	I'm really unsure of what to give this book!? It was a heartfelt, moving read but not at all aa I expected. It wasnt scary at all, it was more sad then anything. And even though it's supposed to be YA, it seemed more middlegrade to me. The main character Conor really annoyed me, he seemed so selfish and mean and angry and I didn't like the way he treated people who were trying to help him. He was going through a lot as his mum was ill and I could understand that but he just seemed so unbelievably horrible. The monster was not at all scary though he was wise which I liked! I hated the ending, it was kind of a "Cliffhanger" in a way but it really wasn't. I don't know the ending was kind of implied rather than said directly in black and white and that did annoy me a bit. I think Im going to give this book 3.5 stars because I DID enjoy it and would recommend it as a nice quick read, also there are illustations throughout the book which is always a plus. I would recommend borrowing this book from the library because it really isnt worth the money but is still worth a read if that makes any sense? 3.5/5 :)

Ok, So this book was SUPER hyped up and I was very dubious (is that even how it's spelt?!?) about reading it! Also the cover was a turn off for me and stopped me from buying it, not to mention the length of the book. I'm a girl who reads 300 page books MAX and this book had a whopping 487? (I think that's the amount lol) pages! INSANE!
It did not dissapoint me though. The hype was right, which I rarely say, and this book was FANTASTIC!
I love the main character Beatrice/Tris and thought she was so relatable and I almost always agreed with her point of view and related to her. Another character I just FELL IN LOVE WITH was Four! He just seemed so handsome and dark and sexy and as the book went on I was not disappointed with him, in fact I loved him even more than the previous chapter until by the end of the book I wanted to run away with him, get married in vegas and give birth to his children! Yes I know!
I loved the idea of "factions" and it seemed really realistic in a weird way. I can actually imagine that happening in like 100/200 years time. I had never reaad a dystopian of sorts and I was soo impressed.
This book is just toooo good for words and I give it 1 million stars! It's my new favourite book EVER!

If I Stay- Gayle Forman!

So the book is about a girl named Mia, her family decided to go on a nice drive and end up in a car accident which leaves Mia in a coma. She is kind of in an out of body experience state and can see and hear everything going on around her. Throughout the book, there are "flashbacks" of sorts about her life previous to that point.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! The saddest yet sweetest book I have ever read! I am speechless when it comes to this book. I loved all the characters and found every single one of them relatable and awesome. She seemed to have such a nice life and to have it all slip away was what was soo sad! The ending did however frustrate me a little as it was a cliffhanger but luckily there is a second book, (Where she went) which is a sequel and should reveal what happened.
It was such a moving book and it made me cry and not many things do that!!

5/5 stars!

5 star book. Absoletely amazing. Really good writing and really good plot. I liked that it was in first person and that you really got to know Sophie Mercer and that the main character was so funny in places. The book was hilarious and words really cant sum it up. Excellent book!

Wake - Lisa Mcmann

This is a complete and utter five star book. I am a VERY slow reader and managed to finish this book in two days. It flowed so easily and was just plainly and simply good.

The book starts of when Janie, the main character, is eight. She mysteriously and unknowingly gets sucked into a man on the train's dream and since then whenever anyone is sleeping around her she sees their dreams and their nightmares. I dont want to say much else about the book because I dont want to ruin it, but she does meet a boy so yes it is a Paranormal romance! My favourite kind!

The book was written in long chapters but with a break every few pages when the day changed.
I would one hundred percent recommend this book to anyone. I think you would definitely love this read.

Pretty little liars- Sara Shepard!

This book gets 5/5 stars. It was so good. I say this about every book it seems, but I have to say this is my favourite book I've read this year! It was soo amazing.

So there is a group of 5 best friends, Aria, Emily, Hanna, Spencer and Alison. Alison goes missing one night and the friends are getting weird texts from a mysterious A. They all have their secrets. Aria is hooking up with her english teacher, Hanna is stealing and using unhealthy habits to stay beuatiful and Spencer is stealing her sister's boyfriend. Emily is falling in love with her new best friend, that happens to be a girl. And A is telling all their secrets and causing trouble in their lives.

