can be used in cooking or flavored and used as a protein drink. Ive made many protein shakes this way and its phenomenal! 8oz of Muscle Egg egg whites has - 26g of protein, 4g carbs, 0 fats and there's 16 servings per gallon.

So, who is Muscle Egg egg whites? "Muscle Egg is a Family owned enterprise. We are a state of the art egg processing facility that has been providing the highest quality eggs and egg products for over 50 years. Muscle Egg Liquid Egg Whites are produced in a USDA compliant facility with state of the art equipment. This ensures the safest, highest quality liquid egg whites possible. Our egg whites are salmonella, listeria and avidin free. Avidin, found in raw eggs, affects B vitamin biotin, stops it being absorbed, and causes problems with fatty acid synthesis and blood sugar levels. The pasteurising process for the liquid egg whites removes the avidin, and any salmonella or listeria, but the egg whites remain liquid, ready for cooking or immediate consumption."

Cucumber contains a high sulphur and silcon content. These minerals work to stimulate the kidneys to wash out uric acid, which is a waste product. With this uric acid being washed out, it stimulates the removal of fat, and loosens the fat from the cells.

Lemons

Lemons have high levels of citric acid, citric acid is an important component of the Citric Acid Cycle, during which citric acid is involved in the breakdown of fats--as well as carbohydrates and proteins--into carbon dioxide and water.

While a balanced, low-calorie diet is the best way to lose weight, certain food pairings can supercharge your metabolism and may help you burn fat. Lemon juice and cucumbers is one such combination -- and there are other food combos that can also act as fat burners. Different foods stimulate the body's fat-burning mechanisms in different ways, so combining the right foods can elevate fat burning.

Lemon Juice & Cucumbers

Cucumbers are high in sulphur and silicon, two trace minerals that may help the body burn fat. And because cucumbers are high in water, they prevent bloating by acting as diuretics. It may sound counter-intuitive, but foods with high water content prevent water retention and bloating that can make it appear that you have a big belly. Adding a squeeze of lemon juice to a cucumber salad or plate of sliced cucumbers can stoke your body's fat-burning furnace. Lemons are purported to increase metabolism, which generates heat in the body. As your body heats up, calories and fat dissolve. Plus, lemons are highly acidic. Acidic foods may aid fat breakdown.

The carbonated drinks industry is one of the biggest income generating businesses in the world today. People are consuming huge amounts of carbonated soft drinks to quench their thirst. There are many brands of soft drinks in the market and Coca-Cola is one of them.

Coca-Cola is the leading brand of carbonated soft drinks that are sold in restaurants, stores, and vending machines all over the world. It is most popularly known as Coke, a refreshing drink made from a concentrate combined with filtered water and sweeteners.

The original flavor of Coke is the regular Coke but in time, the company has developed other flavored drinks like Sprite and Royal. Today, Coke comes in several flavors, Coca-Cola Cherry, Coca-Cola Vanilla, Caffeine-Free Coca-Cola, and Diet Coke, among others.

Regular and Diet Coke have the same ingredients save for the type of sweeteners used in their production. This difference came about as the result of the demand for a soft drink that is less fattening and which can be consumed by people with diabetes.

Regular Coke is sweetened with sugar made from high fructose corn syrup which is high in calories and can spike insulin. Diet Coke on the other hand is sweetened with artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, a synthetic sweetener that has lesser calories.

We grew up with Regular Coke, in fact, it is probably the first soft drink we have tasted and its taste is very distinct and satisfying. But then, a can of Regular Coke contains approximately 138 calories so consuming it would add up to your weight. It tastes sweeter too because of its sugar content.

There are concerns that the synthetic sweeteners that are being used in Diet Coke are not safe and can in fact cause some serious illnesses. These chemicals are said to be harmful to people but these concerns are still subject to more scientific and medical studies.

