Race 2

noreply@blogger.com (NK) — Sat, 26 Jan 2013 10:15:00 +0000

Race 2 is an action thriller film directed by Abbas-Mustan and produced under the Tips Music Films banner and is the first major release of the year. It is the sequel to the 2008 hit film, Race, and stars an ensemble cast that includes Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan reprising their roles as Robert D'Costa and Ranveer Singh from the previous film while Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel are new additions to the cast. Bipasha Basu will reprise her role of Sonia in a special appearance.

IBN Live gave the soundtrack four stars of five saying, "Race 2's soundtrack is racy to the core. In a nutshell, the album is bound to be a hit. Let's just hope the movie is as good as the soundtrack is!" Shresht Poddar, of Score Magazine, gave the album three out of five stars saying, "Personally, as a standalone album with no biases, it is enjoyable but it could have done with better lyrics. The tracks are foot-tapping and they would appeal to the masses. But if you compare it to Race, the album undoubtedly falls flat." Goku, of IndiBeats! included the album in the 'average' category commenting that "No doubt Pritam has worked on the album well, there is a fair deal of DJing done, but something is amiss and hence the album is worth a hear, nothing more."

Race 2 was released in 3200 screens in India and the film is the third biggest release ever for a Hindi film after Ek Tha Tiger(3300 screens) and Dabangg 2(3700 screens). Race 2 received mixed reviews from critics. FilmGola, aggregated Race 2 reviews and has given a rating of 2.67 out of 5 based on 18 critics. Madhureeta Mukherjee of Times of India rated Race 2 3 out of 5 star while commenting "Heists, hot-babes, roulette, raging cars, gizmos and gags - Director duo, Abbas-Mustan have thrown in everything with pompous grandeur, save for a riveting plot that shocks or stuns". Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave the film 2.5 out of 5 stars and said "The writing isn't watertight, the film lacks a hit score, the climax is far from effective and overall, Race 2 pales in comparison to Race." Race 2 gets negative reviews everywhere. Subhash K Jha of IANS rated this movie 2 out of 5 Stars.Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV gave it a score of 1.5 out of 5 and feels "This is a wreck of a movie strictly for action junkies who might be looking for a feverish two-and-a-half-hour ride that is far more giddy than heady"

Aarakshan starring Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone is directed by Prakash Jha, who also directed Raajneeti, it is a high voltage socio-political drama based on one of the most controversial policies of caste based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions. Like the majority of Jha's films, it takes on issues about the society and political affairs of India. The film will also star Prateik Babbar and Manoj Bajpai. Music is composed by Shankar - Ehsaan - Loy and Prasoon Joshi wrote the lyrics.

Story : At the start we see that Deepak (Saif Ali Khan) goes for an interview at a particular institute, for the post of a professor only to get insulted. The people taking the interview ask Deepak his full name. Deepak very calmly replies and says Deepak Kumar. Things begin to get worse when the interviewers ask Deepak about his family background and more importantly his father's name. Deepak tells them he has never seen his father and it was his mother who brought him up. The conversation turns ugly when the interviewers question Deepak that if his mother does not know her own background, then how is he even supposed to know his. By this time, Deepak gets infuriated and says to the interviewers if he had not inherited manners, then he would have printed the institute's name on each interviewer's forehead; with a lot of wrath within his heart he walks off.

As Deepak requires a job as soon as possible he goes for interview at another institute with the name of the institute being Shakuntala Thakral College. At that college we see a disciplined professor by the name of Prabhkar Anand (Amitabh Bachchan). Prabhkar Anand interviews Deepak and accepts him as a professor. Prabhkar's daughter also studies at the same college and that is also where Poorbie (Deepika Padukone) and Deepak meet each other. They meet seldom and ultimately fall in love. Also Sushant Seth (Prateik Babbar) is seen to be their friend. But not just Deepak's friend however best friend.

