Napkin Holder - Porta guardanapo

This pattern was inspired on Jericoacoara's Crochet. All restaurants has one of that to keep the napkins.

You will need:

- 01 Bella - Pingouin Yarns

- 01 hook 2.0mm

Botton

Follow the chart below:

Start with 6 chains, more 2 and 3 double crochet; 03 chains an

d 04 double crochet (make more 03 and close the round)

Round 2-8: in the chains, make 02 double crochet and follow with double squares to close the round.

Follow until round 8 and make more 03 rounds with double crochet (don't increase!)

Top

You will repeat the same chat above and stop in the round 8.

Assembly

Make sleep crochet to join the botton with the top, but let 1/4 of the work open.

Flower

Make 40 chains and make with 38 double crochet. Sew making a roll, forming a flower.

Pearls Baby Coat

Here is an example of using Cibele's stitch. Some people's feedbacks said that the stitch is Broomstick Lace. In Portuguese, I didn't figure out what it is the real name.

So, let's work on Baby Coat.

The materials that I used was:

- Anne - Circulo's yarn

- Hook 1,75 mm

- 2 buttons of pearls

- Hook for sewing

Back

Start with 70 chains and more 2.

Round1: in the second chain, make a slip stitch and begin the Cibele's Stitch.

Round 2 - 9 = continue the stitch

Sleeves

Start with 50 chains and more 2.

Round1: in the second chain, make a slip stitch and begin the Cibele's Stitch.

Round 2 - 8 = continue the stitch

Right Front

Start with 35 chains and more 2.

Round1: in the second chain, make a slip stitch and begin the Cibele's Stitch.

Round 2 - 7 = continue the stitch

Round 8 = continue the stitch, but decrease one stitch (one lace) to make the neck

Round 9 = continue the stitch, but decrease one stitch (one lace) to make the neck

Left Front

Start with 35 chains and more 2.

Round1: in the second chain, make a slip stitch and begin the Cibele's Stitch.

Crochet in Jericoacora

On vacation, I went to Jericoacora, Ceara, Brazil. It is considered one of the ten most exuberant beaches of the planet. It's located at 313 km from Fortaleza (capital of the State of Ceara).

Beside of the beautiful beaches, dunes and all the nature, it is a place that you can see a lot of crochet works. The crochet craftsman are selling in the beach, at hotels lobbies wherever you go. They sell beautiful things and when there is no customer around, they are crocheting. These women are quickly and precise in their work.

Crochet is part of the culture of this State. You can see crochet placemats in the restaurants, hats, bikinis, napkin holders in hotels' tables. It's something to inspire.

Below, some pictures of Jericoacoara's crochet. Soon, I intend to publish some patterns inspired on their works.

Cibele's Stitch

Look like knit, but it's crochet!!!

This is a new pattern that I've learned with a friend called Cibele. That's why I'm calling this stitch her name. I've never seen this before, that's why I'm sharing with you. It's very simple and easy to do. You can use this pattern to make shawls, baby coats, blanket, whatever you want.

You will just need is a piece of rigid paper ou small plastic ruler. The height of your paper or

plastic will be the size of your stitch. So, choose thinking about that. In this example, I chose a piece of rigid paper as you can see below:

Now, let's start working. Get your yarn and the appropriate hook and we will start crocheting.

Start with chains. Make chains multiple of 5.

Make 2 more chains and make a single chain.

Now let's start Cibele's Stitch. You will enlarge this stitch and put it on the paper.

Make others loops in single chain and put it all of them on the paper.

Take the stitches away.

Get 5 loops and make 5 single chains. Get more 5 and make more 5 single chains until the end.

In the next round, you make the same as you can see in the picture below:

Follow the others instructions and make the second round.

Crochet Bag

This is my new finished project. It's a bag that is so easy to do and the result is great. This pattern was created by Lucy of Attic24. Here is her blog with the pattern: http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/crochet-bag.html

I used Anne by Circulo yarns. You can notice that I have a lot of works with this yarn. I bought to do a blanket, but it didn't work out, so, I'm using all of this bought yarn doing other things.

Basically, you just need to crochetting a circle increasing all rounds and when you get the desired size, you stop increasing. Easy don't you think?

Stripped Bikini

If you have some kind of difficult to understand, because it's wrote in Russian (I believe so!), you can use google translator. It's not a perfect translation, but it helps a lot.

I used Anne yarns and 1,75mm hook. Cream, purple, and pink was the colors that I used.

Sweet Baby Booties

This pattern was inspired on Sapatinho Tricô & Crochê magazine.

So, let's work on:

Size: 8 months
Yarn: Pingouin Baby - white colour
Hook: 1,75 mm
Pink lace

Begin: 4 chain and follow the picture below:

Finish after following the model above. Sewed the sole and make one more round of dc on the top. In this round you can pass the pink lace through.

Make another one.

Easy, don't you think?
