Celebrity Teeth: Before & After --- from tow up beyond repair TO perfect

Y'all know I decided to get braces, some people ask why, since my teeth were okay and not horrible or jacked up. well why not have them perfect? or as perfect as they can be?

A smile can make a difference, it might be slight but when you fix your teeth be it veneers, braces, invisalign etc it's definitely worth it. When deciding on getting braces a lot of stuff might run through your head, like kissing, social awkwardness, reduced attraction, the fact they might have to pull out your teeth or what not. But just think in a year or two, you'll have the perfect smile. take any celebrity's smile, now put it in ur face, Trust me a lot of them went born with "Hollywood smiles."

I've had a lot of friends fix their teeth, and though slight, it makes a lot of difference, he or she is no longer the person with the "buck teeth," extra teeth, spaced out teeth or what not. A lot of people have asked me questions since I got braces, and i tell them all, "Why Not? the Benefit outweighs the process or cost." However I have so many friends with normal teeth, normal imperfections, and to be honest it's not a big deal, it's normal.

And to all those happy with their smiles no matter what nay sayers say, please keep it that way & don't change it. Do you! & make "you" happy. This post is to give those who aren't sure or afraid the extra push, because these pictures definitely helped me make a decision, so i decided to share em with you, to give you hope, inspiration and as entertainment for everyone :)

We all know most of these celebs, but what you might not know, is that they got some dental work, and you probably just assumed they got prettier as they got more fame or money. You will definitely be shocked by some of the celebrities because you probably never noticed, so rather than lay out all the pictures, I think a slide will be more fun, so you can guess who they are & pause.

Amanda's 21st Birthday at F.A.B & dealing with a horrid weave

My little sister Amanda finally turned 21 on August 4th, so we went out to celebrate a couple of weeks ago on August 6th. We went to F.A.B which is a restaurant that was turned into the club for the night.

That's the birthday girl :) at the Club.

But before I got there I had a huge dilemma!!!! My hair was a birds nest. If you're on my twitter, you've heard me complain about it. It was sooo bad. Dear weave, why on earth do I continue to experiment with different brand names!!

Honestly at Beauty Mart in Jonesboro their doing a buy one get one free, so I spent like about only $200 on 4 packs, and ended up using 3 packs of hair. OMG what a mistake. My hair sheds!!! the floor is a mess. I comb can barely pass through it, and let's just say by the time this night was over, we could put a comb through it!!!

So anyways, I didn't go to dinner, cuz Im super vain & refuse to leave the house looking a hot mess, my sister is my sister, so was understanding. I also wasnt going to go to the club, but considering all out friends flew in from Maryland, and London, c'mon, I decided to put up a fight & use the strongest Hair tools own, and take a freaking shower & party my ass off.

My sister's also moving to the Caribbean for a year for Med School so this was her 21st birthday / send off party.

& Here are the pics, cuz I'm such a blogger :) trust me pics are fun and all, but I'm sure people gave me the side eye when I took pictures of the elevator at the club lol

I still don't get how sex could be on your mind if your dying of thirst, for either procreation or recreation.

My New Makeup Look - Products used & trying Individual Lashes

Ok so I recently bought some makeup, and this has been my current look. I don't do much makeup tutorials/ what I'm wearing because I always have on the same thing, so since I switched, here it is. & I also got a lot of questions on my eyebrows & lip gloss.

It was also my first time trying on Individual Lashes instead of the strip. i tried watching youtube videos, and asking Mary for tips, and at the end of the day, you take as much advice as you can, and when you start battling the glue, you screw the advice and do whatever you have to do to make the lashes stick. However i must have done something wrong cause whenever I took a shower a bunch fell off :( This never happened when i got them professionally done, but I saved about 25 dollars for the same look.

so basically I have 2 days same/ similar look, and what I used.

1st Look: getting ready to head to Marlyand (July 13th / Last week)

2nd Look: few days later in MD, took it with my blackberry bold 9000 and had it as my bbm profile picture and a lot of people asked bout the makeup.

