Aamir Katrina paired in Untitled Guru Dutt Biography

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s next will be a movie based on Guru Dutt’s biography by Nasreen Munni Kabeer. The movie will have Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif in the role of Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman. Before this, Guru Dutt had himself made the movie ‘Kagaz Ke Phool’ based on his own life. Later filmmaker Johnny Bakshi made ‘Khudaai’ in which Rajesh Khanna was cast to play Guru Dutt.

In keeping with the roles they are to play in this yet untitled film, Aamir and Katrina posed for the latest issue of ‘Cineblitz’ in the look and getup of the original actors Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman.

The intense romance exuded by this photograph is subtle, yet exotic. The couple looks extraordinarily beautiful. Check out the pic for yourself.

This Monday, Mumbai saw the music release of Abbas Mastaan’s romantic thriller ‘Runaway’. The film which is being produced by 171 Entertainment Private Limited stars Deepal Shaw, Tulip Joshi, Lucky Ali and debutant actor Amarjeet.

Tulip is playing the role of a bar dancer for the first time in the film and has shot a real sexy time number for the film. “In this film there is a lot of freshness and for me the character which I play which is that of a bar dancer

Former Bond girl Denise Richards has done some passionate scenes with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar in “Kambakkht Ishq” and says he is a good kisser.

Richards insists that no man in Bollywood can match his skills.

“Akshay was so down to earth and very genuine. He made me feel very comfortable, plus he’s a good kisser! I can see why he’s India’s sexiest actor,” said Richards

She admits she struggled with the language barrier while filming her first Bollywood movie, but got a helping hand from her co-stars and hopes to do another Bollywood film.

It doesn’t matter if Akshay Kumar has not delivered a single hit this year, he continues to find support and words of praise from his oft repeated co-stars Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, who have not lost confidence in one of their “favourite co-stars”.

One of the highest paid actors in tinsel town, Akshay gave two big-budget flops this year with “Chandni Chowk To China” and “8X10 Tasveer“.

Akshay is going to again test the box-office waters with debut director Sabbir Khan’s “Kambakkht Ishq” releasing July 3 and his co-star in the movie Kareena says she has not lost confidence in him. “Akshay is one of my

favourite co-stars and it’s (’Kambakkht Ishq’) one of his best till date. He’s got all the ingredients to make a super film,” Kareena recently told reporters here.

“Hope audiences give us more love and support and I’m sure Sabbir, me and Akshay have a winner on our hands with ‘Kambakkht Ishq’,” added Kareena who has done films like “Ajnabee“, “Talaash“, “Aitraaz“, “Bewafaa” and “Tashan” with the actor.

Khan echoed the same thoughts and told: “Every actor goes through failures and ups and downs in his or her career… Akshay is a brilliant actor with a perfect comic timing.”

Katrina who has starred with the actor in movies like “Hum Ko Deewana Kar Gaye” and back-to-back hits like “Namastey London”, “Welcome” and “Singh Is Kinng” is also all praise for the actor.

“I’ve learnt so much from Akshay and I learn so much from him about films every time we are on the sets. He knows so much about cinema. His career has really taken a great turn with the time he’s spent in the industry,” Katrina told.

Katrina, who is also appearing with the actor in movies like “Blue” (not opposite each other) and “De Dana Dhan”, said: “In fact it was his wife Twinkle who recommended that I should be there opposite him in ‘De Dana Dan’. So I was like ‘wow, thank you!’ but it’s always a pleasure to work with him. You get to learn so much from him,” she said.

Akshay’s other projects include “Action Replay”, “Komagata Maru”, “Housefull” and “Helloo India”.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are now coming together in their upcoming movie named as Qurban. The movie was earlier named as Jehad but Rensil has now officially named the movie as Qurban.

Both the actors revealed about the flick Jehad some time ago, but since Rensil is not sure about the title of the film, so now Saif and Kareena has to eat their words. As soon as the title Qurbaan is made official, Karan and Rensil are planning to call a press conference to correct the media perception that film is Jehad.

The much married tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi is suddenly in the news for his performance off court rather than on. Just weeks after he was all over Raima Sen at a nightclub, buzz is that he is now seeing Lara Dutta. As for the Lara-Dino relationship, nobody really knows why the two broke up. Lara, of course, wasted no time and has moved on to Mahesh Bhupathi. Incidentally, Dino is aware of the new man in Lara’s life and has accepted that his relationship with the actress is over.

A source said, “Lara and Dino, who were dating for a year, called off their relationship almost three months ago. That’s when Lara met Mahesh through a common friend and the two instantly liked each other and started dating. Mahesh’s marriage to Shwetha Jaishankar has been on the rocks for quite sometime now. The tennis star and Lara have been going strong ever since they met. Lara and Mahesh are making sure not to make any public appearances together as their relationship is hush hush right now.”

Amrita Rao has shed her girl-next-door image and slipped into a sexy two-piece for a song called Pal Pal in her latest film, Short Kut: The Con Is On. The actress is obviously hoping to cash in on the latest bikini trend in Bollywood.

