It is party time for all the kids out there as it is Children’s Day. This is one day that kids look forward to as all the love and affection is bestowed upon them. Near and dear ones try to make them happy and go to any extent to keep the lovely smile on their face.

Every child whether obedient or naughty desire to be free of rules and regulations and enjoy to the fullest. Let’s peep to our television’s Child star’s hearts and read how they wish to celebrate this big day and what actually are they doing on this Children’s day?.

Ulka Gupta -I wish that all kids get holiday, there should be party and merry-making. No restrictions on them and they are allowed to do things according to their wish. If this happens then children should make promises that they will always look after their parents and study properly but I am shooting tomorrow. I may or may not go to my school and meet my principal, also I won’t party with friends

Jheel (Sonu) – I wish Katrina Kaif could come to our school. I would party with her but I am shooting on Children’s day

Sweeni Khara- I would like to play with my friends for the whole day and watch movie with my mom and dad but tomorrow I am actually going to an orphanage in Vasai where my grandmother stays and give them books.

Saloni Dani – I would love to have fun with my friends by inviting them home and play with them and I am not shooting tomorrow so, I may do so

Telekids are quite excited about the big day and their minds fly to wonderful things to do with loved ones but sadly some of these kids are busy as bee and cannot even have a holiday on this good day. We wonder how today’s kids can’t enjoy and fulfill their wishes; we just hope they enjoy whatever they do on special day of Children’s day.

Viveck Vaswani’s much awaited film Dulha Mil Gaya has acquired negative rights for an unrevealed amount. Morpheus Media Ventures recently inked the deal to get hold of the rights.

Confirming the news of acquisition Ramjet Jhunjhunwala, who recently took over the reins of Morpheus Media Ventures said,

“We believe in the movie and Viveck Vaswani. While much has been said about the film, the team at Morpheus used its own judgment to evaluate the potential of movie and went ahead with the deal. We will not only provide financial capital but also our network of distribution partners and marketing that will do justice to a film of this stature.”

Dulha Mil Gaya is a romantic family film set against the backdrop of Punjab and the Caribbean. The film stars Fardeen Khan and Sushmita Sen in the lead roles with Shahrukh Khan in a special appearance. It also happens to be debut directorial venture of Muddassar Aziz.

Dev babu of Chhoti Bahu is on sky nine as he will be soon getting married to the love of his life, Radhika. But it seems the actor has taken it too personally as he had been busy grooming himself for the same.

“Avinash has been busy grooming himself for the wedding. He had been exercising and keeping himself fit. Rubina is also doing the same.”

“Apart from getting a new hairstyle he has seriously got into body building and staying fit thing. In fact both Dev and Radhika has shifted base closer to the sets so that they can save up some travelling time and concentrate on grooming himself,”

We called up Avinash to know more about this fact but he cleverly denied by stating,

“As the contract with the house was over I had to shift the base. Talking about my weight I had put on two kgs.”

“I had got a new hair cut but that’s all part of the show. As the wedding has become the new trend to get the boost in the TRP’s we are hoping here the same. I had gone through several look test and finally got it right, especially for the turban, of whether it looks good or not,”

added the actor.

When asked of whether the show is going the Vivaah way, actor replied,

“I don’t know that but one thing is for sure that this marriage will happen (yeh shaadi zaroor hogi).”

Endhiran is almost there! The much-awaited Rajnikanth film is on the verge of completion of the tiresome long-term filming. Director Shankar kick-started the shooting in September 2008 and has only recently canned the climax fight sequence between Rajnikanth and the villains.

These sequences were shot at an engineering college at Maduravoyal, situated on the outskirts of Chennai. According to the sources, the shot was on Rajnikanth getting out of his car, which was planted with bombs.

But while fleeing the coupe the actor got hurt, as the bombs exploded into kingdom come… Rajnikanth was seen limping all over the place and the entire crew including action choreographer Peter Hein were appalled presuming that he was injured.

But as soon as the shot got over Rajnikanth, got back to his normal walk, thereby laying rest to the suspicion of him being hurt in the shooting blast.

When we approached the associates of director Shankar to inquire on the release status of the film, they stated that the film would hit the theater screens in April 2010.

Imran Khan is looking forward to the arrival of one of the guests for his engagement ceremony celebration in January 2010. It is none other than his biological father, Anil Pal, who will be coming from the US to be with Imran for the celebration.

The inaugural Mumbai International Children’s Film Festival (MICFF), organized by The Ryan Foundation, concluded with a grand Closing Ceremony. The star-studded ceremony was jam-packed with children and parents, held at St. Andrews Auditorium, Bandra, Mumbai.

Madam Grace Pinto, Managing Director, Ryan Foundation welcomed the special jury members, the guests and all the children and parents for the finale of MICFF’09.

Many renowned celebrities were present to celebrate this mega event. Amongst the honorable guests were Mr. Anupam Kher, Mr. Amole Gupte, Mr. John Jerome Lee, Ms. Uma Da Cunha, Mr. Aftab Shivdasani, Aamna Sharif, Shriya Saran, Mr. Balkrishnan-Bureau Chief, and many more.

Actress Daisy Bopana from the film Garam Masala fame was also seen after a long hiatus, who is making a comeback in Bollywood, as well as actor Parikshit Sahni was seen at the closing ceremony. And if it’s a Children Film festival, the cynosure of everybody eyes was the immensely likeable Purav Bhandare, the exceptional child artiste who played the lead in Santosh Sivan’s film ‘TAHAAN‘

Every speaker on the dais spoke about their heart felt need to encourage children film, made from their perspective. The entertainment program started off with children with varied Indian costumes, performing the rendition of 5 children’s film songs. It was followed by an enthralling performance by the Children Comic Opera from Romania, which brought forth the global outlook of the festival.

