I would hear from many Christian married women that wives are supposed to submit to their husbands and that the married man lays his life down and loves her like Christ loves us all. Well that sounded great, until it seemed I got a hold of some marriage books that said to obey my husband and even others I knew would say things like this and other similar comments, "He/my husband can't lead if you don't follow." And other comments where spoken to me like, "Oh he( meaning my husband) will be ultimately held responsible." And that was a response from someone, when I asked my husband if he could get the kids jackets out of the car when it was snowing cold out before we all got in...he stood their and really didn't feel they needed it, and as we went back and forth, the by stander said, "Oh that he would be held ultimately responsible."

That is like saying I should just let go of all my motherly GOD GIVEN responsibilities and follow this just ONE HUMAN MAN MY HUSBAND! Oh, that makes me so mad! Don't let anyone tell you to back off as a mom from protecting your children, EVER! God doesn't see us women as MORE GODLY if we always leave this "ultimate decision" in the hands of our husbands. If fact it is quite foolish. We are created to be helpers to our husbands, which means an ezer in Hebrew to help hold our man accountable too! We aren't created to just serve and help only our husbands MISSION and DREAMS in life.

In fact, if you don't speak up and hold your husband accountable to ungodly things and think you are always to just be quiet then that is the more foolish thing to do! My husband had a very hard time that I had a "voice" in our marriage as it grew over the years, and even a voice to say, "No, I don't want to do that, or no I don't want the kids to watch that."

Wow this can get long, I have had so much bottled up about this issue and it's time to let it out, and I hope I can help other Christian women realize you are not crazy if you desire a mutual respect, want to be best friends, and work as "CO-HEIRS" in Christ with your husband! God has been revealing this truth to many Christian couples that most Christians are taught backwards to how a marriage should work. Most say that the women is to just submit and never say "NO" to sex and do it even when their husbands have been jerks to them! And then your husband can lay down his life down for you. Well, the truth is that the husband is the "head" but not in the way we have all been taught. The part of the husband being the "head" means SOURCE, he is the source of life, he is suppose to bring life to his wife and children not dictatorship! Being the "head" doesn't mean he has authority over you! He is the one that is suppose to lay down his life, get this..."FIRST" he is the MAN and women are responders! What women would not want to love on her GODLY MAN if he truly laid down his life for her! Yes at times we as wives can give lay down what we want and yield (submit) too, this is a good thing, but it has been so overrated, actually called OPPRESSION for women.

I have been and seen many couples in these unhealthy Christian marriages, actually most have been in this old upside down way and it can range from severe obedience on the wife's part to more laid back, like, "Oh we always try to be in agreement on things and for the most part we really never run into that problem where "he" the husband has to "use" his authority, but if it comes down to it, he will make the ultimate decision! Nice try, some like to show that they are really loving to their wives and to make them feel like they are equal in the decisions by saying that. But I don't buy it and either does God. We know as women when we are truly valued.

Of course people will disagree with me on my beliefs and that is fine by me. I am just so happy I now know that I don't have to live in that lie anymore and can now truly grow closer and become best friends with my husband. And I am happy to say my husband agrees that this is the right way to view the marriage. We both have read the following books and I can say I agree with 90% of what it talks about. So I will recommend you read them and past them to everyone you know that is living the other way. And you may wonder, well what does it hurt if the couple both agree on the upside down way and don't mind it? Well I say still give it to the couple and pray for them to see the truth after all we are all trying to represent Christ and our loving God to the world. And I don't want the world to see Christianity as a women only submit first, and that the husbands are the final authority, because God should be the ultimate authority in the marriage.

READ BOOK 1 FIRST:

READ THIS NEXT BOOK 2

My husband and I have been married for almost this August 12 years, and even though I have known and believed in a more mutual submission and respect, we are just this year making some head way! HA, no pun intended! But really my husband is becoming more of the man of my dreams as I hear him admitting he has been at fault for the problems we have had in the past, seeing him becoming more humble, seeing him creating a safer environment to hear how I feel about life, and I love that he wants to be my best friend and I don't feel as though he is against me and having to not share "certain things" with his wife! We still have a long way to go, but we are on our way to an outrageously happy marriage! I can't wait to really feel I am in one of those! Thanks for reading again! And I pray for whoever read this that God would reveal His truth to you and your spouse or older adult children, friends etc.. what he really intended a marriage relationship to be...and that is OUTRAGEOUSLY HAPPY!

May God Bless Our Marriages!

Danielle

P.S. Here are the lyrics to the first two songs on my playlist!

Bryan Adams - Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman Lyrics

To really love a woman
to understand her
youve got to know what deep inside
hear every thought see every dream
and give her wings when she wants to fly
and when you find yourself lying helpless in her arms
You know you really love a woman

When you love a woman
you tell her that shes really woman
When you love a woman
you tell her that shes the one
She needs somebody
to tell her that its gonna last forever
So tell me have you ever really
really, reallly
ever loved a woman?
Just tell me have you ever really,
really, really, ever loved a woman?
Just tell me have you ever really,
really, really, ever loved a woman?

Bryan Adams - Never Let Go Lyrics

Can you lay your life down, so a stranger can live?
Can you take what you need, but take less than you give?
Could you close every day, without the glory and fame?
Could you hold your head high, when no one knows your name?
That's how legends are made, at least that's what they say.

We say goodbye, but never let go.
We live, we die, cause you can't save every soul.
Gotta take every chance to, show that you're the kinda man who;
Will never look back, never look down,
and never let go.

Can you lose everything, you ever had planned?
Can you sit down again, and play another hand?
Could you risk everything, for the chance of being alone?
Under pressure find the grace, or would you come undone?
That's how legends are made, at least that's what they say? Oh how beautiful, content, and happy the child seem. A glow on their mom's and dad's face, a peace and love you feel around a family like this. I have seen a few families practice attachment parenting and that is when I learned from them that their was another name/label for the type of parent I was already becoming. And that name was, attachment parenting.

