Do I have to get naked?

Nope! I think “getting naked” is one of the biggest fears a lady has when thinking about doing a boudoir session. You don’t have to bare it all to be sexy. ;) In fact I think some of the sexiest images I have taken of my clients is when they didn’t bare it all. Sometimes you need to leave a little room for the viewer’s mind to wonder. lol I know that mind sound crazy but it’s true. What you wear is all about your comfort level. If you’re comfy in prancing around in just your bra and panties, KUDOS to you! :) lol If you’re not that comfortable and prefer to just bare a little bit of skin, KUDOS to you! I think it’s important for woman of all shapes, sizes, ages, etc. to get glammed up and have rockin’ images taken of them! It’s such a huge boost to your self-esteem! It’s not a decision you will regret. :)

Simplicity

You don’t have to have an elaborate setup to take a beautiful image. I love these few shots of Julee because they prove just that. Clear out a corner of a room, place a chair, pose your client, and start shooting. I find during sessions it’s easier to have myself move around to shoot different angles and perspectives than constantly changing my clients pose.

I just loved Michelle’s eyes. They are blue with a golden ring around the pupil. I know, such a totally random thing. Damn near the entire time I was in Paris I shot in black and white. When I had the pleasure of working with Michelle I had to change my settings back to color. The lighting and her hair and make-up just made her pop!

Color or Black and White?

Sometimes I run across an image and I just can’t decide if I like it in color or black and white better. lol Probably sounds silly. Each image has different emotions. So, when this happens I just do both lol. This is Michelle. We worked together in Paris. Her eyes are to die for! And of course you’ll have to see them in another post. ;)

Meet Peggy. She is the make-up artist for the Boudoir Divas. She was one of our models at the workshop, and boy did the camera LOVE her! Every time she got in front of a camera, she rocked it!! I really enjoyed working with Peggy and can’t wait to go through her set of images. Enjoy the sneak peek! :)

One of the most important things about shooting boudoir, is posing. As a photographer you have to know what poses flatter what body types. Here is my battle buddy and I practicing our posing at the Boudoir Divas workshop we attended together. :)

The shoot this weekend was awesome! Hands down one of the coolest shoots I’ve done. My client had awesome tattoos, great taste in her wardrobe, and is a pretty cool person! Just wanted to come on here and post a few quick sneak peeks for her. :)

Posted a Boudoir Casting Call today on the Fan Page. I’m looking for a woman who would be willing to do a portfolio session with me on this Sunday February 5, 2012 at 6:00 pm. I’m trying out a new location in Leimen. I’m pretty excited about it. It looks awesome on the website! I don’t always have the opportunity to post my clients images for public viewing. Usually when I have another session scheduled or don’t fill my marathons, I’ll try to do a portfolio shoot. Hello wonderful blog readers! It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’m so excited I finally get to share an image!! :) About 75% of my sessions are kept private. It’s up to you, the client, whether you want to allow me to use your images on my blog/site or not. Most of the time, and I completely understand ;), ya’ll choose to keep them private. Makes for a pretty boring blog, but I would rather ya’ll feel comfortable. :) Anyways, Ms. M has so graciously given me permission to share an image from her session! She participated in my boudoir marathon this past month at my new favorite shooting location. She totally rocked her session. She sign up for a mini and got just as many images as a regular session. It was hard for her to take a bad shot. Thank you so much Ms. M for allowing me to share your rockin’ image!
