Wow, I can’t believe it has been almost 3 years since I have posted on this page!!

I apologize for leaving those of you who messaged me hanging. In a nutshell, I have been living the chaotic dream as a stay-at-home-mommy of 3, and also took on the task of homeschooling our oldest two, who will be entering grades 1 and 2 in the Fall. Not only that, but in less than 10 weeks we will be welcoming Verbeek Baby #4 into our family!! Sadly, I have stepped away from my camera more than I wish, and finally got it out of our safe after a 11-month hiatus. My hope is to regain my confidence behind the camera and make it a point to capture more pictures of my own kiddos with something other than just my iPhone (yep, totally guilty over here!!!). So here is a start… taken in our neighbors wheat field yesterday morning with 1 day to spare before he removed his wheat (and literally the last wheat field remaining in our area!!) As you can imagine, a 2-year-old is quite the wildcard so I am especially happy with what we accomplished especially considering we woke them up at 5am to get this during sunrise!! <3

What a whirlwind the last few months has been!! Settled into a summer spent with the kids, fell into a nice routine and… bam! Major change! All, for the good though.

I would like to officially announce that we are now new members of the great community of Blenheim, Ontario. Although, if you follow me on facebook this is old news! Lol. Since the move I have had the pleasure of continuing to work with my amazing clients from the Sarnia-Lambton area. Some have even made the road-trip out (which I promise is not bad!) to visit. I would like to officially welcome new fans, friends and future clients to my page. Moving here has been a huge blessing for our family and I look forward to meeting some new and friendly faces! Take a peek around and please don’t hesitate to ask any questions!!

Leeah… Sneak Peek! {Graduation} | Sarnia Photographer

Just HAD to share a little “sneak peek” from a recent session… When I got a phone call from a mother wanting to capture her young lady as she graduated from 8th grade I could not resist. In fact, Graduation photos are something I have wanted to do for a while. In the States, Graduation photos especially Grade 12 (Also known as Seniors Photos) are a really big deal. My mom STILL has my High School Senior photo hanging on her wall! It marked that transition of little girl, to young lady in her mind. A truly special moment for everyone!

Jude 3-Months {Child} | Sarnia Child Photographer

Sweet little Jude! How I missed posting your 3-month session I have no idea! This was my 3rd session with his mama, Lynsey! I first met with her and daddy, Randy while doing their Maternity Session and we just “clicked”! There is nothing better than having a business relationship with your clients that feels more like a friendship than work. When I did little Jude’s Newborn Session they were sooo in love with their little man. The passion that they had shown for eachother during their maternity session was now focused on their sweet little boy! When Lynsey brought Jude in for his 3-months she was more in love with little Jude than I thought was possible. It just warms my heart to watch the interaction between a mother and their child, especially at this point in the child’s development. Her giggles as he would smile were contagious!

Stay tuned for his 6-month session to follow shortly…

Tim Verbeek {Greenhouse Grower} | Platinum Produce, Blenheim, Ontario

Sitting here on the couch with my computer on my lap, kleenex stacked next to me while sneezing and blowing my nose, I realize just how badly mommies need “sick days” too! Lol. With 2 young kiddos it is very impossible to get the rest your body needs while you are sick! Fortunately, My Mother-in-law and husband were lifesavers this afternoon! She surprised me after apparently getting a call from my husband to pick-up the kids so I could rest. Then my amazing hubby stopped to pick-up a new supply of Day and Night-quil! So here is a post dedicated to my oh-so-awesome… and very-good-looking hubby! I know he probably won’t be a big fan of the attention, but he’s my better half so he has to put up with it!

Below are photos from a Commercial Session I did for my husband at our family Greenhouse, Platinum Produce, and an international seed company, Rijk Zwaan. Tim worked together with them last season on a variety of Bell Pepper called, Redwing. So this only seemed like a fitting concept to incorporate hockey! I was honored to have the photos posted in their North America 2012 Seed & Services publication!

Oh little Nico! Where do I begin… I thought your brothers were beautiful when I photographed them along with your pretty pregnant mommy and handsome daddy.. you little guy are just adorable!!!

Yesterday I posted their beautiful Family/ Maternity session which can be found here. I knew when I met them I wanted to try and capture a special photo of all 3 boys together. Never would I have imagined I would get something so beautiful, timeless and special! This session has one of my favorite sibling shots that now hangs in the Midwifery Services of Lambton-Kent!

This session was just perfection! From his sleepy little demeanor, to gouty little lips. I just fell in love with little Nico! Sessions like these make it hard to believe that being a Newborn Photographer is my job since I love it so much!

I have been looking forward to posting this session, as well as their newborn session for quite some time! Now that I have everything on my website updated, and 100% caught up on sessions and did a major update on my computers I can’t wait to get caught up on my blogging!!

Anja is such a gorgeous mommy! With 2 beautiful boys, she was excited to welcome her 3rd (and possibly final) child to their family. Anja and Dale met when he was playing hockey in Germany. I can totally relate to their story of love and her moving from another Country to Sarnia, Canada! In Germany their style is much more open and natural which I love! There are a few “sneaks” into a few shots I did to commemorate her beautiful body… I wish more of my pregnant mommies would embrace the beauty of what a pregnancy does to their body in a positive light!