I really enjoyed the writing style of this book. I thought Sara Shepard did an excellent job in really portraying the main characters. The book just zippped by but not in a bad way. I got through 25 chapters in one go because it was just that good. Although I must say it did take me a few chapters to get into it. There is drama right from the begining though and it keeps you reading.
I highly recommend reading this book :)

Beastly- Alex Flinn

OMG! Asides from Harry Potter, (OBVIOUSLY) this is the most epic, best book I have EVER read! It was just soo cute and I can definitely see why it's being made into a movie. It has that typical movie line plot but not in a predictable way.
So first of all let me just say, sorry I have been away and not reviewing many books, a lot in my personal life has been going on. Anyways to this epic book!...

So we start off with Kyle Kingsbury, a typical blonde hair, blue eyes, perfect kinda guy. He only cares about him self and shallow doesn't even begin to cut it! He is just soo mean. So there is this witch at school (this isnt a spoiler by the way, its the basic plot so its important to know...) that he really messes with. (I won't spoil it in how he does, he just does.) And boy does he end up paying for it. He losese the thing that matters most to him in the entire world, his good looks and he is transformed into a beast. Basically he has two years to find his true love and they must love him back.

It's an epic love story and I really don't want to say too much about it because I don't want to ruin the experience of reading it but I HIGHLY recommend this. 5/5 stars!!

The Dead-Tossed Waves- Carrie Ryan (Review)

This is the companion novel to "The Forest of Hands and Teeth". It is not essential that you read the first book but it does help and I found it very helpful when referring back when it got deeper into the book. In the first book we go through Mary's journey in the forest and her dreams of reaching the ocean. This book takes off a few years later and Mary has a daughter named Gabrielle (Gabry for short) and they live at the ocean in the lighthouse. (If you have read the first book you will understand why!) It starts if with Gabry and her friends sneaking over the barrier to the banned rollercoaster/ amusement park which is plagued with Mudo (their word for zombies, also referred to as Unconsecrated.) She has her first kiss with a boy named Catcher but there is a breaker in the park and infects a couple of her friends, including Catcher! They get caught by the Militiamen, which are kinda like the police. And half of them have died and returned (become zombies) the other lot imprisoned and sent off to the recruiters and then two missing, one of them being Catcher. Gabry goes on an adventure to find Catcher but runs into Elias who seems to know more about her than she does! She finds out a few twists and turns along the way and blah blah blah spoiler spoiler spoiler..... In the end she ends up having to return to the forest of her "mother's" past.

Absolutetly amazing book. One of the best books ever! In my honest opinion, this book deserves 10/5 stars! That's how great it was! I really enjoyed this book and found that every chapter had me on the edge of my seat and holding on wondering what would happen next! I really enjoyed it and at the end of each chpter there was a mini cliffhanger. Definitely worth I read. I'm not really sure if I preferred it to it's predicesor The Forest of Hands and Teeth, but I felt it was a lot more exciting. 100% reccommend this book and suggest you pick it up and read it. Lily Alone- Jacqueline Wilson

I loved this book even though it is for younger YA readers and was a little immature for me, I thought it was great and a really good bit. I thought that the storyline was good but there wasnt much plot but to be honest it was just really cute to read and the Lily and her little siblings were so cute together. I read it to my little sister at night time and it took about 3 days of reading at night and we both really enjoyed it! I definitely recommend it but would say maybe if you are 10-12 you would really enjoy it and if you're older like me you might find it a little childish. Sorry for the bad review, I am really tired and not in the mood :(
Anyway excellent book and worth a read!

5 Frickin stars!!
First of let me just say this book was blooming fantastic! Full of fun, humour and intellect it was a perfect read. I loved the characters and the story! I thought this book was a great read for anyone but most definitely for english lassies like me! As you kinda have to understand the northern lingo in the book for it to not seem utterly outrageous. Excellent book, and 5 stars, I have nothing to criticize about this book apart from I wish it was longer so I could still be enjoying it lol! I couldnt put it down and spent a whole day straight just reading it and finished it within twenty four hours! A must read but I would recommend it for the summer. So you too can have a "summer of love" and fall in love with this book!

My new novel!!!