The much awaited competition outcome was revealed before the super charged audience. In the World Cinema: Feature film category Frogs and Toads from Netherlands won The Golden Mango Award, leaving behind the favorite ‘Mommo-The Bogeyman’ (Turkey) on second place and Little Robbers (Latvia) on third.

In the Short Film Category, Home Away from Home (Finland) bagged the first prize while Paul’s Grandpa and Hakim both from Germany secured second and third place respectively.

Animation Short Film category too witnessed a close competition. USA’s Gerald’s Last Day receives first prize followed by Special Deeds for Special Needs (India) on second and The Children’s Tree (Germany) on the third position.

In the Children’s Produced Film Category, Navrachana School, Vadodra bagged both the first and the second position. While the first prize went to ‘The sapling and the soul, ‘Towards a better tomorrow’ stayed on a second position. The third place was secured by Campion School’s, ‘Fire the Firecrackers’.

The Winning film in the World Cinema: Feature Film Category received a cash prize of 1,00,000 INR, While the Winners of the Short Film and Animation Film got 25,000 INR each. As promised by the festival, films created during the workshops held at the Whistling Woods International were premiered in an overcrowded auditorium. The films created by the students were a short film-’Break Down’ and Animation Film-’The Snail and Caterpillar’. Megan Mylan’s Academy Award Winning film ‘Smile Pinki’ was screened as the Closing Film of MICFF ‘09.

Finally the speculations have come to an end as Shamita Shetty has walked out of Bigg Boss house this weekend. With the ouster of Tanaaz, Shamita too leaves the home to attend her sister’s wedding.

“It was seen that Shamita was eager to go out of the house since she heard about her sister, Shilpa Shetty’s wedding with Raj Kundra. She just couldn’t wait for any moment and requested Bigg Boss to grant her permission to leave the house,”

“Shamita is very happy to be part of the celebration which is in Khandala. But for now she is back to her house in Mumbai and is leaving no stone unturned for the wedding.”

According to Meghna’s friend, Meghna, who has been maintaining a low profile lately, was supposed to start her film Milte Hain this year, but has now postponed it to next year.

Gulzar and Rakhee, her parents are very excited. Meghna, who is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her baby, confirmed the news.

Filmmaker Vipul Shah has announced that he is set to give a sequel to Singh Is Kinng. The film will star both Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.

Vipul is almost ready with the script and has finalized Akshay and Katrina for the sequel. This time, the film will be made on a larger scale.

Vipul confirmed the news stating that the script was written keeping them in mind. And he felt that it was necessary to cast them both in the film, as he is sure audiences want to see more of their pair.

The film will begin shooting by mid- 2010.

Saif Ali Khan seems to be extra-critical about his and ladylove Kareena’s performance in the forthcoming film Kurbaan. The very fact that he watched Kurbaan twice, once to analyze his and second time to analyze Kareena Kapoor’s performance explains it all.

A Paa music event planned for Children’s Day in Mumbai with Vidya Balan, Abhishek Bachchan, director Balki and composer Ilaiyaraaja, has been cancelled, thanks to the work-obsessed composer who says he cannot tear himself away from his current work in Chennai to attend the function.

Confirming this development Balki says,

“We had planned a formal music launch on Children’s Day in Mumbai. But Raja Sir is busy doing the background score for Paa. In fact I’m with him right now. He says there’s no way he would break his creative process to attend the function. We all respect his wishes. We’ve cancelled the formal music release.”

Now the music soundtrack of Paa simply hits outlets from tomorrow without a formal release.

For Children’s Day Balki will release a number of messages from the Big B in the voice of the child Auro for kids all over the world.

Interestingly Mr. Bachchan won’t appear in person for any of the promotional activities of Paa.

She was recently on her way to Ooty for the shooting and got stranded because of the rains. The rains led to a landslide, which in turn led to a traffic jam and the actress reached the sets after she was helped by a few crewmembers.

Actor Devaraj has grabbed everyone’s attention with his performance in IPC Section 300. His new look and his dialogue delivery in the film have wowed everyone. In fact, he is one of the best features of the film, along with Srujan Lokesh and Vijaya Raghavendra. The film is doing well with audiences.

Filmmakers seem to have some kind of attachment to the title ‘Drona‘, even though it hasn’t boded well for the movies released with the title. The Bollywood film, Drona, flopped badly.

A Telugu movie was then released with the same name but it too was a box office turkey. It got some popularity and recognition only because of Priyamani’s bikini scenes.

This time, a Malayalam movie with the name Drona, starring Mammootty and Kaniha is going to start shooting soon. Let’s see if this changes Drona’s history of bad luck.

Lakshmi Rai is frustrated with rumours of her dating her personal trainer, Prasad. These have sprung up after they were living in adjacent rooms in the same hotel.

She has tried to clarify by stating that this is because he had to train her at 5am everyday and needed to be nearby. She also said that such rumours will affect Prasad’s family and career as he is getting engaged soon.

There were reports of Lakshmi being involved with cricketer MS Dhoni before.

Asin has been bombarded with questions from her fans ever since her second Bollywood film, London Dreams, didn’t do well. They have asked her why she needed to sign a film where she didn’t have much of a role.
