Challenge The Impossible

When you create a buzz of over 30,000 views in just 3 days with something called the ANTIResume Manifesto, you develop a mindset for challenging things that others view as impossible.

And you make sure that you associate with others who challenge the impossible too!

Do The Impossible

This is a project I did for Joel Runyon of Impossible HQ. Joel is making the world a better place by inspiring people to do the impossible.

I’ve known Joel personally for quite some time now and know that he is doing some amazing stuff with his community. Because of his track record and dedication, I was more than happy to work with him when he approached me with this project.

Check out the presentation below and then check out Joel’s site for more inspiration + action.

Remember, something is only impossible until it’s been done.

My Public Declaration of Intent

The word ‘manifesto’ is used so often that people have forgotten its actual definition: A public declaration of intent.

I mean for this manifesto to live up to its definition.

Announcing…

The ANTI-Resume Movement

My dream job is to be the voice of a brand that is making the world a better place. No resume will ever fill that position. One to three sheets of paper isn’t enough to convince someone to let that happen. It just doesn’t make sense.

So I’m changing the rules of engagement.

I’m ditching the resume and demonstrating that I know how to do that which I want to do. Anyone reading this will have arrived here as a direct result of my efforts to be the voice of THIS brand.

My Invitation

My invitation is two-fold:

If you represent a brand that is making the world a better place, I’d love to hear from you and start a conversation.

If you are a victim of the resume process, I invite you to join me in the ANTI-Resume Movement.

Regardless of which one you are, I believe WE can make the world a better place by combining our superpowers.

View the manifesto below and consider my invitation. I’d love to combine our superpowers!

You have something to say

Making yourself heard is a necessary component to success.

But where, to who, and how you will say it may elude you.

If only someone could give you a few pointers.

Two are better than some*one*

And so it is with this presentation.

I teamed up with the host of BlogcastFM, Srini Rao, for this presentation. Srini has close to 200 interviews under his belt and regularly speaks with the best and the brightest online. Combing through his archives, he focused on those who are known for their speaking skills.

Using the quotes as inspiration, I crafted today’s presentation.

Make sure to check out BlogcastFM and follow Srini on Twitter at @skooloflife.

Inspired?

Thousands of words in hundreds of blog posts every week.

An endless sea of ebooks and “manifestos”.

Multitudes of Twitterers, Facebook fans, and statuses updates on every possible social network conceivable.

We consume a lot of information on a regular basis.

But how much actually inspires us?

Wisdom and Beauty

I created Inspiration Squared to be an oasis in the middle of all that information. Combining quotes and wisdom along with images of beauty, I hope to offer you a break from the norm.

If you like it, share a link or comment…or don’t. Either way, I hope you are inspired as you continue on the path to YOUR heroic destiny.

Enjoy.

OK, now go be inspired!

Waiting for permission?

Feeling held back because you lack in the “education” part of your resume?

Think that success is out of your reach?

Are you waiting for permission to be successful?

College Dropout Billionaires

We live in a culture where people “wait for permission. Permission to do what they love. Permission to do what they love. Permission to let their ideas and vision have a place in the world. They wait for someone to manage them and their dreams instead of taking responsibility for their own lives. They complain instead of solve and wait for a list of tasks they can check off and say ‘Done’.”

Education isn’t bad, but too many people use it as an excuse. This presentation lists 11 people who chose to be different. The didn’t wait for permission, they went out and made their own fortune.

Feel free to view the presentation above in the SlideShare version or download it with the link below.
