16 जुलाई 2004, सलमान और शाहरुख के रिश्तो का सबसे काला दिन था। ऐसे तो कई बार शाहरुख और सलमान के बीच छोटे-मोटे झगड़े होते रहे है।

शाहरुख खान के निर्देशन मे बन रही पहली फिल्म चलते-चलते

जन्मदिन (16 जलाई 2004)के दिन सलमान खान के बुलाने पर पुरा बॉलीवुड (शाहरुख, बिपाशा, रितेश देशमुख) एक साथ एक
छत के नीचे जमा हुए था। उस वक़्त शाहरुख खान एक शो के
होस्ट हुआ करते थे, जिसका नाम "क्या आप पांचविं पास है" था।
सलमान ने शाहरुख खान के इस शो का मजाक उड़ा दिया, फिर
शाहरुख खान ने पलट कर जवाब देते हुए ऐश के बारे कुछ भला-
बुरा कहा। सलमान यह बात सुनने के बाद अपना आपा खो बैठे और दोनो मे कहा-सुनी शुरू हो गयी, ये छोटी सी बात दोनो को
हाथापाई करने पर मजबूर कर दिया।

यह दुश्मनी कई दिनो तक ऐसे ही चलती रही। पर कहते है न, की "वही होता है जो मंजूरे खुदा होता है"। दोनो बाबा सिद्दीकी के इख़्तियार पार्टी मे शामिल हुए थे। वहाँ मौजूद सारे लोग एक दूसरे
से गले मिल रहे थे, तभी शाहरुख गले मिलते-मिलते सलमान खान
के सामने पहुँच गए और फिर जो हुआ वहाँ मौजूद सारे लोग देखते रह गए। शाहरुख और सलमान 13 साल से चली आ रही सारे सिकवे-गिले भूला कर दोनो एक दूसरे से गले मिले।

ऐसे तो बॉलीवुड मे हमेसा से सुपरस्टार के बीच तकरार कि खबरे आती रही हैं। लेकिन जब सलमान और विवेक ओबेरॉय के बिच तकरार कि खबरे बॉलीवुड मे गूंजी, तो सारा बॉलीवुड सोच मे पर गया, कि आखिर ये हो क्या गया।

दिन था 31 मार्च 2003 जब बॉलीवुड का सबसे बड़ा वार दो सुपरस्टार के बीच शुरू हुआ। जैसा कि हम जानते है, कि यह
वार एक दूसरी सुपरस्टार ऐश्वर्या राय को लेकर था। विवेक ओबेरॉय ने प्रेस कॉंफ़्रेंस कर के यह जानकारी दि, कि सलमान
ने उन्हे फोन कर के धमकि दि है। उसके बाद यह खबर सुर्खिया
बन गई। माना जाता है, कि सलमान खान उस समय बहुत बड़े
सुपरस्टार थे और वही विवेक सुपरस्टार बनने के मध्य कोशिश
कर रहे थे, इसी कारण विवेक के कैरियर मे बहुत बड़ा ब्रेक लग
गया।
यह बॉलीवुड के इतिहास मे कभी न खत्म होने वाला वार था।
तभी तो एक स्टेज शो मे, जब विवेक ओबेरॉय ने सलमान से
माफी मांगी तो उन्होंने अपना मुह फेर लिया, और इसरो -इसरो
मे उन्हे माफ करने से साफ इनकार कर दिया।

एक बार रजत शर्मा के शो आप कि अदालत मे आये सलमान
खान से जब उनके और विवेक के रिश्ते के बारे मे पूछा गया
कि आपने शाहरुख खान और अभिषेक बच्चन को गले लगाया
तो विवेक ओबेरॉय को क्यु नही माफ किया? सलमान ने पलट
कर जवाब देते हुए कहा, कि हर चीज कि एक एक्सपायरी तिथि
होती है, और शायद विवेक हमारी जिंदगी से expire हो चुके
है।
और इस तरह से यह वार आज भी जारी है।