Summary

1. Regular Coke is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup while Diet Coke is sweetened with artificial sweeteners.
2. Regular Coke contains more calories while Diet Coke contains less.
3. Regular Coke has a stronger taste while Diet Coke is bland.
4. Regular Coke is sweet because of its fructose content while Diet Coke is less sweet because it has no sugar.
5. Regular Coke is suited for those who are not watching their weights while Diet Coke is suited for those who are wary of gaining additional weight.
After reading about them and what they are designed to do, I felt they would be very beneficial to me and my workouts. They are made to help strengthen the grip. Most people do not realize the importance of a strong grip when they're training. A weak grip leads to a weak lift.

These grips force your forearms and grip to actually work harder. The grips are made with a slit down the middle so you can clip them on any barbell or dumbbell or any machine you may use. The slit also forces you to grab firmly and hold it shut so the barbell/dumbbell you're using doesn't slide out. There are other forms of this grip but they clip on and you don't have to hold them tightly like you do with Grip4orce grips. To me, that takes away from the purpose of the grips. Why have a grip device if it doesn't force you to GRIP the grip?

So, I tried them out for a while and was really surprised at how they worked. They really made my forearms do their job. My forearms were on fire! Now, as with any product there is always a pro and a con. Here are my thoughts on these grips.

*Very tough and durable.
*Fit perfectly in my hand and on the bar.
*No slippage or sliding out of my hands or the bar.
*Made to last a very long time so my investment is totally worth it.
*Forearms were sore for a while from having to "work".
*The amount of weight I normally use was cut way back, almost in half.
*Increased my wrist stability.
*Cut ALL the pain out of my arms doing bicep curls (bicep injury a few years back is aggravated by curls but not when i use the grips)

Here are a few videos of me using the Grip4orce grips.
Big Blend by Betancourt Nutrition. I have tried White Chocolate and Vanilla Cappuccino. Both are amazing but I have to say Vanilla Cappuccino was my favorite.

<img 60="" alt="" betancourt="" big="" blend,="" border="0" cappuccino,="" nutrition="" servings??="" src="http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/bcour/images/big_blend_450_white.jpeg" vanilla="" />

If you're looking to get bigger with the best, then look no further than the inside of this bottle. Each serving of new Big Blend contains a blend of refined proteins and amino acid derivatives from a mind-blowing 22 different sources, all fortified by a low-calorie, low-glycemic infrastructure of brown rice bran, proteolytic enzymes and carbohydrate. With each ingredient having several potential mechanisms of action, Big Blend is capable of supporting a diverse array of anabolic behaviors once it gets inside your body. The muscle-building possibilities are virtually endless. Importantly, Big Blend supports protein synthesis in the whole body --muscle as well as non-muscle tissues. And it tastes as big as it acts!

Flavor: 9.5
Mix ability: 10
Profile: 10
I am a bodybuilder, so lifting heavy weights is required for optimum growth. Versa Gripps allow me to lift more weight with better form and zero pain than ever before and I have noticed amazing pumps in the muscles I am working.

The very first time I used Versa Gripps I was sold on them instantly! Versa Gripps are comfortable, secure, and allow me to lift pain free. Something no other lifting strap has done for me. They are very easy to use, no delays in training trying to wrap them around the bar!

If you haven't tried them, you should go to their web site and order a pair today! www.versagripps.com
When I ask myself that question the first answer that comes to my mind is a man that lifts some seriously heavy weight. An extremely strong person that has a deep desire to be the best, the strongest and the most respected lifter not only at the power meet he is competing in but at all times.

I have had the pleasure of becoming good friends with such a man. This young man has really set himself apart from the average, the normal and the mundane. This young man is one of the strongest men i have ever met and his desire to excel is second to none. He is a true motivation and has always been a guy that is more than willing to help anyone at anytime. I would like you to meet Daniel Conner!

Matthew:

Daniel, I really appreciate you taking the time to sit down with me and do this interview my friend.

Daniel:

Thanks for having me, the pleasure is all mine.

Matthew:

Tell us a little about who you are Daniel, where you're from, what you do and how you got into power lifting.

Daniel:

Well lets see I am a 36 year old Husband , married to my best friend Katrina " Bubba" Conner , father of 3 kids, Amber 15 , Brittany 12, and John 9. I was born and live in Decatur, Illinois and well perhaps one day I'll leave , but till then its home. I got involved with power lifting back in 2004 when I entered my first bench competition , it was a move made after I competed in strongman.