Amrita had the regular college girl look in her debut film, Ishq Vishk as well as her big hit, Main Hoon Na. But the young actress seems to want to move beyond the simple look to a bolder one.

The Short Kut song, with Arshad Warsi, looks like the transition has been successful.

This is not the first time Amrita has tried her hand at being sexy. Her earlier film, My Name is Anthony Gonsalves, saw the actress in skimpy outfits as well. But it bombed at the box office.

Soon after, she switched over to a traditional look in Vivaah and Welcome To Sajjanpur.

India’s loss against England not only sent the Indian team packing, but it also brought the promotion of Love Aaj Kal to a premature halt
The producers of Love Aaj Kal had a promotional tie-up with the broadcasters of the T20 World Cup. Accordingly, lead actors Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, co-producer Dinesh Vijan and director Imtiaz Ali left for London on Thursday.

They reached for the India vs England match, but when England sent India packing, the crew was disappointed and decided to return home. According to the plan, Saif and Deepika were supposed to appear in the commentary box for a few matches that India would play.

They had also planned to shoot a promotional video during their stay in London. A source said, “Saif and company decided there was no point in staying in London since India was out of the series.

They learnt that very few Indians would attend the matches of other countries.” While Dinesh Vijan refused to comment, Imtiaz Ali said, “We only went for the India vs England match. We were not supposed to promote the film
in the remaining matches.”

Story:Suhani (Gayatri Patel) is a passionate young dancer, who has dreamt of being a star for her entire life. She lives with her best friend Anoushka (Sugandha Garg) and teaches dance at a rented hall owned by Sharmaji (Anjan Srivastav). Meanwhile, fourteen year old street kid Aftab (Abhaas Yadav), also a gifted dancer, has never dreamt of being anything in life. While Suhani can see nothing beyond starring in a music video, Aftab cannot see beyond spending his life on the mean streets of Mumbai with a gang of kids, including his brother Ali (Nikuunj Padaya) and closest friend Kallu (Paras Arora). Suhani is moved by the talent these street kids possess and wants the world to give them their due.

Enter Neil (Ajay Chaudhary), who not only falls head-over-heels in love with Suhani but also decides to help her realise her dreams of becoming a dancing star. The only thing that’s stopping Neil from winning her love is popular video director Rehaan Jones aka RJ, who is more determined to make Suhani the next superstar.

Synopsis:Lets Dance is the film about a girl who gives direction in life to a group of street kids. Young and peppy, she is a dancer who runs her own dance school and plays the catalyst in the story. She comes in contact with a bunch of street kids and hence begins a journey that is full of life, drama, fun and fresh sparkle. It has dreams and the grit to believe in them. It carries an underlying sense of social obligation but the story is treated with youthful appeal and feel good factor. In this journey, she is accompanied by friends, but eventually the journey is her to make. Will she be able to catch the glimmer of light and change it into sunshine? Minissha Lamba & Sreenath - New lovebirds

After from its glamour and glitter, the IIFA event at Macau has given the Bollywood columns some other things to write for too. There is some spicy news doing rounds that our desi hot actress Minissha Lamba stole a very passionate kiss with cricketer Sreenath during the extravaganza. There are rumors that Minissha had a cozy time with the Indian pacer Sreesanth at a casino in Macau where the two gave company to each other until the wee hours of morning.

Minissha, on the other hand, is quite upset with the rumors and calls them baseless. Though she doesn’t deny meeting Sreenath at the casino and also that she is fond of him, she claims that she was there with 25 other people.

Says Minissha, ““I met Sree for only 20 minutes… He is a very sweet and genuine person.”

Minissha also adds that she was definitely not there for so late in the morning and also that she has never in her life has she displayed any kind of affection publicly.

Celina Jaitley upset with her co-star’s publicity stunts

Celina Jaitley has always been known as a bold, outspoken and daring Bollywood actress who does not hesitate to stand up against anything wrong. So, when her co-star Abhimanyu Singh decided to bag in some publicity at her cost, it was quite expected that the actress flew into a rage and decided to retort back.

Abhimanyu is a newcomer who is acting opposite Celina in a thriller directed by Jagmohan Mundhra and has been giving his excuses and take on his alleged linkup with the actress. He went ahead to give an interview about how upset he was to read about his link-up with Celina.

Celina, on the other hand, feels that the question and topic of this linkup is nothing but the brainchild of Abhimanyu himself who is doing this to get some cheap publicity. An angry Celina said, “”What link-up is he talking about? Who linked him with me except himself? This is the first time I’ve heard about this so-called link-up.”

She adds, “This is a perennial problem. You are nice to a co-star and he decides to repay your kindness by planting cheap stories. Recently, it happened to me when a co-star, who’s a dear friend, whom I don’t want to name, gave out a story about how he ‘manhandled’ me on the sets. I didn’t react because all said and done, he’s a dear friend and a name in his own right. But Abhimanyu is a talented actor and I was just being nice to him as a co-star.”