When I had my first child, Whitney I loved to breastfeed her, and hold her, and pick her up when she cried. I never listened to those parenting books that said you should let the child cry themselves to sleep or have a schedule breastfeeding time. I would pick her up cuddle her and nurse her on demand! She grew to be a happy and content baby. I did at first do the crib thing, but wanted it right next to my bed or a little away from it. Then one night I remember letting her fall asleep with me and it felt so right.

My second child came my first son, Cole. I remember when I was in the hospital and it was a few hours after I had him that a nurse saw I was trying to nurse Cole. I was gently stroking his head and tyring to get him to breastfeed, when the nurse came up to me and said, Oh honey you need to do this, and she started to rub his head pretty rough and shoved his face closer to my breast. I just took it for that minute and she left. But after she left I knew again to follow my mother's heart and continued to be gentle with my son. I did understand what the nurse's point was, she wanted me to wake my son more so he would nurse, and that is fine but you can do it more gently I thought. My point now is that I am so glad most of the time as I became a mommy again and again I just kept following my heart and being the mom God wanted me to become, and it went against the "norm" that's for sure. When I found out their was a label for the type of parent I was, I of course started reading books about pro-breastfeeding, attachment parenting, co-sleeping, baby carrying, positive discipline, relaxed learning/unschooling, home birth, natural preventative health. And the list may go on! I found out many other parents were raising their children like me as well and was very encouraged.

I am by far a perfect mom, I have had my issues with yelling, believing in spanking punitive punishment, only knew to believe in western medicine...and the list could go on again. It's interesting even though I was starting to practice attachment parenting and came to learn even more great things from reading more about it, the one thing I didn't hear of yet was positive discipline and because of my Christian religion I bought a parenting book that was a punitive method and taught about spankings and to do it in love. And as I started to live that out with my first child things did get more distant and I did not like it nor did I think it was a very natural or rational thing to do! It took me until my third child, my son Brett was a baby when I found Christians called the Gentle Christian Mommy's and they practiced positive discipline/grace based discipline. I was annoyed at first that I just believed what I was indoctrinated with as a child and never studied or looked up in depth the scriptures passages for myself. But there I was reading and learning what the true meanings of what discipline really meant AND how God/Jesus felt about being kind and loving to children. This also happened with me about what I believed my "role" as a wife was. I fell into the same trap of childhood indoctrination and believing what everyone else told me instead of studying myself, so I did start to study what a wife's role is and now I am at a much healthier place and so is my husband I might add to what we believe the marriage relationship should look like. But that's another story that I will share later... for now let's focus on my attachment parenting.

So I just wanted others to know that understanding attachment parenting is a beautiful gift you can give to yourself, children, and family all around. I now have six children and hope to have more some day. I started co-sleeping more with my second and realizing I wasn't wrong or so weird, since I naturally started to with my first but knew it really wasn't in our American culture, so what was wrong with me I would think, I felt so different. Everyone else were getting cribs and convertible cribs, bumper pads, pacifiers. I was co-sleeping, breastfeeding on demand using no pacifiers and letting my children self-wean themselves when they were ready. I started to carry my babies more with the sling or the baby carrier I had. This just all felt so natural for me to do.

And now well the ages of my children are 11, 8 1/2, 6, 3 1/2, 2, 2 (twins). And I breastfeed my 3 year old still she loves to nurse. And I nurse my 2 year old twins and co-sleep with them mainly. The rest of our children will still co-sleep with us off and on. The other night my 6 year old slept and the bottom of my king mattress which is on the floor (easy for me and the twins to get on and off). It's funny how at the end of one end of our house we have four bedrooms, and how at times all of us a family of eight will be sleeping in only two of them or even one if daddy is away on business.

I am blessed to still stay home with my children after all these years. And even when we don't always have lots financially, still being with them far outweighs the money aspect of having to put them in a daycare, why have children if you aren't going to raise them yourselves? Do you want others to be the main influence on your child's life and instill their values or do you want your children to value your own? Well I am just saying I could not imagine not raising my children in this way. Being a mommy is the best gift ever, I just love my children and I just love all children they are such blessings! You know that feeling of how cute they just are? The feeling like you can't take it because they are so cute and innocent. My 6 year old the other day told his older sister as they were outside playing and trying to caught ladybugs..."Look Whitney, that lady bug is taking a ride on another one!" Oh how fumny I just started busting up laughing! Oh I need to write what funny things they say down more often!

I am posting a book I heard is a great read for attachment parents or for those wanting to learn more, it's posted below. I have not read it yet but I am excited to. Blessings and have a Happy breastfeeding, co-sleeping day and night!

My Learning Philosophies...

Hello all!
What is my philosophy on education? Well, I have studied different teaching philosophies. I do like a few IF I really were to home school my children with more of a structured program and schedule here is what I would choose: Charlotte Mason and Raymond Moore (Better Late Than Early) methods.

But since I am more of an relaxed "homeschooler"/ unschooler, I still use Charlotte Mason's and Raymond Moore's Methods but in a relaxed way and with a twist. For example, the Charlotte Mason way would teach reading using whole language, which I don't use when my children are ready to learn to read. We use the Spalding Method/Vertical Phonics, the Orton Gillingham, and the Ayers spelling list. This is a method that teaches children how to spell first while learning how to write the letters in manuscript or cursive, it also teaches on spelling rules. So while they are learning how to spell the child is learning how to READ their words, and write them as they are dictated to them. I like the Phonics Solutions CD-ROM for learning in this way, it's the best and most simple to use with this method. I am comfortable with this because I have used two other programs based on this method that was teacher intensive when we were trying to do homeschool(do school at home); and they are Spelling to Write and Read by Wanda Sansari and The Phonics Road by Barbara Beers. They both taught me a lot and I have taken what I have learned and applied the spelling song tunes from the phonics road to sing with the kids, underlining the phonograms when they do copywork out of a classic. So I don't use those programs anymore, and one could get by with just the Phonics Solutions on the CD-Rom and save lots of money too!