Matthew:

Were you always a strong guy? Did you play sports as a kid?

Daniel:

I started lifting weights at the age of 18 after laying on a bench at a friends house and benching 215 for 2 reps, this with no training and a body weight of around 155#. I was never involved with any sports as a kid as I was always the real quiet type in school ( NERD) and always kept to myself at home. I got involved with martial arts - Tae Kwon Do at a very young age ,

But then came along the teen years and it was all about girls and music. I was always really good at wrestling in middle school and even the biggest kids in my class couldn't beat me , however I only wrestled when I had to . i never joined the team or anything just during P.E. and that's because we had to . I hated being singled out as I was so shy and nervous and was so skinny and small and nerdy I was made fun of allot. Hence why I was so good on the mat, it was my chance at revenge on those who laughed or made fun of me without getting into trouble.

Matthew:

What are some of your other interests and hobbies?

Daniel:

Well weightlifting pretty much takes up most of my time , however I have been training again in MMA which is something I used to do back in 1995-1998 . I had my first fight in 1996 in Kankakee, Il , I used to fight before everyone claimed to be an MMA fighter . So all my hobbies involve physical activity and i love every minute of it. I am returning to the ring in the Summer of 2011 at 205# and well when I left the sport I was 6-0 in mma and 11-0-1 in Submission grappling.

Matthew:

How much food do you eat a day, calorie wise? the amount of weight you lift must require a ton of food?

Daniel:

Believe it or not there are days that go by I barely eat at all . When training for a power meet I eat even less which is stupid but somehow I manage to keep my strength levels up. When I am training MMA I eat allot more as the weightlifting and MAM take their toll and then I eat around 4000 calories daily.

Matthew:

Tell us about your training, what is your main goal right now? What are some of your Power Lifting accomplishments?

Daniel:

With my training most who see or read about the way I train would call it insane and say I am over trained. Through the years I have followed every routine that the magazines pour out for us readers to absorb and have some sort of hope that the newest one will work. Well after years of training and never seeing results , I found West side Barbell back in 2002 and started training that style will give you one heck of a strength base, but I am not a believer in the pendulum style of training. I train by feel and lets say day 1 I bench heavy and the next day I feel good and I warm up and I feel I could go again - I DO . I mean if you can repeat the same workout from day 1 and perhaps with a few more pounds, one of two things happened. You either didn't train heavy enough on day 1 or not with enough intensity. Either case if there is something left in the tank I believe in emptying it. I go all out every workout and I am a firm believer in under training more than over training.

My goals for now are the same as they always have been and that is to be the absolute best . I have stepped away from 3 lift meets back in 2007 and have competed in Raw Bench only comps, but in March 2011 I am returning to a full 3 lift meet and looking at hitting at least a grand on the squat as that's my best lift. I have done over a grand before and because it was at a smaller federation and caught allot of heat from a few lifters. It was a legit lift and I did it in a Squat suit only no briefs I have it on VHS. There are allot of haters in the world and well no matter what one does they will have something negative to say . Most of the time this is because they are jealous and hate to see anyone else succeed. I say stop hating and start making your mark in the world, because no one else will do it for you.

Matthew:

Lets talk MMA. You said you had a fight coming up..? When and where is that fight and how do you feel it will turn out?

Daniel:

Back when I fought last I was 160# and never trained like I should have. Well its 2011 and I will be be 205# and I will combine cardio, skill and most importantly my strength. i would love to win the fight without throwing one punch the entire fight, and go submission only. I have been to many smaller venue shows and its a bunch of untrained guys throwing big windmill punches. Then 1 fighter will show up and show some skill and the crowd freaks out , I just want to bring the technical side back to MMA. If you wanna see 2 guys throwing wild punches I say go watch a tough man show. This is MMA and there is a seriously lack of Martial Arts involved at an amateur level anyway . I train like there is no tomorrow in both weightlifting and MMA and I don't see anyone coming in better conditioning and strength than me . As far as the outcome well this is MMA and anything can happen .

Matthew:

What are some of your goals for the future?