The story builds up when all the relationships start tearing up due to the deadly topic of Reservation raises its nasty head. The star pupil who Prabhkar Anand trusts the prime, Deepak also accuses Prabhkar Anand of being a cast-est when one side of India stand against all Dal-its. Literally Deepak accuses Prabhkar because nor is he against the nasty topic of Reservation nor with it. Hearing this Poorbie gets very annoyed and decides to explain to Deepak that the way in which he spoke to her father was not acceptable. But Deepak is not regrettable as he knows whatever he has done is not wrong. after consideration they patch up. Though now Poorbie and Prabhkar's wife (Tanvi Azmi) have also started to feel that he has never given them much happiness.

From then onwards he promises them to keep them happy forever. As long as the devil subsists how can anyone remain happy, it's no other than Mithilesh Singh (Manoj Bajpai). Deepak argues with him and he sends him to jail. There Prabhkar comes and gets Deepak bailed. Prabhkar also faces humiliation by Mithilesh Singh who calls him a zero This film is literally about the Educational Institution of (Reservation).

7 Khoon Maaf (Saat Khoon Maaf) songs

noreply@blogger.com (NK) — Fri, 28 Jan 2011 15:43:00 +0000

7 Khoon Maaf (also known as Saat Khoon Maaf) is a thriller and black comedy film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. The film, based on Ruskin Bond's short story, Susanna's Seven Husbands, features seven male leads with Naseeruddin Shah who plays the oldest husband, John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh as well as Irrfan Khan, Annu Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah's youngest son Vivaan Shah, as the youngest husband and Russian actor Aleksandr Dyachenko, in the roles of the seven husbands. Priyanka Chopra will be seen playing a negative character.

A story of an Anglo-Indian woman Susanna Anna-Marie Johannes, a beautiful woman who goes on to kill all her seven husbands.
In this film, Priyanka Chopra's character ages from 20-65 and will be seen going through seven different age makeovers as wife of seven different aged men at different stages of her life, for which prosthetics had to play a heavy part. And for that, director Vishal Bhardwaj has hired Hollywood special make-up effects artist, Greg Cannom of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), to create those seven different looks for Priyanka's role in the film. And out of those the most challenging one was that of the 65-year-old woman, for which the make-up team has used Priyanka's grandmother’s photo to try and make her look as close to her as possible. During the process, Priyanka did not eat or drink anything for hours for the shoots that involved prosthetics. Vishal also wanted Priyanka to put on some weight to fit the bill of the character.
The film's score and songs are composed by Vishal Bhardwaj and the lyrics are penned by Gulzar. The official soundtrack contains seven songs and two reprise versions. The soundtrack was digitally released on Ovi (Nokia) on 21 January 2011. It was physically released on 24 January 2011.

Raajneeti

noreply@blogger.com (NK) — Mon, 29 Mar 2010 22:11:00 +0000

Rajneeti is a story about Indian politics. About Indian democracy. About Indian elections. Above all,it is the story of a few people who control the destiny of millions. It is the story of their unstoppable ambition, and their bitter and violent battle to achieve it.This is the story of people who understand power and know how to wield it at will. It is the story of Bhasker Sanyal ( Naseeruddin Shah), the fire-brand leftist leader,as feared for his single-handed ability to challenge the most powerful of leader as he was respected for his political integrity.Until one private mistake of his hurtled him into a self-imposed exile and spawned a secret consequence that shook the destiny of the political future of the state.

And of Sooraj (Ajay Devgan) who rose from the backward classes with anger in his heart and leadership on his mind. And yet,his destiny could never overcome the tragedy of his birth, trapping him in a terrible dilemma where his loyalty to his friend threatens to destroy his own family. Of Brij Gopal (Nana Patekar),who shunned every political ambition even as he continued to mentor and guide the younger generation of leaders while the battle got bloodier by the day. It is the story of Prithvi Pratap (Arjun Rampal),heir to a powerful political legacy and impatient to seize the top position.A man with a heart of gold but who is all brawn.A man whose uncontrollable passions bring his family to the brink of political extinction.

And of Veerendra Pratap (Manoj Bajpai),whose lunge at the throne was thwarted even as he was within striking distance of it.A man who believes he was born to rule, and who will now stop at absolutely nothing to claw his way back to the top.

