NEW TRANSCRIPTION

Just finished a transcription of "A Simple Boogie" from the Absolute Boogie CD. If you are a player, this one one probably the easiest one to learn. The riffs are simple but have a nice groove. Casey's Corner, Magic Kingdom, Disney WorldOne of the many places I play in Orlando is at Disney World. A few times a year I get to fill in for the regulars at Casey's Corner. I can usually slip in one or two boogie woogies in the middle of all the ragtime and Disney tunes. My brother brought a video camera there about a year ago and got me playing Honky Tonk Train Blues and one of my pieces - "The Pete Johnson Boogie" - also from the Absolute Boogie CD (BTW, the transcription is also available at the same link listed above). A question from Bob in th UK; at this point I can't do international orders yet (except Canada). Since my brother is my host, I'm not in a position to make too many demands since he gives me a killer deal. It will happen soon. The best place is to get either a hard copy Cd or the entire album download from CD Baby. Their site is rock solid. They do not do individual song downloads, but there are plenty of links to who does.

Mac people:I love Macs, and I record every album on one (imac with Digi 002). My framework does not like Macs (Dot Net Nuke), so the samples won't play. Please follow the links to iTunes to hear them or to my CD Baby pages. You can get to CD Baby by following the "Buy the CD" link. Hopefully this will also be fixed soon.

DRM:After much thought I am making the transition to DRM free audio. The files will be high quality MP3's (192 to 320kbps) which is why albums are priced at $13.00 (a bargain for you Europeans!) I trust that my customers won't give them away too much. This means Mac/iPod people (myself included) can get files here and they will work. As of today, CMP VII, Absolute Boogie and Project Boogie are in this format. I'll post to this blog when the others are updated.
Transcriptions:I'm finally getting off my lazy butt and working on some. I have recorded the last few albums with a Moog Piano Bar, so I have the MIDI files. It takes a while to clean them up since the transcription does NOT come out even close to being right. It would not be fun to read 32nd note triplet rests! The next one due out is Honky Tonk Train Boogie. I'll post when it is ready. Please leave any comments on the Contact page if there is anything you would like to see or hear.