Daniel:

Right now I am focusing all my attention on my upcoming power lifting competition at the end of March in Kazakhstan. This will be the first 3 lift met I have done since Feb-2007. I would like to toss out some of the numbers I am looking at hitting , but I feel that could jinx me right now so I am staying quiet on that . Lets just say that if everything goes right ( Suit works, feel at least 50%, and the crowd lol ) I will hit some good numbers. At the moment I am focused mainly on my squat as that will be the only geared lift I will be doing unless I feel to tired to dead lift raw then Ill brief up for that, otherwise looking at Benching and dead lifting raw. As far as other goals,,,,, one thing at a time. OK one more, me and the wife are trying to have a baby right now so........practice, practice , practice.

Matthew:

If you could change 1 thing about the sport of Power Lifting and MMA, what would it be?

Daniel:

Easy - Power lifting- LESS GEAR. This of course is coming from someone wearing 2 ply briefs and 2 ply canvas squat suit in my upcoming meet. I would rather go RAW but when in Rome or Kazakhstan do as the Kazakhstans or whatever lol . I say gear has gotten way , way , way out of control. I hate going to shows and seeing all these little guys benching and squatting 3 times their body weight and raw well barely hit their body weight. Look when I compete I am usually the smallest guy there muscle wise. When I focus on power lifting that's all I think about , day and night. I keep the picture of the numbers I want in my head 24/7 . I turn away from the reps in the gym and focus on power , speed and strength. I lose allot of size when training for a meet because of the lack of repetitions. I say thank god for muscle memory so when I return to regular lifting I can gain it back fairly quick . Anyway at these power meets people are wearing 3 ply this with 3 ply that, they take it off and well a kids body comes to mind. I hate when people do nothing but train in gear. I go raw 99% of the time, even when squatting I want RAW POWER and Ill put on the suit a few times before the meet. Since I don't Bench in a shirt I have no worries with that . I could rant forever about the gear issue but hey its here to stay, I just don't have to use it I guess.

MMA - Simple and quick here with this answer - SERIOUS PROMOTERS. I would like to go to an event where the promoter cares about the fights and not about the $$. I see allot of promoters throwing anyone on the card just to fill it. No names here but there is a local group that calls themselves MMA fighters and none of them train , but because they are a group these promoters grab them up quicker than a porn mag in prison. I mean they are all over it and even after their first showing these promos lol continue using talentless fighters. So you and me buy a ticket go to the show and watch fights that we could have seen in the parking lot of the local " Piggly Wiggly" . I say if you must continue using these fighters lets make it a little bit more entertaining for the spectators and announce that these to guys are fighting for the honor of their lover, the love of their lives, their SISTER. I mean then its combining the best of both worlds MMA with Reality TV (Fist bump) yeah baby lol .

Matthew:

Daniel, again, thank you so very much for doing this interview with me. If people wanted to contact you for advice on training, fighting etc. how can they reach you?

Daniel:

I can be reached through my website WWW.SQUATMONSTER.COM or on facebook which is also on the website.

I have met people that I feel have really set a true example for others to follow, and have set a standard on what being fit really means. When I think of Bodybuilding I often envision a man or woman that is in top shape, has worked hard in the gym, but even harder in the kitchen. People like this motivate me to be the best that I can be that is for sure.

When I think of a hard working, dedicated to the dream of excellence, hard core bodybuilder and a true family man, one man stands out from the rest. This man is Mr. Marc Lobliner. I've known Marc for a few years and he has always been a true friend and always very helpful and supportive influence to me. He has a vast knowledge of nutrition, weight training, supplementation and really anything to do with the fitness lifestyle. He is also the CEO of one of the top ranked supplement companies in the world. SCIVATION.

So, without further delay, I would like to introduce Mr. Marc "The Machine" Lobliner.

Matthew:
Marc, thank you so very much for taking the time out of your crazy schedule to do this interview with me. I know you are a busy man and always on the go so you taking the time to talk with me means a lot.