& Here are the tools.

diff from my normal routine is the MUFE Foundation, Mineralize (thanks to trying Kili & Mary's makeup in Miami), and the lip stuff.

woot woot. ok so sure this wasn't on my 2009 xmas Lust List, but I thought it was. I didn't need it, but thanks to conspicuous consumption, the media, fashion, musical lyrics, "look at my red bottoms! shove it in your face I'm a fashionista and own real Louboutins!!," I really wanted one!!!

Hey, I'm just keeping it real, we can be honest with each other, right? It's a fashion statement, and Sandra Bullock rocked it in The Proposal.

So.... anyways was considering buying a cool one... you know so everyone would assume of course I had a million pairs at home, but I decided to start with a classic and work my way up. It was a lovely gift and I was super excited to get it, I couldn't believe that finally my label whore dreams were coming true *sniff* *teardrops*

You know you are a shopaholic when after you own it, you don't really care to open the box or wear it for a while.

So here are the pictures.

The Blogger in me refused to open it for almost a month until I found my camera charger --- yes very sad! lol

some people have shoe dust bags, why don't I have one??

I'm a size 10.5 which should be a 40, but I fit into the 42! so please make sure you try em before buying them. They had some Mint green ones on sale at Neiman Marcus for $599, luckily it was my size so I tried this style "Very Prive 120," it fit & I ordered the black ones for normal price (bout 5 inches).

random ish:
-omg some shoes were supposed to be "toe cleavage!!" um what *_* I opted out on those, sometimes a girl has to say no to certain fashion trends.

-This is what it looks like after 2 nights of wearing them doing normal stuff like going on date, cousin's birthday, lounge.

smh You'd think I walked a mile, or danced a storm

People asked me about the price but since it was a gift I couldn't remember - found the answer yesterday :)

-they don't go above a 42, but if you are Paris Hilton or similar you can get them custom made.

-on a comfort level: they're okay, not as comfortable as flats, not unwalkable like some heels.

so last post I told you I got braces, lol here's the picture of the night I arrived in South Beach Miami:

and you can also see the tan. During my master plan I failed to realize that if I should get a tan, my previous makeup would no longer match, and it became too light.

For the other days luckily I had a few other girls there, so I could borrow powder that matched my skin more. but lets just say most of my trip in Miami I couldnt wear makeup :( talk about depressing!!! I was forced to be a natural. Me! Natural! Same girl who did battle of the plastics, it was hard, more so because I have shitty skin (skin take no offense but u know u have issues).

Sunday (smh I betrayed my HBO True Blood buddies) I ended up at a pool party in Lindberg. I saw like 500 potential baby daddy's at that party!!! and the girls were on point!!!

Like I'd secretly given up on ATL chicks. normally they are the baddest i've seen, but *whew* the clubs I've been going to, I've been seeing............... Anyways it seemed every chick had a super tiny waist & a huge ass. Like did someone forget to give me the memo!!! Im so not playing, cuz working out aint cutting it. Dear Santa if u Nikki Minaj my ass and Lola Monroe my waist, I promise to hardly wear any clothes ever!!! & If u throw in 7 more electrolysis sessions, I'll skinny dip at every other pool party! I promise.

then the next day, i decided to get braces!!!!!

.... & the day after that I decided to get a TAN. smh wtf was i thinking??? "Do black girls get Tans??" I blame VH1. So.... I intended to get only a spray tan for an even complexion, u know to be Miami & bikini ready, cuz my body is is lighter in some parts & darker, various shades basicallys. Anyways the guy temtped me to double dip and he knocked down the price.

So... I got down into teeny bikini bottoms and got a spray tan. Then...... regardless of logic... well I ended up nude in some windy machine getting a tan for 10 mins, and it supposedly "makes you brown, not black," it sure looked like one of those ones on TV I heard causes cancer but he said there's a difference.

end result: I freaked: I looked like I moved back to Nigeria or I was on a carribean vacation for 1 month and lived under the sun! my makeup no longer matched when i was in miami. no more hint of yellow in my skin, all brown, I felt darker. duh!! I guess?

