Hats Obsession.

2012-10-08T20:56:00.005+02:00

Here we go.
Me, and my new obsession.
Hats.
A good hat can add sensuality and mystery to a pair of smoky eyes.
Let it dangling from your head, your hair loose and ruffled, a jaunty smile on your face.
Is there a more effective weapon of seduction?
For my fall/winter I chose these two hats. That I will show you in my next post

Hi chicks!
Yesterday there was Vogue Fashion Night Out in Milan..
How could I miss it!?
Here's a little reportage of what I saw.
The best thing that happened to me was.. seeing Giorgio Armani, King Giorgio! I hoped I could take a picture with him, but it was almost impossible to get close to him. Anyway, I captured his face in a picture here below, you can see his white hair! :)
I also met Franca Sozzani, Vogue-Italy director, who actually walked next to me for a while but at least I can tell I met her! :)
I tried to take the best pictures I could, hope you'll enjoy!

sweet saturday morning

2012-06-30T13:08:00.001+02:00

Hello ladies! It's finally weekend.. I've had quite a hard week at workactually, so I decided to start the weekend in a sweet way: with coconut sweets!

These are the ingredients:
- Pavesini (it's a particular kind of Italian biscuit, very soft and light.. Here you will find more information and a picture), if you don't have these you can also use a different kind of biscuit, but soft and thin
- a bowl full of coffee (in order to cool it down, you'll need some ice also)
- mascarpone cheese (you know it, don't you!? the soft cheese used for preparing cakes and creams!)
- coconut powder
- a tray, big enough to put all your sweets!

The receipt is very easy.
Just pour some coffee into a bowl and let it cool down.
Then, soak Pavesini biscuits into coffee, and put them in the tray. second step: put some mascarpone cheese all around Pavesini, and cover the biscuit with an empty one.
Final step: roll the "Pavesini sandwich" into the coconut powder (preferably in a flat plate). When you think you have enough Pavesini sandwiches, cover the tray with some protective film and put the tray in the fridge for a couple of hours.
The coconut sweets will taste DELICIOUS!

I hope you will enjoy these sweets :) Have a lovely Saturday!

MY summer'12 must-have

2012-06-17T14:24:00.002+02:00

I'm packing! I am leaving this evening with my boyfriend, just 2 days at the seaside to recharge our batteries before August holidays.. We are staying there on monday and tuesday, I took 2 days off from work (yay!). These unconventional trips are because I have the fortune (or the misfortune?;)) of having a boyfriend whose job is cook.. So, when everyone else is on holiday, or enjoys his weekend, he has to work! And I consider myself like a modern Penelope.. Who saws the shroud while she waits for Odysseus to come back home. Same for me. The only difference is that instead of sawing the shroud, I put studs to clothes. Quite the same actually!

BUT. Let's go back to the main issue: PACKING!
These are my must-have for the first 2-days-break of my summer.
Tell me which are yours!

My new Oysho bikini, twisted top, with little yellow pois on a wonderful navy.

Bangles: the more, the better! You can also wear them on the beach, and in my opinion is the only accesory which should be accepted also when you're sunbathing.. Classy and funny, and they're never too many!

My new Abercrombie plastic flip-flops, in the fluo color which is the trend of this summer! (I'm telling you a secret.. They're from Abercrombie Kids! Colors are the same, sized can fix you perfectly, BUT you will spend a lot less! ;)) These are from Abercrombie - Milan.

My old, dear, beloved, Wayfarer. Always on the first place of my personal Sunglasses chart, these are particular chic because of the turtle color. Ray Ban!

Fresh, elegant, sensual. The best for your summer nights, Acqua di Gioia is quickly becoming my favourite perfume. And it's the one I chose for this little holiday.

This is a long gipsy skirt I bought at Promode a few days ago. It seems to be fresh, and I love the way it swirls! It's a little shorter on the front, and longer behind. This would be perfect with sandals!

This lace top is from Saint Tropez, I bought it last summer during a wonderful holiday and I am surely going to wear it also this summer.. The orange-pink color is amazing, perfect with denim shorts and flip flops. And the lace pattern behind is so classy!