Marc:
Are you kidding me? It is an honor to do this interview. We have been friends for a long time and I am honored to have anyone just care that I exist. I am busy, but so is everyone else in their own way. My busy just happens to be filled with traveling constantly promoting the Scivation lifestyle of reaching your health and physique goals and also helping to get Scivation into retail outlets and ultimately into the hands of consumers hungry to better themselves. We are after results, period.

Matthew:
Tell us a little about who you are, where you’re from, your family, what you do and how you got the name "The Machine". (Try to keep it rated G)

Marc:
I am married to my beautiful wife Katie and have two wonderful children—Kambria (5) and Thomas (2). We live in Burlington, NC but are originally from Los Angeles.

I got the nickname “The Machine” when I was prepping for my second show. I was traveling a ton, not sleeping, and had a newborn child. Derek Charlebois, my trainer and Scivation Director of R&D, was amazed at how I was able to get what I got done on very little sleep and said, “You aren’t human, you’re a Machine.” From now on, I’m going to call you ‘The Machine’.” And the nickname was born.

Matthew:
Were you always in great shape? What got you into Bodybuilding?

Marc:
As a child, I was moderately overweight. Sure, I played sports. Soccer, baseball, football, basketball, I did it all. But my eating habits and everything else just got in the way of my being able to stay thin. Like most overweight kids in those days. I got picked on quite a bit. It was always tough.

But this isn’t what drove me to become what I am today, a top-level bodybuilder who owns a successful supplement, diet, and training company. What helped drive me to my success was what I witnessed as a child. My father literally ate himself to death.

I first started lifting weights when I was 14 years old. I wanted to go to college but couldn’t afford to. I also realized that with a mediocre grade point average, I had to find another way to make this happen. That is when I decided that Grid-Iron Football was the way to go. I started training hard and went from 150 lbs to 170 lbs relatively fast at a height of 5’7”. Then, it happened. I SHOT up to 240 lbs over summer break naturally. Well, sort of. I had a condition, called Hypergonadism that made me super-anabolic with MANY times the testosterone of a normal teenage boy. Yes, indeed, great balls of fire! I was able to parlay this size with my natural abilities into a college degree. But this is not what made me really get into the health and fitness lifestyle.

When I was in high school, I decided that health and fitness would be a way of life and even possibly a career for me. It started with the doctor saying to my father,

"If you don't watch it, you'll get diabetes." Then,

"If you don't watch it,

you'll need to inject insulin, not just take pills."And finally,

"Your kidneys failed.

You're blind, deaf, and cannot drive or work ever again." My senior year in high school, I came home from football practice one day to find our apartment filled with paramedics. My father had had a stroke. This was not his first so-called cerebrovascular accident. He’d had his first stroke years before while on a business trip to Arizona. I cried for hours. I witnessed his gradual but progressive demise and it was all because he didn't take care of himself.

My father busted his rear day in and day out to provide for my mother and me. This took a great toil upon him, and, coupled with his poor diet and lifestyle habits, led to a quality of life that, though only in his 50's, was at least the equivalent of someone in their 90’s. He passed away from a cerebral aneurysm, a fancy way of saying that a blood vessel popped in his brain. Ironically, this was about one year after receiving a new lease on life from a kidney transplant.

I also witnessed, first hand from my mother, what unhealthy living could do to one’s life. My mother has an addiction problem. She made some wrong decisions that sometimes put our family in a very bad place. This has also scarred me, but also made me realize that I didn’t want to be like that. I wanted something different for my life. I wanted to be in charge of my life. I wanted to be in control. I knew that if I worked hard and stayed focused on my goals, I would be successful, and provide a better life for the children I hoped to have someday.

First, I resolved that I would never let what happened to my parents happen to me. Once I made that decision, (Listen, making a decision is the key – it gets you focused and helps you to plan to accomplish your goals. More on this later) things started happening that brought me to where I am today. Making the decision started the process of anchoring my life toward a specific set of goals.

Second, another important factor in transforming my life is without a doubt meeting my wife Katie. We met when I was 16, high school sweethearts. She was sent from heaven to rescue me. During all of the troubled times with my parents, she was my guiding light and kept me focused. She always stuck by me and remains my strength and one of the primary reasons I’ve been so successful. She helped me to see and to believe that I could accomplish whatever I set my mind to. She continues to inspire me and to help me walk the path of success.