BUT.......... after a 1 to 2 days I LOVED my tan!!!!! and trust me, it's way way way better than the real thing. cuz in Miami Kili, Brenda & Mary decided they'll tan for 3 days. with no sunscreen or sun tan lotion cuz of course we have african skin & black girls dont need that. NOT!!!! Kili got sunburnt. No ones makeup matched anyones faces anymore. HA HA me & my tan became the lightest person there, and I looked all bronzy.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA they skipped brown & caramel, got sooooooo dark, like some parts were brown, some black, like literal black. it was sooo random. oh well wish u could see the pics. but they'll kill me.

I definitely loved my tan. I wanted to strut everywhere in a bikini cuz for the first time ever, my skin boobs, legs, tummy, were one even color!!! I kept staring at myself in the mirror. so in the future, Im sticking to artificial tans, and hiding from the sun.

then.... I headed to miami the day after the tan to join Kili, Brenda & Carmen. (miami pics coming up) lol

So for the past two weeks I've been hanging with my cousin Kili, an her two friends Mary & Brenda, who are pretty cool. Some of yo might remember the last time my cuz visited from london in this post: shopping in Atl. It was Mary & Brenda's first time in ATL, and my first time meeting them so had to show them a good time ;) Therefore we partied every night, ate a truck load, shopped, flirted and still woke up in time to go church at 8.30am. Then we went to Miami. I just came back on Monday from Mia, and they went back to London.

then they gushed when we met Dexter and his friends. lol I kept laughing 'cause many of us see Atlanta as the Black San Fransisco/ Black Hollywood. Atl's mostly black, but I'm prety much used to it that I forget people from other cities aren't used to seeing this many black people, it's a lot of fun, oooh and Atl also has a lot of black gay guys, which you get used to seeing when you move here. Just like you get used to seeing a ton of black celebs daily. so when I see a white flamboyant gay guy or white celeb it's soooo out of the norm, I stare like it's magic because I'm so fascinated.

So a while ago I bought these bad ass F Me Pumps! (ps: Amy Winehouse has a cool song by the same name)

I was inspired by this scene in Secret Diary of a Call girl. couldn't figure out who the designer was for the black patent shoe with pink soles (I've seen yellow, red, maybe blue, but not pink), so if you know the designer do say.

Anyways so I googled!! & ended up buying the shoes via amazon because they were cheaper in my size. Apparently they are stripper shoes or similar, like I care. BUT OMG the stiletto heel is 5 3/4 inches, almost 6 inches!!! I'm almost 5'8 tall so do the math.

Have you ever left a camera with a bored child!!??? Trust me my aunt has learnt her lesson, My lil cousins take pictures of everything, including random shows of tv channels. amen for digital camera, or polaroid would make money of them.

So..... Day 2 in the Maryland (DMV)! My cousins Sunshine & Nneka went to pick up Data from the airport in DC who arrived from London. Unfortunately I hadn't painted on my face or gotten my hair ready. so... they picked her up, went shopping, and left me Home! Alone! with a Camera! & bored out of my freakin mind with not one novel or PC!!

I drove my blackberry buddies mad with my status updates.

Sunshine's Graduation - Atl Takeova - DMV Trip

So my cousin Sunshine graduated this past Monday, 24th of May from UMBC! Woot Woot!!! congrats chica. You should have heard us screaming, we were like groupies. lol even the Dean & teachers commented that she had a lot of fans.

So on Thursday (LAST WEEK) omg I'm updating so soon not late. Better be proud!!! well I can be proud for both of us (^_^) . So these are pics of me & my cousin Nneka getting ready for our 9am Flight to Maryland

Stuff The Camera Missed:
Little did I know what was in store for me!!! Nneka used AirTran & got there in 1hr 45mins. I paid double with US Airways (late booking) & dealt with a 4 hr flight, people farting on the plane, delays, freezing, and being told a blanket was $7, and crazy ish. (but I saw a $10 jewelry store in NC that made it great, until I almost missed my layover flight shopping lol)

smh everyone on my BB was laughing at me. Yes I deleted my old twitter, and added a new one, it's @ChellBomb.

