Just before I left for my overseas trip I had the privilege of attending Carmia and Rogers wedding in Elgin. The venue was lovely, the decor was beautiful but most of all it was a really fun evening spent celebrating with friends. It was the perfect winter wedding!

Roger asked me to make him and his brother some cufflinks and pocket squares for the day. I really liked the red and blue combo, it looked very cool. Roger is an avid sailor so the nautical red and white strips worked perfectly.

Thanks Roger and Carmi for letting me share your wedding pictures.

Hi all! Today is my last day of work for the month. On Monday I'm off on a little Euro adventure. Its been a while since I took leave (almost two years!), so looking forward to a nice long break!

The Bow Peep online store is currently closed but will reopen on the 1 August. But all my retailers are fully stocked!

You can follow my travels on Instagram

Cheers till next month!

Behind the Scenes with The Dollie House

2014-06-09T10:52:00.002+02:00

I recently won a Dollie House competition for a photo shoot and decided it would be the perfect opportunity to do another product shoot for Bow Peep. So this passed Saturday I met up with the Dolly House team at the Bow Peep workshop. I will share the finished product soon but in the meantime here are some behind the scene pictures.

Early morning view from the Side Street Studios parking lot. Woodstock.

New Workshop

2014-05-29T12:39:00.003+02:00

Hi all. Sorry for the lack of blog posts!

At the end of last year I decided I needed to move Bow Peep out of my studio loft at home and find somewhere new to work from. I needed a change of scenery. Its taken months to find a new work space. Everything I found was ether to small and very expensive or way too big. So finally last month I found a rad new space to set up my workshop. I'm now working from Side Street Studios in Woodstock.

I haven't set up a retail display yet, but you are more than welcome to drop me and email and make a time to come and do some shopping.

I unfortunately don't have a hard copy of the magazine but I was recently alerted to one of my bow ties in the Kulula inflight magazine. How cool!

All my bow ties are currently sold out but more are on the way.

What's Playing in the Studio

2014-02-04T15:12:00.001+02:00

Firstly a thousand apologies for being so quiet on this blog. Last year was one of the most challenging years so blogging took a back seat. But its a new year and I will try and be better at keeping you up to date with Bow Peep happenings.

I thought I would kick off with a song that Iv had on repeat in the studio. The song is called Pluto, by DJ Clock featuring Beatenberg who are one of my favourite bands.

Elaine and Bryan’s Wedding

I just love it when clients send me pictures!

Thanks so much to Elaine for sending me these fantastic images from her wedding. I made some blue and white gingham bow ties for her wedding in October. How cool do the kids look with their bow ties!

Fabricate

2013-11-13T22:26:00.000+02:00

Sorry this blog has been so quiet. Its been a really challenging six months and I haven't had time to keep up with blogging. Iv successfully opened a pop-up shop (scroll down to see more about it). Then drama happened and I'm no longer part of that any more. Its been a messy situation and haven't wanted to post anything the blog about it.

But cutting a very long story short...I'm on to a new and exciting project called Fabricate.

Fabricate is a pop-up shop opening on Friday in Cavendish Square. We will be open for the festive season, after that you will have to keep a lookout for our new location.

Find us on the first floor opposite the food court.

Weekend Away

2013-09-19T16:46:00.000+02:00

This past weekend some friends and I took a drive out to a holiday house in Pearly Beach. On Saturday we drove out to Cape Agulhas and Struisbaai. Just getting to Cape Agulhas was a bit of an adventure as we took a crazy back rout on a dirt road, almost ran out of petrol, and we had to turn back at a point due to flooding but in the end we managed to google map our way to Cape Agulhas. Iv never been before so its kind of cool to say I was at the tip of Africa.

A big thanks to You Weddings (Spring/Summer 2013) for including me in there Talented Entrepreneurs feature.
