Come this October (Diwali)… you will witness the clash of two of the most anticipated movies of this year, Kites and Kajraare. If you are not aware of the star cast and still wondering about Iron Body and Iron Nose, here is the list: Kites would star Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut and Barbara Mori. The movie is directed by Anurag basu. Whereas… Kajraare would star Himesh Reshammiya and Pakistani beauty Mona laizza. The movie is directed by actress-turned-director Pooja Bhatt.

More than anything… this is going to be the clash of Alphabets. Both the movies have ‘K’ as the starting alphabet in their titles. We know how crazy the producers and directors are after ‘K’.
And if that is not enough, both the actors’ names start with ‘H’.

All said… I have a strong feeling that both the movies are going to bomb big time at the box-office. How long could anyone survive with six packs and Sinus affected nose?

I have no idea why the leading lady, Kangana Ranaut, is kept away from the promotion. As you can see… she is nowhere to be seen in the first look poster. She was not taken to the Cannes film festival, where Hrithik and Barbara were seen behaving like childhood lovebirds.

Hrithik and his dad should know that foreign stars don’t do well here… it’s our desi stars who make the movie a hit. And Kangana Ranaut is definitely a big star now after the success of Fashion and Raaz.

Hope Kites does not turn out to be a Marigold. Remember the Salman Khan and Ali Larter starrer?

Anyways, Salman Khan will be seen with the Kapoor sisters, Karisma and Kareena, in the inaugural episode of 10 Ka Dum. The makers of the show say that Karisma and Kareena will play, dance and do loads of crazy stuff with Salman Khan.

If you are not a Salman Khan fan and simply hate the show, you still have enough reasons to watch the inaugural episode. Yes, yes, we have the sizzling Kapoor sisters.

Anyways, here they are holding their hands on the latest issue of Filmfare magazine. The title reads…“Sexy Trendsetters”. Hmmm…I seriously doubt that. I don’t see them change any trends in Bollywood.

Imran Khan is doing absolutely nothing. He should thank his uncle Aamir Khan for giving him a movie like Jaane Tu… otherwise he would have had a tough time to even get a supporting role in Bollywood. All you Imran Khan fans, sorry for being harsh, but the truth has to be told.

Coming to Sonam Kapoor… yeah, she is doing something – flaunting her body in designer clothes in photoshoots. Well, that ends all for Sonam Kapoor.

My advice to both Sonam and Imran… if you want to make it big in Bollywood, you need to have your own super style and unique acting abilities… or else… you will be soon seen weeping in every other scene. I mean you have to join the flop actor’s medium – TV Serials.

Hope Aishwarya Rai does not see this as I have heard that she has already warned Abhishek on his starring.

So how can SRK recover from the failures he had this year? Well, it seems that there is nothing he can do as his movie with Kajol, My Name is Khan, is postponed to January next year. Probably the only saving grace could be his guest appearance in Sushmita Sen starrer Dulha Milgaya. But even a successful guest appearance cannot undo the failures he had this year.

Hope 2010 brings loads of luck for him in movies as well as in IPL.

Don’t get me wrong - Stoneman Murders is a pretty engrossing film. It will keep you entertained almost throughout. But where do all Bollywood films falter?? You guessed it - at the end.

The ending is a huge letdown. Actually you can feel the film going downhill as soon as Kay Kay Menon is seen in the library researching religions of India.

The film does have some big flaws. Such as: why is Kay Kay’s character always in the area of where the crime occurs? Yet he is never able to catch the culprit. Also, the film is based on actual events that happened, but there is nothing factual in the movie itself. (The stoneman murders are actually an unsolved case but in the film they decided to make their own conclusions as to who was the killer).

You and I will both have a hunch that the killer is one of the characters in the film - considering that there are only around four or five characters, it shouldn’t be that hard to narrow it down.

But then I decided to ignore these flaws, since the film itself was quite engaging (for the most part).

Kay Kay Menon’s performance is awesome. Arbaaz Khan looks like he just doesn’t care. But he sure does know how to eat a biscuit with style. The rest are just okay.

Music is bad. The Qaatilaana song is the only one you might consider adding to your mp3 player.

To sum it up, Stoneman Murders starts off as a good thriller. But unfortunately the film loses its steam down the stretch.

The movie is based on the ‘Monkey Man’ who was haunting the residents of Delhi some years back. I won’t bore you by revealing the story, so here is my take on the cast:

Abhishek Bacchan irritates every time he opens his mouth for that fake American accent.
Sonam Kapoor looks neither hot nor cute, and acting wise she is strictly average. No offense Sonam Kapoor fans, she looks horrible when she laughs or cries.
Waheeda Rehman and Rishi Kapoor are the only actors who occasionally bring life to the movie.
There are many more actors, but who cares?!

The only reason I went to watch Delhi-6 was for its music. Yes, to hear the celestial songs of A R Rahman. So here is my take on the music and its picturization:

Delhi-6(title track): I simply love this track for its mix of languages and sound effects. But I was deeply disappointed to see it in the movie because of shabby picturization. Normally, even if the movie is bad, the directors take special care to shoot A R Rahman’s songs, but Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra had no idea what he was doing.

Rehna Tu : This song has become one of my all time favorites. The song has a silky feeling to it, but watching it in the movie killed all that. Is Rakeysh gone nuts or what? A simple panning of camera from Abhishek to Sonam was enough to make this song work, but our director decides to picturize it on Abhishek and Rishi Kapoor while they are playing pool. Get the picture?

Dil Gira : The music in this song has a heavenly feeling to it. Well, in simple words, the song is too good. And the picturization, for a change, is good too. They have mixed New York with Delhi. * 5 stars for music and picturization *

There are few more songs which are passable.

In short Delhi-6 is disappointing.

Asin, you will be forgiven in the south for carrying such outfits, but Bollywood is real different. Make sure you don’t become another Vidya Balan.

Nothing can help this poor girl who has become a classic example of bad dressing. I just can’t understand what makes her wear such clothes? Now what is she wearing here? Is she a Bollywood actress or some…?
Vidya, I saw tears in your eyes when Shahrukh and Saif awarded you with Na-Real award for bad dressing at the Filmfare Awards, but even that hasn’t made you to change. So what are you waiting for?
