In Microsoft Office Excel, some formulas will give an unexpected “#Value!” message. To fix it go to Tools > Menu > Add-In’s then check the Analysis ToolPak. Names of menus may change a little between versions of Office, for instance, Office 10 would be File > Options > Addins > Analysis ToolPak.

 Save Those Keystrokes

This will fix your error message. For me it occurs when I am using the EDATE(a10,1) formula in cell a11. This formula increments the month by 1. So, if cell a10 is 2/01/12. When I copy down the line cell a11 is 3/1/12 automatically. This saves keystrokes when posting monthly payments on an mortgage type spreadsheet. Enjoy!

Add on WOT Web of trust

It warns you when you are going to questionable website. Green for good. Yellow for caution. Red for be very careful. You can bypass the warning, if you choose. Most search engines will show the symbol before you even go to the website. You can rate the sites yourself. Unrated site are coded gray till WOT issues a rating. You will need to search for WOT for IE, to install on Internet Explorer. For Firefox, just go to tools, add on, do a search for WOT then install. I love it!

One of the most overlooked solutions is very simple. Shut down the computer and printer normally if possible and power off the modem.  Leave the power off for one or two minutes. Start up your computer, printer and modem as usual. Many times this easy and simple task fixes it.  Obviously, it will not fix all problems. But try it before looking for help, it could just save you a lot of money.