Anyway, back to my learning philosophy. Like I said above I am a relaxed homeschooler/unschooler, and a Christian one too! I say that because some think you really can't unschool if you are a Christian. Hey all I know is that everyone has their own definitions of what things mean, and to me I am learning to be more relaxed or learning to accept that is the best way to learn at home. I am trying to accept that I really don't "homeschool," I and my children don't do well with the "school at home" style. So it made me rethink what am I if I don't really homeschool my children?

Well there are a few names for families that choose not to be so formal and more relaxed with learning from home. Some of the names are relaxed homeschooler, unschooler, natural learning, and Christian unschooler. So I have realized I fit into any of those labels pretty well. To me the difference between a unschooler and Christian unschooler, is that Christian unschoolers are allowing more freedom for their children to follow their interest and not to be pushy on them compared to just homeschoolers, BUT compared to just unschoolers they don't have complete freedom still as even some unschoolers would say. And that is true with some Christian unschoolers, we have let go way way more, BUT again we unschool in the freedom of Christ. And that means we really aren't always so free to just serve, watch, or do just anything we want because we serve our Lord Jesus Christ and are under His freedom and not the world's freedom. I hope I am explaining that right.

If I didn't believe in God or was not a Christian I would be an unschooler allowing all this freedom to my children. But since I am a Christian I try to have a more relaxed, natural, unschooled, way of learning for my children and that includes positive discipline. Which yes includes limited choices for my children at times. For example, they for the most part can choose when they want to do the "Daily Learning List" during the day as long as it's done before bed. But sometimes their choices are more limited right down to for example, "You can take your cod liver oil now or in five minutes." And I know lots of unschoolers would think that is not truly giving your children the freedom they need. I still think I am giving them the freedom they need in Christ though, and I so far feel good about not letting them choose to stay up whenever they want or eat whatever they want.

I think Christians can use the learning philosophy from unschooling, and some are radical unschoolers and still Christians. But I am not there yet and don't think I ever will be. I just can't see for now how it fits to protect them as a Godly parent. But with all that said, I highly believe that just homeschooling (doing school at home) will burn a lot of moms out and kids and that their is a better way to learn than the traditional model. I would say being more relaxed to trust your children's interest is fun and so relieving and gives them a little power to love learning instead of always being told what to learn, how to learn, and when to learn.

Another thing I think is really the most important is using Positive Discipline in the home whether you homeschool or are more relaxed because this is a loving way to teach children to become self-disciplined in a kind and firm way. I really love what I am learning about positive discipline, and I am so not into the punitive/punishing methods. I use to think it was the Godly thing to do, but God has lead me to the truth about what discipline really means and it's not punishment, it means to disciple, to teach. More on this later....

So I should finish up on our learning philosophy...it looks a little like this...First just know we don't start or stop "school", we don't test or do grades, we are learning all year long in a relaxed natural way. I think we have been living this relaxed way since I began homeschooling, but still not really living it out to it's fullest. The reason we haven't lived this more relaxed way out to the fullest is because all I knew of was the traditional model of education and kept trying to fit us into that at home over and over again, even if we would go days as unschoolers learning in informal ways I would feel guilty. I would tell the kids we need to "do school" today and keep at it because we don't want to get behind. But in fact I am learning that you really don't need to compare your children to every other child. If they are learning at home they really are never behind or ahead of themselves. It has been said by the author of Raymond Moore that children can start an education at 13 years of age and finish high school in two to three years! I have seen this in action! When my 8 year old son was ready to learn to write in his time table he went must faster than when I use to demand he sit and learn it starting at 6 years old!

It feels good to realize that the kids and I don't have to feel guilty or bad about answering peoples questions about "doing school." Since we don't do school we can just tell stories of what we are interested in, what we like to do etc..learning happens everyday. And just because it's summer doesn't mean we are on "summer break," because we are learning all the time. Sometimes, yes it may look like some "school" is happening but basically it looks more like just sitting down with mom reading or doing a math lesson and asking for help when needed, or playing games together. The only curriculum we use so far is Math U See for math and The Phonics Solutions CD-ROM for penmanship, spelling, and reading; and which I might add these are programs the kids like and are simply a reinforcement so they can do other things of interest when they have a deeper knowledge on math or phonics.

Other learning resources we use are from living books, classic books they copy and read, and using the library. So we aren't against curriculum, I love it and love researching the best way to learn a subject but for the most part, unless the kids are interested in a certain history or science curriculum I am not on a hunt for curriculum anymore. If I think a certain curriculum will help reinforce something that they need I will buy it.

For example, my sons want to learn all about money and where it came from etc.. and my daughter wants to learn about why it thunders and what makes lighting, so I mentioned to them if they would like to get some books at the library about it and do a lapbook or notebook about it, and they were all excited! I was so excited myself, because when a mom can finally realize to follow her children's interests, you won't have to be up late creating what science or history curriculum YOU want to do or what the school system says kids should do at a certain age, then come to find out the kids can't stand it! What a waist of our time, and I don't even have their attention because it's not a subject of interest!

It's kind of like making a meal that YOU think they will love and you plan the menu out, go grocery shopping, create the dish, and you hear YUCK from your kids! So then I go back to the basics and try to remember what healthy and simple things they like so it's not a waste of time! So why can't we try to do this with their education? Why try to shove math drills in their face and make them sit there at 9am everyday when they could choose to do it and be encouraged later when they aren't so antsy. Let them go run around outside for awhile, or maybe they want to read a story first instead! It's just respectful to children, our homes our not institutions! Learning should just flow inside and outside of our homes!

