Why We Close Eyes while Kissing ?

2016-03-29T09:54:00.000-07:00

Why we close eyes while kissing : Have you ever thought why people close their eyes while locking lips? Is it "just one of those things that happens" or is there any other reason to it?

In sa recent studies , psychologist have documented that brain concentrates one event at one time , so when you kiss your beloved as in lip-lock , the brain wants to focus on kiss only . Its just like meditation. The study reveals that the tactile and visionary sensors in brain conflict with each other kissing especially during lip lock.

The psychologists found "tactile, i.e. sense of touch, awareness depends on the level of perceptual load in a concurrent visual task."

When you close mooch or lip lock with your partner , her body starts relaxing from top to bottom. If you touch her upper body part while doing a long lip lock smoothly she will crave for more and there are high chances of landing her on bed.

When you do a smooth Instead of reaching any conclusion with studying any couples locking lips, the participants were given visual tasks to complete while their tactile sense was measured.

To measure visual sense, participants completed letter-searching tasks of varying difficulty. The tactile response was measured by responding to a small vibration applied to one of their hands.

The same explanation can be applied to other pleasurable activities on the tactile sense, like dancing and sex, where people wish to focus on touch rather that other potentially distracting sensory experiences

Rocky Handsome Review

2016-03-25T10:19:00.002-07:00

A drug-mafia infested Goa plus menacing mobsters plus a little girl who goes missing plus a muscled man on a mission is equal to ‘Rocky Handsome’. What all of it basically comes down to is this: a sculpted John Abraham donning a black singlet–pajamas–combat cap, walking slo-mo down corridors, beating the c—p out of sundry bad guys. Or slashing holes into ‘em. Same difference. That is the sole purpose of this film.

The baddies are a colourful lot. One is called Mantoo, or Muntu. Another has a ponytail and leaps about like a terrible carbon copy of a bad carbon copy. Another is bald-pated and twinkly eyed. These two have a bodyguard who comes from one of those lands in the East where kinetic martial arts are used commonly. I think I heard someone say Thailand, so okay, he’s Thai.

But really who cares about such specifics in a film which is determined to plumb all depths when it comes to grisly violence : from a man with an axe, to goons with knives and guns, and some kind of a vacuum drill, which is used in a most shiver inducing manner right at the start, every conceivable weapon is brought to bear. But before you can shout axe murderer, you ought to know that Abraham’s character is the most violent of them all. Particularly in a climactic scene, in which he makes like a veritable whirlwind, using everything he has, to carve through his opponents.

Of course he has a justification, because he is a Hindi film hero. Which is meant to make up for the absence of a coherent story-line, dreary set pieces, and long stretches of people shooting at each other. The film is based on a well-known Korean flick, and in Korean flicks which topline gore, the leading men are not saddled with back stories to make them look noble. Shruti Haasan shows up for a miniscule walk- on just to shed some good light on the hero, before he walks off into the shadows.

John Abraham’s Rocky Handsome is a double: the screen splits into two, with both Rocky and Handsome come striding towards us, just in case we were confused. He only appears bad, see, he’s actually a good guy with a terrible past. The rest of the space is filled with an eight year old (Diya Chalwad) who’s made to talk like she’s double that, and given a relationship with our hero which is meant to tear you up, but feels faintly creepy. Theres a young woman with a drug habit. Just when you think it couldn’t get any worse, you come upon the gracious Suhasini Mulay trucked out as a sleazy peddler of kids. Everything is all over the place in this Goa over-run by ‘Roosis’, and dark night clubs, and organ traders, and scenes of extreme, hard-core violence.

Kahaani-Movie-Review

2012-03-08T02:53:00.002-08:00

Movie : Kahaani
Cast : Vidya Balan , IndraneiL Sengupta , Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Director : Sujoy Ghosh
Music : Vishal Shekhar

Rating : 4/5

KAHAANI is an excellent and captivating from beginning to finish. The director has successfully attempted to glue his audience with seats for the entire length of the movie, for this Kudos to Sujoy Ghosh. The script has been written with perfect execution to keep the audience alive and entertaining throughout the length with right dose of humor in between .Albeit this has not affected the story narration or the serious and mysterious plot of the movie.

As usual Vishal-Shekhar has again generated a mesmerizing music with best part I liked was Ekla Chalo Re in captivating voice Senior Bachchan. The cinematography is arresting.

