பூமியில் உள்ள உயிர்களை வாழ வைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் சூரியன், இன்னும் 500 கோடி ஆண்டுகளில் தனது ஆயுளை முடித்துக் கொள்ளும் என்றும், அதே காலகட்டத்தில், பூமியின் வாழ்நாளும் முடிவுக்கு வரும் என்று தற்போதைய புதிய ஆய்வில் அனுமானிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பால்வெளி மண்டலத்தில் ஒரு பகுதி பிரபஞ்சம், ஒரு காலகட்டத்தில் சுருங்கத் தொடங்கி, பின் அழிந்து விடும் என்றும், எல்லை இல்லா பிரபஞ்சம் குறித்த கோட்பாடு குறிப்பிடுகிறது. பால்வெளி மண்டலத்தின் எல்லை கள் குறித்து அறிந்து கொள்ள விஞ்ஞானிகள் தொடர்ச்சியாக ஆய்வு செய்து, வடிவியல் முறை கணிதப்படி கணக்கிட்டு வருகின்றனர்.

தற்போது நமது சூரியனுக்கு 457 கோடி வயது ஆகிறது. நடுத்தர வயதுள்ள நட்சத்திரமாக சூரியன் திகழ்கின்றது. இன்னும் 500 கோடி ஆண்டுகளில் சூரியனின் ஆயுட்காலம் முடிந்து விடும் என்று விஞ்ஞானிகள் கருதுகின்றனர். அந்த கால கட்டத்தில், சூரியனில் உள்ள வாயுகள் தீர்ந்து போய், அதன் வெளிப்புறம் சிவப்பாக, அச்சப்படுத்தும் வகையில் காட்சியளிக்கும். இறுதியாக விண்மீன் படலமாக மாறி விடும். அந்த நேரத்தில் பூமியின் விதியும் முடிந்து விடும் என்று கருதப்படுகிறது. ஆனால், சூரியன் மறைந்தாலும் பூமியில் வாழ முடியும் என்ற சூழ்நிலை அப்போது உருவாகலாம் என்றும் சில விஞ்ஞானிகள் கூறுகின்றனர்.

அதே போல விமானத்தில் ‘டிராக் விசையை கொடுப்பது’ காற்றினால் விமானத்தில் ஏற்படும் உராய்வுகள், இஞ்சின் ஆப் செய்யப்பட்டால் சிறிது நேரத்தில் விமானம் மெதுவாகிவிட காற்றினால் ஏற்படும் உராய்வே கார்ணம் (அதாவது வானத்தில்). ஒருவேளை பூமியில் காற்று இல்லையென்றால், இஞ்சினை ஆப் செய்தாலும் விமானம் மெதுவாக முடியாது.

(பலருக்கு ஒரு விஷயம் ஆச்சரியமாக இருக்கும், ஏன் விமானம் மேலே எழும்பியவுடன் சக்கரத்தை உள்ளே இழுத்துக்கொள்கிறது, வெளியிலேயே இருந்தால் என்ன கெட்டுவிட்டது என்று. இதை செய்வதற்கு காரணம், காற்றினால் சக்கரத்தில் ஏற்படும் உராய்வை தடுப்பதுதான். அந்த உராய்வுடன் பறந்தால் விமான எரிபொருள் செலவு இருமடங்காக இருக்கும், மேலும் அதிக வேகத்தை விரைவில் எட்ட முடியாது)

ஹெலிகப்டரின் மேலெழும்பு விசை அதன் மேதிருக்கும் விசிரியால் வருகிறது என பலர் சொல்லிவிடுவார்கள், விமானத்திற்கு முன்னே செல்லும் விசைதானே உள்ளது, மேலே எப்படி எழும்புகிறது என்ற கேள்வி பலர் மனதில் இருக்கும்

உண்மையில் விமானத்தின் மேலுழும்பு விசையை தருவதும் அதே எஞ்சிந்தான் , சற்று மறைமுகமாக..

விமானத்தின் மேல் நோக்கு தூக்கு சக்தி உற்பத்தி செய்யப்படுவது அதன் இறக்கை, விமானத்தின் வேகம், மற்றும் காற்றின் கூட்டணியில்தான் . இந்த மூன்றில் ஒன்று இல்லாவிட்டாலும் தூக்கு சக்தி உருவாகாது , விமானம் பறக்காது. அதாவது இறக்கை இல்லாவிட்டாலும் பறக்க முடியாது, விமானத்தில் வேகம் இல்லாவிட்டாலும் பறக்க முடியாது, காற்று இல்லாமல் மீதி இரண்டும் இருந்தாலும் பறக்க முடியாது