I love it when I realized this, what a relief! Again don't shove peas or some nasty veggie down their throats if they really can't take it, make them a yummy smoothie with some green superfood powder instead and they'll get their greens! I know some things need to be done down to the fine line of very limited choices, especially when it comes to safety physically, or even emotionally with certain movies or video games. But don't sweat the smaller things I tell myself, use the very limited choices when it comes to bigger issues of health or safety whether physically, emotionally, or mentally.

I am there for the children to get them interested in things, to motivate, to let them see me learning, to be their to answer and research their interests, to encourage them to do the relaxed daily learning list that they know at any time they can ask mom for help with, they also have another list of ideas of fun and learning that is not required. I will print below what our relaxed daily list looks like and our other ideas list.

Here is our daily learning list, that I give the kids all day to complete.

Eat some superfoods, raw foods, and cod liver oil...
Pray during the day alone and ask mom, or your brothers and sisters if they want to pray with you.
Phonics Solutions CD-ROM on Computer (This is a great program to learn your phonograms, spellings, and spelling rules, and you will learn to read!)
Read to mom or mom will read to you. (Narrate the story to mom, this just means to tell me about what we read in your own words, and I will write it down or you can and put it in your notebook.)
Work on your Math U See lessons!
Copywork (Choose a Classic book of the shelf and copy a couple sentences or more onto paper and underline the phonograms. Put in your notebook to save it.) For little ones mom helps them practice cursive first or manuscript.
Mom will read with you your devotion
Come to mom sometime during the day with a piece of paper and pencil, and I will dictate a word, sentence, or little paragraph for you to write down and save in your notebooks.
Do your chores and bedroom as we all have decided on as a team.

And here is the other list the kids can look to for ideas, but is not required.

MECS computer program, science, math, geography,
Puzzles, floor puzzles
Art books, coloring, drawing, painting
typing programs on computer
sing and dance
play outside
play inside
play games with each other and mom, math card games, kitchen table math,
cook with mom
make raw foods with mom
library
research on the computer with mom a certain thing you are interested in.
read stories or have mom read them to you!
read stories to your brothers or sisters
ask mom any questions you are interested in...
and have fun, you are learning everyday!

Well this is just the beginning of accepting and realizing that we are relaxed homeschool unschooly people and now I am excited to live this out to it's fullest potential, instead of feeling so burned that we always have to be doing "school." We just need to LIVE and LOVE LIFE TOGETHER in a relaxed, natural, and positive discipline way!

More Spiritual Revelations...

Hi all!

I study a lot of different topics and one I study a lot is about my beliefs in God, and religion. I have been studying Judisam just because I thought the roots of Christianity came from it. Well what I found out is interesting. Christianiy came from Judisam yes and no.

The Hebrews/Jewish people definetly were given the responsiblity to carry on the belief in the one true God of Abraham. God gave them this special task and the other 10 tribes or so were despersed throughout the world now known as the Gentiles and which I believe many are Christians. So even though the orginal hebrew scriptures were passed down through the Jewish people, the Jews also added on many tradtions within Judisam. For example, the night before the Sabbath the women of the house will light two candles and say a prayer at sunset. In the beginning God set apart the 7th day to rest but it didn't have to do with certain times when to start or to light candles. I am not saying if you want your sabbath table to look pretty it's wrong to light candles.

So as I have been studying and learning the Shema prayer and learning it in hebrew, Hear O Israel the Lord Our God the Lord is One. And have been thinking me and the kids should learn hebrew and the prayers of the Jewish people after all it's the roots of our faith right? Well not really I come to find. Singing scripture, or praying it isn't wrong either, but I come to find that being a Messianic really can find someone coming into the trappings of the religion of Judisam. I was starting to feel like the more jewish things I learn the better and closer to God's truth we become.

Then I realized and found that many other Christians and a few denominations also celebrate our Messiah Jesus through the Holy Days, and the Saturday Sabbath as well. I talked with a pastor from such a church for awhile on the phone and asked some of their differences compared to a Messianic place. It's was a very enlightening conversation. I was very excited to find a Christian place that didn't empasize Judisam not that they were anti-jewish but that their were people out there in the world reconizing what I have been feeling. I first must say that learning hebrew, learning the jewish prayers and songs are still pretty special because it's all based in the hebrew scriptures (Old Testament). But it isn't necessary to live that way.

To me it was overwhelming and I realized that the new covenant is much simpler much more freeing, living with grace. Not that grace takes away the law of the precious Holy Days, or real true Sabbath day. Jesus came not to abolish the law but He came to fulfill it. So we can celebrate in His grace. Praise God He didn't just end with the Old Testament! I realized as well in my studies that the groups that call themselves Messianics are a mixture of Christianity and Judisam. Messianic congegrations are still a form of Chrisitanity. I value the Jewish people but I don't want to get trapped in the old religion that the jews added on. I want to stick to the original days God told us to celebrate and which Jesus himself celebrated. I also went to a website called wwwjewsforjudisam.com and found it interesting that they are warning other jews of the Messianic places that will try to teach them about Yashua (Jesus) and convert them. They were saying how jews that believed in Christ use to call themselves Hebrew Christians. And that even they can go by the name Messianic Jews since they are still awaiting for the Messiah to come for the first time. I found that very interesting as well since I have been saying I am Messianic now or Messianic Isralite. Christians that accept Christ are engrafted in to the Jewish family, we are spiritual jews. I wish more Christian churches would turn form the roman pagan ways of celebrating our Lord and really see how God set apart the Holy Days to see the plan of salvation of Christ in them. Yes we would resemble the jewish people but we would still be set apart because we have accepted Jesus and are waiting for His second coming. Ok sorry if I have just been writing in circles, what is my point?

Well that you don't have to be a Messianic to be celebrating the Holy days, many Christians are doing this and have been for centuries.

Messianic congegrations are still a from of Christianity but mixed with Judisam, some more so than others I realize.

