Many models swear that the best way to keep the skin hydrated is to drink lots of water, and by using moisturizers which are helpful too, especially moisturizers used at night, because they can work for hours without being rubbed or sweated off.

Also it's important to remember - when you moisturize your face, be sure to include your neck and hands. If you've ever seen a middle-aged woman with the complexion of a 40 year old but the hands of a 60 year old, you'll know exactly what I mean.

And don't forget to shower with lukewarm water! Hot water can strip the natural oils from your body and leave your skin dry.

Now that summer is here you really need to be aware of UV rays and your nail polish. Trust me, after a few days in the sun, your exposed sheer pastel nail polish will turn an unattractive yellow. Well you can stop it before it starts. According to celebrity manicurist Maria Salandra, "Light pink and beige shades turn yellowish when they're exposed to the sun." The solution: Use a clear topcoat specially formulated to prevent UV rays from altering the hue of your favorite lacquer. Try Essie Non-Yellowing Topcoat, it's only $7. Also, when you're at the beach, it's agood idea to rub sunscreen over your nails each time you apply it to your body.

First of all you should never try to remove whiteheads alone! Whiteheads are different from pimples or blackheads. If you try to squeeze the whitehead you can break the skin which can lead to serious skin infections and permanent scarring. So go to your nearest beauty parlor and consult a beautician or a dermatologist. Keeping that in mind, following are some great tips that I give to my clients that are concerned about preventing whiteheads from rearing their ugly white heads.

• Remember that whiteheads usually go away by themselves in a few days.
• To prevent whiteheads from forming in the first place, you should use a mild facial cleanser that is oil-free and wash your face at least twice a day (keeping your skin clean will help to prevent the formation of whiteheads).
• Always apply moisturizer after washing your face.
• Exfoliate your skin once or twice a week with a mild exfoliator to remove the dead skin cells.
• Use skin care products with benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or AHAs.
• Drink at least eight to ten eight-ounce of water a day. This will help keep your skin and body hydrated and helps remove toxins from your skin.
• Always apply a toner after cleansing your face which helps to close the pores.
• Always wear a sunscreen or sunblock with SPF at least 15
• Don't touch your face with dirty hands. If you do you can transform bacteria and cause inflammation.

Two important things to remember:
The best way to prevent whiteheads is to keep your skin clean and well moisturized all the time.
There is a difference between a blackhead and a whitehead. Blackheads are partly blocked pores and whiteheads are fully blocked pores.

And avoid the "comb over," you know where you grow your hair long on top, and then part it to the side and comb it over the balding area. It doesn't fool anyone. So think shorter. Once there isn’t enough hair to cover up the bald spot on top, the best look is real short.

"Apply two coats for complete coverage and colour depth, then seal in the colour with a top coat." Insider advice: red enamel is often the hardest and messiest colour to remove. Barr suggests applying remover to a plastic-backed, lint-free pad. Place it on your nail and allow it to penetrate for a minute. Slowly wipe the colour away in one go. Now you're ready to paint the town red!
