Magma KTV & Bistro ended their 3rd heat preview of Magma Queen of the Year Pageant 2011 last Wednesday on 7 December, where all 9 beautiful talented girls was chosen to the semi final round which will be held on 14 December 2011 this coming Wednesday. The Magma Queen Popular for the 3rd heat round won by Ms. Pathlyn Leosie M, aged 19 years old who loves to cook and singing. For winning the Magma Queen Popular, Pathlyn got the immunity to the grand final and will not be eliminated during the elimination process on semi final. In addition, there will be 23 contestants from the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd heats on stage for the semi final round and will be competing for the title Magma Queen Body Beautiful.

The grand prizes for the winner will be cash prize of RM3,000 with tiara, sash, trophy and certificate. The 1^st runner up will be cash prize of RM2,000 with tiara, sash, trophy and certificate while 2^nd runner up will be cash prize of RM1,000 with tiara, sash, trophy and certificate. Apart from that, there are 3 subsidiary titles, Magma Queen Popular, Magma Queen Body Beautiful and Magma Queen Photogenic; all titles will be given cash prize of RM500 with sash, trophy and certificate. A special award also will be given to the Best Make Up Artist who will get gift vouchers worth of RM200, a trophy and certificate.

The newly refurbished Magma KTV & Bistro recently held their 1st Heat preview of Magma Queen of the Year Pageant 2011 last Wednesday 23 November, where twelve fine-looking talented girls tried their very best to amazed the judges with their talent in catwalk skills and beauties.

The Magma Queen Popular for the 1^st heat round won by Ms Amy Walter who gets the most voting from the crowds that night. A Professional photographer and Conservationist, born in Lahad Datu, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. Based in Sandakan on Sabah’s east coast, he lives in one of the world’s most diverse and exciting environments. With Borneo as his home, he is ideally situated to document every aspect of this remarkable natural world and to introduce it to others.

After graduating from university, Cede was involve in aquaculture business before plunging into the challenging task of managing the first wildlife lodge in Sukau, on the Kinabatangan river, in 1990. He learned from the ground up, running every aspect of the lodge as well as introducing researchers, film crews and tourists to the wildlife of one of the richest regions in Southeast Asia.

His constant efforts towards nature conservation led to his appointment as manager of Partners for Wetlands, a project initiated by World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Malaysia, from 1998-2001. The goal of this project was to work with various government agencies, the oil palm sector, tour operators and the local community to establish a plan for wetland management and to ensure the restoration and conservation of the Lower Kinabatangan floodplain.

Subsequently, Cede Prudente established North Borneo Safari, offering a range of services including still photography, skills and services for film shoots, and guiding for special interest groups. In addition, he conducts Photosafari trips in Parks and Wildlife Reserves in Sabah. His images are in constant demand for advertising, magazines and Malaysian tourism promotion material.

He was chosen as the contributing photographer for the book, Wild Borneo (New Holland, UK), and was the principal photographer for a number of other books including in Proboscis Monkeys of Borneo, Sabah Colour Guide: Kinabatangan (both Natural History Publications) as well as The National Parks and other Wild Places of Malaysia (New Holland, UK) and the new book, Orangutan, for the same publisher.

A photographic exhibition showcasing Cede Prudente’s work was held in 2000 in the Naturalis Museum in Leiden, the Netherlands, to raise funds and public awareness for conservation projects in the Kinabatangan floodplain.

In 2007, Cede Prudente won the prestigious Wildlife Asia “Elephant Award” for the Best Still Photograph with his “Orangutan Swinging“

A new Philippino band called “Sepia” is performing at Blue 7 in Lido Penampang. The three ladies with one guy singer and with their own band sang a wondefull mix selection of songs. Manila born band with their own attitute of singging and powerfull performances attract many people in the area to watch them performing.

Blue 7 is a club located in Penampang which has its own fun pub, badminton court and bistro. Happy hour from 12pm to 9pm. It is another recommended hangout place. The band band will start performing at 9pm till 1pm.

Miss Bo Tiza Disimon (middle) from Penampang Sabah is the 2011 Unduk Ngadau winner. She is the chosen one out of 40 beautiful ladies to represent Huminodun (Daughter of Kinorohingan God).