Surely the plot has been designed keeping in mind The Dirty Picture lady Vidya Balan , who has been awarded National Award for the same just a day before.Well she has again Entertained Entertained Entertained the audience on this Holi.

Story :

Vidya Bagchi arrives in Kolkata from London to find her missing husband. Seven month pregnant and alone in a festive city, she begins a relentless search for her husband. With nothing to rely on, except fragments from her memories about him, all clues seem to reach a dead end when everyone tries to convince Vidya that her husband does not exist. She slowly realizes that nothing is what it seems. In a city soaked in lies, Vidya is determined to unravel the truth about her husband -- for herself and her unborn child, even at the cost her own life.

A woman on her way to be a mother… it's the biggest changeover in the life of a lady. And when her spouse vanishes at this crucial juncture, how do you come to terms with the fact that he has gone missing? People you approach to seek help assert that there exists no such entity. But you are certain that this individual exists and that you are carrying the proof of his existence: his child. The concept is truly striking and attention-grabbing.

Sujoy, with the skills of a master storyteller, amalgamates a human story in a thriller format. There is a certain uninhibited genuineness in Sujoy's direction. Besides, the writing is outstanding [story: Sujoy Ghosh, Advaita Kala; additional screenplay: Suresh Nair, Nikhil Vyas]; one seldom witnesses such aptitude and deliberation to specifications. Without doubt, Sujoy gives it his best shot with gleaming sincerity. Positioned alongside an intimidating environment of Kolkata's tapered side streets and constricted alleyways, the setting is ahead of credence in its realism.

Parambrata Chattopadhyay, as Rana, is a revelation. What a tremendous actor. His sequences with Vidya are truly wonderful. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, as Khan, proves yet again that he's an exceptional performer. He makes a stunning impact. Dhritiman Chatterjee is, as always, efficient, Saswata Chatterjee is effective and Darshan Jariwala is perfect. Indraneil Sengupta is splendid in a challenging role. The two child actors [the boy at the lodge and the boy at the tea stall] are a complete natural.

Vidya has again given life to a character, the movie scores because of intense emotion , perfect screen play and natural execution by most of the side actors throughout the movie. Its purely Entertainment Entertainment Entertainment.

Must not be avoided this weekend.

EK MAIN AUR EKK TU Movie Review

2012-02-07T21:36:00.000-08:00

EK MAIN AUR EKK TU Review

Movie : EK MAIN AUR EKK TU

Cast: Kareena Kapoor ,IMran Khan , Boman Irani , Ratna

Pathak Shah , Ranbir Kapoor, Ram Kumar

Director: Shakun Batra

Producer : Karan Johar

Music: Amit Trivedi

Verdict: 4/5

EK MAIN AUR EKK TU can be the perfect movie for those who are waiting for an enjoyable Valentine’s day just next weekend. NO wonder the timing of the release is superb along with the script and cast of EK MAIN AUR EKK TU movie. Well not taking more time before I reveal my experience and review of EK MAIN AUR EKK TU. The movie has preceded a lot of rumors about being a sequel to super hit bollywood movie Jab We Met featuring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor or the recent news that it’s a remake of Hollywood WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS. But all I see this is just a rumor and not a fact. This is an entirely new story and presentation. Everyone dreams of converting a sweet friendship into (obviously opt out article 177) romance and then get Happily Married. But hold on what happens two people marry each other as a consequences of just a silly mistake. Will they try to take corrective step and get apart or try to convert their mistake into a beautiful and sensible decision. Well, the movie is all about this mistake and their positive behavior to convert it into Happily Married State.

EK MAIN AUR EKK TU may be a rom-com, but I am sure that bollywood fans will watch and like this kind of story for the first time on screen.
Story: Rahul (Imran Khan) is has only dream to pursue that he want to be like his father Boman Irani, but destiny betrays him by taking away his job as an architect in Vegas. Afraid that he has let his parents down, Rahul tries not to reveal the reality to his parents and starts finding another job before it is too late. This time he faces another twist from his destiny that he meets Chulbulelee Riana (Kareena Kapoor), a quick-witted hairstylist, who is everything he isn't.