Celina can barely control her anger and expresses her disappointment saying, “Next time I’ll think twice before being nice to a co-star. But it’s sad to see actors, established or not-so-established using their co-star’s name for publicity. They take advantage of my single status and friendly nature. But do they realize how such sleazy whispers could jeopardize my prospects of finding love?”

She also sent an SMS to Abhimanyu Singh which read, “Abhimanyu, u better stop talking about this so called link up. In the first place there’s no link up, so stop going to the media and crying about things which don’t exist.”

Amrita Rao takes a ‘Shortkut’ to success

‘Shortkut’ may be termed as the re-incarnation for Amrita Rao into a glamorous and sizzling avatar from a petite, girl-next-door image. The gossip columns and journals are abuzz with the sensuality she oozes in the promos of the film. Amrita, by far had kept away from skin-show but finally she has realized that if she aspires of success in the glamour world, she has to take the ‘Shortcut’ of being bold and sexy. And her realization does show in the sizzling hot promos of the film.

The film is a light-hearted comedy dealing with the ups and downs in the life of two con artists, Shekhar (played by Akshaye Khanna) who is a struggling director and Chandu (played by Arshad Warsi) who despite lacking in talents manages to make it big in the tinsel town after she steals Shekhar’s prized script.

Amrita Rao plays the role of Mansi, Shekhar’s love interest who later becomes his wife and what follows is confusion, clash of egos and humorous sequences when Shekhar gets to direct Chandu, the superstar.

‘Pyaar Impossible’ is the upcoming movie from Yash Raj films which has been scripted by Uday Chopra and also stars Uday Chopra alongwith Priyanka Chopra and Jugal Hansraj. Uday plays the role of Abhay who is an awkward, bespectacled geek where Priyanka plays the role of Alisha, a stunning beauty.

Recently, Uday and Priyanka were in Bangkok shooting for the film where Priyanka displayed her funloving and adventurous side by taking a dive into a swimming pool from a four-storey film board into a 40 feet swimming pool just to have fun. Following her was Uday, who got hurt in the attempt. This was not a part of the shoot. The actors were just in a mood to have some fun and adventure.

The strike is over and Fridays have become fun again with films gearing up for releases after a long dry spell that left the audience craving for some entertainment. Well the upcoming comic caper Shortkut The Con Is On is sure to tickle your funny bone with antics from Arshad Warsi accompanied by Akshaye Khanna and Amrita Rao. Bollywood Gossips brings to its viewers a look at the title track Patli Galli, of the film Shortkut.

We have seen number of wardrobe malfunctions during fashion shows, this could be first one while shooting a song. Ever so sober and cute Amrita Rao got into tight spot when her top ‘Choli’ came off while shooting.

This all happened while shooting for a song ‘Mariz-e-Mohabbat’ featuring Anil Kapoor and Amrita Rao for movie ‘ShortKut’. So, did Amrita cry or run away after extreme accidental exposure?

Well, she may look fickle - but this girl is brave and got loads of guts. After the slip Amrita went to her vanity van, fixed her dress and came back to shoot the complete song. Bravo Amrita - you rock big time, no slip here!

Kareena Kapoor is looking forward to the release of her much-talk-about film Kambakkht Ishq, where she acts with Hollywood biggies Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh. It also has her favourite Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar in the lead role.

Even more than the cast of the film, Kareena’s bikini scene has created lots of interest amongst the film buffs. The Sexy and daring actress justified the scene by saying that she couldn’t help but wear a swimsuit in a swimming scene, as she couldn’t wear jeans under Water.

Kareena also played down the rumours of her request to the makers of the film to cut the promos which features her in bikini. She said it is the work of the producers to choose the scenes for promotion.

The hyped around is huge as of now but we’ll come to know its fate only when it hits the theatres on July 10. Watch out!

Preity and Deepika, BSNL data cards remain unsold

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has a novel excuse to offer for not being able to sell thousands of data cards in Pune and nearby areas. For the last 10 days or so, it had been struggling to pull off the picture of its erstwhile brand ambassador Preity Zinta from the wrapper and replace them with that of Deepika Padukone who is currently endorsing the product.

In fact, the telecom giant was unable to sell its data cards for the last two months, ever since the data cards landed in the city, as the sale of this product with the wrong brand ambassador would have meant breach of contract. The data card based on GSM technology was launched six months ago. The USP of the data card is that one can use it on laptops to access Internet anywhere in the country.

Though the cards were made available in other parts of the country, some parts of the western zone of BSNL like Pune received the stock only two months ago.

ince then, the sale of the product was stalled by the efforts to replace the wrapper covers.

Preity Zinta’s agreement had ended in January and thus legally the BSNL could no longer use her photographs on this product. But the cards that reached the western zone of the BSNL had the photographs of the actress on all wrappers, leading to an impasse — something that has just been solved.

“We had to remove the wrappers that had photographs of Preity Zinta and only then could sell it. It would have been a breach of agreement had we sold the product with her photographs,” said Chandra Prakash, chief general manager of BSNL western zone.
