Hey guys, 234, 224, and 204. I wasn't very consistent, but still held it together. In the 7th frame of the lane game I went pocket 7-10 and the next frame I go pocket 4-9 split, go figure. I just got the Track 811a last week and boy that is a tremendous ball. I can play any and everywhere on the lane, hard to find a ball like that. Super clean through the front and so strong down lane.

Good luck guys!
Hi I am new to this site. I bowl in south australia. I have an average of approx. 151 though I cannot seem to sustain it or improve it. I bowled for around 10 years (stopped 17 years ago) and started up again 18 months ago. Converted 18 mths ago to the fingertip grip and reactive balls. My rev rate is low, my ball speed is around 14mph (which is also considered slow) and I use a 12lb ball. The lane conditions are dry - medium. Can someone please suggest what balls would suit so I can start to build a stock of choices. I am a stroker bowler.

Just bought a Storm Frantic. But would like to add to my arsenal. Thanks.

Well, I didn't hold the team up, that's for sure. 193-154-198, 545. Absolutely NO carry. I even made all my easy spares and picked up a difficult split! I didn't get a double until the middle of the last game, and only got 10 strikes on the night total. It was without a doubt, one of the worst nights bowling ever.

If I keep this up I'm going to take up ping pong.
Only time I ever played Scotch Doubles, it was the players alternated shots throughout. So if you strike, your partner throws the first ball of the next frame. A 3-ball 10th frame means the person who led off the 10th (and threw the 3rd ball) will not lead off the next game.
Maybe my point was misunderstood, would tougher patterns be better for more competitiveness? Of course and I would enjoy it because i am the type that trys to get better. A perfect example my Monday night team bowled in the State tournament a few years ago when I was on that team I was low average on the team I believe like 186 everyone else 200+ they all bowled the same house every week, I because of trying to help Jordan grow we bowled every house we could get to with various shots and lanes. At the tournament I ended up with high average I believe 190 the next closest was around 180 on our team because they were and are one house wonders. But I dont see how bowling would get more bowlers to join leagues if the shot was difficult, I still think you would loose the people who just bowl to get out of the house. I would love to see more sport leagues and again go back to lane inspections after a honor score. Maybe set leagues up like Softball with clases A Class sport shot B (...)
Just some quick math. In my last five weeks, i'm averaging 217.5 1st game, 192.6 2nd game, and 220.8 3rd game. On a posative note, i did toss a 220 2nd game this week. These numbers say i'm listening to what you are saying, keep the info coming. >/smile.gif" alt="smile" title="smile" height="15" width="15" />

This "relaxed grip" thing is really interesting. I've heard people say one tends to pull a shot when they tense up, it makes sense now. You will never run across anyone more "Pro" relaxed grip then me, its the foundation for everything...
Having thrown the Frantic for a while now it is def the best bang for the buck ball i have ever seen. I was thinking about getting the HyRoad but like you said it cost a lot more than the frantic and from reviews on youtube and talking to my driller they are very close. figured i would save a few bucs. Rocket I def have a good line up right now. Even my anarchy fits in very nice between the frantic and modern. Hopefully i am good on bowling balls for a little while cause i think the wife would shoot me if i tried to get another LOL.
Hunter - right there with ya! >/laugh.gif" alt="laugh" title="laugh" height="15" width="15" />

Now, there is a difference sometimes. I've bowled against a team that the average age was something like 70 . . . they took a long time to bowl but that was because a: their ball speed was like 3mph . . . LOL and b: well, it just took them a while to bowl!

THAT is no big deal. We pitched them some smack talk; they grinned and taught us youngsters how to REALLY pitch smack talk! Just about peed our pants, we were laughing so hard.

But if they're just sitting there talking, get your pres to deal with it - or have your league set a general rule about 5 minutes or something and then just skip them. . . muahahahaaaaa

Well, that may not work. Hmmm. . . . fun to think about, though!
Nope, they are typically different on the left and right sides to take into account the difference in users on each side.

If you go to the PBA site and look at the patterns on there you will notice just how different the left and right can be.
I don't think it really matters how you drill a Scout it's going to be weak and I'm not sure you will get much of a difference in reaction anyways. The Scout has a pancake core.
Tonight's bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet)

I had a better night tonight, but another mixed bag. I had yet another first game where I started out throwing decent shots, but then seemed to lose it in the middle of the game. I am happy that my other games were relatively clean, with just a split in the second game and just a chop in the third.

Result: 150-181-201=532
Average (69 games): 173
Average for last 9 games: 170
Next week's AVG+1 score: 543

Everyone was fairly steady, but we could only win one point, some of it due to the lead bowler on the other team having one of his better nights.
OK so after seeing this on ebay i wanted to make one of my own. Here is how I did it.

I started with 1/2 inch PVC pipe (i sent super cheap so if you wanted it a little more heavy duty go with 1 inch). I purchased 2 90 degree elbows, 2 "T" fittings and 1 10 foot section of the PVC pipe.

Cut down pipe to 1 47 inch section, 2 16 inch sections and 4 10 inch sections. That will use all but about 1 inch of the pipe that you can just toss in the trash.

Take the 90 degree elbows and attach them to both sides of the 47 inch pipe.

Then attach the 16 inch sections for pipe to the opp side of the 90 degree elbows so that bowth are facing down in the same direction.

Attach the middle of the "T" fitting the other other end of each one of the 16 inch pipes.

Last step is the attach the 4 10 inch sections to the 2 openings on the "T" fittings to make the feet.

Now all you need to do is get some string, rope, rag or what ever will work for you so you can see it at the lanes. I am using (...)
