Pretty in Purple..a wedding to Remember

Purple was our bride, Katie Hoppel’s favorite color..and wow did we use a lot of it. This was a beautiful outdoor wedding held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Snodgrass in Brentwood, Tennessee. The weather was perfect, the bride was beautiful and I think the decor turned out just as she wanted.

These iron centerpiece containers (that belong to us) make a fantastic statement. Katie wanted a wildflower look as the reception s was an outdoor event.

The bride had a fabulous bouquet made from vintage jewelry that she had custom designed and we designed bouquets for her bridesmaids using fresh flowers.

The cupcake stand was custom designed and made by the bride’s father!

A beautiful day for a beautiful couple!

Southern wedding at Belle Meade Plantation

Lara, one of our brides this year, loved the look of a southern wedding and chose Belle Meade Plantation as her location. Her planner, Karen Kaforey of Signature Events, helped her achieve that look, along with our team here at Branching Out. Lara loved the color blue, with accents of black and wanted that expressed in her florals. We used some of our black iron containers to achieve the plantation look.

Wow…it has been a long time since I’ve had time to post anything new on the site..so sorry for the delay, but we have been very very busy here at Branching Out. The photo above and below are from an amazing wedding of Dena and Shawn…who merged two cultures into their wedding. Dena is of Indian decent, while Shawn is Catholic from Louisiana! The mandap was covered in fresh greens, white roses, white lillies and white dendrobium orchids. The ceremony took place on top of the fountain in the Delta area of Opryland Hotel (yes, the hotel turned off the water and covered the fountain with a floor!). Thanks to Arlene and Doug from Ace Photography for the photos. Look at the bride’s dress…is that not amazing?

Latest vintage furniture painting project!

I have not painted furniture in several years and I forgot how much work it is! Our other shabby chic pieces came to me already painted/aged and worth every penny!

This buffet piece will be used in a wedding in August as an ALTAR TABLE, as the bride and groom are not having their ceremony in a church, but rather a warehouse venue. Can’t wait to show photos from that one. Another bride has this rented to use as a BAR.

Did you realize that all of our shabby chic decor is available for rent..to brides, florists, planners..even if we are not designing the flowers?

Trendy Fun Wedding in Nashville

Having a little break between weddings is giving me time to start blogging again..and start sharing some weddings from our amazing brides we have had this year! Emily & Scott..the bride and groom from this wedding were a delight to work with..so easy going and fun..and they wanted their wedding to be that way as well. I just love the colors they chose..yellow and red, with grey as the background color..happy fun colors. The wedding and reception were held at Nashville’s W.O. Smith School of Music (how Nashville is that?). Loved the candy and cake bar they designed for their guests..and what about the music bus????

Garden Wedding at Cheekwood With a Vintage Touch

Now that it is SO hot here in Nashville, it is great to look back at our weddings from the spring..when it was pleasantly warm and delightful in the gardens of Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. The bride chose navy, white, green and yellow as her colors….she wanted just a touch of vintage..and a touch of “preppy”…makes a great look. Hope you agree! She used some of our vintage milk glass and iron containers, our white lanterns (with navy & white stripe ribbon of course)..vintage coffee urn for the java bar…and lush florals in yellow, white and green. Enjoy!

Aren’t these the best ever? Just got these vintage wash stands in..now available for rent for your shabby chic/vintage weddings or events. These can be used to hold iced down drinks..or we can put a top on them (wood or glass) and make a fabulous guest register table! Can’t wait to see these in use!

Branching Out

Well, the holidays are over and now it is time for BRIDAL SHOWS! So many couples either get engaged over the holidays or they wait until the holiday season is over to go into “overdrive” planning mode! The above photo was taken by our friend and amazing photographer, Derrick Pierce. (Please check out his website!). The look this year is shabby chic…chic rustique…vintage. So, since we have so much vintage decor in our rental inventory..that is the look we will be showing this season. Not that we don’t still have brides who want classic, traditional, contemporary and a little funky as well!

We will have a booth this Sunday, January 16th at the Weddings the Bridal Show, held in downtown Nashville at the Convention Center. Show time is 11am to 5pm. Stop by our booth and give us a shout. We will have basically the same look…with some expansion in size and look. See you there!
