Hello guys...
As you must be aware that HRD Ministry of India has launched the CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive

Evaluation ) education system in Class IX and according to this the student has to do seminars,

articles, debates and many more things other than the usual exams...

I was also told by my teachers to make a PPT presentation on any topic related to maths so I

made a presentation on Maths Marvels and I want to share it with you. Please download it and

A new problem is there in front of the Scientists. Now a day's our electronic devices computation capabilities are increased enormously beyond the present computation system. Scientists are having a new problem like finding the new name for the 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. Scientists are lobbying for a new word to help them describe numbers larger than 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 amid concerns that the current system of units is insufficient.
A campaign for "hella" to join the likes of "kilo", "mega" and "giga" as an internationally accepted prefix is attracting growing support.
More than 20,000 scientists, students and members of the public have signed an online petition backing the new quantity, which would be used for figures with 27 zeros after the first digit.
Currently the highest prefix allowed by the International System of Units (SI) is the "yotta", for 24 zeroes.
The amount of energy released by the Sun would be more elegantly expressed as 0.3 hellawatts than as 300yottawatts.
Hella is North Californian slang for "very" or "a lot of". Mr Sendek and his supporters argue that its adoption would be a fitting honour for the state's impressive record of scientific research.
If the change is approved, the hella would be the first new SI prefix introduced since 1991, when the International Committee for Weights and Measures approved yotta and zetta (21 zeroes).

Holi is festival of colors in India। Holi is mostly celebrated by Hindus but other religions in India also celebrate this festival because Holi is also the symbol for meeting each other and making relationship better. In Bhojpuri Language, it is also known as "Phagwa". Foreigners also come to India during Holi time and they enjoy play with Holi specially in Jaipur, Gujarat. In Indian state West Bengal, Holi is known as Doljatra (Dolyatra). Some also call it as Boshonto Utsav, which means Spring Festival.

Hello everybody... anyone who watches television must have seen the Save Our Tigers advertisement ( an Aircel initiative). I have just joined the roar. I suggest you all to do the same. The link is JOIN THE ROAR.

When I saw this ad for the first time, a question popped in my mind automatically, " WHAT CAN I DO TO SAVE OUR TIGERS?"

Spread the Word Let everyone know that our tigers are on the brink of extinction and that they need us. Now. You can start by joining the Save Our Tigers movement on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and spreading the word wherever you go – online or offline.

Preserve our Natural Resources Loss of habitat is one of our tigers’ biggest problems. We can reduce pressure on forests by avoiding unnecessary use of forest-derived products, such as paper and timber.

Be a Responsible Tourist Visit tiger sanctuaries and national parks and discover our country’s natural heritage. But please remember that the wilderness is to be experienced, not to be polluted by packets of chips, etc.

20 Fun Things To Do In An Exam When U Know You're Going To Fail It Anyways!

1. Get a copy of the exam, run out screaming "Andre, Andre, I've got the secret documents!!"

2. Talk the entire way through the exam. Read questions aloud, debate your answers with yourself out loud. If asked to stop, yell out, "I'm SOOO sure that you can hear me thinking." Then start talking about what a jerk the instructor is.

3. Bring a Game Boy. Play with the volume at max level.

4. On the answer sheet find a new, interesting way to refuse to answer every question. For example: I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that it conflicts with my religious beliefs. Be creative.

5. Run into the exam room looking about frantically. Breathe a sigh of relief. Go to the instructor, say "They've found me, I have to leave the country" and run off.

6. 15 min. into the exam, stand up, rip up all the papers into very small pieces, throw them into the air and yell out "Merry Christmas." If you're really daring, ask for another copy of the exam. Say you lost the first one. Repeat this process every 15 min.

7. Come into the exam wearing slippers, a bathrobe, a towel on your head, and nothing else.

18. If the exam is math/sciences related, make up the longest proofs you could possible think of. Get pi and imaginary numbers into most equations. If it is a written exam, relate everything to your own life story.

19. Try to get people in the room to do a wave.

20. Bring some large, cumbersome, ugly idol. Put it right next to you. Pray to it often. Consider a small sacrifice.

This is my first post for the year 2010.

I know that I am very late to wish you all a very happy 2010 and the decade that lies ahead.

The reasons that I did not post in the first week was that I was busy noticing how many people’s New Year Resolution broke in the first week itself…

The study showed that 65% of the new year resolutions broke in the first week itself.

But thank God that I did not make a new year resolution thus did not have to worry about it being broken.

The second reason for me not posting in the first week was that I was overjoyed coz I got….. err won a laptop(emachines by Acer E725) in a lucky draw organized by the Rotary Club Saharanpur Continental on 29^th December 2009.

I am so sorry that I will not be able to post this month anymore ( or will publish 2-3 more posts this week) as my finals are starting from 19^th January 2010.

Stadium in Delhi has been abandoned due to poor pitch conditions. Discussions are now on to decide if the match will be played at all or not.

Since the start of the play on Sunday morning, it was clear that the newly-laid Kotla track was uneven, with a few deliveries giving the Sri Lankan batsmen a scare. Tillakaratne Dilshan was hit on his left arm as a ball took off unexpectedly, leaving the batsman in pain.

But play continued till the 24th over when a Sudeep Tyagi delivery kicked off the pitch and wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni struggled to collect it.

Sri Lankan batsman Thilan Kandamby first had a word with Dhoni before he approached the umpires. Umpires Marais Erasmus and Shavir Tarapore soon conferred and Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara was seen gesturing to his teammates from the dressing room.

Sri Lanka were 83/5 when skipper Kumar Sangakkara came onto the field to have a chat with the umpires and his Indian counterpart MS Dhoni. He looked clearly unhappy with the conditions.

Subsequently, Match Referee Alan Hurst also walked in and they were joined by Kotla curator Vijay Bahadur Mishra and BCCI Pitch and Grounds Committee chairman Daljit Singh. India coach Gary Kirsten joined them along with his Sri Lanka counterpart Trevor Bayliss.

Closed room discussions are on at the venue. Delhi and District Cricket Association officials, including vice president Chetan Chauhan, offered another pitch to Hurst but a final decision was yet to be taken.

The Kotla tracks have been long criticised for their quality, including during the Champions League T20 tournament. No Ranji games were played in Delhi this season due to the pitch.

A huge crowd that had kept aside the weekend to watch the Delhi match was disappointed. Spectators held up posters saying: "I want my money back."

Venkat Sundaram, former chairman of the BCCI pitch committee told NDTV: "It is disappointing and sad to see a wonderful crowd watching a game in the holiday season and for this to happen...It leaves a bad taste in the mouth." He was critical about the lack of preparation especially when these were calendered events.

The last time a match was abandoned on India was in 1997 in Indore.

P.S : This is ridiculous on the part of BCCI. BCCI and DDCA just wanna have politics... think of the game dude.... A shame for Indian cricket.