Wishing more Christians would read and learn and celebrate our Messiah through the Holy Days.

And realizing that my spiritual identity although yes we are engrafted as a Messianic isralite and spiritual jew, but overall I am a Christian! I believe and follow Jesus or some say in hebrew Yahshua and believe He is the one true God! We only have one true God to serve.

So I am excited to share once again were I have been led to spiritually. So I will be worshipping my Lord everyday and on those special Holy Days whether at home, or in a Messiainic congegration or even a Christian one that celebrates the Holy Days. And maybe I will be led all the way back to were I was at the beginning of being a Christian, I don't know. But I will continue to seek God's truth and even though it might change a little, He knows my heart and I love Him. So I will receive any new spiritual revelations that God brings my way and just want to stay open to His Holy Spirit. Amen!

Happy Passover and Feast of First Fruits!

Happy Passover/Unleavened Bread

And

Happy Feast of First Fruits the Ressurection

of our Messiah Yahushua!

Yahushua is our Passover Lamb!

And Yahushua is our First Fruits!

Our Messiah has fullfilled Passover! (Bryan Adams)

I heard this on the radio the other day and it's funny how I heard this song when it came out a long time ago, I was young and didn't really get it.

Now...years later and being a married women it means so much to me and brings me to tears. If Bryan Adams wrote this himself or whoever wrote it truly understands how to treat a women/wife. Not much to do with the land since it's winter and we were focusing on making the inside of the house nice. Hopefully in Spring or Summer we can do some things on the outside. I would like to put up fencing and a gate by our main entrance, but all the sides and back end of the land is fenced. The climate is high desert prairie land. We need to bring in our own trees, build a garage, and get a garden started in Spring or Summer I hope. Our home is heated through the use of propane, we have a huge tank outside and it gets filled every few months. We also have a fireplace inside to keep warm, and for summer we have a swamp cooler. We have our own well for water and it taste great. I have seen only one coyote and mostly only hear them at night howling if your outside, but they don't come near. Our dog Ruger killed two in a pack of 4 once and since they haven't come near our land the previous owner said. But we see lots of bunnies, actually one ran through Cole's legs today! Below I posted some pictures of the outside of our house and some of our views. Well I will update every now and then since I am busy still unpacking.

Here is a picture of our house

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; style="font-family:verdana;font-size:130%;">Hello again, today I have been updating my blog. It has been fun and I realized I have never shared my conversion story from being a Christian to a Messianic Israelite! I don't think their is much of a "conversion" in the sense that we are all on the same team but with different names and different days we celebrate our Saviour the Messiah. I will list a chart I found online that shows some of the differences of a Christian and a Messianic.

But before I list the chart I found I wanted to share my story of why I like to celebrate our Saviour in a Messianic way. About five years ago I started to read more about the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith. I found out wonderful meanings of the Holy Days and how they each represent our Messiah. I found out more about our Messiah's Hebrew Name Yeshua and then yet another translation Yahushua. Most Messianic places I've been to use Yeshua which is still closer than using the name Jesus.

I was really amazed that even the Christian Protestant movement still has it's foundation on the Greco-Roman Church culture. The Protestants came out of the Catholic church but still with almost all the same observances like the day of rest on Sundays, the holidays of easter and christmas, the same usage of names for the Messiah.

I grew up in the Catholic faith. When I was 17 years old I then accepted Jesus while attending a Protestent church. I thought great I am becoming a Christian now! I was so excited and had the idea that Catholics were not Christian but you needed to accept the Saviour to be one. It took me a couple years to realize that Catholic were Christian! I have no idea of what took me so long to realize this. Actually, one day while I was talking to my Noni(my grandma) about my faith she shared with me that her father once told her to picture two sticks and to remember that Jesus died on the cross for her sins and he told her to accept Him in her heart! And my Noni was Catholic and always taught me about God and our Saviour as I was growing up. I told her I did the same thing and that now I understood we both were saved even though she went to a Catholic church and I went to a Protestant one.

So as the years passed by I grew closer in my relationship with the Lord. I then came across the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith and was blown away at how our Elohim(God) gave us days that are set apart to worship Him and our Messiah. I couldn't just forget about the truths I learned and not teach my children these same truths. I felt strange then to tell my children that Christmas meant the birth of Christ when in all truth it never did mean that, while His birth actually took place during one of the Holy Days, Feast of Tabernacles. Or that during easter Jesus rose from the dead, when really in all truth He died on Passover, and rose again during the Feast of Firstfruits.

So I do teach them the Holy Days now. But since I am married to a Christian we are still using a mix of the Christian names and Hebrew ones. My husband knows it's important to me to teach them the real roots of our faith and we have attended a Messianic church together awhile ago. I think we will be going at least twice a month, and I would then like to use the other two Sabbath days of the month to celebrate at home and rest because that's what it's all about resting in His love and grace.

For me to be a Messianic I live it through grace in Yahushua! When studying the roots of my Christian faith it has just brought me closer to Him in love and grace. And that's why I like to say I am a Messianic Isralite now because I like to focus on the Sabbath day, and Holy Days instead of the other Christian holidays. We are all on our own path with Him and I do still enjoy Christian songs, and stories with the name of Jesus because that is how I grew up. But I like to foucs more on our Messiah's Hebrew names and Holy Days.

I am glad to share this with the world that I believe and have accepted Yahushua in my heart and confess He is the Son of Yahuah our one true Elohim!

Here is an article below I found that I said I would share with you.

How are Messianics different from Christians? Both claim to follow the same Person, yet in practice differ in every way.

WHO OR WHAT ARE MESSIANICS?
Messianics are followers of Yahushua of Natsarith, the Messiah of Israel, who also obey Torah (The Covenant with Israel).
Our belief is that all people outside the Covenant must engraft through the Covenant, written upon their hearts by the Spiritual indwelling of the Messiah.