Of Indu Sakseria (Katrina Kaif),the princess - beautiful, passionate, arrogant. She had only one all -consuming love.Little did she know that her personal happiness was dependent on the changing electoral fortunes of her love, and that even a slight shift in the faultiness's of political negotiation would cause a devastating earthquake in her personal life. And yet, this spirited never-say-die diva rose from the ashes of her tragedy to challenge every contender,over-turning the political future of the state. Of Sarah Jean Collins (Sara Thompson),who came from one of the bloodiest and most violent places on earth.Who escaped from there, bruised, hurt and fell in love with a soul-mate who shares a similar legacy. And her abhorrence for it.And yet, when he was sucked into his destiny, this innocent bewildered girl's private world was thrown as under.

And,it is the story of Samar Pratap (Ranbir Kapoor),the ultimate outsider. The political conscientious objector, who got reluctantly sucked into the battle-ravaged arena of family rivalry.Only to turn into a master of the craft of political warfare. It is the story of the woman that he loved, and the one that and lost him.It is the story of his determined and fierce fight to protect his family.Of the bloodiest of final battles in a war alien to his character. It is the story of a man's descent into the moral hell that is Indian politics.

It is the story of a fiercely fought elections campaign, where money-power and corruption are the accepted norms, and where treachery and manipulation are routinely used weapons. As the personal drama of these conflict-ridden characters unfolds against this gritty backdrop, love and friendship become mere baits and relationship get sacrificed at the altar of political alignments. The darkness that rises from the souls threatens to envelope all that they hold precious.Until eventually,in the crescendo of increasing violence, the line between good and evil blurs, making it impossible to distinguish heroes from villains

Raajneeti is the story of Indian democracy. And its underside. It is about politics. And beyond.

All The Best songs

noreply@blogger.com (NK) — Wed, 16 Sep 2009 20:01:00 +0000

All The Best - Fun Begins is directed by Rohit Shetty the director of Golmaal and Golmaal Returns . Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu and Mugdha Godse appear in pivotal roles in the movie. Music is composed by Pritam

Money is an excellent servant, but can be a horrible master’ finely defines a situation where an incredibly varied cast of characters weave together a story under one roof that constantly builds in intensity and surprise. As Rohit Shetty has always been known for his mindboggling heroic action sequences and splendid comedy, ‘All the best’ is a fine combination of just everything.

A wannabe car expert Prem Chopra (Ajay Devgn) with his beautiful wife Jhanvi (Bipasha Basu) running his ancestral gym, a claiming to be married upcoming rock band singer Veer Kapoor (Fardeen Khan) who’s living on his brother’s pocket money and Veer’s ravishing girlfriend Vidya (Mugdha Godse). Just when everything is going great guns in their lives , enters the upcoming singer’s millionaire step brother Dharam Kapoor(Sanjay Dutt) bringing with him stumbling madness and generating hilariously awkward situations in just everyone’s life around. Life becomes challenging for Veer and Prem when Veer’s brother, Dharam pays an unexpected visit to Veer’s place. In order to have his allowance increased, young bachelor Veer had written to his pocket money sourced brother that he is married. Time does not give an opportunity and Dharam’s unpredicted stopover creates inescapable circumstances where Prem’s wife Jhanvi is mistaken for Veer’s wife and Veer’s girlfriend for Prem’s wife.

Apparently Veer is also qualified to be in the hate list of Vidya’s father. Veer and Prem start juggling between the prolonging debt payment to a local don and appeasing Dharam about their false marital status. The outcome results into rib-tickling humorous state where Veer and Prem handle the multiple vague characters arriving unexpectedly at their place and dealing with acquaintances where they proudly swank and cover up everything with lies, lies and more lies. Even the world’s best jugglers can juggle for a limited time. How far do these guys hold on? Hassled, pressurized and scrutinized, do they give up at one point? Or does the new player on the block also has something wrapped underneath all these events. We can just say ALL THE BEST to that!
