A new hotel opened in New York - The Hotel on Rivington. The place has been entirely renovated and has an amazing 360 degree view over Manhatten and NYC in general.
Many different world famous designer got together and made this place really special. On top there is a duplex penthouse with a view over the whole city. The design is modern, but quite simplistic over all - just great.
If you cannot afford to stay in it, just go have a look and maybe a drink in there really nice bar.

In Tokyo now the 100% Chocolate Cafer opened. The design of the place is really nice and unique.
As the name already says, all they sell is chocolate. This goes from hot chocolate. over chocolate bars to chocolate cakes. The stuff all looks really delicious. In Japan is has already become very popular, also because to them it is a bit european and therefore stylish.
So, if you are in Tokyo any time soon, drop by.

What you see here is the Goldeneye resort. It was one of the favorite places of Ian Flemming. He actually wrote most James Bond stories here, in the villy that one can see on the picture.
Its a beautiful private Island with long white beaches.
So,if you want to get the real James Bond feeling, you must come here.

Cap Cana is a new resort being developed in the Dominican Republic that is a golfer`s paradise. The development will have 3 Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses with plenty of waterview holes. The development also includes the Caribbean`s largest inland marina, which will be big enough to park larger yachts. The resort will feature hotels, a casino and residences which are already being sold. Prices for golf condos start around $325,000.

The private cigar clubs for Members Only is now launching a new subsidary in Miami, after already being present in Bevery Hills and NYC.
All sorts of celebrities are member there, like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Membership costs 4000$ a years, not including extra services like private humidor rentals.

Tablet Hotels is a new hotel group I discovered recently. They have a great worldwirde selection of hotels.
The best thing about these guys is though the rating. For any of there hotels they have real time customer satisfaction ratings. On top of that they choose every once in a while a top 10 list with the best hotels in terms of atmosphere, style, design, service, etc according to the customer ratings. Tablet Hotels also guarantees great prices.

Superfuture is a rather new travel guide. They truly only concentrate on the really cool stuff in cities.
For the moment they have mainly Tokyo, New York, Sydney and Shanghai covered. Some other cities they are just building up.
Anything concerning nightlife, fashion, hotels and restuarants is coveres in there. And these guys you can really trust. The locate by far the coolest places.

What you see here is a Dynamap by the NYC Company Urban Mapping. The Dynamap consists of different layers. Layers can be the subway, cultural spots, hotels, etc. Depending from which angle you look at the map, you see different layers.
A map like this one is very useful in cities like NYC.

It offers 3D, 2D, and plain flat interface navigation through dozens of destinations around the globe with high quality photos from each. Le Meurice is one of the most outstanding hotels in Paris. It belongs to the Dorchester Group and is also member of the Leading Hotels of the World. But there are still some other hotels in Paris who are that. So what makes the Meurice special?

These guys are just very innovative, eventhough very classic at the same time. Women had always a problem keeping an eye on the handbags in resturants. This problem is solved. Le Meurice now put a little HermÃ¨s chair next to every Lady on a table. Like that there is a clear spot for the handbag (mainly the Kelly Bag) and it looks great at the same time.
This idea has style and is practical. What else do you want? But one has to have a nice handbag!!!

The Emirates Palace Hotel sets new standards in luxury. It is a 5* Hotel outside of Abu Dhabi. It has 302 rooms and 92 suits,2 pool escapes, 2 spas, 20 food and beverage outlets. The restaurants will have italian, arabic, iranian and other international food types.
The conference center is more advanced than any other in the arabic region.
Shop miles, 2000 people of staff, etc. It just gets more and more amazing.
It will open in 2005, so lets wait for the first reviews. The Hotel will be managed by Kempinsky.

This past weekend I visited Lyon (France) for the first time. I totally underestimated that place.
Not only is the city historically amazing. One has got one beautiful old building after the other, beautiful fountains.
In the older part of the city their is a great amount of nice little restaurants. The prices are very good. Little lunch menues start at 10 Euros.
Shopping in Lyon is also great. All major brands (Hermes, Cartier, Armani, etc) are represented with flagship stores. On top of that there is also a good amount of mixed stores with newer brands like Bikkembergs, Y3 and others. Faconnable has a huge flagship store over two flores.
Therefore I can only say, go to Lyon and enjoy great food and wonderful shopping in a beautiful historical city.

Le Baroque has been around forever in Geneva. I think already our grandparents danced quite some nights away.
In the mean time Le Baroque has evolved into a Restaurant, Bar, Lounge and also Club. Finally last year it has also been renovated and modernised, which it also needed.
Now one can find a find a rather good restaurant with mediterranean cuisine, a nice Bar and pre-club lounge. Afterwards one can go downstairs into the club, where house and some r&b make a great ambiance and great parties.

Senso is a modern italian restaurant in the heart of Geneva. The food is light and the ambience is also in a very modern, simple italian style. Brown colors dominate the surrounding.
There is not only a restaurant, but also a very nice bar for a coffee in the afternoon or even some drinks at night. Senso is famous for its afterwork parties on Tuesdays.
Check it out and feel like in one of the majot metropoles of the world.

Harrow - Churchill and Harry Potter went here (not together though!!!)

Harrow is together with Eton probably the best known upperclass boarding school in the UK.
Not only are all the buildings really amazingly beautiful, but the list of celebrities, which went through this school does also not end. Everybody from Churchill to King Hussein went to school here. One famous event every year is the cricket match between Eton and Harrow.
For all you Harry Potter fans out there it might be interesting to know, that it was here in Harrow in the Fourth Form Room where Harry encounteres the Stone of the Wise.
When visiting London it is definitely worth dropping by this place.

The Umu is the new number one address of Japanese restaurants in London. It has a Michelin Star.
The food is creative and by far the highest quality of food one can find. The dishes are very different but at the same time exciting.
Prices are of course also very high - for 2 people one can easily spend 200 pounds.
