Ordered this product through Amazon from their vendor, AmericaRx, based on the product description on the Amazon site. The small product photo shows a box with 2 legs and unreadable type except for Futuro. The Product Features describe " FUTURO Therapeutic Support, Open Toe/Heal Knee High, Firm Compression, Beige, Size: Medium, 1 Pair." The shipping charge was over 40% of the product price. I received my order. SURPRISE !!! Only one stocking is in the package. I call the AmericaRx call center (in India) and complain about their misleading ad on Amazon. The stocking, itself, seems adequate but selling only 1 is preposterous. Still, I even offer to pay for a second if AmericaRx will waive a second shipping charge. I am treated rudely with not even a call back.

I explained the situation by email to Sharon at "customer service" (no US phone for AmericaRx) and they deny that the ad is misleading. They blame me for reading "1 pair" when ordering support hose and expecting to find 2 hose (a pair) in the box. They refuse any adjustment. I'm a long time customer of Amazon with no complaints. I hope this is not a new trend. Amazon needs to screen their vendors and their misleading ads more carefully. I purchased the Gabrialla Breathable Elastic Abdominal binder for Men (12 inch) "in the blind". Never had anything similar earlier and needed to regain some self-esteem after gaining 50 lbs in a year.

This product appears to be exactly what I had in mind. It is comfortable to wear, doesn't interfer with normal physical stretching, bending, and lifting. I wear this binder when working in my woodworking shop and also during social occasions. I am completely satisfied with this binder and plan to buy several more identical items to cover laundry time-outs.

This is my first experience with "on-line shopping". Might I also commend Amazon for the easy method of shopping and the quick shipping. No running from store to store looking for something I was completely unfamiliar with. I'm an "Amazon" customer from now on out.

Can't explain why but this thing helped me I think. I am a massage therapist. I don't even use it regularly. I just fiddled with it when I first got it and then my wrist started feeling better. This is the second Cuddle Cat in our house, the first as a gift, and now our own purchase. The first one we received was a gift and it has lasted over 10 years of regular (not nightly) use and it still warms up great. It is also surprisingly light in weight for it's size and heating capabilities. It was just starting to look like a "street" cat instead of a "Spa" cat, so we bought a new one.
Just pop this cat in your microwave to heat it up and it will last for 15 minutes or so of real time use. Just be careful though, in case you happen to have a real cat, lavendar in color, that you don't put the wrong one in the microwave. One will give you hours of relaxation, the other...

After snowboarding with wild abandon and complete disregard for unfamiliar surroundings/conditions, I hit the 2ft. feather-bed layer of snow with an inaudible thud. The reason for the silence was the M1A1 Abrams blast coming from my knee encompassed all - so loud it produced an echo to which a Swedish guy in the Alps replied. My injury occurred in New Mexico.

Hence, I'm in a knee immobilizer.

What is there to review on a knee immobilizer? First and foremost, does it immobilize the knee? The unequivocal answer to that question is yes. If a healthy, uninhibited knee has 130 degrees of flexion, that range of motion is decreased to about 2 degrees while wearing this immobilizer. And, if worn properly, the internal rotation is probably less than a degree inward or outward. This is the Alcatraz Island of knee restraint.

Aside from the successful major purpose, this brace is warm and very lightweight. A small, upward curve on the backside of the brace works well for the natural curve of the knee (sort of like the fancy lumbar support in some cars), and prevents hyperextension when resting (despite the fact that an injured knee feels like it's nearly always hypterextended).

Ignoring the obvious restrictions of the immobilizer, the soft padding and stretchable velcro straps adjust comfortably to most legs. The amount of rotational movement is all up to the wearer, as the velcro straps allow for everything from "slipping dress sock"-loose to "boa death grip"-tight. The related problem, however, is that the brace is guaranteed to slide down an inch or so unless worn tight enough to produce a condition I like to call "Purple Barney Foot," which is not a good thing.

I was advised by my doctor to buy some compression stockings. After measuring my legs I first went to CVS and bought their "Futuro Anti-Embolism Stockings Thigh Length Closed Toe 18mm/Hg Medium Regular White". These fit fairly good. I wanted to see if I could find something better in black.

I ordered a pair of these in medium. I was sent a large size by the company (not Amazon). I then tried again by ordering a second pair and again was sent the wrong large size. I contacted the company. They were very nice and paid for the return shipping and sent out the medium pair. They also recommended another brand that they thought would be a better fit. Unfortunately, what they recommended based on my measurements does not fit and they will not give a refund.

I have long, slender legs. The Jobst mediums were too loose to offer any compression and far too short. The other brand was not much better. I do not see how either brand would be long enough to fit the thigh of hardly any adult.

I found the Futuro brand from CVS or Walgreen to be a much better fit. I am still trying to find a pair with firm compression that fits.

Addendum:

It has been a long and difficult experience to try to find the right compression stockings. I have finally found the Juzo brand which is longer and tighter. I have a pair of size 1, maximum length, 20-30 mm, closed toe, black. They work pretty well although they do not stay up well and squeeze my toes causing them to hurt. I've been quite a good customer for amazon for a while now, and I've purchase a lot of stuff and so far, I've been quite satisfied with the items I have received. BUT this seller is unbelievable, I order these knee stabilizers (I order two) and what I received was two COMPLETE DIFFERENT KNEE STABILIZERS. Like the curate's egg, this knee brace is good in parts ... I have large knees (19.5" at the point just above the knee) and a woman's leg shape (rapidly widening), which means that few knee braces fit well.
The Good:
* The X-Factor knee brace is comfortable when fitted right and provides better knee support than any other knee brace that I have (and I have tried quite a few). I can walk more easily, with less pain, than in other knee braces.
* It holds the knee relatively immobile, while allowing it to bend when you move. This is good for arthritis sufferers, as it stops your bones rubbing together too much.
The Bad:
* The "hook" part of the hook-and-loop fastener is on the strap rather than the body of the brace. If the reach of the strap is just a little too short for your leg-girth (women - take note), the hooks dig into your skin, *painfully*. Such a small, stupid, design flaw.
* The brace is made with foam-backed neoprene (most are made with fabric-backed neoprene). It can become incredibly hot and sticky after about 15-30 minutes of wear. When you take it off, you itch for hours afterwards.
* The brace is really uncomfortable after a few hours and I need to take it off - my knee tends to be stiff afterwards and it hurts. This may be because it is not designed for my leg girth so it tends to over-tighten in wear.
Overall: The support is worth the discomfort, but I can't wear this brace for more than a couple of hours.
