Eight-time world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao sparked a firestorm of criticism in the Philippines after describing gay couples as “worse than animals.”
Nearing the end of a glorious decades-long boxing career, the 37-year-old is reinventing himself as a conservative Bible-bearing politician ahead of the country’s May elections, when he is running for a senate seat.

Talking about Homosexuality, he told local broadcaster TV5 in an interview aired earlier this week "Do you see animals mating with the same sex? Animals are better because they can distinguish male from female,” so“If men mate with men and women mate with women they are worse than animals.”

But following reactions from the country’s most popular gay comedian, Vice Ganda and Singer Aiza Seguerra, who recently married her actress-girlfriend on hisstatement, the boxer has now apologised via his Twitter account.
He said, “I’m sorry for everyone who got hurt due to my comparison of gay people (homosexuals) to animals,” he said. “It was my mistake. Please forgive me for those who I’ve hurt.
“But this does not change my position against same sex marriage. That’s what I believe. My only mistake is comparing gay people to animals.”
Gay marriage is outlawed in the Philippines due to strong opposition from the Catholic Church and 80 per cent of the country’s 100 million people subscribe to the faith.
Gay marriages are officiated at small churches but these unions are not recognised by the church or the state.

Woman Delivered Quintuplets (5 Babies) In Ibadan + Husband Cries For Help

On Monday, a 28-year old woman, Sakirat Rasaq, delivered five babies (three boys and two girls) at the University College Hospital, Ibadan on Monday.
The quintuplets were born at hospital’s special-care baby unit.
Father of the babies, Alfa Yusuf Ewenje, 32, who is a full-time Islamic cleric, adding that his wife was referred to the UCH from Adeoyo State Hospital, Ibadan after they did the scan which shows that his wife was having five babies.

The couple, who already had two children – Umoor (5) and Mistura (3) – lives in the Ijokodo area of Ibadan.

Although Ewenje expressed happiness at the birth of the babies, he said he would need help from well-meaning Nigerians and the Oyo State Government to cater for his large family.
He said, “The situation we found ourselves has exhausted our savings and with five additional children to our family, I need help to feed this family.
“My dream is for them to be leaders in this country, so that no matter my present situation, people will know them for good.
“Though, I am greatly handicapped now because I only make living out of my Quranic teaching class, I want well-meaning people to come to my aid.
“I am using this medium to appeal to the Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, and his wife, Florence, Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, and the Federal Government to come to my aid so that my joy won’t turn sour.”

Dead child is prayed back to life at the Liberation City Church (photos)

On Sunday, February 7, 2016, at the Mountain Miracle and Liberation Ministries, a.k.a Liberation City, a dead child was prayed back to life in a suspense-filled movie-like scenario. Ciara Sues ex-fiance Future for $15m' Over Several False and Defamatory Statement

American Singer Ciara is suing hip hop star, Future, who is also her baby dady for $15 million for making 'several false and defamatory statements' in the press over the past year about her and her ability to be a mother to their son Future Jr and also attacking her relationship with current boyfriend Russell Wilson in a bid to promote his music. TMZ reports below..

In the suit ... obtained by TMZ, Ciara calls out Future for a radio interview in which he discussed a now infamous photo of Wilson pushing Ciara and Future's son in his stroller. Future said, "She probably set him [Russell] up. You letting them catch that photo. Leave my son out of all the publicity stunts."

Ciara points out several other interviews, but she's also pissed about her baby daddy's Twitter rant in January when Future said, "This bitch got control problems ... I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future ... the f***ery for 15k a month."

In the suit, Ciara says she goes out of her way to make sure Future sees their son -- and says they've had at least 19 visitations (some spanning several days) since December 2014.

Just last week TMZ got video of Future and his son in L.A. while Ciara was on vacay with Wilson. We thought it was a sign they were settling their differences, but that's clearly not the case.

Ciara believes Future's comments were said with malice. She's suing for slander and libel, wants all his nasty tweets deleted, and wants him blocked from saying anything about private family matters regarding baby Future ... in the future.

Collision on single-track rail may have been cause by signal failure

Local police call crash 'the biggest accident we have had in years'

At least Eight people were killed and over a hundred were injured in this early morning when two passenger trains collided in the southern German state of Bavaria, police said.

“The current toll is eight dead, 15 critically injured, 40 severely injured and a total of 100 injured,” said police spokesman Martin Winkler.

He said two trains were involved in the crash near Bad Aibling, around 60 km southeast of the Bavarian capital of Munich. The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.

Regional rail company Bayerische Oberlandbahn said in a statement that “a tragic accident occurred on the single-track route between Rosenheim and Holzkirchen this morning shortly after 7:00 am (0600 GMT)”.

It said the trains of the so-called Meridian line both partially derailed and were wedged into each other.

The regional police force in Upper Bavaria tweeted that several hundred emergency services workers were on the scene in the rural area.

A spokesman for German Federal Police in Bavaria, Matthias Knott, told AP that the crash took place “in an inaccessible region” and that rescue personnel were still in the middle of getting passengers out of the trains.

The rail route was closed to traffic, as well as two local roads.