SO you probably didn't know this but I am currently writing a novel called "Sleeping in Stone" and planning the sequel "Concrete Angel". They will be part of a trilogy and I haven't decided on the last ones name yet but am leaning towards "Sparkling Angel". And now I am writing a new novel while that series is on hold. This is going to be more of an older YA and it deals with the serious issue of prostituion. Which is actually a subject near to my heart. I haven't decided of a name yet but will be trying to come up with one. Shattered seems to be the most fitting name at the moment or Broken. I want something really simple yet striking and something that deals with the plot.
So here is a little bit about the novel.
Jade is a normal 19 year old girl. Well, not really. Her mother is fatally ill and dying from breast cancer, her father left her years and years ago when she was born and she is left struggling to look after her family of 4 younger siblings. On top of this the family that once had everything is struck with a series of terrible events. Death after death, murder after murder. They lose everything. Jade is forced to find a way to look after her family financially after her mother's death and so one night leads to a life changing choice. She becomes a prostitute to the rich and famous but after a traumatic rape turns to drugs and ends up walking the streets, the only way to pay for her new found addiction, troubling family and her mother's hospital bill debts is to become a street hooker. Little does she know that one of her clients is closer to her than she thinks. It turns out the man she just slept with is her long lost father. Will he turn out to be her knight in shining armour? And as if things were bad enough she starts to fall in love with this man even after knowing his secret. Keeping it hidden she continues to take money from this man and sleeping with him until her mother's funeral. Will he find out the girl of his, unconventional, dreams is really his daughter he left when she was just a baby? Or will true love conquer all?

The Forest of Hand and Teeth- Carrie Ryan.

So this book is about a girl named Mary, she lives in a world after the "Return" and now she thinks her village is the last in the world. The village is surronded by Unconsecrated (Zombies). Mary's mother and father get taken over and turned into unconsecrated and she is left to the mercy of the sisters. She soon finds out that the sisters hold some serious secrets! One day the village is breached and she has to find a way out. Is there a world outside the village?

INCREDIBLE. Absolutely amazing. I give it 4.5 stars simply because the begining was a bit slow and it took me AGES to read but I really enjoyed it. I was a really great book, Mary (the main character) was really relatable and I found mysefl yelling out loud whilst reading this book. Travis was a huge part of this story for me, whenever he was in danger I got really worked up and started shouting at it! I know I know how sad!! I absolutely loved the end. HIghly reccomend this book!

Tangshan Tigers- The stolen Jade- Dan Lee

This adventure story is about a boy named Matt. He has just come to the International Bejing Academy and hopes to make the martial arts squad and win the tournament to win a replica of the famous Jade dish. Him and his friends form a group called the Tangshan Tigers to fight crime and when there is a break in at the museum, they suspect that the Jade dish has been tampered with and STOLEN! Can they save the Dish?

A really good, fun and interesting read. I know it's a middle grade book for younger teens and children but to be honest, I really enjoyed myself reading this book. I thought it had adventure and a good balance between fighting crime and focusing on the martial arts tournament. I didn't think it was unrealistic which is really good for a martial arts book. I will definitely be looking to pick up the second and third books in the Tangshan tigers series. 4/5 stars.

Sleeping beauty- Vampire slayer review

Lucette is just a baby, just a baby that happens to be cursed and threaten the kingdom's safety. The evil vampire queen has cursed her that when she turns sixteen and pricks her finger, the kingdom of Xandra will fall asleep every night apart from Lucette and Lucette will be alone in the darkness, plus she will sleep until sundown. Unless she finds true love to break the curse. You even get to choose the way the story goes.

I give this book 4/5 stars!
This was a really cool and inovative book where you could choose your own route. The story changed depending on what you chose,which I thought was a great idea. The story was a twisted retelling of sleeping beauty and it involved vampires. I have never read sleeping beauty so I thought it was a really cool story when I read this book. It was written perfectly and had that perfect balance between young adult and adult style writing.
I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend reading it!

Natalie Hargrove is so close to getting what she's always wanted. To begin with I was really mixed on this book. I didn't like Natalie at all and thought she was a cheap rip off of Regina George from Mean Girls, she was the typical generic popular wannabe prom queen with the perfect boyfriend. I really started enjoying it around all the drama when she played a prank on her enemy and it all went terribly wrong. This book is about fate which I really liked and it really proved that what goes around comes around and I liked that message of it. I particularly liked the character Tracy because she was sort of psychic and she kept saying cryptic clues to Natalie. I liked the idea of the high school and how everything went and I liked the set up of the story but overall I felt the book could have been better. I give this book a 3.5 but closer to a 4 than a 3 simply because there was that something missing and I didn't like the beginning at all! Definitely worth a read and if you like Lauren Kate's writing style, you will love this. I think I just found a new favourite author and I can't wait to read Fallen and Torment which are next on my TBR pile.
