Thank you very much to everyone who was able to make it out to the first Boston Life Science Networking event on Wednesday, April 6th at the Whiskey Priest. We had over 30 people attend, from many different companies within the biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device and life sciences industries. The event was just the first step in what we hope becomes a large network of connected life sciences professionals in the Greater Boston Area.

My hope is that we can continue to provide a great environment and events for all of us who work in life sciences professions in Boston. There were many great connections made at our first event and I look forward to sharing information with you about future events. Our next event will most likely be in early June or July. Please share with us any suggestions that you may have for future events.

Again, thank you to all who attended our first event. The first event was a great success and I look forward to growing this network and providing everyone with an engine to help drive business, careers, innovation and ideas among Boston Life Science professionals.

April Boston Life Science Networking Event at The Whiskey Priest

I am happy to announce that the first ever Boston Life Science Networking event will be on Wednesday, April 6th at The Whiskey Priest in the Seaport District in Downtown Boston. Many of us will be attending the BIOMEDevice Boston show April 6-7 and I wanted to have our first event in accordance with the show.

The event will start at 5:30 after the BIOMEDevice show has wrapped up for the day. The event will last until 7:30 for those of you that can’t make it at 5:30. You may stay as long as you would like.

The Whiskey Priest, one of Boston’s newest Irish Pubs, is located less than a mile from the Boston Convention Center. We will have a semi-private space for this event and BLSN will be providing appetizers for the group. There will be a cash bar set up to purchase drinks individually.

If you are looking to connect with other life science professionals that work in the medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech industries, this event will be a great place to do so.

I strongly encourage you to invite a colleague, business partner or friend that would be interested in attending this event as well. Boston Life Science Networking was started to encourage professionals in the Greater Boston Area to meet in person to discuss opportunities, challenges, new ideas and most importantly, build relationships with each other among members of the Boston life sciences community.

The first BLSN networking event will be held in early April of 2011. Since the group is very new and membership will start growing over the next three months, the goal is to host our first event in April. Boston Life Science Networking is changing the way that life science industry professionals in the Greater Boston Area are getting connected. Boston Life Science Networking was created to bring together people working in the pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, health care and other life sciences professions, both online and in person at networking events to discuss hot topics in the industry, connect for business and get to know each other in a fun environment.
The group is open to all professionals that work in the life science industry and are interested in meeting other people in the industry to explore business opportunities, collaborate on projects, discuss industry topics and enjoy a pint with fellow members every other month.