Third, I found an avenue, a direction to take where I could devote all of my energy and passion. Given the experiences with my parents, it’s not surprising the path I took. You could even say the path found me. What began as a mission to do whatever it took not to die prematurely like my dad turned into an obsession to transform my physique into something special, like the lean muscular men I admired from the muscle magazines I read as a kid. By the time I started working at Weider Publications, as an ad sales person, I sported a decent physique, but nothing special, nothing to write home about.

The people at Weider said I had a good body structure and proportions. Jerry Kindela, then editor of Men's Fitness told me, "If you get lean, we'll put you in the magazine." At that point I was on a mission. This was a spark, a challenge that pushed me, not that I needed a lot of pushing, to develop my physique as far as my genetics would take me. Since I’m nowhere near reaching my potential yet, it is a quest that still drives me. But it was Jerry’s prompting set me off on my pursuit and helped me to find the best direction for my life. I have now been in Men’s Fitness, Musclemag Italy and many other publications. I went from a fat kid to a lean muscular man like the ones on the pages of the magazines that I once read with envy. It is a dream that I’ve been able to make come true.
Competitive bodybuilding was never a goal, never on my radar. How could it be? Remember, I came from a family who took their health for granted and abused it mercilessly. To be honest, I do it only because I should, because it’s the right thing for me to do. As the owner of Scivation, I take our mission statement as the “Ethical Empire” and that we will “Practice What You Preach” seriously. Who am I to tell someone how to reach their health and fitness goals if I cannot reach mine? So in 2006, two years into Scivation, I competed in my first bodybuilding show and won the Light-Heavyweight class. I never expected to be good at it! Now, I compete simply to show the world that Scivation is the company that puts their money, and their shredded glutes, where their mouth is. I feel that it is my duty as the owner and president of the company to do whatever it takes to obtain my IFBB Pro Card. To me it only makes sense that the top supplement company has a representative at the very top of the sport of bodybuilding.

Matthew:
How hard is it for you to train and diet the way you do when you are always on the road man?

Marc:
Not hard at all! I just get up and DO IT first thing! If I do not train, my day and week sucks. Training is a part of my day, much like going to the bathroom and drinking water. I really love it!

Matthew:
How much food do you eat a day, calorie wise? Do you focus on high protein? How many grams per meal do you get in?

Marc:
When I bulk, I will consume upwards of 7,000 calories. On my diet now, I am at about 3,600 or so calories 2 weeks out from my show! I am at 300grams of protein now split into 7 meals, and that is where I usually stay.

Here is my diet RIGHT NOW!

After this show, I will do a guest posing at The Uprising on April 2 in Plattsburgh, NY then I will start my prep, including a bulk, and probably do Nationals.

Matthew:
Tell us about your training, what is your main goal right now? What are some of your Bodybuilding accomplishments?

Marc:
I am focusing on back and legs. My bodybuilding accomplishments…heck with the past. My main thing now that I am Nationally Qualified is to win my IFBB PRO CARD!! I am doing a Leg/Back Specialization Hybrid at this moment.

Matthew:
Let’s talk about Scivation. When did Scivation start? Who started the company? Who are the key players at Scivation?

Matthew:
Where is Scivation headed right now in your opinion? What goals has the company set?

Marc:
We will own results and information. www.strengthandscience.com will be the foremost online magazine and Scivation will be the premier brand. We will set the new standard for quality and results. By the end of 2011, this will be reality.

Matthew:
If you could change 1 thing about the sport of Bodybuilding, what would it be?

Marc:
The negative connotations. Bodybuilding is hard work. We need to focus on that and not on what a bodybuilder is or isn’t taking. Also, I think the 202 and under class is great. When I started training, I admired Arnold and Zane and their pictures were all over every gym wall. As much as I admire Cutler and Greene, the mainstream does not aspire to that look. Thus, a downsizing might be a good thing!

Matthew:
I know Scivation has always been a company that helps everyone and anyone with their goals, where can people go for help?
