The Shooting Gallery is a brand new graphic comic book style of cards, featuring greetings that transcend the ordinary. The art work is inspired by the fairground and has a movie poster aesthetic. Each of the 9 cards has been designed with a open ended poetic message such as Fly High, Superman, Lucky Six, Nice Work, Survivor, Big Easy, Nice Work, Get Lucky, Funday and Love You. The designs are printed on 5x7 FSC board, with gorgeous gold envelopes.

Well what can I say? Spring Fair was indeed a big one! We are still recovering from 5 days of the charming NEC, sleeping at the airport on something which resembles a brick in somewhere a bit like a cupboard, living off cheesy spamwiches and quite bad coffee. It had to be done!

As usual it was great to meet up with everyone and get out there into the big world of bright lights and madness. Business was good in the end and we are very happy to be back home again at the drawing board, plenty to do....onward and upward...that is the plan!

It sure is very good to be back home again after a fabulous fun few days in the big city! Top Drawer was fantastic, we loved the love, the bright lights and the funky top bananas! We´re going to be strumming the keyboard fast with our little sticks trying to keep up with all the orders, our many new customers, enquiries, questions, little critters, cake slapping, peanut munching and of course all the new designs which need to be finished. Looks like we are going to be busy these next two weeks! Feb 7th Spring Fair is fast approaching, everything is feeling very exciting and looking positive for a very successful year ahead. Late night shopping, piped Christmas carols from crackly speakers, and the sense that time is running out...yep, Christmas is in the air. We´re feeling smug, ´cos we´re already sorted for Christmas pressies (everyone´s getting a chicken made of pipe cleaners, same as last year).

and don´t ever forget the Christmas cards...

Cards help to keep people separated by distance close together, or remind us of loved ones nearby we can´t wait to see again. They are an ideal way to express affection, catch up on family news, and are a distinctive expression of joy and Christmas spirit. Don´t forget to put a few in the post this Christmas. It´s better late than never!

If you frequent the funkier gift or book shops of central London, Brighton, Edinburgh or the Isle of Man, you may have glimpsed one of our gorgeous Bo Cats in your peripheral vision or probably peeping from out of your shopping bag. This week the most cool of the cats is named Lucky and we love him for proving to be very very lucky indeed. If you are a Bo Cat lover, you´re in good company as Lucky is our Number 1 Seller !

We don´t believe in tempting fate, so I´m not going to write anything about how lucky / unlucky we´ve been today (except to say that we´ve had our rods out all day, but not a bite in site, but that´s OK - we like to think of ourselves as Future Sailors).

On a more positive note, the much anticipated Wild Neon range is now so close to being fully operational and launch ready, it´s practically glowing with luminous pink psychic energy, like a great pulsating love orb. Here´s another tantalising taster to keep you hungry. Bear with us a while longer... silliness like this takes time and much inner focus, Daniel-san. Wax on, wax off.

The Adventures of Netsuke Joe

Netsuke Joe is riding hard to catch the No 62 bus. Boosted up with a stiff dose of hot wasabi, he´s off to meet the boys for a few jars and some hairy clams.

This tiny treasure is a netsuke from the collection at the V&A Museum in London. Netsuke were toggles carved of wood, stone or ivory, used to suspend items such as tobacco pouches, bus tickets and bags of pork scratchings from the sash of a Japanese man about town.

While only a few centimetres tall, they capture an entire scene complete with elements of nature, movement and emotion, a universe in miniature.

Well its nearly midnight, the moon is full and the wolves are howling.....just finished watching The Ring. Here is a quick ghost post just before the start of one of the best films for a night like this and our favourite, Kubrick's The Shining.

Thinking about mixing up a bit of gothic in the next card series...not sure if this is a suitable greeting card subject, might have to keep the darkside under control for a little bit longer. However, we do have a lush vampire gal due to appear very soon on the front of a Bo Griffin card, one of three brand new ohh soo popular portrait cards coming your way very soon!