DIFFERENCES:
Messianics: the true Hebrew Name of the Creator is called upon: Yahuah (yod-hay-uau-hay).
The Messiah’s true Name is used: Yahushua.
The weekly Sabbath is observed as a day of rest, according to the Commandment.
The 7 annual festivals commanded for Israel to observe are observed, and there is no observance of a single “Christian” festival, which are all derived from Pagan festivals.

Christians: the Creator's Name is avoided, and instead "devices" or generic terms are used to refer to Him. Examples are LORD, GOD, and the mongrelized hybrid, "JEHOVAH". The Messiah's Name is corrupted beyond all recognition, to a meaningless Greco-Roman one.
The weekly Sabbath is NOT observed as a day of rest, but is thought to be moved to "Sun-day".
The 7 annual festivals commanded for Israel to observe are ignored, and replaced with 7 "sacraments", violating the command to not add or take away from Torah.

Examples of these differences:

Messianic
Observe the Festivals
of Yahuah (Dt. 16, Lev. 23)
Sabbath (7th day)
Passover
Matsah
Shabuoth
Yom Teruah
Yom Kaphar
Sukkoth
Hebrew calendar

Ultimate determination:
The Messiah of Israel observed all of these practices listed under Messianics.

Christians
Don't obey the Covenant, rather adhere to various "sacraments".
Sunday (1st day)
Ash Wednesday
Lent
Easter
Pentecost
All Saints Day
Christmas
Epiphany
Roman calendar

WHO OR WHAT ARE CHRISTIANS?
Without knowing it, Christians are followers of a Greco-Roman culture of names, terms, and festivals, all adopted intact from Pagan sources, yet adapted or mixed carefully with ideas and people from the Hebrew Scriptures.
The mixing together of practices and beliefs is called syncretism.
Every detail of Scriptural observance was omitted, and replaced with new observances. With skillfully crafted reasoning over many centuries, the formerly Pagan observances were camouflaged or wrapped in new meanings.
Examples:
Sacraments - Yahuah never commanded them, hinted at them indirectly, or mentioned any such thing. They add to the Torah, against Dt. 12.
Sun-day - the Day of the Sun.

Easter Day - the Pagan festival of the impregnation of Mother Earth by the rays of the springtime sun. Ostara, Astarte, Eostre, Asherah, Eastron, and other names were used for this Pagan deity. It became adopted to refer to Yahushua’s day of resurrection.

Christmas - The winter solstice festival, commemorated as the nativity of the sun, re-thought by Dionysius Exiguus in 525 CE, now promoted as the birthday of the Messiah of Israel. Wreaths (wombs), trees (phalluses), tinsel (semen) & balls (testes) were used to observe the sexual aspects of this Pagan ritual. The tree was an altar where offerings were placed for the deity (Asherah).
The womb wreaths represented Baal, and the phallus trees represented Asherah. This is a practice inherited from the ancient Canaanites, specifically Jezebel.

Ultimate determination:
The Messiah of Israel observed none of these practices.
1 John 2:3-6"We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His Commands. The man who says, "I know him ," but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the Truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys His Word, Elohim's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him: Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Yahushua did."
If we walk "as" Yahushua did, we do the things He did, and observe the observances He observed, according to the Word of Yahuah. He lived as our example. So, how does it become appropriate for us to ignore all the things He did, and embrace Christmas, Easter, and Sun-day, observances borrowed from Pagan cultures?
This brief comparison page is intended to EXPOSE the darkness and deception that has overtaken the world."For you were once darkness, but now you are LIGHT in (the Rabbi). Live as children of LIGHT (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases (Yahuah). Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them." Eph 5:8-12
You may consider the darkness and Pagan practices exposed; learn more, and how we are supposed to be living by reading your Scriptures, the Word of Yahuah, and order the book "Fossilized Customs" by clicking on the "CATALOG" button at the top of this page.
Find out what pleases Yahuah, your Creator.

I found this article written from Lew White at his website http://www.fossilizedcustoms.com/messianicchristian.html

So Busy Packing...

Hi all I know it's been a few months again since I posted. But it will also kill the phytonutrients and when irradiated foods have been given to rats they have delevoped tumors etc...irradiated foods kill vital nutrients in the food. Foods these days already do not have the nutrients they once did 50 years ago. Our soil use to have around 32-52 trace minerals in it now I think it's down to 9. Anyway, I will be buying organic and making it work because we really don't have a choice now. And I will be learning how to grow our own food because the direction the FDA is going is not good and I beleive we will need to sustain ourselves and grow our own foods if we want to be healthy.

God, 5-Point Harness, Anchors, and Teathers...

Hi All! Also check with your car insurance company and make sure your car seats are covered in a accident or even theft. The other day I was thinking hey I wonder if their is such a thing as car seat insurance! So I got online and was told to check with my car insurance company which I will be doing this coming week. Because car seats are not cheap these days to replace so any financial reimbursement will help.

Healing Our Bodies

There are many ways to bring healing to your body. I believe we all could benefit greatly if started on a journey to heal our bodies. I mean spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Here I wanted to share with you some links that will greatly help you to start to heal physically.

We can prevent illness, tooth decay, diseases, and so much more by learning and applying the truth about the correct diet we should be eating. We have not been told the truth of how to care for our bodies. Instead we have been dummed down by many in the medical field, media, and schools to believe that drugs, vaccines, and the typical food pyramid is what is best. They are wrong! They are money hungry greedy people who don't want you to know the truth. Do I sound angry? Well yes it make me angry to be lied too! But I don't have to follow suite anymore, we can unschool our brains to really know the truth and start taking responsibility for our own health. Did God give us doctors and the medical profession for a reason? Yes for emergencies I can see a use. But it's not health care it's sick care they are their when we need some major intervention and God can guide their hands. But don't be fooled that they know anything about nutrition.

