Wow, just noticed, I'm lazier than I thought I was. This site has been using Blogger as the front end for updates on the main page for 5 years, with very little movement. Sorry about the lack of updates and info, but life kinda gets in the way (and video games, beer drinking, and fun shit like that). Explains why almost the entire "links" page is nothing but expired links. Will fix ASAP.

My previous web-host www.bravenet.com decided to end their free hosting, and were kind enough not to send out an email notifying their customers. So the website was down for who knows how long (my updates, they're really lacking). I was exploring my options for a replacement even further as it was now critical, and ended up choosing to host it myself. There will be the occasional downtime when my I.P. changes, may have to look into using dynamic dns to correct that if it becomes a major issue. The good news is that I now have full control over the site, and can modify things as I please. Will be busy over the next couple of weeks fixing broken links, updating pages, etc. I can't guarantee any increased frequency of updates, but since I'm now hosting it, it will be on my mind a lot more.

I'm in the process of moving the site over to a new host, but since I'm too lazy to back things up regularly, I'm going to have to recode some pages. The good news is I'll have more room on the server to post / host things.

The world would be a better place without them.
Not you, you're a person. The general public though, they can fucking die. People that prefer to blame others (like "the man" and large corporations) for their own fuckups. People have no sense of personal responsibility, it fucking makes me sick. Humans are ruining the planet, and it ain't got shit to do with global warming. The General Public is a festering sore on the ass of humanity. Need Proof? Examples? Here's a scenario:

You're late for work. Alarm didn't go off. You throw on you're cleanest dirty clothes, jump in the car, haul ass to work only to find traffic is doing 30 below the speed limit. 30 miles below the fucking speed limit. In the hammer lane. 30 miles below the fucking speed limit in the mother fucking hammer lane. After 20 minutes, you find the source of the congestion. Did someone die you wonder? No, turns out the state police are tagging an abandoned car... On the fucking opposite side of the fucking freeway. The dumb ass drivers in front of you slowed down to see what the pretty colored flashing lights were about. Or more specifically, one ONE dumb assed son-of-a-bitch slowed to 15 MPH and caused the slinky effect fucking up the commute for the 75 drivers behind him in all 3 lanes of traffic. After traffic picks up, you step on the gas doing 10 over only to come upon someone doing the speed limit in the left hand lane, despite how ever many times you flash your lights. You can't pass due to things still being congested. The driver, although showing a severe lack of etiquette, isn't breaking the law. You finally make it to you freeway exit, narrowly missing death three times due to people too stupid to plan their exit strategy from the interstate despite the exit signs 3 miles back, who feel cutting you off is their only option. It appears they all believe brakes and proper following distances are for pussies. You finally make it to work, have to park at the far end of the parking lot due to people who live close enough to walk to work not doing so, and clock in. 5 minutes late. You start tallying the list of people and things that fucked up your commute time and caused you to be late. One of two things happen at this point.

Either A: You curse the GP for being dumb-asses and fucking up your commute.

Or B: You curse the GP for being dumb-asses and yourself for not setting the alarm clock or buying one with a backup battery.

If you're option A, GO FUCK YOURSELF. and remember, it's down the street, not across. If you're option B, you're a dumb-ass, but at least you're not part of the GP. Feel proud. Option A thinks I could have made up that 5 minutes during the drive. Option B thinks I could have made up that time, but I could have also woken up 5 minutes earlier.

I have met the enemy, and it is us. Everyone is part of the GP at some point. The Trick is to learn from your mistakes and move on.

Between working, limited social life stuff, and EvE, my online time has been spent doing other stuff. I'm sure you understand. I recently started writing in a real life journal (pen and paper for you young fuckers out there). I'm trying it for stress management. Personally, I hope it works. As far as this blog as concerned, it will be better if it doesn't. The theme will be "I HATE!!!". More rants, less happy feely shit. Bring on the hate.

Nothing much to report. Instead of adding entertaining content to the site, I've been wrapped up in a new pastime. It's a MMORPG called Eve Online. If you've hear of "World of Warcraft", it's a similar type game, only in space, and a bit more complex. The only bad thing about it, is that it's just as addictive. In fact, I'm playing it now. I'm going to have to get back to you on the world of useless entertainment, in the meantime, I've got some drones to kill...

Whew. I've finally gotten the layout and the site basics under control. I really don't care for the layout of the guest book, but it'll stay until I find something better. The good news is that I can start working on adding even more content. The bad news is that I can't guarantee the originality of it. I'm thinking audio play list, seems to be the trendy thing to do. Ah, with great power comer great responsibility.

I'm changing the main photo directories to allow the site to work with the PicLens extension (available for FireFox and IE). Good News is that it means more content, bad news is that I've got more pseudo-coding to do. At least it's easier than building a porn site.

Well, it appears that things seem to be working pretty well using google blogger and feed burner combined. Why am I doing this? I could go into all the boring details, but I guess it's best summarized by just saying "I'm a lazy bastard". Ahh, self realization. It was the downfall of skynet, and I have a feeling it will be mine as well. On that note, I'm going to go back to tweaking things, drinking more brandy, and supporting the plight of the indians. Feathers, not dots....

Which brings us to today's imaginary sponsor, Natural American Spirit Cigarettes. Sure they're more expensive, but they're cheaper than a slot machine and a lot more fun to light on fire.