விமானத்தின் இறக்கையை கூர்ந்து கவனித்தால் ஒன்று புரியும், (மிகவும் கூர்ந்து கவனிக்க வேண்டும்). விமானத்தின் இறக்கையின் மேல்பாகம் சற்று, மிகவும் சற்று மேல் நோக்கி வளைந்திருக்கும். கீழ்பாகம் தட்டையாக இருக்கும். இதை சாதாரணமாக இறக்கையை பார்த்தால்கூட கண்ணுக்கு எளிதாக தெரியாது, அதை தொட்டுப்பார்த்தால்தான் தெரியும்

இப்போது காற்றுக்கும் விமானத்திற்குமான ரிலேடிவ் வேகத்தை எது தீர்மாணிக்கிறது? சந்தேகமில்லாமல் விமானத்தின் வேகம், அதை தீர்மாணிப்பது எது? விமானத்தின் இஞ்சின் , எனவே விமானத்தின் மேலெழும்பு சக்தியையும் கொடுப்பது, அதே இஞ்சின் தான் என்பது தெளிவாகிறது அல்லவா?

அதனால்தான் விமானம் மெதுவாக ஓடும்போது அதற்கு பறக்கும் சக்தி இருக்காது. (ஹெலிகப்டரின் மேலெழும்பு விசைக்கும் வேகத்திற்கும் சம்மந்தம் இல்லை என்பதால் அது ஓடாமலே மேலே எழும்புகிறது, ஆனால் விமானத்தின் முன் செல்லும் வேகம் ஹெலிகப்டருக்கு வராது)

இது எல்லாம் சேர்ந்துதான் விமானம் இப்படி டேக் ஆப் ஆகிறது

விமானம் ஓடினால் மட்டும் அல்ல, அதே வேகத்தில் காற்று புயல்போல அடித்தாலும் (அந்த வேகத்திற்கு காற்று அடிப்பது கடினம்தான்) விமானம் நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தால் கூட விமானம் தூக்கப்பட்டுவிடும். கடும் புயல் அடிகும்போது, சில ஓட்டு வீட்டு கூறைகள் பீய்த்துக்கொண்டு மேலெழும்பி காற்றில் பறப்பதற்கான காரணமும் இதுவே.

அதனால்தான் குறைந்தபட்சம் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட வேகத்தில் விமானம் சென்றே ஆகவேண்டிய கட்டாயத்தில் எப்போதும் உள்ளது, அப்போதுதான் அதன் இறக்கையில் மேலிழுக்கும் சக்தி தொடர்ச்சியாக அதன் எடையை சமன் செய்யும். அந்த வேகத்திலிருந்து குறைந்தால் விமானம் கீழே இறங்க துவங்கிவிடும். மெதுவாக போவது, சாவகாசமாக போவது எல்லாம் விமானத்திற்கு வேலைக்கே ஆகாது

ஒரு டெயில் பீஸ், இந்த இறக்கை தேவை எல்லாம் காற்று உள்ள இடங்களில் மட்டும்தான். பூமியை தாண்டி வின்வெளிக்கு சென்றுவிட்டால் பறப்பதற்கு இறக்கை தேவைப்படாது.

Physics is a diverse area of study and in order to make sense of it scientists have been forced to focus their attention on one or two smaller areas of the discipline. This allows them to become experts in that narrow field, without getting bogged down in the sheer volume of knowledge that exists regarding the natural world.

* Astrophysics - the study of the physical properties of objects in space

* Atomic Physics - the study of atoms, specifically the electron properties of the atom

* Biophysics - the study of physics in living systems

* Chaos - the study of systems with strong sensitivity to initial conditions, so a slight change at the beginning quickly become major changes in the system

Quantum Physics

The first half of the 20th century was spent refining quantum theory, which, along with Einstein's theory of relativity, represents the sum total of all of our knowledge about how matter and energy interact in the universe. The result? There are four basic interactions that can take place between particles.

A Theory of Everything - Quantum Gravity Theory

One goal of modern physics, at least for some physicists, is to develop a comprehensive theory of everything, which reconciles gravity with the other three fundamental forces. This energy can take the form of motion, light, electricity, radiation, gravity . . . just about anything, honestly. Physics deals with matter on scales ranging from sub-atomic particles (i.e. the particles that make up the atom and the particles that make up those particles) to stars and even entire galaxies.

How Physics Works

As an experimental science, physics utilizes the scientific method to formulate and test hypotheses that are based on observation of the natural world. The goal of physics is to use the results of these experiments to formulate scientific laws, usually expressed in the language of mathematics, which can then be used to predict other phenomena.

The Role of Physics in Science

In a broader sense, physics can be seen as the most fundamental of the natural sciences. Chemistry, for example, can be viewed as a complex application of physics, as it focuses on the interaction of energy and matter in chemical systems. We also know that biology is, at its heart, an application of chemical properties in living things, which means that it is also, ultimately, ruled by the physical laws.