Most will not teach you that the root of your problems come from your diet. They will recommend to cover it up with drugs. Well if that's what you want that's your choice. But I want to break the cycle in my family about the truth about how to live a healthy long life and not have to live in a convalescent home. For you older people you can be so free from your diseases you don't even realize. You can start juicing fresh juice with your own juicer, eat lots of raw foods, and green smoothies. And you can get healed and live a pain free live until you die! You don't have to live on drugs lying there in a convalescent bed!

Read the links below and start living!

http://www.healingourchildren.net/

http://www.westonaprice.org/splash_2.htm

http://www.alissacohen.com/shop/home.php?bid=2&partner=Daniell Go to the books and DVD section and start learning how to make raw foods!

I am on this journey too, I have started some of this but still trying to get all my resources together and do more myself. Step by step we will learn.

Please note my blog is for informational purposes only. Please do your own research and take responsibillity for your own health. What...?...that's what I thought. Read on.

Did you know that the U.S. uses Cassia which is similar to the real Ceylon Cinnamon? The UK will not use Cassia because it contains higher levels of Coumarin which can affect the liver.

I never knew this and thought I would share with you all a link to finally buy real cinnamon. I can't wait to taste it! You can also check out this link to help you identify real cinnamon vs the cassia. I even went into my kitchen and looked at my organic cinnamon made from the company Frontier and found it is the cassia spice...and it is not the real stuff. But I hear they do sell the real cinnamon sticks. I will let you all know what I think of the real stuff after I try it. Talk to you later...

If you don't want to buy online ask your local health food shop or find a spice shop. I found one in Colorado here at www.savoryspiceshop.com you can order online or go pick up. It is not organic but the store is looking into getting organic items. Dr. Ron Paul supports many issues close to my heart...for example he supports allowing parents to be in charge of their child's education not the government. He supports Home Education, alternative health care and doesn't support mandatory vaccinations, he is also pro-life from the moment of conception. He also does not agree on the war in Iraq and wants our troops home! I agree!! He also wants to do away with taxes period! And another thing about education he wants to give us back $3,000-5,000 dollars for each child's education even home schoolers! That means I could use that money for so many things...buying the curriculum they need, extra curricular activites we can't afford, savings for college etc...!

I agree with his stand that we need less government. I love his statement. "The Constitution was written to restrain the government, never to restrain the people." By Ron Paul

The government is suppose to protect our liberty, not keep us away from it!

"...instead of simply debating spending levels, we ought to be debating whether the departments, agencies, and programs funded by the budget should exist at all."

-Congressman Ron Paul 2004

Yes Ron Paul is against this war, wants to put and end to taxes and the IRS, abolish departments such as the Department of Education...many may think how can we do this...but listen to him people it's all about what we think the "Role of our government should be." If we "unschool our learning about what the government's role is", and put it in it's proper role then the above actions will hold strong for our country.

Our country is in major debt...and borrowing money from China to help fund this war. This war is not Constitutional and Congress did not declare war, but one man is now given all the power to make such a call the President and then he has to listen to the UN Untied Nations of what he can and cannot do...Functioning as President within our Constitution is what I am looking for. Our Fonding Fathers had wisdom for such adversary from other countries, and our government is changing going away from the very wisdom of the Constitution!

China's even the biggest beneficiary for American taxpayer subsidies, we give them $4 billion through the US government's Export-Import Bank! The church of Rome wanted to convert pagans to follow the church and to accept Jesus as their Messiah, but they compromised and added their pagan customs and choose their gods days to worship our Messiah. That seems a little backwards to me, God says not to mix our worship with pagan things. How does that give honor to our Savior?

If we were to join in with the pagan beliefs I doubt they were going to compromise and let us bring in a menorah to worship their gods with..think about this for a moment. There is so much you can read about all of this and I have some links to go to if you want to learn more below.
Their are still a lot of Christians who think easter and Christmas is still our holidays and how dare the world try to materialize "our" days for the Lord...but if you think about it they really never were set apart for us to follow or to try and change for even good. We are really celebrating on their gods days. Ok so maybe we can turn some evil things into good but I now don't get so mad seeing the world do Christmas as if it was our Christan holiday. I guess you make it what you want the focus on.
The church has tried hard to make getting a tree and decorating it about Christ by using an Advent calendar and making a Jesse Tree. The Church wanted the "Christian" tree to be focused on Christ from the rest of the worlds. So some people use the Jesse Tree with the prophecy of Jesus starting with Creation through His Birth. I think that's seems great if you are going to celebrate the Messiah's birth on Christmas then why not have your decorations focused on Him! So I did have the kids find some branches and make some Jesse Tree ornaments. Their is a verse for each symbol it tells the family line of Jesus. So since Jason wants to still celebrate His birth on Christmas why not try to make the focus on are Savior.

Here are some pictures below of our Jesse Tree and the children making the ornaments.

And here is Jason proud of his fake Christmas Tree.

Here we are taking the children out to Red Robin for dinner! So what does that mean? To me it means I can celebrate the holy days in grace, and I am not talking about following Judaism and the Talmud that man added to. I am talking about celebrating our Messiah and Elohim in the freedom of Jesus.
To me at least this is about rejoicing that our God had a plan from the very beginning to get us out of our sinfulness to live holy lives for Him. He commanded the people to celebrate these days in the Old Testament and if they didn't yes they did get in trouble. And they had to sacrifice animal the blood for their sins. But then Yeshua Jesus came to end all that to fulfill what they were doing and to be our sacrifice so we would celebrate in freedom. When I celebrate the Holy Days I am reminded of the miracles that God did for His people back then And I am reminded of what God did for us by sending Himself to die for us so we could live forever.