Swatch plastic watch with double band, turquoise. I love it!

..Now, I have to go back to my suitcase..

See you soon! <3

this is mine. from last year. enjoy <3

the best way to start a new day

2012-06-10T11:45:00.001+02:00

linen sheets that softly caress you
a cup of coffee ready fir you in the kitchenthe
the text message your boyfriend sent you, in which he wishes you good morning
the biscuit you start the day with (my favourite is an oval one, an embrace of chocolate and cream.. delicious)
fresh water on your face as you get off the bed
the scent of lavender on your hand towel
the soft veil of cream before you put on the make up
a bunch of fresh flowers and their parfume
the sound of an italian song while you choose what to wear (i can't stop listening to this.. it's called "La Notte dei desideri", which means "the night of wishes".. and the video also is great! min. 1.00 is amazing. ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=293v-uRL6iE)

..this morning opens up fantastic possibilities.

Enjoy your week-end shopping ladies! ;)

Chaos!

2012-06-03T15:13:00.000+02:00

It's incredible how chaos self-generates itself in my room.. Today i had a situation with scarves and foulards. I could have them no more here and there in the house! So.. This is what happened. I accept bets on how long will the order last!;)

TheAnswerIsBlowin'InTheWind..

2012-06-02T12:03:00.002+02:00

..it's weird how the world smiles to me when I tidy my wardrobe up!
I still have clothes I wore 6-7 years ago, when I had a total different look and fashion was not so important to me. I saved only a little, and feel a lot better despite I threw some pieces of clothing that had a link to some memories..
And it's amazing how good I feel when I pack all the old stuff up in order to bring them to the charit shop. Do you also feel the same sensation? :)
I want to celebrate this windy day (and we, ladies, know the effects of wind on our mood..) with these wonderful pictures.
Enjoy your weekend with those you love! <3

Tommy Hilfiger MILLENIUM PROJECT

2012-05-25T21:59:00.002+02:00

Here we are!
I want to share with you one of my latest purchases: Tommy Hilfiger sunglasses.

They are part of the so called "promise collection", and buying them I also did a good action: I am now part of the Millenium Project, which aims to help people throughout Africa.

All the items of this small collection have a desertic flavour, with lovely prints that are simply perfect for this summer.

So far, Tommy Hilfiger has collected 1.064.046€, but the amount increases every day.

And this is me wearing the sunglasses!

Here below you can find the link to Tommy website. It's always a pleasure to promote such a helpful shopping!

Of course you can buy on-line, and have your parcel in only a few days.

So.. Have a good shopping! :)

turquoise happiness

2012-05-20T11:47:00.005+02:00

Hello everyone!
How was your Saturday? Mine was amazing, some shopping in the afternoon (but i behaved.. i haven't spent a lot!) and then evening with friends.
What I want to show you today is my shopping at H&M. You should know how much I love turquoise, so you can imagine my happiness when I saw how many turquoise accessories H&M made for this season!
I thought orange and coral red would have win, but also turquoise is above the most common colors. How happy am I :):)
So I could not avoid to buy some..
And here they are!

In my opinion this color is perfect for summer, is great on every kind of skin (tan or not), and both for blondies and brunettes!
I love this color because perfectly matches with my eyes in summer time, and adds some a bit of cheerfulness to every outfit.
So: thumbs up for turquoise! :)

possibilities..

