Exam week is on next week and the week after! That means, its showtime for me starting next week. I declare victory over my exams right now! ;) On the bright side, summer break is coming up (Australian) for a good 3 months! For now, at least for the 1st month of my break, is already filled up with a weekend trip to KL (again..haha...2nd one this year) for a Christmas production & of course shopping and makan as well. Spontaneous cell group camp, junior high school camp, and not to forget CHRISTMAS and year end cum new year eve PARTAY!

I have finally changed my blog name from 'Borneo Pygmy Elephant' to 'Elephant Meets Elmo'. Haha. I've used the former for so long, for about 7 years! Woah! That's a pretty long period. I started this blog when I was 15 when most of my friends were actively blogging with the ancient blog called 'Xanga' and later on blogspot. Anyways, yes, I have changed to my blog name to be the same as my tumblr. Even my tumblr has just turned 3 years old recently :)

I think it's safe to say that I literally grew up with Hillsong worship albums! I suppose, Hillsong need not much introduction as it is a church that is known by worldwide Christian communities.

Apart from Hillsong, there were Hillsong United and Hillsong Kids and even the more recent one Hillsong Chapel. However, Hillsong has a brand new movement called Hillsong Young and Free!
This week, Hillsong Y&F has released their debut album 'We Are Young'
I must say I really love this brand new album of theirs! Although, there are new album also from Matt Redman (Your Grace Finds Me) and Phil Whickham (The Ascension) were released recently as well!

Satay

Last Sunday, I went on a day trip down to Sipitang to visit my sister who's currently undergoing her national service at KEM PLKN Mesapol, Sipitang.

So during this trip, I got to eat the famous Satay Sipitang. Man! It was really good! I don't usually fancy Satay much, but satays in Sipitang were really good! Enjoy the pictures posted below....Don't salivate over your screen while looking at it ;)

How do you manage your STRESS?

Most of us, if not all, have experienced stress at some point of our life (even on a daily basis). We couldn't run away from stress as long as we are still setting expectations on ourselves and perhaps 'stressing out' helps us to keep away from continuing on to procrastinates. Depending on how you look at stress, stress can be both a positive and negative thing.

However, I am not here to discuss about that today. I'm gonna share how do I usually manage my stress.

I realised that, whenever I am stressed, SHOPPING THERAPY makes me really happy. HAHA!

And guess what, this might even surprises you.....Nope nope...not buying lots of clothes or any other fashion related shopping! It's grocery shopping that relieves my stress away. I find it rather peculiar that GROCERY SHOPPING actually takes my stress away. I thought to myself, maybe is the 'happy-feeling' that seeing my food storage corner being piled up with food! LOL!

Apart shopping therapy, MUSIC THERAPY, is next on the list that takes my stress away. Any guesses which genre that I listen to? Let me tell you, I particularly like 'Light and Easy' and 'Classic Cantonese Pop Songs (Love Songs especially) '! I don't live in the era where Canto Pop was a big thing, but I really do love them as well as many other love songs be it a sad one or happy one! haha....

Looking at my previous post and I gotta say I have failed terribly to keep up with this blog! hahaha....but ya just a quick note for those who actually follows my blog...I am back in Curtin for the new semester! Everything is good so far...however I miss home very much, my family and friends! So I am going back home end of this month! :) :)

I went on a short trip over the weekend to KL 3 weeks ago. I managed to grab the 0 fares promo from AirAsia at only RM52 (excluding add-ons) KK-KL Return. Cheap right? Haha. I hope there are more zero FARES.

I stayed in Cheras during my trip in KL! One of the most happening places in KL :)

It was during last Saturday Curtin CF (Sarawak Chapter) that we were having our welcoming party to welcome the freshman at one of the popular local beach here in Miri. In one of the games that we played, there was a part that requires the people to voluntarily contribute/donate/offer their straws a.k.a money to the church to build a mega church equipped with best facilities to attract more pre-believers coming to the church.
On our way back from the welcoming party, some of us discussed this subject and taking some of the church we know of for examples. One of my friend said, he actually don't quite agree with CHC believe system of a how church should be. Are we to build God our best House of Worship for Him equipped with the best facilities or a simple one will do? I couldn't say that his views were wrong, but it is all boils down to which believe system that we subscribe to. Surprisingly and amazingly, the devotion material (http://odb.org/2012/03/11/beauty-in-the-church/) that I used the next day speaks directly to me and reassure my believe system that we should offer God our best monetary and non-monetary offerings although I may not be offering my best at times.
There is nothing wrong with building mega church as long as the leadership of the church is convicted by God to build one to serve His purpose and for His glory alone. In the devotion material also points out a very good point that "the beauty was important then because it reminded the people of the worth of God in their worship. During the dry and dusty days of desert wanderings, they needed a reminder of God’s majesty."

Let offer God our best! :)

I am back in Miri for two weeks already.
Time is passing so quickly without me actually noticing it.
For this semester, I am staying at new a place and no longer stay with the university accommodation...
The sad thing about this suppose to be new house, is that my room got water leaking through the wall whenever it is raining heavily. *gotta call up the agent to get it fix ASAP*

As for my timetable, I would say it is still not too tight...but...assignments are torturing!
For my accounting, oh my, the lecturer is from Sri Lanka, and most of us cannot catch his super-fast-english-plus-heavy-indian-like-accented. hahaha.... So I'm having two Indian (from India), one Sri Lankan and 3 local Malaysian as my lecturers and tutors. and there are many other Indian/South Asian nationals around in Curtin working as lecturer. Hmmm? Is it cheaper to hire them as lectures dear Curtin Management? ...some of them are really good. if only they have clean accent ;)

12 weeks to go till final exam! go go go! must work hard. All my buddies u guys can do it.

Drivers out there you should know the rules when there is a roundabout. Got myself into a minor accident due to not adhering to the rules, and I was driving a manual 12 person seater van for the 1st time (with passengers on board) going more than 200 meters. #I am auto an auto driver and not manual driver. Gotta practice manual more xD

The sketch was a literal situation of how I got into the could-have-been-avoided-accident.

My CNY concluded on the 15th lunar by having a dinner over at my aunt/gugu place.

A simple reunion dinner @ Home

What are the must have on the table during reunion dinner? Do you guys have 'BIG FISH' & 'BIG MEAT'? For my family, some of the must have are like steam chicken, kou-rou/ braised yam-pork and roasted duck...and I reckon steam chicken and kou rou are the common must have in most Sabah Chinese-Hakka home.

So, on the first day of CNY I had family breakie @ home. And the video Sexy & I Know It (Hakka) was a hit on youtube. Anything to do with Hakka has become very popular lately. Ciubalak must have spark the hype of using Hakka dialect (Sabah version) in youtube.

Meet Jayden Lo! Yes is the same little fella with the one above this pic which was featured in Louis Pang website. He is my little nephew..such a cutie pie! haha

Went to Meet and Greet bai nian and play with this cutie pie. He is turning 3 years old this year btw.

Apparently my generation has lesser boys! Mr.Lo and Ms Lo (s). How come never get to have all the others like more than 20 plus of them Mr and Ms Lo all together in picture? ;)