Stuff the camera missed:

Later that night we went with friends to P.F Changs to eat. I was such a fatty on that trip. I got white rice, almost cried when I realized I should have gotten the fried rice because I had tried it before and loved it. Gosh I even spilled a drink one of our friends.

DMV : DC, Maryland, Virginia. their all close, almoist everyone goes from each state to the next like it's one big happy family. we stayed in MD and partied in DC etc.

so we took a million that were gorgeous with various club photographers @ Opera. so ran to the site to look for the pictures, and I almost threw up my dinner.

oh my gosh!!! Like I knew I gained sooo much weight (20lbs, no kidding, my fat ass weighs 169lbs!!! now HA HA). hmm well dat didn't stop me from eating two pan pizza's from Pizza hut for dinner earlier tonite, ...then going out to dinner again tonite. Anyways my point is the pictures were HIDEOUS!!!!

BUT what happened to all the cute pictures at 11pm when I looked cute, downstairs!!!!!. and omg not even photoshop can save my fat ass!!! OMG.....

But a girl can try... Best believe I edited the pictures to look less rhino-ish!

Like the night was surreal, like all we had to do was blink and we had the hottest guys hitting on us ... then a nice guy mistakenly spilt a drink on my cousin, .... then I saw the pictures! BUT my point is, Thomas' Theorem! I felt like i was the ish, and i had the best night ever, we got home at about 5.30am.

a while ago in a non mundane monday's post I had a video of an Nigerian artist that had a video that a lot of people were talking about, and a friend wanted me to post it. It was a funny video. Apparently the video was for Mnet etc and wasn't the official video.

so the new video's out. It's very cute. making Nigerian gossip blogs and papers go crazy. He's a popular artist, and I don't watch Nigerian movies (because they never end, it's like part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc and yall know I have no patience) but the lady in the video is one of the most popular actresses in Africa (Nollywood, like Bollywood). extra info for non Nigerian readers to get an idea of the fun hoopla.

So the new video just came out: it's so cute! and I really like the song. I need to catch up on my Nigerian music.

edit: Ladies you should check out Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen, they look like felt tip coloring pens, but have nail polish in them and you can design whatever you want. That's what I used. then a top coat on top.

so this should make it easier if you dont have a steady hand. (it's sold in all stores, walmart, cvs, etc and online in various shades)

Twist is one favorite hangout spots in Atlanta. It's located in Buckhead (which is a nice neighbourhood), gosh I think I know the menu there. I go there all the time. Like the post on Ashleigh's birthday, I go there on dates (noonish), hang with friends, drink.

Imagine my surprise when I found out they were having an all you can eat!! fo only $10 bucks. I had the whole menu about 2 or3 or 4 times. I can't remember. lol yeah it was earlier this year.

I love books!! well novels, especially romance. I started as a kid, and I don't see the point in stopping now. I'm already a hardcore romantic so why not keep sipping the koolaid?

Books are totally orgasmic. I get soo happy when I enter a bookstore, totally delirious. so Last time I was at Borders Bookstore, I was asking people on my blackberry messenger to suggest books. And one of my lovely friends Temi who has been on my blog a few times, suggested I try an author, but I had never heard of her. sooooo........

She sent me her collection of the author by mail, and threw in an author we both liked. A book a night. these are 17 ways to keep me happy, jaded, and a total mush. This is probably the worst time to deal with guys, they all have Spring Fever, and are trying to seduce & bed every girl, but my head's in the clouds!

you know I love love movies! well I love novels more, it's like a day long movie. and yup I've declined to go on dates because I was reading a novel. dorky & proud :)

I am retracting my statement. The professor is cool so that's not what I'm against.
