Speaking on his latest movie Dabangg, he is all praises for Sonakshi. “Sonakshi has done the film as if she has done 100 films before.”

Well, now comes a more serious and scary part from Sallu bhai. He was asked if his good bonding with Aamir Khan was due to his rivalry with SRK. He immediately got back by saying, “Shahrukh and I don’t talk anymore. We had misunderstanding and hence parted ways.” He also added, “There is no chance of Shahrukh and Salman coming together in future.”

Freida Pinto is not chased around in Bollywood

Two years have gone since the Oscar winning movie Slumdog Millionaire created a buzz and brought Freida Pinto to the limelight, but there have been parctically no roles back home here for her.

“I have done no film in India so it is very hard for people to accept me as an actress. They don’t really know who I am or they probably don’t take me too seriously,” Pinto told New York Times in an interview.

“I haven’t been directly approached to do a Bollywood film. After Slumdog Millionaire I was given scripts to read but was not directly approached. I don’t think I fit the bill,” she added.

The 25-year-old actress will soon be seen in films like You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, Miral, Rise of the Apes and Immortals. “Hollywood definitely have accepted me much more willingly than in India. I am not famous in India. I don’t get chased around,” she said.

After Madhuri Dixit backed out from the project on personal grounds, Indian origin US filmmaker Krishna Shah is now considering casting Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra in the lead role in a biopic on late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Priyanka Chopra will take over Madhuri Dixit’s lead role filmmaker Krishna Shah’s film titled 'Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story'. Madhuri could not do the movie because of her mother-in-law's illness.

Shah is working on the casting with Academy Award winning make-up artiste Jenny Shircore. After going through the photographs of many Indian actresses, Shircore believed that Priyanka was the only Bollywood actress whom she can make look like Indira Gandhi after some prosthetic work on her face.

Shah told the media: “Yes, I am in conversation with Jenny who thinks that Priyanka is the one who can fit in the character of Indira, but it will be too premature to talk about casting as we have not approached anybody as yet.” Shah is reportedly also in conversation with other actors like Albert Finney, Emily Watson, Tom Hanks and Tommy Lee Jones to play other characters in the film.

The script of the movie is not yet final and has also undergone several changes. “The script has been reworked after I got my hands on Richard Nixon's personal tapes related to the 1971 Bangladesh War. My research has changed the script a lot and now we are looking at casting an appropriate face for Indira Gandhi's character.” added Shah.

SRK Releases Robot

About two years ago, Shah Rukh Khan and Shankar had come together to make Robot, a project that was very close to both their hearts. Both of them worked on the script for months before they began squabbling over creative differences.

The title of Shankar’s film was registered with SRK’s company, Red Chillies, which was then meant to produce Robot. But things did not turn out to be nasty at all. When Shankar requested Shah Rukh to release the title of the flick to avoid any legal glitches, the superstar had no second thoughts. In fact, all ill vibes were dissipated with this kind gesture. “Seriously, it does make a difference whom you are married to. The influence in a marriage works both ways. I credit my husband with a lot of what has happened in my career. And I take some credit for his success. He won't mind,” said Kajol, with a mischievous laugh.

Kajol celebrated her 35th birthday on the 5th of August. “The celebrations in my family started much before my birthday. When Ajay and the team of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' saw the collections for the first three days, they were jumping with joy.”

As for her birthday, she spent it with those who matter the most. “I like my family. I like being with them. Unlike most people I've no issues with my family. My mother and sister came over for my birthday. We had lunch and a pooja. That was it,” she said.

Kajol is going to be mom again, and she did have to work for ‘We Are Family’ even after her pregnancy began. “It was just that one last song 'Jailhouse Rock' where I was pregnant. They were very considerate. They changed the steps for me. Earlier, there was quite a lot of jumping and hopping in my steps which I told them I couldn't do. It was very sweet of them to comply.”

She feels that it is not easy to get good roles that do justice to her presence. “At the end of the day it's all about how much justice you do to what's given to you. I need a good producer and a director, like Karan Johar. A film works only when everyone gives his or her best.”

