Shopgirl Erica's baby shower!

Typically, I don't blog about personal stories, but since this involved both Shopgirl Shelley and I, I just had to share the love with our wonderful readers! If you don't already know, I (Shopgirl Erica) am expecting my 4th child. Yes, I said 4th! And, not only was my husband and I just as surprised as you may be, we were even more surprised to find out we were expecting our first little GIRL! Needless to say, it made the surprise of having a 4th baby, a lot more sweeter.

So, with that said, and with the upcoming arrival of this little munchkin . . . my dear friend and business partner (Shopgirl Shelley) and a couple of other dear friends, hosted the most beautiful shower for me this past weekend. It was an afternoon full of wonderful girlfriends, yummy food, adorable gifts and such sweet, sweet decorations. Yes, it was a plethora of PINK!

Shelley put so much time, effort and creativity in to my shower, I just couldn't be any more grateful. The pictures alone don't do it justice, but it sure gives you an idea of how precious it was. Now you may ask, "Where did she get her decor ideas . . . ?" Well, it's our latest addiction . . . PINTEREST! If you haven't visited this site, it's definitely a "MUST" in our book! Shelley browsed Pinterest to find some fabulous baby shower ideas for decorating. All the fun decor ideas were found through the site, and then handcrafted by Shelley. Yes, she's quite the talent! From the pretty little bird house, to the sweet paper floral balls that hung from the ceiling, to the dainty flower pots, it was quite a "girly" site . . . and a wonderful day to remember!

These Boots Were Made For Walking

Goodness it's been awhile since this Shopgirl has posted, and I sure do apologize! But to be honest, I was on a little vacation that was not only a whirlwind, but required a LOT of walking - Disneyworld! And with that said, I must chat about a particular brand of shoe that gets a HUGE, "Shopgirl's Thumbs up!" in my book . . . Dansko!

A friend recommended this particular brand of shoe during my last pregnancy because of their unbelievable comfort and support. So, I decided to purchase the cute boot above for the cool fall and winter months that are quickly approaching. You can wear them cute and cuffed revealing the soft, trendy fur, or, unfolded as shown above.

While in Disney I walked ALL DAY in another pair I purchased a couple of years ago . . . and let me tell you, they DID NOT fail me!