By chance they meet on Christmas Eve over a few drinks, but like always, it's never a 'few'.Its the beginning of new tale when they woke up next morning and discover that they are a married couple now. Obviously , their first reaction is to get separated ASAP , but twist number #3 enters when court was found closed for next 10 days following the winter recess. So Rahul has another truth to hide from his parents. Over the next ten days they have their share of arguments, moments and laughs that results in an unlikely friendship.

Will this friendship lead to a romantic love story? Will Riana’s love, warmth and support give Rahul the courage to face a long-simmering confrontation with his parents? Will a marriage that started as a drunken mistake help two people find themselves?

EK MAIN AUR EKK TU is truly based on revealing Urban life and definitely not a Love- Sex cliché as we are witnessing for last 3 years in bollywood. This movie has certain potential to be liked not only by the urban youngsters but also the parents who keep an eye on their children and not let them experiment with their talents, only because of their unrealistic expectations.

Director Shakun Batra familiarizes the spectator with the protagonists at the very inception and then wholly engages you in Imran and Kareena's journey. While the first half encompasses numerous significant moments, the motion picture in actual fact takes off in the post-interval portions. The story shifts to Mumbai and that's where the turnaround comes about. The entire episode at Kareena's home, followed by the 'Auntyji' song, keep you amused, while the dramatic outburst at the dinner table is simply marvelous. The conclusion too is not what you think it would be and that's why not just the director, but also the writers deserve brownie points for thinking out of the box. Without doubt, this is one of the most exceptional screenplays to come out of Bollywood in the recent past.

The soundtrack of EK MAIN AUR EKK TU suits the tastes of urbane listeners. While composer Amit Trivedi comes up with sprightly tracks like 'Auntyji' and the saccharine sweet title track, he also ensures that tracks like 'Gubbare' linger in your memory. EK MAIN AUR EKK TU sweeps you off your feet for one more reason: the stunning visuals [DoP: David Mac Donald]. The dazzling locales of Las Vegas are captured with aplomb on celluloid by the ace cinematographer.

Both Kareena and Imran come up with distinctive urban sensibilities and you only expect the two to comprehend the nuances of the narrative and execute that delicately and magnificently on screen. Kareena's character in this film is very similar to the one she portrayed in JAB WE MET. In fact, you could say that Riana is the urban face of Geet, a free spirited, vivacious person. Kareena surrenders herself to the director's visualization and delivers an outstanding performance, reminiscent of the one in JAB WE MET.

Imran fits into the role of a stickler for precision smoothly. In fact, you'd expect Imran to be overshadowed by Kareena completely, in view of the fact that Kareena is a far more experienced actor and also because her character is feisty and livewire, but Imran manages to stand on his feet and delivers a delightful, likeable performance yet again. The outburst at the dinner table only goes to provide evidence to the fact of how wonderful an actor he has evolved into.

EK MAIN AUR EKK TU has true potential to be next big movie this year after Agneepath. It is a must watch for all those who are waiting for Valentine’s Day.The movie is full of light and enjoyable moments. Don’t miss this.

Ra One Movie Review

2011-10-24T20:00:00.000-07:00

Cast: Shahrukh Khan, Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapor

Director: Anubhav Sinha

Producer: Gauri Khan

Rating: 4. 5/5

Source: Gulfnews.com

Shah Rukh Khan has another winner on his hands with Ra.One.

tabloid! was at the Grand Cineplex last night to watch and review the film.

The movie started a good hour-and-a-half later than the scheduled time but the audience were willing to wait as SRK himself addressed them in each of the halls.

“I’m going to keep it short as the viewing is quite delayed. But would like to thank all my friends without whom this would not have been possible”.
The movie begins with a funny dream sequence where the hero is going to save his girl from the evil Khalnayak (villain). Shekhar Subramaniam (Shah Rukh Khan) is a graphics specialist working for Barron Industries that makes video games and a man who loves his wife Sonia (Kareena Kapoor) and son Prateek (Armaan Verma).

Prateek however thinks his father is “not cool”, mistaking Shekhar’s sensibility for cowardice and lack of spunk. Though he believes it’s always good that wins in the end, to make Prateek happy, Shekhar decides to build a video game Random Access One aka Ra.One (a phonetic name similar to Raavan, the biggest villain in Hindu mythology) where the villain will be stronger than hero. However, just like Frankenstein, the Ra.One becomes a living source of evil who not only kills Shekhar and his colleague but wants Lucifer (Prateek’s login) who was the only one who could defeat him. And Shekhar is reborn as G.One, his digital image from the game to combat Ra.One.