2012-05-19T13:06:00.000+02:00

Good morning ladies!
The weekend is started, and i want to start it at its best with a poem I love a lot, written by Wislawa Szymborska. It's called 'Possibilities', I am sure you are going to like it as well!
Here some pictures I chose inspired by the lovely words you can find on the bottom of the page. Enjoy your Saturday! And your reading too. <3

I prefer movies. I prefer cats.I prefer the oaks along the Warta.I prefer Dickens to Dostoyevsky. I prefer myself liking peopleto myself loving mankind. I prefer keeping a needle and thread on hand, just in case. I prefer the color green. I prefer not to maintainthat reason is to blame for everything. I prefer exceptions. I prefer to leave early. I prefer talking to doctors about something else. I prefer the old fine-lined illustrations. I prefer the absurdity of writing poems to the absurdity of not writing poems. I prefer, where love's concerned, nonspecific anniversaries that can be celebrated every day. I prefer moralists who promise me nothing. I prefer cunning kindness to the over-trustful kind. I prefer the earth in civvies. I prefer conquered to conquering countries. I prefer having some reservations. I prefer the hell of chaos to the hell of order. I prefer Grimms' fairy tales to the newspapers' front pages. I prefer leaves without flowers to flowers without leaves. I prefer dogs with uncropped tails. I prefer light eyes, since mine are dark. I prefer desk drawers. I prefer many things that I haven't mentioned here to many things I've also left unsaid. I prefer zeroes on the loose to those lined up behind a cipher. I prefer the time of insects to the time of stars. I prefer to knock on wood. I prefer not to ask how much longer and when. I prefer keeping in mind even the possibility that existence has its own reason for being.

DIY - doily candle-holder

2012-05-16T22:56:00.004+02:00

hi ladies!

today i want to show the candle-holder i made last week, it took me only a few minutes and it's pretty nice!

if you want something shabby-chic, or something romantic, this is the right DIY for you!

I only used an old doily (it's better to use a fake one, made in plastic for example.. it would be a pity to cut the ancient doily made with patience by your old granny one century ago!;)), an empty jamjar pot, and a coloured ribbon.

first step: cutting the doily accordingly to the measure of the pot. then, simply stick it (i used vinavil glue, but also spray glue would be fine).

let everything dry off, and then cut some ribbon to stick on the top of the pot.
and that's it!

very easy and very plushy, also if you use it as an ornament. but in my opinion, it gives its best when there's a candle inside! take a look:

Around my neck..

2012-05-13T21:47:00.002+02:00

I woke up this morning with an overwhelming desire of buying a new necklace..

Desire that remained unfulfilled, but at least I found a lot of lovely necklaces on the internet, so I can share them with you! Together with my own favourites necklaces that you can find here:

2 necklaces, same model, with blue and brown plastic gem stones, put together by a ribbon

Seashells (H&M), Butterfly (Accessorize), Heart (Accessorize) and Etnic pendant (vintage)

Light blue pearls with some golden contrasts (I bought this last one during a trip to Egypt, is perfect to wear when you're tan!)

BUT don't forget to take a look to the necklaces I found on the Internet. And I have to admit that the 2 pictures at the end of the post are my 2 favourites.. You will understand the reason for it! ;)

;)

bows and ballerinas..

2012-05-12T22:09:00.002+02:00

Maybe it's the sun, maybe it's the summer that is slowly coming, but these days mean only one thing to me: ballerina shoes.

Actually, I personalized a pair of ballerinas with this lovely leopardskin bow. And this is the result:

What do you think? Do you like it? :) I think they're so sweet!

Here below you can find some other pairs from which you can take some inspiration for your creations..

Tattoo yes, tattoo no!

2012-05-08T21:37:00.001+02:00

I was thinking about a new tattoo, you still have not seen the one I made last december.. Here it is! The Little Prince, on my left ankle.;)
For a new one I Am wondering about making it on a finger, or on my back.. A short sentence, or a peacock feather.. In my opinion, blue and bright green would look amazing on the skin!
What about you? Do you have any tattoo? Inspire me, tell me! :)

SUNDAY inspirational

2012-05-06T17:12:00.001+02:00

I'm just an eye blink away from another Monday, and like for most of you another working week is going to start.
That's why I'm enjoying my Sunday afternoon this much, waiting for having a good glass of wine with a friend tonight..

This was pretty much my day, so far..
And yes, I have a brand new mania for braids! A friend made me the braid you can see in the last picture, with 4 hair locks. It was a pity it only lasted a few hours, we will use more hairpins next time!

Enjoy your Sunday ladies