Salman connects well with the police

The 44-year-old Bollywood hunk will be seen as a police officer all over again in Dabangg. “I think because my grandfather was deputy inspector general (DIG) of police, Indore, I have this special thing for the cops. I have also shared a very long relationship...!” said Salman Khanwith a laugh. Some of his earlier movies in a similar avatar have been Wanted, Garv and Auzaar.

The actor also had some run-ins with the law and spent time in jail in 2002 after his car allegedly ran over four people sleeping on a footpath. He once again went behind bars in 2007 in Jodhpur on charges of hunting an endangered deer.

Talking about his being so down to earth, he says, “When you think that you are a normal person, you are not a star; then you don't get impressed by your image that 150, 200 or 500 people have created and crores of people have appreciated that image; if you don't believe in that image of yours and you know for a fact that is not you but a created thing, you will be fine. If you start believing in that image of yours, then you are done with."

Getting to the Dabangg image wasn’t that easy. "I lost a lot of weight and then it looked weird. You are playing a cop who is totally ribbed. I really wanted to look ribbed in the film," said Salman.

"I had just finished Veer and I had to cut my hair very short... I didn't want to. The long hair was looking good. It took so long to grow them; so I didn't want anyone to cut them off."

About sporting his moustache, Salman said: "Five-six months before the film, Arbaaz used to come with different kinds of moustaches every week. I said I'm shooting for a film, can I grow a moustache...Somewhere Sonakshi also had this thing for her dad's moustache. If you see my moustache, it's somewhat like his only," he laughed.

Funnily, Salman is seen doing some really weird dance steps in the songs of Dabangg. Why is that? “Actually in this film, I copied everyone who can't dance. There is a nightclub-dancing style, there is one dancing style when you are in a function, and one dance is when you are drunk and enjoying yourself. This film is dedicated especially to those people who can't dance," he answered humorously.

Karan not only got me the remake rights he also got me the two actresses.”

“The two actresses are the best we have. And there was never an ego issue. Both actresses were super-professional. That is why it took two years to get remake rights and only 64 shifts to make my film. Kajol was a dream. She'd arrive on the dot at 9 a.m. be on the sets for the first shot at 9.30 and we would pack up at 6 p.m. so that she could return to her baby. To me she was the ideal actress wife and mother, and that's what she plays in my film.'

He continues, 'Kajol is addictive. No one can work only once with her. She kept me on my toes. If you work with her you better do your homework, or she will grill you. Karan has taught me to know my characters on my finger tips.” Siddharth can't wait for Kajol to have her second baby so he can make another film with her.

Dhoom Again....Dhoom 3

"Dhoom 3 is being scripted right now... I met Uday (Chopra) yesterday (for the same). It's a franchise and obviously after the success of 'Dhoom' and 'Dhoom 2', we want the next one to do better (hence the wait)," Abhishek Bachchan said.

Abhishek and Uday Chopra will be continuing their chase against thieves in the third part of the sequel.

John Abraham was in the negative role in the first Dhoom released in 2004, while Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan sizzled and thrilled as thief couple in Dhoom 2 which was released in 2006.
The director of part 1 and 2 of the film, Sanjay Gadhvi will be directing the next part too. The film will probably be released in 2012.

On another note, people have started creating false Dhoom 3 trailers in YouTube and other video sharing sites featuring Shah Rukh Khan as the next thief.

At present, Abhishek is busy promoting 'Raavan'. The Mani Ratnam film, is releasing on June 18th in Tamil and Hindi. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays the lead actress in both languages and Tamil superstar Vikram replaces Abhishek in Tamil.

The story is about how they find comfort in their friendship and resolve the situation.

The movie is written and directed by Pravesh Bhardwaj. Music composer of the film is the renowned sitarist and Grammy nominated artist, Ustad Shujaat Husain. Ashwin Mehta is played by Prashant Narayanan. Lucy Hassan and Naved Aslam play important roles in the film. MR SINGH MRS MEHTA will be in theaters on June 25.
