Once you get over the fact that it’s a dumpster, the living quarters are not that bad. The dumpster is small but it’s outfitted with cabinets, a cooking surface, electricity, and all the other basic amenities needed to survive. It even has granite countertops and a hard wood floor. Not too shabby.
It is surprising to know that some of our everyday items may take up to more than 1,000 years to decompose. In fact, some may not decompose at all!

That’s why it is best to recycle these instead of throwing them to the landfill.

The Brooklyn swimming pool, dubbed the “lo-fi country club” by Macro Sea, is an impressive first step. The pool took 12 days to construct. The dumpsters, which weren’t being used because of the slow down in construction projects, were cleaned and painted. Rough edges were sanded down. They were then equipped with plastic liners, sandbags (for soft walking), and tarps before being filled with 19,000 gallons of chlorinated water.

Take a look at Bookadumpster – Our Innovation for Customers Searching Online Dumpster Rental….

bookadumpster is an innovative website that instantly searches rental prices for an individual customer, presenting them with the option to secure the best price immediately.

Saving time, the website does the searching, so there is no need to be calling or shopping around for the best deal – bookadumpster does all the work to present a no obligation quote!

On entering their customer requirements the website algorithm searches local dumpster haulers to match the customer to the best rate available for the container they require, when they need it.

Securing the price and placing a booking is as easy as using a credit card or PayPal account, via the secure payment gateway built into the site.

Because it is so efficient, Bookadumpster is an extremely popular solution that appeals to those with busy lifestyles. Many customers use the site to book their containers during work time; because it’s silent there are no phone calls to be over heard, so no one is any the wiser!

Focusing initially on residential customers searching for short term dumpster rental, nowadays more contractors and business are using bookadumpster to rent containers. Renting a roll off using bookadumpster means they get the best price each time and they can avoid signing long term contracts with one provider.

Entering the delivery zip code will instantly indicate which service options are available. Dependant on the zip code searched there can be five different waste types available and container sizes that vary from a 2 cubic yard right up to a 40 cubic yard.

Booking in advance can provide a better price, as the cheapest dumpster’s book out first; once the cheapest priced stock is booked out the next best price becomes available until all stock is exhausted.

The average closed landfill in the U.S. generates 6 million gallons of contaminated water from rainfall that seeps through the landfill picking up chemicals and compounds along the way each and every year. This contaminated water ends up in our groundwater. It also affects the surrounding plant life and animal life as the surrounding soil is contaminated. Additionally, the volatile compounds that evaporate up through the soil and into the air affect the health of the surrounding residents. Once we have emptied the landfill all of these issues go away. Human health, plant health, animal health, and the condition of the soil and groundwater all improve. Check out what you can do to help by visiting this blog….www.greenusarecycling.com/empty-your-landfill

Why recycle E-Waste? Some components of old electronic equipment can be hazardous to our environment. The new electronic waste recycling laws make it a crime to throw away old computers and other electronics. The toxicity is due in part to lead, mercury, cadmium and a number of other metallic substances. When discarded improperly, these substances and chemicals are extremely harmful to the environment. Lead is a toxic substance of particular concern, as lead poisoning can especially be harmful to young children. A typical 17-inch computer monitor contains approximately 2 pounds of lead while a 27-inch color television contains up to 8 pounds of lead.

Why is it a problem? E-Waste is one of the fastest growing segments of our nation’s waste stream. E-Waste now makes up 5% of all municipal waste worldwide. According to the International Association of Electronics Recyclers, Americans dispose of 2 million tons of electronic products a year including 50 million computers and 130 million cell phones. By 2010, the United States will be discarding 400 million electronic units annually. Do your bit… E-Waste collections occur at County Centers and are usually free of charge.