The movie’s special effects team has nicely packaged a typical Bollywood potboiler as a slick thriller, on the lines of Hollywood’s Matrix, X-Men and similar sci-fi films, under the supervision of Jeff Kleiser who has contributed to films such as Tron, Stargate, Judge Dredd and X-Men to name a few. Combined with crisp sound design by Slumdog Millionaire’s Oscar winning Rasool Pookutty, this kind of sci-fi thriller is new to the Indian
cinemagoer and will be highly appreciated, especially in 3D, which unfortunately we didn’t get to watch.

SRK turns screenplay writer with biographer Mushtaq Shaikh and Kanika Dhillon. The dialogue written by Dhillon and Niranjan Iyenger is punchy and funny at various times. The audience were also in splits when superstar Rajnikanth as Chitti and
Khalnayak Sanjay Dutt made their cameos on screen.

While Chhamak Chhalo Kapoor sizzled only in one scene, SRK held the film from the beginning, first as the geek then as the superhero. Little Verma was good as Prateek while Rampal always makes a good baddie.

Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster

2011-09-30T02:34:00.000-07:00

Movie: Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster
Cast: Jimmy Shergill, Randeep Hooda, Mahie Gill
Director: T. Dhulia
Rating: 4/5

In this twisted tale, set in rustic, small-town India, all three characters that make up the title are terrifically layered and intriguing. In this contemporary spin on Guru Dutt's Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, Saheb (Jimmy Shergill) is living off a weathering royal glory. He has a strained relationship with his wife (Mahie Gill) and finds solace in an extra-marital liaison. Lonely and defeated, the wife 'Choti Rani' falls ill.
A hunky driver replacement (Randeep Hooda) is about to change things around a bit. He waltzes, in smug and T-shirted, but is warned at every step. Lalit a.k.a Bubaloo catches the fancy of the Choti Rani. But things are not as they seem.
Saheb plays with fire, ruthlessly plundering those who come in his way. In a messy construction tender matter, lives are taken with Saheb at the helm of things. Naturally, his enemies are plenty.
This is an unpalatable mix of royalty, politics and the underworld that make for strange bedfellows.
The characters are full of surprises – you have the Saheb living in a palace but penniless, his wife whom he loves but also hates, and the gangster of a driver who thinks everyone in the palace is barking mad. One has the power, but no money; another has the money but is yearning for respect; yet another is silently yearning for lost love.
You'll love to hate the characters, and hate to love them! To give away anything else would be sacrilege.
The film is little without the masterful performances. As Saheb, Jimmy Shergill (an able actor who never quite got his due) beautifully expresses the character's dichotomous layers of extreme tenderness and brutality.
Mahie Gill is superb as the Choti Rani who the viewer clamours to decipher, but can't. She carries off her character's vulnerability and good-heartedness with the same élan as her sexuality.
Randeep Hooda is excellent in this highly demanding role and his character proves to be the film's game-changer.
The supporting cast deserves special mention for their solid performances, especially Deepraj Rana as Saheb's loyal assistant, Shreya Narayan as the mistress, Vipin Sharma as the bad guy, Rajeev Gupta as the straight-faced politician, and Deepal Shaw as the smitten girl.
Tigmanshu Dhulia made the superb Haasil (with Jimmy Shergill) in 2003, and then made unremarkable films like Charas and Shagird. Shergill, too, afterHaasil, got lost appearing in nondescript roles. The duo recreates the Haasilmagic with Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster.
Dhulia spins a web-like tale that operates on multiple levels – it's a treacherous, erotic story that's throbbing with dark wit, and explores the good in human beings, as much the deceit in them. The film may have you think back to Vishal Bahrdwaj's Shakespearean Omkara and Maqbool where, in a similar manner, the characters cased the plot developments to move in twists and turns.
Interestingly, the physical intimacy between the characters, a point that has benefitted the film with some controversy, is treated with the same reverence as emotional love.
The film's near-flawless screenplay spells out the story without a hiccup, keeping the viewer hooked at all times. The exceptionally written dialogue is clear-cut, authentic, and delightfully insinuates humour where you least expect it. Music and background score are very good.
Here's a wholesome, hugely satisfying film after a long time. Those who like their stories slightly twisted will love this Machiavellian story with delicious dark humour. A must-watch!