When I celebrate Passover I am reminded that Yeshua Jesus is my passover lamb and during the Feast of FirstFruits I am reminded that he rose again for us. And during the Feast of Tabernacles I am reminded that our Messiah was born during this time and that some day He will return and Tabernacle among us. And Hanukkah which is also called the Festival of Lights I am reminded that Yeshua is the Light of the world, and that He was placed in Mary by the Holy Spirit during this feast! Wow by celebrating and learning these I have only seen myself and others be in Awe of our Creator of how wonderfully He plans things out for us!

Now what about easter and Christmas should we keep celebrating it? That is a question I have been trying to figure out...is it wrong to use pagan symbols for worshipping our King? It does say in the Scriptures not to use pagan things. I think God knows where we each are at in our walk with Him, and He knows our hearts. So for me I choose to celebrate the Holy Days, my husband is still enjoying the traditions he grew up with and doesn't think this all matters. Maybe not I could be wrong and so may be many others starting to celebrate the Holy Days.

I do know we are not to judge what each other eats, what days they celebrate the Sabbath on or Holy Days. I think that meant that as Gentiles were being saved the Israelites were not to force these days on them and in time they were to come to celebrating them, lots of grace here. But the church then went their separate ways and didn't want anything related to Judaism and now claimed that there is a New Covenant that didn't look anything like Jewish. I think we were not suppose to toss out the Old Covenant, it just got fulfilled and became even better and that's what the New Covenant is all about that we have our Messiah now! Amein!

So I just wanted to share some of these new journeys I am on spiritually.
I pray that God my Elohim of Isarel will give me lots of grace and love for all.

To Learn More about Our Elohim's wonderful Holy Days click some of the links below. I got her vaccinated, and thought I was being a good mother every time I went in. I did always say a little prayer before each vaccine shot in her ear as she lay there, and I didn't even know yet anything about the adverse reactions except for maybe a fever. One time I went in I even asked about a chickenpox vaccine I heard about. And the nurse told me she already got the shot! I started to realize how ignorant or just naive I was and had really no clue as to what the shots were all about. I didn't know much about both sides of this issue.

Then after my second child was born I started to question vaccinations and their safety. I started to separate the shots with my son and not give them all at once. And I heard about the mercury and started to ask for thimerisol free vaccines. I still was researching in detail so I was still taking him in and trusting in the system with now some doubts. My son did end up having a reaction to a couple of vaccines he was given at 12 months. He seemed fine for two days and then I noticed his tongue movement seemed a little strange and he broke out in huge hives all over his body. I took him to the emergency and they gave him steroids to calm it all down. Then for months he had swollen glands next to his growin area. Of course his doctor did not say all of this was related to the vaccines and probably did not report this.

As my son grew he showed signs of being very sensitive to sound, heights, and extreme anger issues, and speech.

My son did delay in speaking clearly until age 4 and 5. He was diagnosed at age 5 with Sensory Integrated Dysfunction which is a range of Autism. I did take him to Sensory Therapy, and Speech Therapy a few times, and then realized due to money that I could do a lot of these things at home. And since I home school anyway it would work out good. And the therapist also had a goal to show me things I could do at home.

So now he is almost 7 and he is speaking clearly and I believe thriving in the learning environment I am providing. I don't think he is severe in the range of Sensory Disorder. I think with age he has improved, I don't know if he is just adapting to his disorder or truley getting healed. Of course I pray for him to be completly healed. And I do take in to account everybody's personalities are different, so I don't relate all of who he is to the disorder.

Anyway, after that incident he has not been vaccinated since. And then with my third child I had him vaccinated with only three shots and not the same kinds as with my second. And my husband was still having a hard time letting go of them all, so I did a few. But then my husband was a little more informed by our childbirth instuctor about the dangers, and he lossened up.

And now finally with my four, fifth, and sixth, I choose not to vaccinate at all. It has been a journey of faith and prayer, but I feel confident in my decision.
During my journey I was also led to eat more natural and organic foods. I am learning more about how to keep our immune systems strong. And I try to use natural cures when possible.

So check out the link above or click here http://www.thinktwice.com/ for more information about vaccines. I also do not support vaccines made with aborted fetal tissue since I am very prolife. Many of the ingredients are very toxic.

I also want to point out this is my testimony to inform others to not go into any procedure blindly and to research and pray before making a decision. And remember you have ever right to ask questions and to make and informed decision from both sides of any health issue.

Raw Foods

Here are some pictures of my raw treats I made...

Yes eating raw foods is good for you!

Above I made a raw chocolate strawberry cake, a broccoli salad made with honey as a sweetener, and some juicy grapefruit dipped in agave nectar!

Eating foods that have not been cooked retain their nutritional value! Enzymes, vitamins and minerals are lost when we cook are foods passed 118 degrees. I have been studying and making raw desserts and foods with my children. I do love some of the desserts like raw apple pie, raw chocolate raspberry cake yummy! Stawberry shortcake is so good too. You can keep all the nutrition in your food and not feel so bad eating it for breakfast!

Smoothies are also delicious to make and most kids love them.

Dipping apples in almond butter, making almond milk or sesame seed milks are fun.

Check back and I will try to make some videos making these yummy foods. This is a goal of mine to do with the kids.

Here is a link of the store I buy my Raw Chocolate, Green Superfood to put in your smoothies, Raw Honey, Coconut Oil, and more!!

Learning Resources

Come visit my Customized Home Educational Store!

I list many books we enjoy...

Most of the materials I list are things we have and use.

Langauage Arts the Spalding method, Orton Gillingham, and Riggs. These methods of learning phonics is the best I have found. Learning the Phonograms is fun too! It includes writing, spelling, reading, grammar, and composition.

For Christian Bible lessons I have some great books under the Bible section. I also like using the Heart of Wisdom Approach but my children are still quite young. I will be posting more about them scrapbooking with digital clip art of the Bible as we learn. Can't wait...

I also list our favorite Math u See, and some other resource helps.

Under baby products I have listed a few of my favorites, like the Mclaren stroller, Ergo baby carrier.
