It can make hair very brittle because of the heat. Keeping that in mind I strongly recommend using Bio Ionic Styling Appliances which causes no heat damage to your hair. The Bio Ionic appliances also infuse moisture & seal hair cuticles, and they lock out humidity and improve your hairs texture.

But remember before you blow dry your hair, blot the water out with a towel first. And it is VERY IMPORTANT not to hold the dryer too close to your head. Always remember that your hair is fragile. Be careful while handling it and it will thank you with more "good hair days."
<xhtml:img xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/BossBeautyBlog/~4/ZqUhxJi-hbQ" height="1" width="1" />

Try our Exclusive Champagne & Rose Ultimate Pedicure...$55

A great way to get started is a pampering foot massage or a therapeutic foot bath. They're relaxing, comforting and are guaranteed to keep you interested in taking care of your feet. Once that soothing feeling that accompanies proper foot care embraces you, you'll want to do everything you can to make sure they stay in great shape.

The next step is exfoliation, which can be a luxurious experience. Try using the following products that are specifically designed to remove dead skin cells from the feet.

Foot Scrubs: Specially formulated to work their magic on the feet, foot scrubs typically contain ingredients that stimulate circulation and condition the skin while sloughing away dead skin cells.

Exfoliating Creams: Which are similar to regular moisturizers, but provide a little something extra for tired, worn out feet. They penetrate the skin with intense moisture and gently exfoliate over time, providing extended relief.

After exfoliation you should use a rich, moisturizing foot cream and then cover your feet with socks. Eventually, your feet will be smooth and supple. And to make the most of your foot care routine, apply an exfoliating foot cream such as Nailtiques Avocado Foot Cream nightly to ensure that your feet stay soft year round.
<xhtml:img xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/BossBeautyBlog/~4/bDcePqdpjvE" height="1" width="1" />

So how does it differ from a regular bikini wax? Basically, with the Brazilian, hair is removed in the front, back and everything in between. Most of the time a "landing strip" is left in the front, but some clients opt for everything removed.

Time Required: 30 - 45 minutes

About Brazilian Waxing:

1 .Most waxings occur in a private room with a door (although I have heard of some with just a curtain between you and others). You'll be left alone to remove your pants and underwear and you'll be asked to lie on a table with clean paper or sheets. It is possible that you may be provided with a paper thong and you can certainly ask for one.

Because you only need about a quarter-inch of hair for the wax to grab onto, your waxer may trim pubic hair to the correct length.

The waxer will then liberally apply talcum powder to the skin. Talcum powder keeps hot wax from sticking to skin.

The best waxers are fast, which means less discomfort for you. The waxer will dip a waxing stick into a pot of hot wax and then spread it onto your skin and hair. She will then apply a cloth strip over the still-warm wax, pressing firmly so the cloth, hair and wax adhere to one another. When the wax has cooled, she will pull the strip off, in the opposite direction of your hair growth, pulling the hairs out by the root.

Most likely, your waxer will tweeze any stray hairs.

Waxing usually starts in the front and moves toward the back. You'll likely have to move around in all sorts of odd positions in order for the waxer to do her job. You may be asked to help hold skin taut.

Once the waxing is complete, the waxer may trim the remaining landing strip, or even create designs (if there are patterns for this, I do not know where they exist). Some women even opt to dye the remaining pubic hair.

The waxer will spread soothing lotion over the waxed areas. You should ask what to do in case of bumps, redness or ingrown hairs. Your waxer should be trained in this.

Don't forget to get the name of the waxer so when you make another appointment you can get the same person so you don't have to bare all for another complete stranger (wink).

Tips:

The procedure, like any waxing, can be very painful at first, but frequent visits usually cuts down on the pain factor. I suggest taking a couple Advil at least 15 minutes (preferably an hour) before your procedure. As for the embarrassment factor -- we like to think getting a Brazilian can't be any more embarrassing than a typical visit to your gynecologist's office. These aestheticians have seen it all before.

The downside of a Brazilian wax... while it lasts as much as 3 weeks, the hair will grow back and you'll have to do it again.

Another downside... hair has to be a certain length before it can sucessfully waxed.

Another down side... you might experience red bumps or ingrown hairs.

Waxing can last up to two months depending on hair growth.

Because oil and collagen production slow down, which reduces natural lubrication, and skin firmness. Therefore, deeper wrinkles and the loss of elasticity are common conditions of the skin pass the age of 40. So to help firm the skin by boosting collagen look for retinol-based creams or serums such asPlantogen's Light Moisture For Oily and Combination Skin, and anti-wrinkle formulas that target stubborn lines. Never forget what the sun can do to unprotected skin. Just because you are in your 40s doesn't mean you should stop using sun protection products. Choose a sunscreen with SPF15 or more.

Noticed anything different about Katie Holmes lately? Say, yesterday?

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise werespotted on the red carpet with her new super long hair do, sweeping below her shoulders (thanks to hair extensions). The new 'do caused a stir at the "Valkyrie" premiere in Tokyo and online. (We bet Tom Cruise wished his movie got the same reaction.) In the last couple of days on Yahoo, lookups have surged on "katie holmes haircut, "katie holmes pictures," and "katie holmes hair."

Katie Holmes hairstyles are always sure to inspire the buzz in Search. Last year when Holmes went from bob to bold, sporting a short pixie cut, hairistas went wild, searching on "katie holmes new haircut" and "katie holmes' posh haircut" to compare her copycat cut inspired by gal-pal Victoria Beckham's coif. Now the slight actress appears to have tired of trim. Crazy seems to work for this celeb. Comments on the E! Online post included coos of delight, noting her previous look aged her and exaggerated her thin frame. As one critic wrote, not too unkindly, "She doesn't look like a dude anymore." Another opined about the 30-year-old: "I love how some women get even more prettier (sic) as they get older." A comment on an Us Weekly story agreed: "She looks so much better with longer hair."

If "hairstory" is a guide, don't get too attached to this new 'do. It's likely she'll change it up again soon.

So you go to your hair stylist and show them a picture of a blond but you are dark brown...hum! Youtell your stylist you want it to look natural...hum. You tell them you don't want to have to come in every five weeks to get your hair colored...hum. And you especially do not want any brassiness...hum!

Well here a few rules of them you need to think about before having this discussion with your stylist:

Do not try to lighten your hair more than 2 levels lighter than your natural color.

The base of your hair should always be slightly darker than the ends. Think of how your hair naturally lightens in the sun.

The top of your hair should be lighter than the underneath. This is where the sun hits it.

The hair around the face should be lighter than the hair in the back.

You should have more of the darker shade rather than the lighter.

Be realistic, think about how the color will look, think and prepare yourself for the maintenance and think if you are ready for the expense. Stop by anytime to have a consultation with one of our stylists. And make sure you use professional products at home to care for your hair. At Christopher Stephens Salon and Spa we recommend using Goldwell Color Care Products.
