My first bike, my first custom. I love it. The solo seat is custom with the bacardi bat tooled in. But why spoil you with details and take a look for yourself.


October 19, 2013 update

Whats new…removed the AI and added the AI kit, removed the snorkel and replaced with Polaris bell mouth and bike is responding much better performance wise. To include, a light control module was added for cold weather start up or low battery drainage. I added a fuel reserve bottle on back of the side mount license plate, leather belt strap with British bulldog badge and last yellow lens film for a classic look.

]]> Status (an ongoing thing!) http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/837/status-an-ongoing-thing/ Wed, 25 Jul 2012 16:21:45 +0000 http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/?p=837 Continue reading →]]> We have made significant progress the last few days in collecting vital information, gaining control of stuff and generally rocking the world!  Okay not really, but at least we have a better handle on things.  When we lost the porbeagle server, wow, that was a nervous moment in time!   Our first test so to say.  Yet even then, the procedures to correct that problem were all on Dreamhost.  We did loose a bit of information when the data base was restored: some post that had occurred between the time of the lost server and the last backup Dreamhost had made.  Nothing older than a day or so.   We are still looking seriously at migrating away from the UBB boards onto those of vBulletin.  By year end?

We hope that the transition be as painless as possible, and that we’ll be able to import not only the forum content but the WordPress homepage content.

I bought my Speedmaster about 2 years ago and have added a bit of chrome and stuff here and there… Kuryakyn grips, levers, mirrors, pegs and shifter peg, plus Triumph chrome valve and chain covers, a few things from Fast Eddy. Took out the snorkel and did the Polaris replacement and rejetting. It has worked really well so far. The latest additions are the Mutazu MU hard bags on EasyBrackets. Still getting used to how wide that setup is!

Although she’s not really modded, she’s just right. That’s what I loved about this bike and still do, it was almost perfect right out of the box! She’s covered parts of the country from the Carolinas to New England and all the way West, and has always been just right. Just some carb tweaks, driving lights, and some toolboxes from a Heritage Softail, I just haven’t felt right doing much more to her.

Abby is short for “AB-normal”. It started as a inside joke from a friend in IL (See young Frankenstein for better understanding I have taken that to heart and created a unique and lovely lady). Most of my parts and addons came from Fast Eddy Sports.

Since then I have added the tan seat, Kuryakyn Iso-grips with Throttle Boss ends, and SwitchWings footpegs . I also installed the Kuryakyn Driving bar. She had her tapered upper forks changed back to straight to accomodate the Memphis shield. The Hard street bags were added just this spring.
