While working with buyers, I see homes of every shape, size, style, and price range in nearly every neighborhood in the city.  Some I&#8217;d love to live in, others just wouldn&#8217;t work for me.  In fact, what I&#8217;m looking for is a bit of a chupacabra&#8211;a single family home, preferably newer construction in a good neighborhood that doesn&#8217;t break the bank.  Move to the suburbs you say?  No way!  With a little help from your CondoDomain experts, we can find that elusive single family in the city.
First you must consider location.  Single families don&#8217;t exist in the Back Bay (unless you have a $4,000,000 budget, that is) so it doesn&#8217;t make sense to look there!  Your best bets are JP, West Roxbury with its truly suburban feel, Roslindale, especially near the Village, or Charlestown.  This weekend I checked out two beautiful options in West Roxbury on Woodley St.  The project consisted of six new construction single family homes, four of which have already sold.  The two remaining are true gems.  Set up off the road and nestled between backyards and woods, you&#8217;ll be beyond impressed by the privacy.  Privacy is one of the first things most city dwellers have to give up&#8211;not here!
Both homes are over 2200 square feet with 2 car garages, beautiful landscaping, and ready for your move in!  The first floor includes a gorgeous eat in kitchen complete with the mandatory granite and stainless appliances but also some extras like a built in wine cooler.  The kitchen flows into a formal dining room on one side and a large living room on the other.  The floor is rounded out with a generous half bath and bonus office with glass doors.  The second floor includes all four bedrooms, two full bathrooms (both with double sinks) and a dedicated laundry room.  Oh, and if it&#8217;s closet space you need, it&#8217;s closet space you will get.  The master bedroom closet was so large and so impressive, if I wasn&#8217;t already in love with the home, I was a goner at that point!  The third floor is a huge, unfinished attic space.  Throw up some dry wall and you&#8217;ve got a room with endless possibilities&#8211;game room, kids hang out, additional bedrooms, storage, whatever you need!  The homes also feature a large basement great for storage as well.
